The hotel is very central and you have many restaurants nearby and public transportation is easy accesible from there. However, the elevator was not working for the whole 3 days that we were there and we had many luggages and our room was in the third floor so you can imagine the struggle. Furthermore, on the last night the turned the ventilator on for some hours which caused our room to become dry and hot. The ventilator was also very loud. On the other hand, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

The location of this hotel is great, but apart from that it wasn’t good. When we arrived it was 34 degrees and when we got into our room there was a machine with air con buttons but it was blowing hot air into the room (unbearable) we went to reception to ask and they informed us there was no air con and no way we could change rooms, we asked for a spare fan and tried to stay through the night as we didn’t have an option. The hotel was a bit dodgy and when walking to our room we spotted somebodies drugs which had dropped out of the bag on the floor. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up leaving after 1 and getting somewhere else. We tried to contact Expedia about this (they were great) but the hotel refused to give us a refund for the one night and wouldn’t cooperate with us or Expedia. It’s a shame as the location is great and some of the receptionists are great but it wasn’t great at all

Overall not a pleasant experience

The room was extremely basic as I expected, but even then it wasn't a great stay. An external fan was placed in the room but didn't really do much to cool the room. There was a single hanger but no where to put it. There was coat hanger but there was shelves in the way so couldn't use. While the bathroom was a decent size and a good shower, the toilet didn't seem to flush very well and had to use it a couple of times. The tap was very loose and lighting in the bathroom wasn't great as when using the mirror you only saw a shadow on your face. There seems to be mold painted over in one of the corners of the main room.

Outside of the room, the lift wasn't working and so there was a lot of stairs to my room. There was also leaks happening in the foyer. There wasn't clear enough signs for large steps and also fell.

Staff was pleasant enough but I can't recommend this hotel. Maybe as a one night stay but overall it wasn't a great experience.

Lovely helpful staff. You get exactly what you order, a room with a bed. A basic room with no extras like tea/coffee making equipment. However the bed was very comfortable and the new shower room with powerful shower was top notch. Good for a stopover or 48-hour stay but wouldn’t book a longer break around it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We stayed at H3 for 6 nights in total. On arrival we were pleased with our room. However, on closer inspection we were placed in a room that had broken aircon/heating which was constantly blowing freezing air- As we stayed in January’24 the temperature was already extremely cold. Making staff aware they informed up that they would turn it off from their main system, however when we came back in the evening after long day out we were unpleasantly suprised that this had not been done. We were then provided with a faulty space heater which was sparking during use and acted as a major fire hazard. The next evening we came back to the same issue so we shared our concerns to a different member of staff.The second member of staff after some pleading eventually came up to the room in order to check the heating system. This member of staff also questioned why we their colleague had provided a heater which had been in the ‘broken’ pile.
The second main problem we had was the cleaning facilities. We put the cleaning sign up on day 3 of our stay.- No one came to clean the room whilst we were out for 8+ hours, despite our cleaning sign being put up the evening before.The bins were only emptied once throughout our stay - considering these bins were tiny it was very dirty. When the hair dryer was used in the bathroom a thick oil leaked onto the counter and subsequently our toiletries. The room also had mould which was covered up by a chair. I would not recommend staying here. AVOID AT ALL

It's a typical 2-star hotel useful as a crashpad for tourists. Good location, close to metro and many restaurants. No AC (typical for Europe) but windows didn't open very large and on a busy street so very noisy in the evenings. The staff happily gave me a fan when I asked for one, which helped. Bathroom is TINY; be prepared to get everything wet when showering. Fresh towels provided when requested, as per normal for Europe. No elevator! Be prepared to haul your bags up stairs. Decent place, served my needs.

The hotel is in a convenient location but neighborhood is very noisy during the night. Hotel staff are friendly. There is no elevator in the hotel. There is no AC in rooms. The bathroom was renovated and nice, but towels and linens were stained. The sofa bed was too narrow for an adult to sleep comfortably. No kitchen in the hotel so dining is not available. Overpriced for this quality.

It was ok. We had a windowless room which was absolutely fine, infact I think rather helpful with the surrounding noise!
The towels and sheets etc are very basic, expect what you pay for.
The reception staff were absolutely lovely.
The room was a bit dirty, particularly under the bed and in the shower but again it was cheap!

The location was great, the front desk were helpful, nice and welcoming.
The facility is not in top shape.

Cant really fault the H3 Rotterdam considering the reasonably low cost and great central location. We booked a twin room for 2 nights. The room is small but the beds are comfortable, shower is awesome and staff are friendly. It was all about location for us with loads of great bars just meters away and Rotterdam central station a brisk 7-10 min walk.

