The room was clean and well-appointed with complete amenities, however, the phone line was not working. We informed Housekeeping about this upon our return from touring, but the phone issue persisted throughout our three-day stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, and the hotel staff were truly exceptional.

The bathroom had an opaque window on the top of the shower wall. That meant, if you used the bathroom in the middle of the night and turned on the light, the light would shine through that opaque window and light up the entire hotel room. It almost always woke up the other person. It wasn't even a faint light. It was very bright.

There was a leak coming from 2 spots on the bathroom ceiling. I'm not sure how anyone could miss it when preparing the room.

There was no extra roll of toilet paper in the room. I had to go out of my way to ask somebody for another roll. It seems silly to have to go through the extra effort to have to ask for it. You also have to be aware that you ask in time before you run out.

Otherwise, the place was very nice and the staff was very courteous.

The free breakfast was a major selling point for me and it was an excellent daily buffet from 6-10 AM. Check-in showed I had booked two rooms (I had one) but it was resolved within a few minutes. Staff in every area were eager to help. When and if I return to Baguio I’ll stay here again, I have no reason to consider a change.

This is a hidden gem! Extended my stay a full week because of the staffing hospitality and professionalism.

The included breakfast buffet in the morning is top notch (…with Taho…) and located in the heart of Baguio City.

Definitely a must stay place for folks who wants to experience Baguio City at its best.

prperty is brand new, other building works are going on around it.
Windows do not seem to be double glazed and the noise from the road is continuous 24 hours a day, this combined with the builders on the construction site starting work at 6am does not lead to a good nights sleep.

It is in a good location. You can walk to town proper and botanical garden. There are nice restaurants and bars that are close by.
There was a big group that ck in for 3 days (3 buses) oh my! It was so noisy till 2am that I have to complain but good enough the security knocked on each door.
Limited choice of food for breakfast.
Staffs were very polite, helpful and friendly (5 star for that)

New hotel in Bqguio, a must to check out! Affordable, spacious, with nice light vibes; good quality service, friendly smiling staff . Baguio is not as cold as it was before. Unlike the old classic hotel properties in the city, that dont have AC in the rooms, this hotel has AC installed in the rooms , that made our stay comfortable and relaxing.
The only thing downside maybe is the exterior design- make it more inviting… make the walkway better looking… additional nature touch to the front entrance will make it more”grande” looking as the name claims!

I enjoyed my week at Sotogrande, staff was super helpful and very outgoing. The breakfast included in my stay was top notch, all of the food was delicious, kudos to the kitchen staff! The bartenders were very nice, and helpful with suggestions. My room was spacious and clean, I had a little bit of water leaking in the bathroom, but I called down to the front desk and someone was up in 2 minutes to look at it, and then fixed is super quick. The walls of the Sotogrande are a bit thin, there were some children staying on my floor and I could hear the crying in my room, but nothing my earplugs couldn't fix. All in all I would definitely stay here my next visit to Baguio.

The place was well kept and had nice decorations. Lobby staff was pleasant and professional. Dinner staff was also good with great food selection. The breakfast staff were not as efficient as the evening. They were slow in there service- can’t keep up with dirty dishes, not giving water to customers, having customers wait until they cleared the table, the coffee urn was slow running so people were getting impatient, etc. Our room had black spots around the sink and tub. The WiFi was very reliable! The room host came late the first day but she was efficient. Parking was great but drop off area was quite congestion. Check out process was easy.

Friendly, courteous and professional staff. Hotel is nice however we had heating issues with our shower and close to non-existent Wifi or phone signal in our room (apparently their routers don’t work well with Apple products?). Breakfast buffet had many offerings however as delicious as they looked unfortunately it didn’t deliver in taste. Still a pleasant stay at Soto Grande though as their customer service made up for it.

The property employs outstanding staff. Moreover, the hotel is in close proximity to a number of tourist sites. However, several concerns arose, unaddressed by property management, during my visit. 1. The only entertainment available in guest rooms is YouTube (unless you have a pre-existing, paid streaming account such as Netflix that you have log-in privileges to). 2. Guest are permitted just one room key per room. You must have a room key to access the 2nd or higher floors. 3. WiFi service is furnished to guest rooms, however, it works unreliably and is quite slow. 4. The quality of food served at breakfast is similar to that provided in a budget motel in the United States. If you stay in the hotel multiple days, you can expect to experience the same or similar buffet menu daily. 5. The hotel is noisy during the day because there is construction occurring onsite. I wouldn’t stay at this property again. I had the impression that the hotel’s owner/management are frugal to the point of being cheap.

Not worth the money and bad service

I was very disappointed. I travel all of the time for work -- multiple times a month -- and this is the worst experience I have had in a long time. First, they misrepresent the rooms. The Queen deluxe with a view and a separate bedroom does not have a separate bedroom. When I finally won that battle and got a room with a separate bedroom, the internet did not work and the water was just a drip in the shower. Next, they didn't clean my room after the first night. When I asked why, the guy at the desk told me that I needed to request it. The manager subsequently told me that was not true. The second day they changed my room and promised internet and water. There was no internet and the water was a bit better but freezing cold. Don't stay here.

Brand new Hotel but the finishing touch in the bathroom was lacking like the thin moulding was missing by the door. The bidet sprayer holder was loose. No cable live tv.
These are just minor that needs improvement.

So much potential

The hotel is new and i really feel it has alot of potential. I actually like the rooms, the location, amenities. But BUT it can really improve in these areas
1. There were people cutting tiles next to our window so that woke us up
2. The housekeepers wouldnt place the toilet paper and towels in the right place
3. The wifi does not reach the bed area of the suite
4. They placed us in a suite directly behind the elevator so whenever the elevator goes up and down it would make a noise . DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 401 and 501 these are the rooms back to back with the elevator
If they cab address these issues i would really give it a 5/5

It was amazing, love everything about this Sotogrande Baguio. The place is clean, the staff are very approachable and responsive, the food is excellent. We will definitely come back with more family and friends. Strongly recommend this hotel.

However, I would suggest to put some patio furnitures by the pool area instead of just a bench, this will make the users more comfortable and accommodating.

Sotogrande is an excellent place to stay. The breakfast that was included was the best I’ve had during this trip (we stayed at 2 other hotels). The staff is friendly and helpful. They even had someone on standby to check the room as soon as you check out so if you happen to forget something, you’re still in the area.

I had a clean, quiet room with a view. The air conditioning works great and is quiet. The beds are comfortable and the WiFi is decent. I had an issue with the door sticking and always causes an alarm when it was stock open. One call and a repormang came within 15 minutes a fixed the problem. Good response time.
The hotel area is away from the crowned streets and traffic. Taxes are easy to get. Breakfast is consistently good and abundant and with daily variation of the buffet. Dinner prepared at the hotel is decent and good and priced reasonable . will probably go back here when in Baguio.
