I'm local but heard about the Onsen and had to come try it. It was a lovely experience and worth the trip and money. The staff were friendly, the rooms and building as clean and in excellent condition. It was delightful. I've been to Japan before and I definitely got an authentic Japanese experience in the onsen. I'm 5'10\" and the women's onsen was two feet deep. If you're a tall and use the women's onsen, just know that your shoulders and neck may not be submerged if you sit down in the water. I had to get creative. This was not a deterrent for me at all, and pretty consistent with what I experienced as a tall person in Japan.

Everyone else had to put their things on the floor. There was no microwave nor iron w/ ironing board in the room. There was 4 of us but only towels for 2. Cedartree Hotel in Hillsboro was a breath of fresh air. Totally love the Japanese owned hotel. I'm told it is about 3 years old...so everything is spotless, high quality and well-tended. I particularly love the Koi pond in the lobby. When was the last time you saw that?
The rooms were comfy, amazing tub/shower area. AC works great. There were only 2 pillows on the King bed...so we had to ask for another. The pillows could have been better, but they were acceptable.
The large Japanese bath pools were kept at 102 degrees. One for men, one for women. Locker areas stocked with plenty of towels, showers and high-quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash. My only surprise based on the listed was that these are not \"hot springs\". They are shallow, warm bath soaking pools. I think the misrepresentation is due to language/translation difficulties. They are in the process of building a nice size outdoor Japanese bath which will be co-ed. Will be back when that opens for sure!

The room was great. Very clean had a great smell to it. The hotel also has a Japanese bath . It was nice you can go in there nude or you can go in there with bathing suit . There one outside also, but we had no access to it because it was under construction. It’s close at midnight, which is great. I wish they offer free breakfast, the option they did have nothing that I really would’ve eaten and it was a little pricey. They Did require a deposit of $100 which I got right back as soon as I checked out I didn’t have to wait a couple days. The staff was really friendly really nice. I had a late checkout which was great. Overall, I would give them an 9 out of 10 just because of the breakfast. Overall, it was great day know complaints for me.

This hotel has a Japanese aura. Loved the bidet and soaking tub in the bathroom. At happy hour we ate a burger and fries, very large calzone type pizza, and 2 classes of wine for $30 plus tip. I wish I would have brought my suit for the hot spring pools. I will definitely go back!!’

The hotel and room was immaculate. The hotel decor has a pleasing esthetic which is calm and soothing. It is like being in a large hotel room in Japan. The room itself has a deep tub for creating your own personal \"onsen\" (Japanese bath) experience, as well as a public \"onsen\" too, which we did not utilize due to time constraints. The drinks in the gift shop were reasonably priced too. We will stay here again.

On this visit (been here before) we had noisy neighbors. Even though the hotel seemed far from full they put us on the side facing the parking lot and traffic. Me and my wife couldn't sit in the hot tub together - kind of disappointing. There's a stadium nearby so can be very noisy if there's a game. Other than that I really love the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel.
