Dinner in the restaurant was hit and miss, with forgetful service and no response from anyone to the one of three dishes that was a big disappointment (grilled chicken in the Caesar salad was a few strips of dry, cold and obviously previously grilled).

It is not walkable to any shopping nearby. You need a car to go anywhere from this hotel because it’s kind of secluded. The carpet in the hallway from the elevator to room is dated and has spots and a little smell. Other than that it’s a great hotel. Room are spacious and beds are comfortable even the pillows were good which is hard to find in a hotel. I like the self service shop in the lobby for any water, snacks or beer.

It was convenient to get into Dordrecht town for shopping via use of the Bus system and the staff was very helpful to assist in ordering a cab when needed!!

This hotel was truly outstanding. Very modern, very , very clean, excellent staff, excellent bar and dining room ( we ate dinner in their dining room 5 of the 7 nights we were in Dordrecht).
Our only complaint was that our maid did not make up our room on three occasions. We did manage to get clean towels, soap, etc. without a problem, but it remains a mystery why she did not do our room.

Your employees can't write the bill for the company. They miss it and then they tried to explain that they can't do a new one. It happend to me and 2 more man thet stayed in this hotel. All it happened in 15 min. Not Happy at all becouse I will have to pay it from my pocket....

Wonderful hotel, beautiful, very stylish, large and comfortable rooms. The penthouse level pool and sauna and fitness area is amazing! with an outdoor terrace overlooking the whole area. Two nights on the run I had to send my food back. First night poor quality steak. Second nights pork over cooked and missing items as described on the menu. I haven’t checked but I think they may still have charged me for these. Hotel is in the middle of know where so should be better. Rooms are nice as is the bar area. Shame about the food.

Choice hotel due to the indoor salt swimming pool, which exceeded expectations with the water being a perfect temperature, the area being tidy and the provision of towels.
The hotel and bedroom was very comfortable and both the bedroom and bathroom was large and clean.

The only negatives was the lack of food options available at dinner/evening. You either had to have food from the main dinner menu, which was expensive or the bar snacks. It would have been nice to have some other lighter options that was available during the day.

We are from Australia and travell all over Europe buying for our Antique store. Never before have we stayed in a hotel as good as this. It starts the moment you enter the place. Friendly, efficient smiling staff greet you, all is 100% efficient. Our room was like a suite, everything is in large proportions and spotless. The only small criticism is that there are no tissues in the bathroom, sorry, large bathroom, but this is all we could fault. I continually went to the reception and complained that I had nothing to complain about!!!

The air conditioning did not work well, and could not open windows without the system completely shutting off. Had to keep drapes closed to keep heat out. Also there was construction above us that we were not made aware of at check in; was not relaxing listening to hammering and drilling in the morning to early afternoon.

A couple of days near to walking distance work place. Pretty warm, but not a fan of aircon and the associated fan noise. Unfortunately room faced motorway so leaving the balcony door ajar was not practical. Restaurant is efficient and food excellent.
Took the opportunity to rent a bike and visit the town centre without too much effort and much cheaper than taking a taxi!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Hotel is great has a large car park, swimming pool/sauna/gym. Only thing is wifi is not strong enough to cover the whole room. So we couldn't get wifi when in bed and had to stay close to the door to get signal.

Upon checking in , the staff told me that they have given my room to another person with the same surname. And the hotel was fully booked for the night. Thus they can't accommodate us.
It was hard to understand how could they made such a mistake.
The staff seemed to be very professional and well dressed from their appearance.
Does the person that they gave my room to have the same name as mine?
Was the booking confirmation number same as mine ?
Was the email address of the person same as mine in his booking confirmation?
The manager Mr Bram Vos helped us out.
He found a hotel for us about 24 miles away in Oosterhout.
He offered to pay for the cab fare.
He offered to pay for my petrol since we drove.
He offered to give me a free night stay.
I will accept the third offer. And will wait for an email from him regarding this.

Great for Business
For business trips always find this hotel very good as it brings the key elements of what is required to work in both a formal and social setting under 1 roof. By this I mean it has meeting/function rooms in which to conduct work during the day, but also has a very good on site restaurant for the social side of things. There is also plenty of space in both communal areas and the rooms themselves when you need it. The hotel also includes a gym and a pool although these are more compact in contrast to other areas of the hotel. There is also a good bar. The hotels location and facilities lend itself much more to the business trip than a place to stay for a city break base as it is too remote to make any tourist attractions or other bars/ shops easily walkable. That said, it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't and as a business base, the Van der Walk is just great.

Great Hotel, obviously very new and therefore showing no signs of distress or wear. Huge rooms and beds. Be warned though, you will probably be eating in the hotel restaurant, as the hotel is miles for the town and associated bars and restaurants. The hotel food is excellent though

Was at this hotel for a one-day conference. The hotel itself is very nice - good, modern rooms, great bar and restaurant. Unfortunately this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It's a 20 minute ride (appox. 25 euro) from the Dordrecht train station. The hotel is next to the interstate, no there is nowhere to walk or things to see unless you want to take another 20 minute taxi ride into the town area.
