Have stayed at a few all inclusives. The property was clean but the pool had a lot of sunscreen and drinks spilled in it. The staff had a hard time keeping food and dishware available for the buffet and the room was quite small for a family of 4. Otherwise, it was a nice pleasant stay and everything seemed to be in working order. The valet was great helping get taxis to various locations.

Believe me when I say look elsewhere. Royal Solaris Los Cabos all-inclusive resort fell far short of expectations on multiple fronts.

The food was so disappointing and at times disgusting! During our 7-night stay, we were allowed three dinners at reservation-only restaurants (Ponchos, Marco Polo, and Zai). They were the worst!!! The food was so bland and tasteless, we couldn’t even finish the small portions. More alarming, we discovered hair in our food at both the buffet and one of the specialty restaurants, which is simply unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. All servers wore hairnets but I wonder if behind-the-scenes kitchen staff wore them.

The rooms compounded our frustrations. Visible mold and mildew in the shower, combined with paper-thin walls that did nothing to muffle the noise from the room next door. We could hear snoring and crying children. All of it made for anything but the relaxing getaway we had hoped for.

We booked three rooms for our family of 5 adults because the wedding party stayed there (about 70 people in total). The parents of the groom are club members, and they were so embarrassed about the deterioration of the food quality and customer service. As a business leader myself, I highly suspect it’s from the lack of strong leadership. Management clearly wasn’t present. We won’t be returning, and we’d encourage others to read these reviews before booking. Be forewarned and stay away from Royal Solaris Los Cabos.

Food was terrible, no variety either, we were hungry all week. Staff were friendly but not available like most all inclusive I’ve been to. Paid $600 for the room upgrade, waste of money. Room was never stocked on drinks. Our balcony was rusted & we had to constantly watch our 2 year old so she didn’t touch it! Toilet was broke & our sink drain wouldn’t drain properly. The Murphy bed was so dangerous, heavy with no lock we had to move the table in front of it. While it’s a kid friendly resort, we couldn’t relax in our own room with our baby because of this.

I think you only do things for the members. We spent most of our days at the adult pool, and there were two cabanas reserved for members that never got used. The only lunch was the buffet, and the food was always the same when there was food. Most breakfast we had to wait for food. The halls at night were very noisy, and there was no security to stop it.

We had a great time at Royal Solaris, more than we anticipated! We arrived prior to being able to check in and were quick assisted with storing our luggage and gaining access to the resort's amenities. Cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff! Every interaction that we had was cheerful and positive. The bartenders were constantly working to provide efficient service, all being done with a smile. The grounds and our room were always impeccably clean. Food was good, lots of options on the buffet. Increased availability for reservations at the restaraunts is the only suggestion that I would have. We definitely got our money's worth and would return in the future.

While there were several highlights during our stay, the experience was overshadowed by a lack of dining inclusivity and a very troubling interaction regarding a timeshare presentation.
The Highlights:
The poolside wood-fired pizza was amazing—a huge shout-out to Jose Luis for his incredible work. The entertainment staff was also fantastic and kept things engaging; Daniella, Victor, and Alexandra did a great job keeping the energy up by the pool.
We also want to recognize the excellent service at the swim-up bar and from the servers. Raul is an amazing bartender, and Paulina, Luis, and Salique provided top-tier service that truly stood out. Additionally, while the nightly shows were very enjoyable, the audio system was a bit of a struggle—the speakers made it difficult to listen comfortably at times.
Areas for Improvement:
The experience for vegetarians was very poor. Options were extremely limited across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even the snack bar lacked vegetarian burgers, and we had to ask the chef to specially prepare veggie sushi at lunch.
Most distressingly, we felt racially profiled during the timeshare presentation. As Indians, we were not offered the same gifts for attending that were being offered to others.
Overall:
It was a good stay thanks to the hard-working staff mentioned above, but it would have been a much better experience if the resort provided better vegetarian variety and ensured all guests are treated with equal respect regardless of their backgrou

We stayed at the Royal Solaris in Cabo as a family of four with young kids and overall had a really enjoyable experience.

The biggest highlight was the staff — consistently friendly, welcoming, and polite throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Rena and Cesar at the kids club, who were absolutely fantastic. They created such a fun and engaging environment that our kids were begging to go back every single day, which made a big difference for us as parents.

Food was another strong point. The buffet offered a good variety with reliable quality, and there was always something for everyone to enjoy. The snack bar and pizza area were also great options for quick, casual meals in between activities.

