When I arrived at 23.30 the front desk staff member was very, very helpful assisting me to find parking in an overful carpark. Top marks.
The hotel is 10 minutes walk and 6 U bahn stops from the historic centre.
Breakfast was very crowded and not very nice food.
I don't mind children, but if you do, be aware that there are LOTS of them in this hotel, at least in high summer.

The staff member at check in was friendly. The room was as described. It was clean and a reasonable size for a family of 4 but the drink fridge did not keep the drinks cool. There was always just enough space in the Hotel parking lot. It was an easy drive into town, and had food choices nearby.

Always a decent stay.

I have stayed in this hotel many times when I am in Nuremberg. I’ve always liked this hotel. I was very disappointed that they charge me parking. That should’ve been disclosed when I booked with Hotels.com. Altogether we had seven rooms in our party and I hate when hotel nickels and dimes me. The staff works extremely hard. The waiters and bartenders were literally running to get orders out on Sunday. They should’ve had more help. It’s certainly not their fault, they were doing the best they could. Staffing is very important.

Nce hotel- wish they still provide itemized soap

Nice hotel, large rooms, polite personnel, comfortable parking outside. Main negative was the removal of all toiletries and there was no soap provided in the room - really shocked! Soap was only available in the shower (the typical squeeze soap, surprised that this was still there) but difficult to reach from outside. It is essential to wash the hands during covid and therefore i found this as a major problem. It should be feasible to provide itemized soap just like it was done in the past and still done in other novotel hotels (ie in hungary).

The rooms were pretty dirty which was a surprise because you could hear the cleaning staff at all hours of the day. The pictures online look nothing like the rooms. They have a stale smell with paint chips missing, rings around the drains, dirty cups... the list goes on. Most of the equipment is outdated and could use some servicing.

One thing that was a shock was the price of breakfast. at 18 euros a person it was not worth it at all. Since were there during a convention, the price was increased by 350%, and still had to pay for breakfast.

One thing I do have to say though, is that the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and if I were ever to return, it would be based solely on the fact that they were so inviting and showed us such great service.

Not a place I'd recommend. There are much better places to stay in the city center that are less expensive.

Lovely Hotel.

Stayed at the Novel after a long drive from Slovakia and before setting off again for the UK. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and polite everything done with a smile. The hotel is modern and clean facilities were super, only used the Sauna as a bit cold for the swimming pool but maybe next time kids will get to take a swim. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice just right to set you up for the day ahead. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone and also the cost was the same as a hostel we stayed at on the way over and that was not a patch on the Novotel. Will definitely be looking at staying again

Hotel is out of town, but easy to walk to train station. No restaurants in walking distance, but we had a car, so found some good ones to drive to. Hotel restaurant didn't appeal as limited menu and breakfast was a bit chaotic - very busy and kept running out of eggs / bacon.

Hotel is very popular with families, so we were woken by children running down corridor and in the evening whilst in the bar, there were noisy children playing in the reception area. Not the hotel's fault of course.

Shame they charge for parking as seems totally unnecessary for an out of town location.

Some work to be done.

This is a pretty basic hotel and we used it as a stopover. As such it works well and the pool is nice and not too crowded. We stayed over an extra night to see Nurnberg and thus also had a few meals in the hotel. That was not a good experience. Especially the breakfast is almost like a farce, it is so disorganised you wont believe it until you see it, and although the staff is fighting with everything they have to make it work, they are clearly understaffed and as such it seems to be a management issue more than anything else. Buffet was half empty a lot of the time and took a LONG time to be restocked.
Dinner was not great either.

Was there for business purpose and I was totally shocked with the huge money I paid and the quality I received,Very old looking hotel with dirty corridors and doors and horrible bathroom where water drainage was in the middle of the bath tup and could not drain the water out and terrible hand washing sink, very small and cheap breakfast and most importantly terrible internet speed and quality, they just made the reception area to look good but the rest including their staff was terrible, staff were so cold and unfriendly like stone, will never go there again neither recommend, this hotel worths not more than 50Euros per night including breakfast and I felt like totally cheated, One of my worst hotel experience ever in my life!

Great find as a stop gap

Stopped off for one night travelling from london to Hungary.
After an 8 hour drive from the Eurotunnel at Calais, we arrived at about 11.30pm.
The check in guy was friendly and after 2 minutes we were in our room.
2 adults and 2 kids, the room was perfect for a one night stay.
Big king bed and a sofa bed for the kids. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. We slept very well and enjoyed breakfast the following morning. A good selection of hot and cold food, nice and fresh.
Quick check out after breakfast as we continued our journey stopping in Vienna.
I am pleased that I have also book this hotel for 1 more night on our return to the UK after the Christmas holidays.

This hotel was comfortable, clean, and a pretty good deal for the price. The breakfast was way too expensive, so we didn't eat there. The kids were excited about the pool, but it was just ok - not heated, small, and awkwardly placed close to the restaurant outdoor seating. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The workout room would have been really nice, had it not been FULL of moths and bugs since the windows had been open all night. Other than that, I can't complain for the price! The hotel is far from the city center, so unless you have a car or take public transportation, this is not a good location for sightseeing there. The Novotel City Zentrum is a much better location for that.

