Stayed here just one night en route from Lisbon airport to Lagos. We had flown overnite from Canada. Very clean, a bit Spartan, but functional for a one night stop. Staff was friendly and helpful - spoke excellent English. Property was smallish, but a nice little oasis in an industrial area. Has a pool (January - we didn't use it) and a nice covered porch area. Very pleasant.

Room was hot and muggy; AC works only during the summer months - was told to open a window, by front desk; and although room dimensions are provided, the room (1 QBed) was extremely tight and small; definitely not worth the rate to stay there - unless your plans are NOT to go to Lisbon...Setubal is cute community, just a bit of a drive (45 mins) to Lisbon; pay the extra and stay in Lisbon or much closer.

The pool was nice but space for lounging by pool is small. There were many wasps a flies near the pool which made it difficult to relax. Reasonable price for a small basic room but out of the way from Setubal amenities that are walking distance. Recommend using an uber to get to other places .

Lovely stay at the Ibis Setúbal

We had a lovely stay at the ibis and only really marked down as though the rooms are very clean, just a bit tired looking and the air con we couldnt use as it blew out smelly air - might just be a filter issue, thank goodness it wasnt too hot. The resturant opposite - Os Barros - was great for lunch/dinner, though getting across the road on foot was a bit hairy. Breakfast selection was ok - enough to get you on your way for the day.
For price and location, it was very good & likely to use again in the future.

Free parking just outside the hotel. The rooms are dated and in need of a renovation. Looks like they've renovated the entrance, lobby and hallways. Would highly recommend changing out the carpets in the rooms. Room was quiet and I got a good nights rest. The hotel is next to the highway so getting to Lisbon is very easy.

I really liked the people who worked here. Especially housekeeping, they were always so kind in the hallways. Front desk is also kind as well. Really great people. I will be honest and say that I did not like the carpet in the room rooms. It felt a little dirty… I don’t think it was any part of the housekeeping. It’s just having carpet overtime gets gross. The hotel is away from the main areas of Setúbal that I was planning on visiting, but there’s a bus stop nearby, and Bolt services (which if you live in the US is basically just like Uber.) the restaurant nearby is pretty good too for traditional Portuguese food and drink. Plus there is a good football game on, and it was fun to watch people get excited about the teams.

The breakfast is pretty good at the hotel, too. even though it was pretty average, regarding the hotel itself. ibis is a brand that’s trying and true, for having a decent enough accommodations.

The reception, buffet/restaurant areas are super modern, the hallways and all the up until the room door are excellent.
However the bedrooms need updating asap. There is no water, coffee facility, there is only soap available, hairdryer and phone in the room.
The condition of the walls, ceilings, carpet needs some work as it looks so dated.
The bathroom was modernised but the walls showed humidity on the bottom and I even found a spider in the sink one morning.

The staff was very good - let us check in early. No in-room coffee - 3 euros for a tea. Reported very dirty floor and smelly bed on check-out but don't think they were going to act on it. Feral cats annoying. Pricey for what it was.

It was a bit far from the centre, but not too expensive to taxi into Setabul, the pool area was really drab but that is probably because of Covid restrictions. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful

I could not be more happier with the Ibis Hotel on the outskirts of Setubal. I did not have a car BUT a bus stop and reliable taxi service meant coming and going was a breeze. The swimming pool was very popular. The breakfast spread was outstanding as was the level of service I received. Highly Recommended.

Room kind of smelled. Even after turning on the AC, the smell just got worse. Maybe just some nice ventilation would have made the night much better.

Also I’m pretty short, but I can easilyyy touch the ceiling in the shower. The shower is raised, compared to the other parts of the bathroom, so if you are around 6 feet tall, it may be a little uncomfortable.

Great swimming pool

There is nothing immediately outside the hotel except a cafe across the road. However this cafe is family run and serves typical Portuguese style food at very reasonable prices. Hotel Ibis only provides prepackaged meals unfortunately. About 15 mins walk down the road is an Intermarche supermarket and another 10 minutes further is the Allegro Shopping complex. Along the way there are quite a few restaurants. The hotels looks like it has been recently renovated and displays trendy decor. There is no lift in this hotel but if you have a lot of luggage perhaps request one of the many rooms on the ground floor.
The room had a single wardrobe and adequate space for luggage storage. The bed was very comfortable with great pillows and the bathroom was compact but acceptable with nicely done shower unit.
We did not have issues with any of the staff who were pleasant and courteous. Breakfast buffet is available for $6.90 which appeared attractive but we did not have any.
The Wifi and aircon were excellent. A lot of English TV channels which was great. Lots of free parking available within the hotel grounds. Great swimming pool.
A good value hotel. No surprises. Would definitely stay again.

Overall ok stay, but not 3 star quality. The hotel is quite dated and the carpets are rather old and looked dirty. At first we were given a room with a really foul-smelling bathroom. Thankfully reception was able to respond to this complaint quickly and put us in another room which had an updated bathroom.

This hotel is about 20km from Lisbon. My husband and I stayed here for two nights so we could visit Lisbon. The hotel was very clean, confortable and staff very professional and helpful. Good value for money, highy recommended!

There was no electricity in the Hotel for the 2nd night and the morning that we left. No hot water no light in the dark Bathroom. Only a token cold breakfast. All night we were promised that they are waiting for Electrician to start their own generator. That was a total lie. They should refund us the charges for 2nd night. The bathrooms were totally dark and we used our mobile phone lights.

