Nice hotel in the center of Athens.

Nice apartment hotel. I've got a large \"flat\" with kitchen. Very clean. Looked a bit empty for its size. Nice working safe was available.

Property was dated, but clean, spacious and affordable. It’s hard to travel with a family in Europe without breaking the bank.
Delice offered us the space we needed at an affordable price. Will definitely check there first the next time we are in Athens.

Good choice in Athens

We stayed for only 12 hours, before going to the airport. Delice is reasonably priced, convenient to the metro for the airport, city center, and elsewhere, and is of good quality., There is a reasonably priced Souvlaki restaurant next door. It is about a 30 min walk to the city center, or two metro stops.

The place had a fantastic location, super clean, very organized and well priced. I’m so thankful I upgraded to a little bit larger room with a wonderful view of the street.
OK, the free coffee in the morning was not the most delicious however one morning was particularly good. Hence, one never do know and they did have Nescafé which is always perfect It was the find of the century. I got to relax, take it easy, and unwind a bit after hopping around for five weeks. A QUALITY problem!!!

Close to metro stn in Athens, decent room

Close to metro station in Athens, only a couple stations from the main sites. The staff was pretty friendly, especially one woman. The room was plain but clean. No problems with the room. Coffee machine, fridge, balcony in room. The breakfast was simple but good.

My one complaint is that I had a guest in my room for a couple hours and I was charged a fee of 10 euro. If you stay in this hotel, do not let guests in your room for more than a few minutes, or you will be charged.

Woman working the desk was great. everyone else wasn't very helpful. Wifi doesn't work at all in the rooms so everyone had to hang out in the lobby to use the wifi. Bedding and furniture looked like it was from the 1950s. Breakfast was not impressive at all. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Great location for exploring the City

Fabulous safe location, 5 minutes walk to the Metro with easy access to Plaka, the Acropolis etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Extra dining area and separate kitchen is ideal for anyone who might be eating in the apartment. The fridge/freezer was a great benefit especially in the heat.
Plenty of restaurants/bars in the immediate area with a small kiosk outside the hotel also.

Room for improvement:
Breakfast (larger breakfast area and more food selection).
Internet was OK. Hit and Miss at times, gone completely on occasions.
Lift was out on service on a few days which makes it difficult when you're on the 4th floor and/or have mobility issues.

we booked a two bed room apartment which is really big. hotel is several minutes' walk away from metro station. Athens metro system is clean and fast. A five day pass for nine euros can be used on any public transportation to reach anywhere except to&from airport. Hotel staff is very friendly. free breakfast starts at 7:30am. Only downside is that the hotel is on a busy street, so a little noise from the road. overall, it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed as a family of six staying for a week and found the hotel to be excellent value for money rooms where a good size althou bathroom's where small we had two in our apartment which worked out well for us wifi singal was great the kids where able to download movies to keep them enterained in the evening breakfast was basic but with a supermarket 5 minutes from hotel it was not a problem as the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Staff where very helpful and apartment was spotless so over all would defintely recommend hotel

Nice hotel close to Acropolis

The hotel is within walking distance to the Acropolis, the site of the first modern Olympics, a large shopping area, and very easy access to public transit (2 min walk to the main LRT and a bus line). The hotel is apartment style with full fridge and stove so you can cook your own meals. Grocery stores re about 12 min walk away.

The rooms are very clean and maintained but the kitchen is small and gets hot when cooking (no AC in there). The staff are great and helpful. We had the 2 bedroom suite which had 2 bathrooms - a bonus for a family of 5. The only negative is the lift/elevator which can only fit 1 person with luggage (2 if you really tried and don't mind the tightness) but we did not mind the walk up as we had backpacks so it was not an issue for us.

Nice hotel

This is a nice hotel that offers apartments for groups. It was easy to get there and really close to the Hilton. Places to eat very near and at walking distance. Good WiFi, small elevator (but at least has one) and breakfast. The breakfast is simple but at least is included. My only problem was one of the bathroom of the apartment, the curtain of the shower was (in my opinion) short and the whole bathroom got wet.

Needed to stay close to this area, went with the lowest price in the area. Big mistake; there was no place to set the shower head so you had to hold it the whole time. Refrigerator was so loud I just unplugged it. The hardwood floor seemed dirty all the time. They don't even have a bottle of water in the room.

Very good hotel located centrally in Athens. Easy to walk to main attractions.
Staff weren't very welcoming with the exception of Theodore.
Room was nice but very noisy on the 5th floor throughout the night.

