The hotel was modern and clean with lots of parking and a good breakfast in the morning. As a bonus there was a pool table where you could play for free. The hotel is a good distance from Breda centre, but you can get an Uber for around €10

Rude staff and a dirty room

This hotel is a terribly run down motel, run by staff who don't seem to care. I arrived by bike, and was told a frame of aluminium sat in a parking space was their secure bike parking. I raised this and the staff member on the front desk was entirely disinterested. Arriving in the room, the floor was gritty, the bathroom was tired, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Not worth it, do not stay here.

Staff at the hotel was friendly but when we got into the room, the room looks clean but only just a “look” and all towels in the rooms was dirty and we didn’t want to use so first night we didn’t use towels from hotel but uses own small towels. Next day room was clean (finally) but with this room rate, it shouldn’t happened.

This is a good hotel in a convenient location within driving distance of many options. Parking is easy, the staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and well stocked. The only negative was the bathroom was a little small with a small sink and tight shower. Otherwise everything was fine. I would return here if I were to stay in the Breda area in the future.

While there, I suggest having dinner at Loetje Breda. The restaurant is pretty, the service is very good and the food is excellent. It is a short drive from the hotel.

The person at the front desk who checked us in was great. The building was being renovated and she had to see if our room was ready at 8 pm. Not acceptable. Our halllway was an absolute mess upon arrival. Very dusconcerting. Made me feel very uncomfortable and uneasy.

We have stayed four times at the Bastion Hote at Prinsenbeek, Breda during the Jazz Festival Weekend. Although it is situated away from the centre the transport links are excellent. There is a bus service and the train station is a very short walk from the hotel.

I stayed here 10 days. At first I was not sure of the quality of this hotel. Quickly I found the property very charming. The staff is awesome and very accommodating.

The rooms are a touch small at less the 200 square feet. Yet for a single person they are quite cozy for 2 it seems a bit small when you have 2 single beds.

The property does have breakfast. Bread, fruit, meat cheese and made to order eggs and plenty of vegetables. Honestly it's best to add breakfast at booking of the room otherwise it's a touch on the high side. Add it at booking and it's a great deal.

They do have a inside smoking room with a pool table. A vending machine for tobacco snacks and beer. Not one of the highest perks but handy if you desire such.

Overall for staying in Breda it's a great hotel near a train stop and about 5 minutes to Breda town center. A must see town.

Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone, staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. The hotel also has its own well stocked bar.

The hotel is situated close to main roads/motorway so it's ideal to get to other places. If you wish to go to Breda town centre it's around 10minutes in a car or 40+mins walk.

Arrived in Breda, looking for a place to eat and overnight on a recent road trip through The Netherlands. The hotel is just off the highway, coming from the north. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of staff and quick check in. The room was perfect with an amazing print of the Breda city skyline and a lovely view of the many hydrangeas in full bloom in the carpark garden. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. A pleasant stay overall.

Walk to Prinsenbeek train starion, 1 stop to Breda Centrum (2.50 euro), free parking, free wifi, restaurant is good. Not a hotel to hang out at but perfect to lay your head and use as a base for work or travel. Easy access to Tilburg, Breda, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Antwerp.....

This was our second stay and I can't recommend the hotel and service high enough. If you are on a budget it's a fantastic place to stay and it doesn't feel like a moderately priced hotel..... breakfast is a must, fresh omelettes and fruit juice!

Found some public areas very hot despite air conditioning.Room facilities and comfort good,liked the fact it had fridge with complimentary water.Hotel does its job but seemed to lack friendly atmosphere.Apart from offices nearby nothing else of interest close by.Did not like being asked for local tax on check out,having paid this in cash on arrival,reception did not have any record of me paying and I did not get given any receipt.Staff said ok they trust me !!.

After a day trip to Antwerp, my wife and I stayed one night at Breda before we continued on to Rotterdam and then Amsterdam. I booked this place because of the free parking, the great rate and the good reviews. This hotel was also conveniently located near the highway about halfway to our next stop, Rotterdam. After booking, I also realized Breda, about 10 minute drive from the hotel, was an interesting little town, with a lot of restaurants and a very charming old town. The staff were very friendly; the cleaniness of the room was irreprochable and the Internet was great. Very happy with everything and would definitely stay there again.

Stayed 3 nights and used restaurant each evening, used the gym as well. Room suited my needs although not cleaned one day, tea and coffee and water in room as well as a fridge which was useful.
Nice shower, but sink was useless as it was so small and had a large shelf above it !!
Staff were nice and so was the restaurant food and reasonably priced.
Would stay there again if required.

This hotel ticked all the boxes we needed it for. Cheap, quiet, comfortable and close to the motorway. We stayed a Saturday night, with an extremely good room rate. The room was spotlessly clean, and situated on the 4th floor in a quiet part of the hotel (although the hotel itself does not look like a noisy place!). The bathroom was also spotless and had a few toiletries. We were very impressed for the price paid. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful with printing off directions for me. The hotel has a free car park and is situated on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Breda. This isn't a problem if you have a car and there is a bus stop nearby in any event. It was also located 5 minutes from the motorway which meant it was quick and easy to hit the road back to Calais the following morning. Overall, we were really happy with what we booked and would highly recommend if you're either staying in Breda or as a stopover en-route to another destination.

The only way to measure service is to see how they handle a problem. In this case I give them 1 for service. All staff apart were great apart from the manager Susan. She does not know how to handle problems, nor people. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience with the manager.

Stayed in the hotel for one night prior to a family trip by bus (where we could board the bus opposite the hotel). The rooms were very basic (even though we booked a 'better room'), the baby bed we booked was broken, so our baby had to sleep in between ourselves. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. What was good though is that we could leave the car at the hotel for the 2,5 days we were away. Also, I'm used to hotels in Asia, which are in general a lot better.

The hotel is clean, but their staff seems to be understaffed and overworked. The person at the desk also has to take food orders in their restaurant, bus the tabels, fetch the drinks and more. Therefore, there is a wait either in the restaurant or at the front desk. But that said, this hotel is fine for a short stay.

we stayed at the hotel for two nights and could not realy fault it , however we didn't spend a lot of time in it as we were visiting friends, but it was ideal for our needs . a little bit away from the town centre of Breda but for us as it was ok as it wasonly about 1/2 klm from our friends house . Very good budget hotel.

1 overnachting met 2 bedden waarvan 1 matras inzakte, laken van het andere bed vertoonde vuile vlekken, vloeren badkamer en slaapkamer waren niet proper, spinnenweb met 2 spinnen in de badkamer. ‘‘s nachts veel lawaai op de gang. Klacht neergelegd bij de hotelmanager die mij beloofde een gedeelte van de prijs terug te storten. Hopelijk is dit geen loze belofte.