There were a few downsides. Our room door wasn’t very soundproof, so noise from the corridor carried through quite easily. Being on the first floor meant a lot of foot traffic at all hours, which could be disruptive, especially at night. We also used the on-site restaurants three times — while the food and service were good, the experience felt a bit rushed each time.

Lastly, securing good sun loungers was logistically frustrating. Although the hotel says not to reserve before 8am, it wasn’t strongly enforced, so most prime spots were taken unless you were up around 6:30am.

Overall, it’s a great family-friendly resort with excellent staff and solid food, but a few areas could definitely be improved.

we are just heading home after spending five nights at the Royal Solaris.
Overall, the stay was fine… we had a fourth floor room with a hot tub on the deck, and that was great.
We like that there was an adult pool, which was far enough away from the big pool that it felt private. We would go before breakfast and put towels on chairs, along with some personal items. Other people complained of towels being stolen, but ours were fine until the very last day. The problem is that it’s nearly impossible to get towels again once you have lost yours. They need to figure out a better system for getting towels, perhaps?
Getting reservations for dinner was a little tricky… Went to the concierge several times, and often her system wasn’t able to reserve spots for us. I finally got it figured out on the app, but that definitely adds stress to the dinner situation.
The outside bars didn’t open until 10 AM, so if you’re out by the pool at 8 AM, it was difficult to get any kind of beverage unless you went through the buffet. Had a great little coffee shop, but it was very small and really long lines every day. The Pizza spot was our favorite, but that was also open a very limited amount of time. Seems like this is something that could stay open late into the evening. There weren’t many options for getting any kind of snack after 6:00 PM if you didn’t want to do the buffet or a regular dinner spot.
Service at all three of the restaurants was great, and hotel staff was great.

Pool on both areas were great, plenty room. Jose Luis at the pizza oven serves the best freshly made pizza, it outshines the buffet. Servers at the bar are awesome, Raul made sure my cup was never empty.

However.. specialty food like the evening bbq left half of the people waiting in line in the scorching heat without a meal. Fortunately i got a plate but felt bad for everyone else. Some nights at the buffet, the food “ran out,” the head server said unfortunately thats all they were serving.

My family and I had a great time at Royal Solaris. We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the amenities and staff was great.
I do feel that the chairs by the pool are not enough and if you don’t grab one super early you are stuck holding your stuff. We saw a lot of people reserving them early in the morning and then when I tried to leave my stuff in one someone removed my kids life vest and left them on the ground. Not sure who removed my stuff but I felt I was unfair as I had seen so many people reserve the chairs the days prior.

We booked an all-inclusive through expedia. Flight was cancelled the morning we were to leave. We’re left hanging with no room and neither expedia or the hotel offered us a room. Had to pay out of pocket. We spent over & above with spa packages & meals throughout the week. Hotel couldnt even give any discount & soaked us to stay one more night for next flight out. Very disappointed. Food was mediocre at best as well. Would never stay again.

Family friendly resort, with a nice waterpark for younger kids. Staff is very friendly. Beach area is clean and we were able to find loungers most days. This was our 3rd time here and we noticed a few differences. Resort now uses an app but the activities listed each day don't match what is actually offered and we had trouble finding these. We felt there were less activities and interaction with the entertainment crew, although the evening shows are still very well performed. And if you don't \"reserve\" a chair by the pool by 7am, it's very hard to find one. We enjoyed the restaurants but found the kids menu to be very limited with only the same 3 options each evening.

I had a great stay at Royal Solaris but, there were a couple of hiccups. Some of the people who stay here were pretty rude, they would leave a mess & start altercations.

On our last night, we chose to upgrade to a better room to enjoy the rest of the stay but, we had to wait over an hour to switch room because the staff member who was supposed to help with our luggage, never arrived. I had called to ask again and they stated he was on his way. Again, he never arrived. My boyfriend ended up going downstairs to grab the room keys and noticed the staff member who was sent to our room, was at the lobby accommodating new comers because he wanted a TIP. The staff member ended up getting upset because we didn't want his help anymore. We had let the front end know that we had a dinner reservation and wanted to go to the new room asap. At the end, we ended up moving ourselves to the new room since we were about to be late for our reservation. We still had to pay full price for the room even though they wasted our time and couldn't properly enjoy it.

Other than that, the rest of the staff was great! They were very friendly and had great information about what's in the area. The buffet was delicious, the pizza place was amazing, & even the snack bar was great. The open bar was of course, my fav, and they did a great job.

