I found the the property to be a perfect location for my short time in our friend allowed me to walk everywhere to restaurants and bars and sightseeing with local restaurants around the corner from the building and a local train station and bus transport to and from the airport

Excellent location near Syntagma metro. Walling distance to most attractions. Bathroom clean, bed comfortable. Iron and washer, drying rack availabe. Clerks in the office very polite and helpful. However, there was no table or desk in the room. Furniture cheap or old. Finish of the workmaship (tiles, paint, floor poor) Kitchen in common area for 7 rooms, so it may be busy. Very noisy all night, windows did not block the noise. Needed ear plugs to sleep well.

We had an email 24 hours before our stay stating we had to pay a city resiliency tax before we would be given our code to access our room. The problem we had is that the link they gave us was broken and wouldn’t accept payment. We tried multiple devices, web browsers and payment cards but it wouldn’t go through. This meant that when we got there we had to walk to their other site to pay and get the details and walk back as this particular location doesn’t have a reception desk. We also had a problem with the plug in the sink that couldn’t be lifted out so water took a very long time to drain. Plus the toilet leaked and we often found we got wet socks and shorts while sitting on it as the pressure/weight must have released a crack or something. We also heard a lot of noise at night. I know it’s in a busy city but it almost sounded like the windows were open and didn't isolate sound much. The location was great and the bed was fine. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep it’s fine for the price.

It was clean and cozy room. It was a shared cooking are. Really like the washing machine in the common area. Could use more of the drying rack. Walkable 10 minutes to the acropolis. There is a good coffee shop across the street. There are good restaurant across the street. I would recommend the greco project.

Very poor lightning during the night when we arrived. Felt unsafe. And they made me walk 13 minutes to the reception area for check in instructions and pay 1.50 euros tax. On the good side, had a locker company right below which is convenient to walk around after check out.

Easy nice enough accommodation with simple self check in instructions sent to you directly. Room off a shared lounge/kitchen area with good amenities and washing machine. Our ensuite door handle was broken and would seperate from the door - needs some maintenance in areas.

The place looks not well maintained. I honestly don’t know why this place doesn’t show photos that actually depict the rooms, they’re not the worst but they’re so different from the photos. I do feel this a step above a hostel. You cannot leave luggage here (at least that’s what I assume? Since they didn’t get back to me about leaving luggage) but luckily there is a locker room right next door that you can pay for.

Would absolutely not recommend. Dirty (everything from door handles to floor was\"sticky\"), noisy from street AND from their internal common living), they messed up on my check in process, horrible internet, no safe - told them about it, they did nothing.

First we were under the impression it was a 'Hotel'. It is not. Its 4 rooms off a kitchen and lounge area on the 4th floor of a building.
On arrival we were told we had to walk 8 minutes to another building to get ok to enter room and pay tax. Not knowing Athens it took us 20 minutes. And when we booked we were not told it was not a hotel or that we could not check in at the address. After a longish flight and bus ride and walk we were not impressed. We found a real hotel and did not stay so want a refund on bases of false advertising

Stayed for two nights. Very cute apartment centrally located to everything. There is no on-site parking but a 24-hour parking garage right around the corner. One or two minute walk. Had a bit of an issue with the water and the futon bed was squeaking all night. We were able to manage for two nights. The communication was amazing. Never mentioned the issues above to anyone. Again, we were able to manage for two nights.

The location is great. The hotel is located right in the middle of all the important tourist attractions acropolis, syntagma square, and many food choices. One critique would be that the beds are quite uncomfortable. Additionally the walls are paper thin. Great other amenities like laundry and the cleaning people are awesome.

We have stayed two days in the hotel. In the first day morning at 9:25a.m., a female staff knocked our door loudly and said something in non-English language while we were sleeping. We were suddenly woke up by the noise and told her we didn’t need the cleaning service, then she went away.
In the second day morning at 9:22a.m., a staff suddenly unlocked and opened our door directly without any asking, while we were sleeping. After a second, she found that we were still sleeping, then she closed the door quickly and loudly. We were suddenly woke up again by the annoying disturbance. At the 10:50 a.m., the female staff came again, knocked our door and said”time”, we told her we will checkout shortly.

The bathroom shower has a temperature control problem which causes either sudden burning hot water or cold. The shower unit itself is too small for an adult to shower. The bathroom overall is unacceptable. The living space and bedroom designed and furnished well but the windows in the bedroom are not suitable for a residence/hotel because they don't block any noise from outside, which is also unacceptable as it's too disruptive to sleep.

The communication and the check-in were flawless, good value for the money paid, i found it extremely clean and amazing pillows not old like some hotels... The bed is not extremely comfortable, so I'd give it a 6/10. People reported that it was noisy and it's normal because its downtown, if you're sensitive to the noise atay away from this arwa. Other than that, they need to put darker curtains because they're light and let all the sun in. I stil recommend it if you need fo stay a couple of night, make sure you have a sleeping mask because of the light.

Only good thing is the location, everything else is under par. room is small and noisy, I can hear the garbage truck or people talking from my 4th floor room, as if I was on the 1st floor with window wide open. Wife had to use ear plug when sleeping, terrible !! There is also a ridiculous 20 Euro daily cleaning fee per room, ridiculous too. highly NOT recommended.