Good value for money, good location providing you have a car. We found the hotel comfortable and very helpful
staff. It has a nice swimming pool and as a nice touch it provides a ocurtesy car washing facility for guests use
We had some great drives from here to the surrounding areas, particularly to the beaches small harbours and into the national park. As a tip take the train to Lisbon from Setubal, only 14 euro return for seniors, about 55minutes each way.and a spectacular view from the 3.5 km bridge into Lisbon.
Would definetly stay here again.

Quiet with a nice pool

Like most ibis, clean quiet and with a very helpful staff. It has a nice pool and lawn area. It is on the edge of town fairest from the beaches but that doesn't really matter since the town isn't a tourist destination. It is very convenient to the highway into lisbon.

Good for summer

You always know what you are going to get when you choose Ibis, and that is why I like it. Simple, clean rooms, comfortable, and reliable. The hotel in Setúbal has a green courtyard with swimming pool, very appealing in the time we were there due to the 35ºC outside. Unfortunately everyone in the hotel thought the same and it was always packed.

✔ Very friendly, helpful staff - top marks to them! Just off main N10 road so easy to find. Clean and modern foyer. Large carpark. ✘ Dinner was not freshly cooked but a microwave meal (though they did tell us this when asked). Location a bit far out if you intend to visit Setubal but was fine for us. Overall: basic, standard Ibis chain hotel, so no big surprises but nothing to write home about either. Beds were comfy enough. Breakfast was 6€ extra but quite nice and eat as much as you want (breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, fruits, yoghurt & nice Portuguese cakes). Didn't find it noisy as someone else said.

A estadia, apesar de curta, correu muito bem. Muito bem recebida. Staff muito simpático, atencioso e profissional. Assim que cheguei informaram-me de que o hotel estava a sofrer uma pequena remodelação, pelo que seria expectável algum ruído durante a tarde, mas que por isso mesmo me tinham colocado num quarto mais afastado para diminuir o nível de perturbação, algo que agradeci. Hotel tranquilo, confortável, extremamente limpo e com as comodidades necessárias. A sua localização a poucos Km das Mouriscas (local que tencionava visitar), tornaram-no o hotel ideal para a estadia. A regressar sempre que estiver pela zona.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour la piscine...... qui est hors service pendant 1 mois alors que la température est de 30 degrés.
L'entretien et la réfection devrait se faire en hiver, la direction devrait être Prévoyante et anticiper !!!
Mauvaise gestion, je déconseille !!!!

The only positive is the friendliness of the staff. That aside, it does not provide you with a good experience. Rooms are simple and clean but you can hear pretty much everything from water running in the top bedroom to people walking and talking on the corridors or your neighbour next door which means not so restful evening. Breakfast is way to simple for the cost and a bit confusing in organization. We are asked to use disposable gloves but no concern with the amalgation of people gathering the food. Swimming pool is also to small for the number of bedrooms available so not really the extra they advertise. It´s not cheap as well, so would expect a lot more.

Deutlich ruhiger durch die covid-Situation, es wird sehr gut auf Reinigung und Hygiene der Anlage geachtet, der Verzicht auf Liegestühle am Pool dürfte diesbez. aber bitte überdacht werden denn die Gäste legen sich dann einfach auf den Boden aber bleiben trotzdem im Pool-Bereich liegen. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hier, sehr grosszüge Parkplatz-Situation direkt vor dem Hoteleingang, sehr gut. Hotel ausserhalb vom Stadtzentrum, ideal mit Mietwagen. angenehm ruhig, gepflegter Aussenbereich mit grün und Pool. Gerne wieder.

Das Ibis Setubal liegt etwas außerhalb. Es ist in gutem Zustand. Der Staff ist sehr freundlich. Es sind ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden und das Internet funktioniert prima.
Wichtig in diesen Zeiten; das Clean and Save Protokoll.
Darauf wird geachtet ! Der Tarif für eine Nacht ist fair. Wenn man mit einem Mietwagen unterwegs ist, eine klare Empfehlung !

Amabilidad, la justa.

Estancia en general buena obviando algunas irregularidades. El hotel está bien aunque las fotos no son del todo reales. La foto de la piscina está hecha desde un angulo que la hace parecer grande y en realidad es muy pequeña. En las fotos de la habitación aparecía suelo de madera (parquet o tarima) y es totalmente falso, todas las habitaciones tienen moqueta en el suelo, según recepción, después de haber pedido cambio de habitación. Hay que tener especial cuidado con el suelo de la ducha, resbala demasiado. El desayuno está bien, pero un poco caro para lo que ofrece en su opción de Buffet, teniendo en cuenta los precios de las cafeterías en setúbal. (además no suelen reponer con frecuencia los productos que se terminan). Por último, la amabilidad del personal, sobre todo en recepción, podría mejorar bastante.

La estancia estuvo bien. Estuvimos dos noches y pedí pagar al final de la estancia. Me descontaron el total como depósito y me dijeron que no me preocupara, pero a día de hoy, aún no me han devuelto el depósito y me han contado el total dos veces. Ahora tengo que estar llamando al hotel, me han dicho que me lo devolverán, pero aún no lo han hecho.