I don't often post bad reviews but the attitude of the person in the front desk was awful and has prompted me to write this.
Firstly upon check in I was told I had to pay a €50 deposit, I have no issue with this. I asked where the nearest cash machine was, he showed me an address in a folder for a cafe. He couldn't tell me if it was left or right up the road. He told me this was a free cash machine, it wasn't. It was €3.95 per withdrawal.
I eventually found a free cash machine near by. I told the person this when I returned to the hotel and he didn't seem interested and didn't apologize for giving bad information. He took my deposit and gave me my room key. Didn't point me in the direction of where to go.
I was on the 3rd floor with no lifts, not a problem for me but others may struggle.
The room was poor, the plug only worked when the lights were on, the vent was loud but very inefficient.
The shower door didn't cover the full door frame area so the bathroom was drenched after a shower.
Light bulbs were missing in the ceiling and the bed wasn't very comfy.
I will not be returning here, regardless of what price the room is.

An excellent hotel ideally placed for sightseeing. Close to the trams and metro. Lots of cafes and bars nearby. The Reception staff did an excellent job and were very helpful. The museum district is just down the street and is an ideal way to pass a day.

A OK stay for a night or two, but I wouldn’t book it again.
The hotel used to be cool and nice back in the days, but now it is tired and needs maintenance, the carpet and curtains has permanent stains. There is no elevator so you have to walk up all the flights with your baggage.

Don`t book a room with no window!

Don`t go here if you want to get some rest at night and don`t book a room with no windows! The aircon makes horrible noises and you won`t get a minute of sleep! Otherwise, hotel is in a good location, city center many restaurants. Rooms are in a good conditon, seem renovated, reception service ok. However the hallways and reception area are old and run-down and smell bad. Hotel in general gives the impression of a hostel. All in all I would not come back.

Ok, elephant in the room: there is no lift, and that burns when you’re carrying luggage! But the place is brand new as are all the rooms; I had a massive double bed. The price is half what you’d pay for a similar room elsewhere and the people in reception are great - I’d stay here again. Rooms would benefit from a garbage can under the desk and perhaps some more hooks for hanging up coats, etc.

Adios, we're never coming back

There is no elevator! My 78 year old was given a room on the 4th floor and there was no alternative given. It took her a lot of time and effort to climb the stairs with the luggage after a long day.
Also, the window didn't close well so we had both the noise from the street (very good and lively location) and the cold. Here again: no help. Window couldn't be fixed no heating available (out of order) nor were there blankets available. So we froze our way through the night.
Also, only one towel per person, no robe, not one hanger for our clothes, no amenities in the bathroom.
Just a bed with a super thin cover, lamps, 3 towels and a shower. That's really it.

Useless people behind the desk that is incompetent. The room was mouldy and not been cleaned for weeks, the batheoom was moulfy and disgusting, the roof in the bathroom was black and had a hole in it, the sleeping matress was stained with piss and it looked like someone puked on the bed frame. The bedsheets were not clean and had some stains in them aswell, got \"new\" and was the same and had hair on them aswell. Looked like it was starting to grow a bedbug farm in the room aswell, very big health hazard and should have -5 rated and should be shut down and destroy the building.

This is my first time ever having to leave a hotel after spending just a couple of minutes in the room. The sheets had yellow spots, black spots, oil spots and long black hair.

The wall was also covered in some large white stains.

Did not really have time to experience the rest, but the room felt like a sauna and a scooter passed by and it sounded as if I was standing in the street.

I stayed at the hotel during the International Rotterdam Film Festival. Location of the hotel is very convenient and at a walking distance to many of the festival venues. The room was comfortable with new and clean toilet and shower facilities. Room was quiet in the nights. Sound and light proof. My only concern is about the central heating system. It cannot be controlled via the pad in the room. It was a bit warm for me in the nights. Maybe better than feeling cold but still:)) I am satisfied with all the rest. Thanks to the staff as well. They are always ready to help with a friendly attitude.

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Verhouding prijs kwaliteit is goed. Netheid van de kamer voor ons voldoende. Misschien alleen wel een idee om een douchegordijn op te hangen, te checken of de föhn het wel doet en of de zeepautomaat in de douche gevuld is . Gangen waren echt smoezelig, evenals het klantentoilet in de kelder. Wel prima centraal gelegen.