A series of unfortunate events

Overall, it was fine. The deal through this site made it worth it. We were lucky to get an early check in and were surprised by the size of the room. A few things I found a little annoying. First, to access the internet they give you a user name and password that you have to enter almost every time you use your device. The login isn't a website, but a window that pops up. If it doesn't pop up, then you can't log in. Secondly, for a hotel of this size and quality, the internet access was very poor. I was here partially on business and found it very difficult to get work done as the internet kept dropping out and then I'd have difficulties logging back in. Thirdly, we were asked if we wanted our room cleaned but it always happened at inopportune times. While not a major issue since we were only there for a few days, it was frustrating when they come to clean your room at 5pm when you are about to get into the shower. They came earlier the following day, but I declined the service because I was working in the room. Finally, again no fault of the hotel, the elevator broke right before I checked out resulting in carrying my luggage down from the 4th floor. While most of these are not major cons, they seemed to all add up leaving me feeling a little negative about my stay. On the positive, the location is great, close to a metro and bus stops. It is near several good restaurants. The deal through Hotels.com was amazing. I would consider trying Delice in the future.

AC was not working properly specially with the temperature soaring to 100 + F. Even after bringing the issue with the staff nothing was done. Ants all over the bathroom and living room. Same breakfast every day and no room to move around in the breakfast area.

Easy to get to by subway and bus

We needed a stay for one night since we were leaving the next day. The hotel is across the street from Athens Hilton and is easy to get to by Subway (M3 blue line 14 stops from airport). We took the bus at 4:00AM (X95, stop is in front of Hilton) to the airport since subway was closed. The bed was nice being an actual queen and the shower was the best shower we had while in Greece or Turkey. There is a newsstand where you can buy water, soda, snacks, etc at the front door with a restaurant next door. Theodor, who works there and was super helpful, gave us a map and how to get where we wanted to go. Literally was able to do it all in a day by walking to and from the hotel.

be careful. they say all apartments provide all equipment and utensils for lunch and breakfast preperation, but they fool you. I paid approximately 350 usd for four days apartment stay, planning to cook as we are pure vegetarians.they told me on arrival that I don't have cooking facility in my apartment and if I want that I would have to pay extra 115/- euros. as I had no choice, I was ripped off extra 115/- euros by hotel.I do not know whether HOTELS.COM or APARTMENT OWNERS can answer to that.(that is why I am rating overall and service 2 stars)

Basic facilities but clean, accessible and simply brilliant staff. I arrived after midnight- flight was delayed and yet staff were warm and welcoming. They even have a fresh orange juice maker for breakfast! Vasilius went out of the way to help- giving directions, making phone calls, following up on my misplaced baggage. Very sledom I come across such consistently helpful team of people- usually you get one or two but at Delicia everyone was simply stunning

Reasonably priced hotel near metro

Hotel was decent. Great for a night or two. Great location 5 minute walk to metro where you are on direct line to and from the airport. Easy to get to the ferry as well. The rate was great compared to other hotels close to the acropolis. Was easy to get there by metro with a couple stops. We were a family of 6 so we had a little apartment with all the amenities you needed...kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room with a sliding door to close it off. Also had wifi and breakfast included...freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, cereal, yummy Greek yogurt, bread and good coffee amongst other items. Check in was 2 p.m. but they had a storage locker which was convenient so we could visit while we waited for our room. There is a good restaurant for breakfast (Named Cross I believe). Omlett'es were huge. Pricey but good.

My family hotel of choice for Athens

I brought my wife and three young children to Athens and we stayed here twice while we visited other parts of the country. It was a great apartment for our family. The kids were very comdortAble there. There is a grocery store a block away, restaurants next door and also a block away. The metro is a five minute walk away and there is even a bus to the airport a five minute walk away. On one occasion we walked with our kids at 5am to catch the airport bus. I felt perfectly safe the entire time. The front desk staff was very professional and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Athens.

Awesome place for Family in Athens

Awesome place to stay in Athens. It is very close to the Evangelsmos metro station which is the next stop from syntgma and two stops away from Acropoli. A very safe community due to proximity to Police station. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
I think it is a perfect place for a family. I stayed in the 4 person family rooms well as 6 person family suite. Both are awesome.For people booking from US, I would add one helpful tip. When the hotel staff says they have two sofa beds then they actually mean they have two day beds which can sleep only one person each. Only the big two bedroom suite has a pull out sofa bed like in US hotels like residence inn or homewood suites.