This property is an older one that needs some updating. Stayed for 10 days but found that it was very noisy due to the hall walls echoed and could hear major door slamming and loud conversation all the time. Walls between your bedrooms are very thin and you could hear everything. It’s very hard to get a some sleep in this type of condition. Tried to move or upgrade, but they wouldn’t help me, and it was just the two of us. This resort is very family friendly with many children and babies. So expect the noise and no peace if it’s only two of you. Unless you have children then it’s all good. The food was very fair and the drinks were very weak. Weather in March was fabulous

We stayed for one week, and honestly, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone considering it. I read the reviews before arriving and thought they might be exaggerated, but unfortunately they were not.

The staff service was poor, there was mold in the bathroom, and we were even given the wrong room at first. The food was so bad that I actually got sick and couldn’t eat for two days. Making restaurant reservations on your own is almost impossible because the front desk is not helpful at all.

Guests wake up as early as 4 a.m. to place towels and personal belongings on the pool chairs to reserve them, so good luck finding one later in the day. There is also only one pool bar with a single bartender.

We ended up eating out for almost every meal. For us, this was a one-time experience—never again.

We flew in one day late, asked the staff at check in about a refund for the 1 day we didn't stay there and they told us that Expedia will have to take care of it and that they aren't charging for the 1st. Fast forward to contacting Expedia, they informed us that the resort isn't willing to refund the 1 night. On top of this the rooms weren't very clean, toilet was leaking water, shower was leaking. The food was decent at best, service was horrible on the first 3 days, last 2 days for some reason improved a bit. Definitely wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. We ended up dining out of the resort the last 2 days.

My family and I recently stayed at your resort and overall had a positive experience. However, I would like to offer feedback regarding the restaurant reservation process. We noticed that while reservation slots were consistently listed as full, there were frequently many empty tables throughout the restaurants. Improving this system would greatly enhance the guest experience.

I also want to highlight a staff member who made our trip especially memorable. Enriqueta, who works at the deli and coffee shop, provided exceptional service. We looked forward to seeing her every day for our lattes and donuts.

Took this vacation with my mom and sister. We had a fabulous time. The Royal Solaris staff was so delightful, from the minute we walked in to the lobby. They were attentive to any needs at the pool, in the restaurants, our rooms etc. The food was good and offered a good variety. I woke up every morning to watch the sunrise and we had regular visits from the whales. It was a wonderful vacation!

Food wasn’t good, bland and just not quality and the drinks were cheap alcohol and flat sodas.

Stayed 13th 14th and 15th. Got there at 5 pm and they didn't have our reservation. Told us ot would take 2 - 6 hours to get the conformation. Got checked in at 7 pm . Pool was closed . Drinks are watered down. Felt like to get the full experience we would have to book directly with the hotel. ...next day cleaning staff. Cleaned the room but did not leave clean towels for us. And never replased the bottles of water. Message was great pool was awesome and the beach was beautiful with big waves not swimmable. Food was bland except the taco restaurant.

The staff in all areas were amazing. House keeping, front desk staff, manager, bartenders, buffet servers were all fantastic.

Pool and swim up bar were great and very entertaining in the pool with games etc.

Needed a bar area maybe with pool tables or ping pong for night entertainment. They had a bar in the main lobby

Would have initially rated our stay much higher, but as the days went on we became more and more disappointed. Biggest let down was the food. The buffet served the same thing every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner with very little variety between. One of the restaurants was closed and despite being guaranteed reservations depending on the length of your stay we were only able to get one. Food quality was about what you’d expect… overly salty and fatty and sometimes raw. Bar service was again what you’d expect, drinks mixed inconsistently and not fully blended, but with quick service. Our room was neither good nor bad but we did discover black mold at the end so not impressed there. Staff were all friendly and ground were clean and beautiful. If you can get a deal it’s not bad but if you are expecting a 4 star you’ll be disappointed

Fantastic stay! Staff so friendly and helpful! Staff take time to get to know you and are very attentive. We paid extra for the oceanfront room and so glad we did. Didn't hear as much noise or banging of doors from corridors. Amenities and comfort great. Will be returning again!

Clean facilities and great staff. Seriously… the staff was ridiculously incredible. The food left wanting. We ended up going into San Jose for dinner most nights.

We won’t be back but it was a great deal for a shot notice trip.

Food option was not good , served the same thing everyday. Impossible to get a spot by the pool because everyone puts their towel down the day before even when they are not at the pool. We did the all inclusive but things were still limited . If you’re not a member you don’t get all the perks . I’ve stayed at others all inclusive and this by far has been the worst. Not enough entertainment and they have roaches in the rooms and around the hotel. For the extra money we had to spend to get better quality food on the resort I would recommend booking and spending a little more going elsewhere. Trust me and the rest of the reviews .