De mensen achter de receptie zijn uiterst vriendelijk. Het hotel is gedateerd en is aan vernieuwing toe. Het bed sliep heerlijk. De douche had een goede straal. Wij hebben er alleen geslapen. Er is geen ontbijt beschikbaar. Maar in de buurt kun je heerlijk ontbijten. Het is midden in het uitgaansgebied. Verder geen faciliteiten in het hotel. Als je alleen hoeft te slapen is dit een pri.a hotel.

Gunstig gelegen wel lawaaiig.

Redelijk hotel, goed gelegen in een uitgaansgebied in het centrum zodat bezienswaardigheden dichtbij zijn. De andere kant is dat het ook druk en lawaaig is op straat. Vooral midden in de nacht tussen half vier en half vijf was er veel lawaai. Ondanks de kunststof kozijnen en het dubbelglas kwam dat wel binnen, gelukkig had ik oordopjes. De deur van de hal naar de gang klapte ook heel hard dicht wat vervelend was. Verder was de kamer schoon en goed te doen.

Wir hatten zwei seperate Zimmer. Die Zimmerböden waren wahnsinnig staubig. Meine Kollegin lies dem Zimmerservice eine Notiz da das doch bitte die Böden gereinigt werden. Leider hatte das nichts gebracht. Jedoch wurde bei ihr neue Handtücher hingelegt und das Bett gemach. Bei mir wurde lediglich der Mülleimer im Bad geleert. Weder neue Handtücher noch wurde das Bett gemacht. Für 2 Nächte war es aber im grossen und ganzen voll ok. Etwas laut da es sich direkt in der Partymeile befindet aber auch das ist aushaltbar.

Struttura fatiscente. Camera sporca. Mancava una tenda oscurante avevamo giorno dalla mattina presto. Fori nei muri di mensole staccate mai rimontate. Phon guasto TV non funzionante. Tutto fatto presente e nessuno intervento per ripristinare le cose non funzionanti o mancanti. È una truffa.
Rumore fino a tarda notte dai locali sotto in strada e mancanza di aria condizionata

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Aber das Hotel selbst ist nicht sehr gut. Im Badezimmer riecht es unangenehm nach Abwasser. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte kaum und es war heiß draußen. Es gibt keine Schalldämmung. Sehr laut. Ich kann es Familien nicht empfehlen.

Erg vriendelijk personeel. Het gebouw wordt gerenoveerd en dat geeft een rommelig geheel. In de douche ruik je het riool. De kamer is overigens netjes. De tv doet het dan weer niet. ‘s Nachts hoor je de ventilatie duidelijk wat voor mijn vrouw lastig in slaap komen betekende.
Verder hebben we een prima overnachting gehad. Leuke buurt

Im Bad roch es nach Kanal. Der Geruchsverschluß der Dusche ist wohl falsch montiert. Im Zimmer roch es nach einer Mischung aus Erbrochenem und Schweinestall. Lüften war nur wenig hilfreich. Die Belüftung/Klimaanlage ohne Funktion.

Goed voor 1 nacht. Kamer op zich was schoon, wel schimmel in de badkamer (plafond!). Bed lag ook prima. Er is geen lift en ze vragen €50 borg (cash of creditcard).
Neem oordoppen mee, want het ligt aan een drukke straat.

I unfortunately did not check the reviews of the previous customers before booking and that's why I've expected to see some unacceptable things. You will see it immediately when enter the lobby, old furniture, very dirty surfaces and a kind of neglected place.
The premises has no elevator, which can be for some people unpractical, everything you see is old and defect.
The carpet on the floor before entering the room is very dirty with staines, you enter the room and wave of very unpleasant air hits you in the face and then you would realise that is full with mold.
You can find mold around the windows, on the walls and in the shower area.
Taking a shower was also kind of a nightmare, since the water doesn't mix, so you can't basically have a proper shower because you will struggling to to get a relatively warm water to shower properly, but you will never succeed 😅 The water would be either burning hot or ice cold.
I have never tried to ask anything from the people sitting behind the desk, since you would realise that they are just some students trying to make some money and that they wouldn't be able to help because they don't have the possibility nor the material to assist or help, adding to that that they aren't professionals.
In few words, never ever again.

Well first of all i was in shock that there was no breakfast included my reservation and they say we have to go outside to have breakfast at other restaurants... then they ask 50,- euro this cant be payed by card only visa so we have to pay contant. There is no kitchen so there is np possibility to order something, then we have to take the stairs to the second flour because the elevator doesnt work, then we put the tv on, it also doesnt work... they only thing thats ok isthe shower and the bed. TIP: book here when ure traveling through.
