Breakfast had all you needed. Wasn’t a fan of their coffee but was other options. A couple of small shops or eats nearby and only 10 mins walk to metro system. Streets poor condition and quite dark waking back.

For the Best Western experience in US, the experience was completely opposite in Athens. Dirty rooms & smelly bathrooms. Rooms has constant potty smell, No response from front desk. We ended up getting a room freshener from them.

Would absolutely stay here again

We would absolutely stay here again. The area was safe. The hotel was clean. The staff was great. There are only two problems we had. The elevator did not go to the top floor and they did not have enough food for breakfast. The morning we left. But all in all it was a great stay.

Our check in experience was fantastic, the young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the bed was great however the room was hot, we had to open the patio door to cool it off as the AC wasn't working. We went down at 7 am for breakfast as we had to leave for the airport at 7:45 am, every table had dirty dishes on it, and no food, no juice, or coffee was available. The lady attending the breakfast area was having a bad day, not sure if her help didn't show up or what but sadly we didn't get breakfast. I would likely stay here again but it may not be my first choice.

This hotel is rated as a 4-star on expedia and that is the reason we booked it. It does not qualify to be a 4-star. It is a 2-star at best.

The bathrooms were bad. There is no full shower door. The shower holder/rod is broken. So, the shower wouldn't even

The phone in the room wasn't working. So, you literally have to go down every time you need something

The elevator can barely fit 1 person with 2 suitcases - nothing more. It doesn't even have proper doors that open

A PLUS is nicer....great breakfast !

PLUS means nicer and it is. Classic confy lobby, great breakfast buffet, 1st floor gym and confy bed with big bathroom. The only negative is the area; not much too see but for us it was a stop and go to the airport...so it work nice. Great front lobby service...so nice they started breakfast one hour early for us.Rome was like their photo. Cool.

Nice spacious rooms - best so far we used in Greece.
Location is not great, it's at the end of a secluded road.
- Lift - a single tiny lift, that fits only 2 people. with luggage you cannot have more than one person using the lift.
- Breakfast is OK, not bad.
- Front Desk executive - haven't seen a guy with such a poker-face. No smiles, quite rude. Other front desk people, especially the lady in the morning-shift was very pleasant, mature, helping.
- Cupboards in the room has a nice small round handle, but the screw inside has been left uncut and is so long that it ends up hurting you. My hand was bleeding from a deep scratch I got due to the untrimmed long screw. Bad maintenance.
- Room safe - I always check the safe if it works. I.e. if it opens and closes with my pass-code. I did the same before keeping my passports, cash and phone. To my utter surprise found the safe not opening when I returned in the night from a site seeing tour. The poker-face front desk person, was not helpful. He tried opening with keys that didn't exist. They had no emergency key for the safe. It was pretty late in the night. We had a morning flight to catch. I requested technician help. Who came in the morning (late by 45 min.). Technician had no idea on how to open the safe. He tried to enter pass codes, for about an hour. We had to insist on breaking it. Finally it was broken by the technician with a hammer and we recovered our documents and cash.
- Overall - not a good experience in this hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff; nice breakfast. The front desk person was even willing to provide us coffee/food at 3:30 am as we had to get up early for a flight. Clean and comfortable, a bit dated, but very good value for the money. Very safe, nice and quiet neighborhood. Convenient location to US Embassy. We would stay there again on a future visit to Athens.

This hotel is close to a lot of great attractions. The bad things are as follows:
-the walls are paper thin
-the internet is atrocious
-the breakfast is okay when the eggs are warm

Good hotel...1/2 hour walk to Syntagama Square

This hotel is within a few blocks of the US Embassy and the Opera house. If either of those two are important, then this hotel is a good choice. One of the two rooms rented faced south and the AC turned off when the key card was removed. The cleaning staff would open the window during the day and as a result the room was very hot upon our return. (Late October) The price was fairly high.

The lobby is nice, with an aestheticmakeover of new furniture. An attempt has been with the rooms as well, but unfortunately, the carpet in our junior suite (room 701) was white and heavily stained, and the room was not very clean, with spider webs and dust in most corners.

Disappointing!
The room was very small, and the bath/shower was so small and the ceiling so low that I could not stand comfortably to shower.
The bed was very uncomfortable, and the mattress too old.
The doors did not open or close properly.
The walls are so thin that I would wake up with the noise of people talking in the corridors or in the adjoining rooms, often the cleaning staff in the morning.
The elevator can not fit more than one person and one suitcase at a time and as I was on the 5th floor, I would often have to wait for long periods of time just for it to arrive as there is only one lift for the entire hotel, only to find a person in the lift and therefore no room to stand.

This hotel is in a quite back street but is not far from bus and metro services to the center of Athens. It has reasonably priced parking. The rooms are pleasant. The bus to/from the airport stops nearby.

dont expect to get what you see in the pictures. they posted photos of their better suites. furniture, towels, sheets were old and worn out. The room AC was centrally controlled from reception and it went warm and copd based on guest request from other rooms. we couldnt sleep at all! the wifi internet in therokm was too sllow andinterruptes. we had internet on and off. the hotel elevator was barely big enough for two people. the smallest elevator ihad eversn. washroom door did notlock atall anxwheiase,thysadi was thhote's rule.

The reception staff (male) at night and in the evening were very friendly and helpful. They greeted us well. The reception staff (female) in the afternoon was not at all friendly.

The hotel seemed near the metro station but in actuality it was not as close.

Cons:
- The hotel looks near the center of Athens (where all the attractions are) but it was not as close. However the attractions were two to three stops away from the metro.
- The room was clean but extremely depressing.
- The lift does not accommodate more than 2 people and is very slow
- the walk to the metro is either through a very congested street (For station Ambelokipi) or is daunting as you have to walk in-front of the American Embassy (for station Megaro Moussikis)
- the room key cards stop working
- Extremely bad breakfast (do not pay more for your room just to get complementary breakfast). There was no variety either.
- the hotel has a very below the par lobby and reception.

Pros:
- Super Markets and stores and eating places nearby

Below standard city center hotel

Whilst the staff of the hotel as for Greek experiemces above average helpful and friendly, the hotel is not Best Western PLUS standard.
Furnishings are in need of replacement as are some of the the pillows and matrasses.
For WiFi we needed to change room.
The place was clean, and the location secure thanks to American Embasssy and two further consulates

For one night, it was horrible. Showerhead remained in our hand. It was very hot 40 de grees Celsius and Air conditionned didn't work. We ask for repair, no body came despite of operator promise. We didn't sleep and had a wakeful night. We were 4 persons and we had just 3 towels.

A Good Break
