How can laundry cost that much ?

Very nice , breakfast . The price to get your clothes laundered was outrageous. The best breakfast buffet for $5 usd and to get a couple pairs of underwear/ undershirts and socks was going to cost $20 usd !!!! Wow I could get my undies dry cleaned for less than that in the states!!

But overall good location and food was wonderful. Room was nice but not fantastic.

Stay here if you want to sleep with cockroaches!

Horrible stay! When we entered our room at night itbwas full of cockroaches everywhere, on the bed in our bags and in our shoes! Receptionist and hotel were aware of the issue butbwere taking chances with guests. Tge momnet i complained they moved us to the newly renovated floor. Even then the room still smelled like drainage and the smell was stronger in the toilet. Avoid this hotel no matter what. Didnt expect Mercure to become such a third rate hotel.

Hotel property was great. Only thing leaving it. Taxi is a must and for some reason you have to pay 25,000rph every time you come back in to grounds. It's not the hotel that's charging its a park where the hotel is at.

The room Is outdated. The window knobs are rusted. Towels are dirty. They don’t provide hand towels unless upon request. No soap dish on the sink. We booked 2 non smoking rooms and requested for adjacent. Instead got one of the adjacent room and other one down the hall. No availability I’m guessing. throughout the night, can smell cigarettes smoke seeping to our room. Constant loud noise outside the hallways. We booked for 3 nights of stay, After 1 night, we checked out early and adsorbed the cost for other 2 additional nights. For the price, wouldn’t come back.

The hotel was near the beach, however it was unaccessible. It is like a small island by itself with many entertainment parks which is very suitable for families. This is totally not a business hotel, as our Grab drivers have to pay an entrance fee to come in. Upon entering the hotel room, I was greeted with a foul smell and there were ants everywhere. Breakfast was acceptable only, don't expect much. They don't have an egg station. I will not come back again.

Walls are too thin. Had to move rooms after first night because of kids in the room next door running around and ringing doorbell.

Coffee in the room but no kettle to heat the water. When called reception told they had a coffee shop in the lobby.

Second room had tiny ants everywhere including in the bed. Ended up leaving at 5 am just to get out of the place.

Beds are hard and no choice of pillows. Only over stuffed hard pillows. Again when I asked for a mattresss topper or softer pillows was told they didn’t have any.

I spend at least 100 days a year in hotels and this was by far the worst of 2018

Even at checkout when we asked for a letter to show we were guests to get our deposit back for parking they said they couldn’t do it as they couldn’t print at the moment. What a terrible uncaring place. Worst Mercure I have ever stayed in, dordering on worst Accor hotel I have stayed in and I have stayed in all there budget hotels.

I very very rarely write reviews of hotels but this one needed to be told. If you want to stay in a hotel in jakarta, choose any but this one.

This is a pretty nice hotel. The rooms are a little small. Most of the staff was excellent, however, one day one of the staff refused to clean my room. Would not clean a room a white man was in. This was the only glitch. The breakfasts were very good.

Was upgraded to larger room. Staff very friendly. Check in was quick. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and large. Had western foods also. Had a little trouble getting answers on shuttles and costs for venues. English a little limited sometimes but we got by.

AMAZING HOTEL - GREAT SERVICE..

It was my first time in Jakarta!
I was amazed by the high quality of all the offering during my stay. Great location. Very comfortable. Clean room with very nice views. Buffet is awesome. Service is excellent and staff are superb.
Special thanks to Eben who was extremely courteous and wanted to ensure my stay was comfortable and a pleasant experience.
Also want to thank Anna for her great service and thank all the staff for making my stay so enjoyable :)
I will definitely come back for next time and will recommend the hotel to family members and Friends .

A resort hotels in an entertainment complex. You have to pay to get in to the park to get to the hotel which is not mentioned in any of the hotel information. Be warned.

First time for the whole family at a themed environment. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Service was brilliant and the pool area was just fantastic. Reception however should have informed us during check in that a validation document was required to avoid paying an unnecessary re-entry fee at the gantries whenever we go out beyond Ancol. Guys who manned the gates were very adamant on this. No excuses, even when we offered to get in touch with Mercure for them.

Nice place to stay at Ancol.

The breakfast is somewhat catered towards Indonesians but as a foreigner I was able to find few items acceptable tomy taste. The sausages and bacon are terrible. The hotel is under renovation. Online hotel sites would not tell you if you are getting the old room or the new room. Be aware. The hotel management by the front desk is bit slow. You have to be patient for your turn. Very professional concierge team.

Assigned to a smoking floor for some reason initially. Everything in the room smelled of smoke, even the fresh towels. After changing rooms that wasn't a problem. However, the room cards would stop working almost every day, so there was frequent trips to reception to get the programmed again. Pretty annoying when you're in your pyjamas.

When checkin, the reseptionist guy said \"my selected ocean view room\" is on old floor, the sea view wasnt really good. So he suggested to move other floor, which is new renovation floor and has good ocean view, but i need to top up extra 100k rupiah for a night, so i need to pay 200k extra for 2 night staying there. Hopefully Hotels.com really give a exact price with a real condition.

mthe hotel is not value for money, the room very small \"the new renovated one\" the twin bed very2 small, i stay with 2 kids 6 n 8yo, may they want their guest rent more rooms, but lil kids will not want to stay in the room alone wothout their parent. the hotel is near amusement park thus it should be for family, however they dis not give enough bed space for family. i guess they are aim for business people. the check in and check out need a very long time, the processed for minimal 20mins each guest, so be prepare for long waiting. the water from the shower very2 small, it even can not be warm, either hot or cold...really disatisfied with mercure ancol, it is not worth for rp 1.275.000/night.

