We had an enjoyable stay at Edgewater Palms in Paihia.
The location is fantastic, and the apartment, while compact, had everything we needed. We stayed in Apartment 25, which offered a pleasant partial sea view.
A minor drawback was that the lifts were out of service during our visit, which made getting to our Level 2 apartment a bit inconvenient. However, the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even assisting us with our luggage, which made a big difference.
The infinity pool is a standout feature. Although it isn’t heated, it’s still very nice once you’re in and a great place to unwind.
Overall, a comfortable stay with friendly service in a great location, despite a few small inconveniences

The property is within close reach of everything Paihia has to offer, we walked everywhere. Apartment was clean and tidy. Parking and check was super easy. The beach is directly across the road and perfect for swimming in addition to a great infinity pool. Will definitely be staying here again.

Admittedly we had the worst room on the property down the back with views into the back of a liquor store and neighbouring derelict property but for the cost I’d expect the room to be serviced daily, milk to be provided, pullouts beds to be higher standard, clocks to work, bathrooms products to be supplied and more attention to detail. Was very clean and staff were great though but seemed other options were way better value.

We stayed for 1 night only in early October. The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and tidy, as was the lounge area. There was ample parking in the basement area. The walk to the township of Paihia was along the sea-shore and was very pleasant, and close to the ferry terminal where we caught the ferry to Russell.

This was the cleanest and best appointment holiday apartment I’ve ever stayed at - the whole place was spotless - both inside the apartment and also in common areas like the pool.
The apartment has everything we needed for cooking and eating, as well as plenty of bedding and towels.

We rented a car and drove from Auckland to Paihia, Bay of Islands. It is only 3.5 hrs drive straight up, but we had 2 stops along the way, Sheep World and Whangārei. Done cruise to Hole in the Rock, Parasail and Thunder Trike Tour! Lots of fun, shopping and good food.

The apartment is in a great area--across from a beautiful beach and walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the dock to catch boat tours. The apartment was clean and spacious. The pool is nice but not heated. Our biggest complaint was the noise both nights we were there until 2am. This was suprising as this mostly seemd like a place for older folks and families (not a party spot). We also received an accessible room, which is great that they have this option, but we are tall and this meant the counters in the kitchen were quite short (we were not told about this ahead of time). It was fine for our stay since we did not do much cooking but would have been challenging if we had stayed longer.

Overall it was a good experience. Spacious rooms, relatively modern and short walk to shops. Beach is right across the road and I really enjoyed walking to the balcony to soak up the views in the morning. I would stay again. A couple of pain points - tap water had a musty taste so we had to switch to bottled water. There was some noise from neighbouring rooms As rooms aren’t particularly soundproof.

After one shower, no more hot water until the morning.
Night was hard to sleep, really loud noise outside, the owner did try to solve it. Sink was also blocked, there was something inside the insinkerator. I am sure they will say we did as if we have never used or owned one before. Let's see how it goes.

We loved our stay! We booked the waterfront room and it was awesome. It’s fully equipped and furnished so feels like home. It’s got the perfect view of the sunrise.

Absolutely fantastic last minute stay at the Edgewater Palms. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was really large, clean and met all of our needs and then some. Didn't get the chance to use the pool but it looked very inviting. Great location in Paihia, close walk to all the main attractions and amenities

Superb apartment with superb views. Nice clean and spacious. Good location. Nothing wrong with it. Would recommend to anyone. Only improvements that can be done is providing toiletries like tissues and a bit more frequent servicing of 2 days instead of 3 days. But overall a wonderful property to book without any hesitation.
