The only draw back is absence of the elevator. I have to walk up about 38 steps each time to my 2nd floor room. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The place is wonderful and cozy. I love it :)

Room is in the attic so half of the room you cant stand up. Also nowhere it was nentioned that there is no elecator and the stairs are curling and very hard to carry the laggage.. totally not worth the orice paid for 1 night.

We had a lovely room under the eves. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is easy access to public toilets and we were able to walk to the port in about 20 minutes.
The only issue was hauling our heavy suitcases up two steep flights of stairs. So thankful for the staff who helped us.

Clean, comfortable and well located hotel. The staff (I think I met the owners) were very helpful and welcoming, for e.g. it was raining heavily and they let me borrow a personal umbrella and suggested restaurants for dinner.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern. It was very clean throughout. This hotel is excellent value for money considering its cleanliness and location.
My only criticism is not the fault of the hotel but other guests, who were noisy in the corridors late at night. Some form of noise insulator/soundproofing under the gap under my bedroom door might have helped quieten noise from the corridor. But overall this a minor quibble from an excellent stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall our stay was fine. The staff were all lovely and welcoming and we were able to store our bags in the hotel after check out which was a plus. One of the rooms smelt of cigarettes and as the room was facing a road it wasn’t an option to open the window at night due to noise. The showers in both rooms lacked any water pressure.

I was not very satisfied with the condition of the accommodation in this hotel. My room was extremely noisy as the main window was broken and not closing properly and I could hear all of the traffic from the street. When I told the Receptionist on check out she really didn't seem bothered about it. The shower also didn't work properly and there was no hot water. I would not recommend this and it is very overpriced for the standard of room you get.

Terrible people and property. Traveled from California to Netherlands about 15 plus hrs of travel. They sold my room, lied to me and said it had been canceled request. But then told me they have one room left for more than double the original price! Additional disrespectful experience.. Don’t book here!!!!!!!!!

We arrived due to cancellation of our train after 10 p.m. and informed the hotel accordingly - it was no problem to deposit the keys in their safes. As the information via Expedia didn't come through the hotel doublechecked with us per phone and sent us directly the instruction how we get in the hotel and open the safes.

Hotel Light is a fine place for a short stay; conveniently located and nice employees.
Our room had no windows so it felt a bit claustrophobic; the only chair was shaky, the shower cabin was loose and the hand washing basin drained very slowly. I told the reception twice but they didn´t do anything.

After a brisk 15 minute walk from Rotterdam Centraal Railway Station, I easily found Hotel Light on a main street.
The hotel has a modern feel and reception, breakfast room and lounges where airy. The staff were polite and friendly and spoke good English. My room was upon the first floor, overlooking the main street. The room was clean, no wardrobes but clothes could be hung upon the walls, as is the modern way. The bathroom was immaculate, the shower was powerful with lots of hot water, clean towels supplied. Although myself I did not eat breakfast I saw many people do so. My stay was for five nights, I was alone, the double bed was comfortable and made up every day. I tried sleeping with the window open but the road noise was a distraction to sleep, however with the window shoot only a feint sound of city life could be heard, and the air conditioning unit kept the room cool. It was overall, handy, clean with helpful staff. Perfect for my short stay.

This hotel is really lovely. I was really surprised how modern and clean it was for the price. It exceeded all my expectations. The service was good and Wifi was great. However, there were no elevators, small spiral stair cases, if you have luggage it will be problem. The location was ok, if you do not mind walking 15 mins to the Rotterdam central station, there is a tram that stops one block away.The closest metro station in 7 mins away. Highly recommend if you have a lot of luggage. There are a lot places to eat within a 5 mins walking distance. Overall, i enjoyed my stay and first time in Rotterdam.

Friendly and helpful staff... the hotel doesn't have elevator and the receptionist help us to carry our luggage upstairs. The staff did tell us about the water leak of the air-conditioning and couldn't get it fix till the next day so we hear water drops all night. Other then that, it was a nice hotel to stay.

Great hotel about 10 minutes from the harbour and 5 minutes from the metro although buses run closer. 5 minutes walk from museumpark so really well placed for Boijmans and others. Nice rooms, very helpful & friendly staff. Well priced, worth having breakfast too; a nice range of food both hot and cold. The stairs are steep though so if you have mobility issues then you might want to enquire before booking.

Everything's simple, tidy and clean. There're some nice restaurants around. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially like the self-help laundry service, which is free of charge, and indeed such service is not common to hotels in Rotterdam. Common areas are very comfort for a cup of coffee or drinks. There's a well equipped kitchen for those who are fond of cooking.

I loved my stay at Hotel Light. The staff made it exceptionally welcoming, and were always great for recommendations, tea, or a friendly chat. I appreciated the use of the well equipped kitchen and the ability to do laundry. The common area, which also had a coffee bar, was a great place to wind down or catch up on work in the evening. The rooms were bright and homey, and it was in a good location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rotterdam, and I will be staying with them if I return.

El internet está pésimo, no hay un área en donde puedas sentarte a responder correos, no tienen personal que te ayude, si necesitas dejar tu equipaje antes de las 3pm, tienes que ir a otro hotel a que lo guarden. Die Unterkunft ist ca einen Kilometer vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. In der Nähe gibt es ein lebendiges Viertel mit zahlreichen Kneipen und Cafes. Es gab Zimmerservice, was wir gar nicht erwartet hatten.
Es war wegen des Verkehrslärmes sehr laut im Zimmer. Es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl, nur eine steile Treppe, die in die oberen Stockwerke führet.

Ik heb hier niet een fijne ervaring gehad. Het personeel was niet onvriendelijk, maar ook niet gastvrij. Receptioniste gaf geen uitleg over de faciliteiten, huisregels of wat dan ook, was ook bijna vergeten de kamersleutel te overhandigen. Er is geen lift aanwezig en parkeren op straat is enorm prijzig. Handdoeken in het hotel waren versleten en het bed was niet comfortabel. Enige positieve wat ik kan zeggen is dat het redelijk dichtbij het centrum ligt met de auto.