When you see it when you're arriving it's probably one of the ugliest Mercure hotels in the world. Inside the standard is of course ok.

The breakfast was so-so. Friday there was some nice chicken dish available, Saturday not. A nice detail: humus is available, however only in homeopathic doses. If you take one table spoon off the buffet from the full plate, half the plate is empty. This seems to be a running theme - when the omelette chef asked one of the other chefs to bring some cheese, she brought a tiny dish of cheese, which may have lasted for two omelettes. 5 minutes later she brought the next portion of cheese. Same size. Also on Saturday the tables weren't set up with cutlery and serviettes.

Last but not least: When Entering the Ancol area you need to pay Rp 25.000 per person. Showing the hotel reservation is not enough. It's only USD 2 but it's slightly annoying. Mercure should find a better arrangement. For the following days you get vouchers to get back in without paying.

The hotel is very close to some tourist attractions, such as Dufan, Seaworld, beach, Atlantis. Many staffs were helpful. The hotel is clean. However, I don't know why, the refrigerator in my room didn't work.

1F breakfast / restaurant is the only better element of this hotel. Otherwise, it was a general disappointment throughout.

Booked for deluxe ocean-view with balcony. Arrived at 1pm for check-in but was told a higher floor was not available until 2pm. Fair enough. Took lunch at 1F restaurant and back at 2:20pm. Again, was not available and was told if I prefer a high floor in the new wing, I would have to wait unless I take a smoking room in the old building. Waited until 3:05pm with welcome drink, decided to approach the reception again and was offered a free upgrade to executive room in the new wing but low floor.

Just bigger space with no real purpose / utility in it. No ocean view. Ants in bar counter and adjoining table. Was not told that by hotel that I would have to pay entrance fee into Ancol. SPA masseuse was 15 minutes late for appointment according to my colleague. Service of staff members literally disappeared as things went downhill.

Stayed in mercure for 2 days,, the building seems like an old building but inside is good, clean. The staff services was also excellent. For the location is quite near from airport, took us for about 30mins only. Kind of recomended hotel to stay.

Old hotel being renovated.

It was an old hotel being renovated. I found the interior and furnitures were 70% new but the exteriors were old including the windows. I found that staying at this hotel was pricy considering the level of hotel's condition. The hotel facilities and access though, were fantastic especially for family or if you have little children. The kids playground, swimming pools, as well as access to theme parks and many facilities at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol were the first reasons to stay at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

Overall the stay was decent. The room was clean though the facilities were old and the hairdryer was not usable at all. The service staff had to change the battery of our safe. The room size was bigger than expected but the room was stuffy even though the aircon was turned on.

Although a pleasant hotel, it is well behind others in S E Asia when catering for English speaking guests. I found
it quite difficult to enquire about the most basic things such as booking an onward train ticket to Bandung. The staff speak little or no English, and when you consider that it is the common international language, I find it surprising. Even lesser developed countries like Cambodia are streets ahead in this area!! I spoke to a woman in the night art market who told me that very few Westerners visit Maybe this is why. It is a pity because Java appears to have a lot to offer Perhaps the Indonesian tourist board is not bothered by this? However, Bali is in a different league! If you can overcome the hassle of organising anything, this hotel meets other standards.

Horrible condition. Terrible location

Hotel is old but I would expect cleanliness of the room to meet basic requirement. Bathroom looks old and dirty, towels are old, water heater not working one of the day, water from tap is brownish in colour. I am not going to stay in this hotel anymore. Would rather take cabs to and fro for meeting then to be stuck in a remote area with a pathetic area they call a theme park.

May not come back the next time

We stayed here as the concert venue (MEIS) is nearby, not walkable distance though. About 30mins drive from airport to hotel.

The room is big but interior looks run-down. TV is really small in a rather spacious room. Bed is comfortable. We could hear our neighbours' loud music late into the night.... we called for room service and was promised a 15 mins wait.... however we waited for nearly 45mins - 1hr... and worse still, one of the order was wrong. We gave up asking for an exchange thinking we may need another 45mins wait....

all in all, i think i will not recommend a stay here...

Requested for a King size bed but was not fulfilled. Was given a free upgrade to the next available room with king size bed only after we made a fuss on the next morning. But the disaster doesn't end. We were woken up by the noise coming from the renovation work above our room at 9am each day for the rest of our stay. Worst hotel stay I've ever experienced.

This hotel really offrers an excellent environment for business stay. Even for leasure trip, it is nice because of the surrounding green Ancol park and the nearby coast (there is a beach but not really for swimming). To touristic sites and Jakarta downtown, you have to take taxi or 10 min walk to bus station.

A nice family hotel with good view

Big and clean rooms that keeps a good standard. Large beds, stable wifi, silent and good space for working or playing.
A lot of activities for kids at all ages with a mini version of a in-house water park and a kids club that has VR games and a large activity room.
Breakfast was good and had a lot of options.
