The nhow Rotterdam hotel is part of the sleek new De Rotterdam building situated on the Wilhelminapier in a prime waterfront location overlooking the river Maas, an area known as ‘Manhattan on the river Maas'. Local attractions less than 3km away from the hotel include the Erasmus Bridge, Museumpark Rotterdam, Euromast, and Market Binnenrottesquare.

Our generously sized, non-smoking rooms offer floor to ceiling windows and feature many modern amenities including free Wi-Fi with the Horizon suite having 2 TVs in a separate living area. Larger rooms with premium views provide ample space for the extra bed and sitting area.

An early bird breakfast and a breakfast buffet is prepared daily and made-to-order hot dishes are available upon request. The in-hotel kitchen Gastrobar Elvy serves a variety of International cuisine and opens for lunch and dinner every day.

For guests who wish to have meals in their room, we provide room service. The nhow Bar, located on the 7th floor, is perfect for a cocktail or a cup of tea.

For the 11 meeting rooms the hotel offers individual audiovisual set up. Three of the meeting rooms are part of the Loft which allows events for up to 400 people in a stylish environment designed by Rem Koolhaas/OMA.

It was unbelievable and completely completely perfect. The two things that stood out were the front desk staff — Amondi was a dream come true with a heart of gold and moved mountains to assist us. And also the breakfast. OH MY GOSH ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR. Best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel, in a restaurant, in my house, on a cruise ship — ANYWHERE. Pure perfection and worth every penny. I am now loyal to this hotel brand.

Again one of my better choices, and thrilled to have had the opportunity to stay here. Location was prime, and walkable/bikeable to everywhere I wanted to go. The area was busy, however not chaotic. The restaurant on site had wonderful and artsy/interesting choices for both food & beverage. I though the pricing was a little steep, but the portions were also more than I had expected. The overall design of the rooms and general property was eye catching and energizing, without compromising ease and comfort. Suitable for solo travelers, business travelers, and families. The staff I met were all kind and helpful, offering a high level of service standard.

Very good. Nice hotel, location in a smart area very quiet though the metro or tram seems to go underneath which is quite loud first and last thing at night. There’s a food hall just opposite with a range of options.
Food options in the hotel only open until 9.30 and no room service option after that.
Excellent views from the terrace on the 7th floor.

We had a wonderful stay at Nhow. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel and bar had a vibrant atmosphere, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The sauna was a highlight of our visit—be sure to reserve a slot at reception to enjoy it. The only drawback was the beds, as the mattresses were sensitive to movement, which disrupted our sleep at times. Overall, a fantastic experience with just a small area for improvement.

Nice hotel but shower terrible

I liked the hotel, it is clean, has everything that I needed except for a shower. I will not stay there again because of the shower. It’s a bathtub and it is way too high from the floor. I was honestly simply afraid when entering and leaving the shower. Nothing to hold on to.

Extremely close to the Holland America cruise terminal in Rotterdam. Staff is exceptional. Restaurant has a somewhat limited menu, but varied and what we had was quite good. The bedroom is Euro style, meaning modern and clean with some quirks (for US travellers) - all EU power outlets and a semi transparent glass between bedroom and bathroom (let's not be modest). The mattress (king) was too soft for us (seniors). The breakfast was a buffet which was also quite good and varied to meet many tastes. All in all it was a good experience and for those on a Holland America cruise, a short walk to the terminal. The convenience far outweighed any of the noted issues, but hopefully reading this you will appreciate the minor inconveniences versus the benefits. Again, the staff went out of their way to try and accommodate our needs as US centric as they may have been.

Very nice, comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It is conveniently located for entry to the cruise terminal. My only complaint is the glass wall to the loo. It’s quite uncomfortable to shower and use the toilet with someone else in the room, and also the glass does not keep light from the loo from lighting the bedroom.

fell far short of my previous experiences

I was disappointed with a few things during my latest stay. The shower didn't drain well and the room looked and felt battered with damages and dents. The service at Bar 1 was languid at best with the kitchen competing equally to be the slowest around. Staff were pleasant but that can't gloss over the overall drag. It took 3 phone calls, 2 online messages and finally going down to the reception to request some amenities for the room. I get that its busy establishment but when ever I approached the staff they didn't seem busy so I can't quite understand the reasons that may have caused the slow service and the lack of responsiveness to guest requests. You can do better, nhow!

Amazing hotel, right beside Rotterdam Cruise port! Nice sized modern room.. we had a view of river. Great breakfast on 7th floor with outdoor patio where you can smoke too. Some good eating establishments within 5 min walk. Local transit close by.

We had difficulty when we first arrived. We were very early but had requested an early check in. No rooms were available until noon and then we had to pay 59 euros to get a room at noon or sit in the lobby for another 3 hours.

Overall it is a very good hotel. I liked it. And the staff are great. The two key things which could be improved are- la proper restaurant. You can eat in the bar, but it is not the same. Secondly, the rooms are quite dark. There is plenty of ambient lighting, but not enough. I had to read the instructions for using the in room safe with the aid of the torch on my mobile phone!

Great Hotel, great location, great breakfast....only downside for me was there was not enough light in the room....even with all of the lights on, the light is very dim.

The hotel and staff were excellent, the bar on the 7th floor I think it was had wonderful views of Rotterdam, there is a tram station 5 min from the hotel that will take you straight into the city. When I go back to Rotterdam, this is where I will be staying.