Hotel is a short walk from the tube station (5 minutes) it is nice clean with very friendly staff. The breakfast looked fresh and tasty but we felt overpriced so didn't partake. A nice bar with friendly staff and interesting new cocktails the winter warmer ti be recommended. A pleasant stay .

Check in was good, staff spoke better English than my German, which was useful. Reception area was nice. Lift or stairs to the room. Decent size, sofa bed for the kids. Tea and coffee making facilities were a bit pants. Only 2 milk sachets and no tea bags. Everthing else was good. Oh, apart from the car park charge. €8. Check out was fine. Didn't have breakfast, but I bet it was alright. We had croissants in the room. They were nice. Bought them the day before in Slovenia, which is a lovely country and you should visit there too! Oh this Novotel gave the kids a little toy, which is a nice touch. In the morning, my son went under the bed, as any kid does, and found another toy which must have been left from before. It was one of those putty toys, with goggle eyes and arms and that so that you can make a monster. Like play doh but 18 times stickier. Long story short, his jumper got ruined as it had a shed load of blue putty stuck to it. As it was a wool based jumper, there was no chance getting it off. Will have to wash it seperately I think, or with some towels to see if it comes out. I didn't know the German word for 'putty' or 'wool based' so didn't mention it to reception staff.

A Bit Isolated but Okay

My stay was only overnight, but I found the staff to be polite, friendly and courteous. The menu seemed a little limited and due to being ill while there (nothing to do with the hotel) I just stayed in my room which was comfortable. The only negative at all, was some out of date produce in the minibar.

Otherwise a very pleasant experience and conveniently located for Messe Nuremburg.

Great hotel. Family friendly. I booked this hotel for location to the Volksfest and the outdoor pool. The pool is small but nice. There are plenty of trees to offer shade for those not wanting as much sun. Drink service is offered poolside, which I loved! Dinner and breakfast service both offer outdoor seating. Rooms are equipped with AC, but it is a bit weak. Wi-Fi was terrible even with the upgrade purchase. Still, I really enjoyed my stay. We have recommended the hotel and will stay again.

We arrived quite late but was greeted but the staff politely. The room was ample for 3 people and had a safe, shower/tub combo and usual facilities. There is a mini gym, sauna and pool, but we did not get to use it as we left early. There is a electronic games table in the lobby which our son enjoyed playing a variety of games on. Breakfast was not included in the room price. Be aware that parking is not free. There is a park nearby which seemed a nice place for walk and it's close to a few museums which is useful if you don't mind a walk. Buses not too far away either.

Novotel in Nuremburg

This was a nice hotel in Nuremburg. For business travelers it is an excellent place to stay. For the vacationer, it is a little removed from the Altestadt, but really only 15 mins away. It is close to the U-Bahn and has free parking. The downside of our stay there was that it was not close to other restaurants. The closest place to eat was about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was not included in our rate, so be prepared to shell out big Euros for breakfast.

A little far out of the way

For the price, i expected it to be closer into the city. The hotel was nice, but it was not very near anything. The staff was friendly-ish. Our room was very clean, comfortable and nice. I had a bit of a language barrier with the bartender in the bar area, and ended up with a HUGE bill for my 3 drinks. oops. Breakfast was great, but VERY spendy. Expect to pay 18 euro a person.

Working at the Toy Fair, this hotel is conveniently within walking distance.There's nothing in the area close by, when you're tired the hotel is the most convenient option for dinner. U-Bahn is very close by.
Don't expect too much excitement for dinner at the hotel, there are no daily specials and the food is mediocre.
Breakfast is 17 Euro, which I found a little steep until I saw the selection they had, it was very good.

Named Caroline, she had a terrible arrogant and humilliating attitude to every guest approaching to reception. I discussed with the Manager and first he was justifying her because \"she was new\" but while checking out he approached to me stating that he was going to check the situation personally and closely.

Fantastic Stay !

Stayed there for two nights, the hotel is situated at a convinient location, especially if you have a car. Free and ample parking, good wifi, good and reasonably priced restaurant. The room and washroom are big and clean. Though the carpet could be changed as it looks on the older side, as well as there is only one very small elevator in the hotel. A very good and comfortable hotel otherwise, definately will stay again !

Small hotel n location far from everything
If u register to alcoor card u can get free wifii n also kids under 16 get free breakfast ( for all novotel hotel)
Good that the receptioniste told us!!
Room n bathroom was not so clean n sofabed not so confortable

Good stopover

Good place for a family stopover, the room was clean with a double bed and double sofa bed but both were comfortable. In evening only a buffet was on offer so we ate elsewhere due to cost. Breakfast was very good with a wide range available.

This might not look stylish from the outside, but once you get inside it's a totally different story.
Very nice entrance and lobby where kids can play if needed and a very nice restaurant.
The rooms are spacy and very clean.
I will definitely be back again.

The blanket and the sheet were really discomfortable. The breakfast was poor. I was charged for one more parking then ordered. The location of the hotel is poor. The shower pressure was close to none