Great Location, 5mins walk away from Syntagma Square. Lots of Asian (Japanese especially) food around. It has a common area for Kitchen/Laundry and they provide washing powder for laundry if you'd like to do your laundry.

had to take a cab and pay for that. When we got to the hotel the front was very dirty there was graffiti all over the place,we stayed in the hotel like 4 nights, they were charging us 20 Euros a day for cleaning and 2 nights we weren't there, two nights the beds weren't made and one night the Air conditioner leaked all over the bed and my wife had to sleep on the floor. We have pictures to prove it then when we left the car service didn't show up I had to pay another 45 Euros. Dogs were doing their thing on the sidewalk etc. I can go on and on not recommended for anyone you are better visiting other parts of America.

My only complaints would be the high cost of maid service, which i have never seen a hotel charge a separate amount for this before. This is usually included in the room rate. Nice shared living space with a lot of amenities like a washer/dryer combo, coffee maker, fridge, microwave. Bedroom was nice and clean, as well as the private bathroom. Building is very secure.

The deluxe apargument is well worth the price. Wonderfully large place, with two double bedrooms. Modern bathroom, good kitchen and laundry service. Yet the best part is the terrace, which is HUGE and covered by sun all day. Also, the location is amazing- right in the middle of everything in Athens!

It was a good hotel apartment to stay in for one night. Unfortunately the hot water wasn't working which would have been a major issue had I been staying for longer. The location was very good but as it was by a very loud and busy shopping street, the noise filtered into the room.

The only good thing I can say about this place is that the two young ladies at the “desk “ tried to be helpful and the rooms were fairly clean. The hotel is located in seedy area with trash and graffiti everywhere. The lobby was locked and unattended with unclaimed mail laying around. The 4th floor “office” was accessed via an intercom for entry. Once we finally got inside, we discovered that only one of two elevators were barely operational. While trudging up 3 flights of stairs we discovered that there was construction going on with large gaping holes and debris everywhere. We immediately canceled and found decent lodging elsewhere.

Room was small and in a shared living space. Good location but the cleanliness of the room and especially the bathroom was appalling. We tried to communicate the issue and was told that it was our imagination. Also as well there is a $70 cleaning fee on top of your total.

Creepy lighting in bathroom. 20E cleaning fee excessive. Not enough seating in common area. No seating in room, just bed. Booked as Deluxe Double. Room partition wall did not reach window pane so voices from next room were very clear. Front facing room overlooked decaying abandoned building and dumpster. No insulation made for outside noise. Makeshift clothes hanging rod, no closet or drawers, just small cubbies. Shower best feature. No tissues or wash cloths. Toilet flush against vanity, very tight quarters. Bed decent. Any more than a 1 night stay and you will be uncomfortable. Dark foreboding street in otherwise hopping area near transportation and tourist sights.

Great stay! Very clean and comfortable, so close to everything you could want to do during your stay, close to restaurants and shopping also. Only a few minutes walk around the corner to the bus from the airport (€6).
It was handy having the large common area and free laundry facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Noise from traffic etc outside wasn’t too bad being in the centre of the city I expected it to be a lot worse.

Really nice stay at Xenofontos Inn! Location is perfect and price affordable compares to hotels around. Our room and appartment were very clean and the service was great. We called back to reserve again but they could not take it since it was not online (but no more places were available online)... We recommand this hotel!

the apartment is clean and modern. however the hassle is the check in. You have to check in, on the 4th floor of a building. then your apartment is in another building about 5 minutes away. it's not right in the centre but close to it. SonI felt like I was just dragging my suitcase around. However everything else was good. The apartment is superspacious and restaurants around.

Unusual arrangement in a commercial block which made it hard to find. No obvious frontage. However it was clean and comfortable. Only problem was the room overlooked a large commercial refuse bin which was emptied and washed at night. Very noisy for a period of time in middle of the night. It was in an excellent location - 2 minutes from bus drop in Syntagma Square and in the heart of tourist area bordering The Plaka. All in all fine but aimed more at younger travellers I would say.

The hotel charged us 10 euro per person for the city tax. After following stay at other hotel, we understood that the city tax of Athens should be up to 3 euro per room, not per person. The receptionist/owner was not honest at all!

Location of apartment was awesome as near sygma square, restaurants and subway. Place needed better cleaning (hair on floor, lipstick on towels, dirty glasses etc). Place was smaller than pictures showed but worked for us. The bathroom was the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. It was like an airplane bathroom. I would recommend hotel with reservations.

HIDDEN COSTS!
This is not a Hotel- more a room with a communal Lounge/Kitchen at door It does not have a 24 hour front desk. Also the room is very noisy from outside traffic especially in the early hours of the morning. The hidden cost of 20 euros cleaning per day is not stated until you have booked and paid! There are many better places at same rates in this area. I travel to Athens every year and shall NOT book Xenfontos again

Nice place in the heart of town. It was clean and well maintained.Due to location it was quite noisy all day and night. There is an extra fee that you have to pay for cleaning and that was not visibly stated during the booking.Overall it was a pleasant stay.