Too cold

The hotel room was beautiful, location great, not far from central, a 5-10 min drive, 35 min walk. However the room was very cold, 2 members of staff came up to check the heating, first time I was told room would take 20 min to heat up, second member of staff said it could take up to an hour. I wanted them to change my room, I was offered a spare blanket which I refused, considering how much I paid, the least I could expect was for the room to be warm. One of the male employees was rude, eventually I had my room changed, this one was exactly the same as the last. In their defence I was provided with a portable heater.

I loved how close it was to the New Luxor Theatre. Had great food options nearby. The hotel was clean, tidy and had a great free drink policy if you were eco friendly.

Photos deceiving, not worth the money

First of all the photos show the room to be a good size - not so! The weird glass around the bath/shower is tacky - looks ok on photos but not in real life. The shower over the bath was awful - lack of pressure and after the shower there was a lot of water on the floor. The whole bathroom looked very basic compared to the photos. Weak hair dryer.

The photos showed a rooftop terrace - apparently that was another of their hotels - again, deceiving.

One good thing was the service - very helpful, spoke English and very responsive to my email about leaving an item behind.

Amazing hotel, very friendly staff, I got a spacious room with a great view of the riverfront. Very good buffet breakfast with delicious variety of food. There is a metro station just in front of the hotel which made the commute quite easy. I’ll definitely come back to this hotel.

Great combination between a fancy luxory hotel with a nice cool and young twist, great service. Loved the stay there, staff is awesome and helpful, breakfast is great and the bar is very nice too. I also loved their - \"green option\" in ehich you can give up the room cleaning service and get a free drink at the bar in return.
Only thing I would improve is the shower, which is built in a way that does not allow the water to drain well, and the transparent door to the shower which in the night sometimes is easy to bump in.

Nhow the best stay in Rotterdam

Loved it. Worth paying for the Erasmus bridge view. Near metro. Staff were great alerting us to the short notice rail strike and arranging a taxi to schiphol.

Hotel was in a great location lovely welcoming staff and comfy furnishings in the standard room.

I asked for a quiet room but I had trouble sleeping because of the noisy aircon and noisy fridge plus street noise. It is a city centre hotel so that’s to be expected but I thought the windows would be more noise insulated. I was on the top floor.

The aircon wasn’t very easy to use either and I got quite hot overnight.

Great location for the main tourist parts either by a 10 minute walk or using the Tram or metro across the road . Rooms lovely and comfortable . Outside terrace a welcome place to sit looking over the bridge . Breakfast worth including in your package otherwise €25 a head.
We hired a self drive boat and took a picnic . Supermarket 5 minutes from hotel to purchase everything g you will need. Mini fridge in room to keep things fresh helped with the leftovers .

A fantastic hotel in a great location - right by the water, stunning views from the terrace bar, several eating and drinking options nearby (Hotel New York, Fenix Food Factory and area), a mini supermarket in next street and a 2 min walk to the nearest metro. Excellent base for exploring Rotterdam!

This is a modern property boasting wonderful views of the Erasmus Bridge. And the reception is colourful and fun.
However, get behind that and it is in fact quite basic. The room was concrete with hard floors. The bed was hard. The room furniture was masculine and tired. There was a table lamp which, on a bad night, one could have impailed themselves on. Too many sharp edges.
The chairs - well one was huge but totally unsuitable for relaxing. The pudding was worn. The other was more like a stool with no back support.
The tv was in a shiny case so always reflected the lights, and we couldn’t get a good signal. Also, we were unable to plug in our own stick to watch our choice of programmes.
The flooring between the bedroom and bathroom had a sharp ridge which I hurt my foot on. The coffee making facilities were minimal. Tiny cups. Barely sufficient cream and sugar provided. The tea bags were ‘luxury’ but not ‘tea’ and the cups were so small plus there was no milk. Not really enough electric plugs in the right places.
Yes, the view was stunning, but we also needed to be comfortable - which we were not.
The breakfast was good with so much choice spread around that we’d walked a mile before going out for the day.
The evening restaurant should not really be called this as it didn’t serve a proper meal. It was basic furniture, no soft touches. The food was more like sharing snacks. And quite expensive.
If we return to Rotterdam we would not return to this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are beyond helpful and kind. The bar manager would not let us sit out on the terrace one afternoon even though we were patrons of the hotel, We want to sit out on the terrace and enjoy our cheese we had bought but they wouldn’t let us. The food is what leaves a lot to be desired. But I cannot say enough about the front desk staff who are just so very nice and kind.

The hotel is modern and clean but there is limited choice for breakfast in the area if you don't want to eat in the hotel (and I didn't as I considered it very poor value for money).

Also due to the location it is very noisy at night with a lot of traffic/trams using the main Erasmus Bridge

Big Room, Comfortable Bed

Lovely big room and comfortable bed. Great bar with amazing view over Erasmus bridge and Rotterdam.
The bathroom in room was huge, but you could feel a little exposed if not sharing with someone you are not to close too. The shower was a little disappointing, worked fine but not particularly powerful and just a standard size showerhead, but maybe this was down to the eco ethos of the hotel.

Best for the view

This is the hotel you choose if you want the best view in Rotterdam, ie. the view of the Erasmus Bridge. Architecturally, it's quite a marvel of its own and location is great.
Modern decor with just a little tired furniture. The rooms did not provide bathrobes which would have been helpful and lighting is a little sparse.
Pleasant staff throughout the property.
Breakfast buffet not worth the original price, take it only if you're offered a discounted price, otherwise I would suggest local cafes.
