Good location for chain hotel

Good location and easy to get around.
The family room we stayed was not in good cleanness status. Good initiatives to swap house keeping for free drinks, make sure to ask the daily voucher if not offered. My friend family had all their daily vouchers at checkin and we had to ask after we learned this.

Good stay

Was a nice stay, good location, close to supermarket and restaurants. Room was compact but workable, bed was comfy, tv was good size. Breakfast was OK, not a huge selection but good quality, especially scrambled egg. For most part was comfortable climate despite the heat (35+ degrees) but sadly on the final night the air con seemed to not be working so was too warm for me, but aside from that was a good stay.

Good location, questionable value

As with any Ibis, it's supposed to be budget-friendly, no frills but still meet a standard of comfort and cleanliness that makes it a safe bet. Overall the location is great, the service was good but the room was a bit off. I was travelling with 2 friends so we booked a single room with 3 x single beds but for some reason, these rooms are designed for people with disabilities. This wasn't mentioned anywhere when booking and whilst I appreciate the need to provide facilities for this, I dont think they are suitable or ideal for regular travellers and it made the stay somewhat uncomfortable. I also think that as a minimum, basic tea or coffee facilities should be made available and I was surprised that the only way to get a hot drink was to pay for an overpriced coffee at the lobby. Overall, I would stay again but only if the price is lower than some of the other hotels in the area.

Great location. So many attractions within walking distance and public transportation was also easy to access. We were easily able to do day trips to other communities and cities. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice.
We did not do the breakfast service. We found the grocery store across the street very convenient for anything we needed. We asked and were given a kettle for boiling water to making our own tea and coffee in our room. It is a budget hotel but very nice
I would recommend this hotel to anybody planning a visit to Rotterdam.

Pictures are misleading, room very small, no tissues, had to pay for ice. Bare bones type of hotel.Shower had mildew.Bed was uncomfortable. There was a vocal performance and movie on a big screen on the canal right outside the hotel. It was noisy till 2am on Saturday night. If we had known we would have stayed elsewhere. If most Ibis properties are like this one we will not stay at one again!

Three stars is a bit of a stretch for this place. It looks nice from the lobby but the veneer starts to peel away when you enter the rooms. The bathroom in the first room we were in had an acrid urine smell so we changed to another room. That one was better, but the carpet was soiled and worn, the curtains were stained, and the walls were scuffed all over. I wouldn’t stay again.

Friendly staff but a little worn and dirty

The staff at the hotel was friendly and accommodating. The location of this hotel is great. It is very close to a train station that connects you to all major train hubs. It is situated in the marina so the views can be lovely unless you are facing the other direction in which case you are looking at an icky apartment complex. Our first room smelled so bad that I asked to move which was a mistake since we no longer had a view. The room itself was okay but really worn and dirty looking. The beds were clean and comfortable. There was no iron in the room and when I asked for one it turned out it was broken so I had to get another one. I am not sure why the hotel has a three star rating since it could use a good renovation and newer amenities.

They were happy to give us ice for our water at the bar. Breakfast was very good and well worth the price. The only thing I can say that is a little negative is that I don't understand why Europe hotels do not have washcloths. I use a washcloth everyday of my life except in Europe where you can't get one in a hotel for some strange reason.

Im on a solo trip through Europe and ibis have fast becoming my favourite hotels. The staff are always top notch, friendly, eager to help and they have all spoken perfect English, which is a huge plus for me. The rooms are always clean, and have all the basics i personally need.

Pros: friendly staff, decent breakfast, great location.
Cons: small room with very little in it. No fridge made things interesting.

Probably OK for a weekend, but not for a longer stay. Very loud at times with noise coming from all angles. One small window, the room felt dark.
Housekeeping didn’t provide fresh linens. They just made the bed (six days in a row)!

Can’t beat the location though.

Very convenient location. Friendly staff with a good breakfast. Very clean and functional rooms. Only area for improvement would be the air-conditioning - it was quite noisy in my room and as there was no breeze outside, opening the window was not an option. Also the breakfast area did not appear to have the air-conditioning on (or the windows / doors open), so it was quite warm.

Modern hotel in great location

Hotel is in a great location, close to the city centre. The hotel itself is modern & comfortable on the whole. Only downside to our stay was that we found the room to be cold even when we had the thermostat on the highest temperature. Tea & coffee facilities would of been nice in the room

The location of the hotel is really nice close to public transport and the famous market hall. The breakfast was included in our room rate and was quite altright, however, I would not pay 15 euros for it.

When it comes to the cleanliness of the room, there was a big stain in the carpet floor. Moreover, there was a hole in the bed sheet and the dovet was yellow- it had not been washed for some time. In addition, the water from the shower came on the floor outside the shower cabin but there was nothing to dry the floor with.

A great budget hotel

Clean and comfortable and attractive, and easy to find. We walked from Rotterdam Station in the end - we only had hand luggage so we were fine and we enjoyed seeing the City Centre on the way. The area the hotel is in is lovely! Very close to the Cube Houses and the big food hall!

The room was comfortable and the shower was quite big! We also liked that they offer a €5 voucher if you choose not to have your room made up each day. We had a leaky tap which left a wet floor in the bathroom and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and resolved the issue straight away!

We would definitely return.

In room facilities needs to be a little better. It would be great if there is shampoo, conditioner, and body wash separated instead of a all-in-one body wash. Also it would be better if there is a fridge in the room. Overall, it is clean, location is not bad , and the service is fine. And in gerenal, it is a good value.