The location is great even if you are not a family. It has some good restaurants on the ground floor of the adjacent building. the Cross restaurants serves awesome food at a very reasonable price. There is a fast food restaurant pitapav ( niranav in greek) , it serves great pita sandwiches. Some great bars , fast food and a mediteranean place within 75 meter radius.

Great hotel for your Athens stay....

We stayed 4 nights in 2 bed apartment and were delighted with facilities and service.
We have 3 small children under 5 and therefore we were looking for something central with easy access to all attractions.
Hotel is located perfectly not in the centre but not far from it....around 30 minutes slow walk with our kids.
Apartment we had was very big and had all we needed and more....
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast plain but good enough to keep you going if you not too picky ;)
The only negative thing I can say is that lift is very small and my buggy (standard size) had problem to fit in. But still that's something easy to overcame.
If one day we decide to visit Athens again we will know where to stay...;)

The Hotel is good value for money. I can definitely admit that it is not 4 star hotel as they claim on the web site. However for 53 euro it was considerably good. Clean, well equipped room was a little bit small. Modest breakfast. The location is good, close to subway and to city center. I think it is good choice if your have limited budget.

The apartments are a little dated but make up for lack of sparkle in service, comfort and location. There is very easy access to the metro to get all around Athens and a number of restaurants are within 1 block providing a variety of food including a local 'quick service' spot. Their salads were fresh and cheap. The staff at the apartments especially the desk manager were always very helpful.

General ok

A decent place to stay if you are not overly fussy. Not too difficult to find either.

However the receptionist had done difficulty speaking English and hence weren't able to help very much in directions. You have to keep your expectations moderate when staying here.

Pleasant hotel out of main tourist area

Friendly and very helpful throughout - we were greeted by name! Good, firm bed. Individual air-conditioning kept us comfortable without wasting energy when we were not there. Thick, double curtains kept the room dark and cool. Reasonable-sized fridge and a full-sized kettle. Bathroom a little cramped and the shower head was not held in the correct position by its fastener. The lift woke us every morning (about 5am) since our room was right beside the lift-shaft. No view, but no traffic noise!

Not what we expected!

The hotel Delice is definitely not a 4-star hotel as indicated on the site. While the rooms were large and in our case a 2 bedroom apt was very spacious -- our expectations had been to the level of the three other 4-star hotels we'd stay at during our travels so it was a bit of a shock to walk into the Delice. It reminded me more of a hostel than hotel on feel and quality.

Close to attractions

Large, clean, quiet rooms, 5 minutes walk from train station, a couple of stops to the Acropolis, 1 to Syntagma square. Will stay again next time we are in Greece.

Hotel entered the wrong booking date

Arrived at Delice Hotel after a long day's travel, only to find that the Hotel had entered our booking for the following day. As we are a family of five, we had booked a two bedroom apartment. The booking had been confirmed by Expedia and we were advised that there was no need to seek confirmation. Due to the error, no family rooms were available upon our arrival. A one bedroom room was found, however our three children had to sleep in the lounge room. We were given the option of a small refund or another hotel. We opted for the former due to the time of the night and the long day's travel. The refund has not been received.

Convenient location and helpful staff

We stayed at the Delice in early June with our one-year old baby. I had originally selected this hotel as I (thought) I had booked an apartment as we had our one-year old with us so we wanted a bit of space and a kitchenette. However, I had made a mistake and only booked a standard room! This somewhat clouded our stay as we had a tiny room and no kitchen facilities for 4 nights with our toddler (there was however a fridge and kettle). Also the room balcony just looked onto a courtyard and the hotel was renovating - scaffolding up, workmen working etc. That being said the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast each morning was simple but provided a good start to the day. For its location (easy walking distance to the metro and museums and even Parliament square) it is good value for money. I wouldn't stay here again with a family necessary, but would definitely recommend it for a couple without kids who want a good, basic hotel in a good location.

The surprises were all good!

Our request was for accommodations for 6 people. The map told us the location was wonderful, just a short ride by taxi to the Acropolis and many other sites including the Olympic Stadium. We were given three large bedrooms, two full baths and kitchen with dining area in the entrance of the suite. Perfect--the grandparents had a room, the parents had a room and the young adult granddaughters had a room. We had not realized that there was a free breakfast. Usually these are quite prosaic. There was fresh orange juice with a machine to squeeze it while you watched. Several other fruits, yogurt with a huge selection of toppings, waffles, toast, cereal, pastries ,etc.
The only downside was there was lots on renovation going on. Not on our floor and maybe not inside at all. It was on the outside of the building. But we saw the evidence on it--scaffolding and a workman redoing the patio leading to the front doors. There was no noise--maybe because we were never there during the day.
