There was a short delay in our room becoming available. Room was a good space but on of the bedside lights was broken. It would have been better to have sachets of coffee and tea in the room rather than just tea, as I had the keep going into the kitchen each time I wanted a coffee. Location was good. Dining area was being renovated so we had packed breakfast provided. The mini croissants were always hard and not very flavoursome. Staff were generally helpful but there was an occasion where the desk was left unmanned for a time and no idea where the concierge had gone or when they would be back. A new guest had arrived whilst I was waiting and I left them there.

No facilities within the complex, only rooms. No restaurant, lounge area or recreational hub.
Coffee sachets not provided in rooms.
TV network is extremely slow and severely outdated.
Location is convenient and my stay was quiet.

Comfy, No-Frills Stay in the Heart of Rotterdam

Booked this hotel pretty last minute as most other options were super expensive due to the North Sea Jazz festival or had terrible reviews. This wasn't cheap but it wasn't extortionate. It's approximately 15mins walk from Rotterdam Centraal station and most other amenities so pretty convenient and easy to get around town from.

Looks a bit gritty from the outside but I'd say that's just Rotterdam's aesthetic; a good city with grit. Very down to earth; not for those seeking glamour. The room I was in was comfortable. Was quite small though. I think 2 people in that room would be a struggle. The bathroom was very clean as was the bed linen. The floor could've been cleaner. The pillows were very uncomfortable as they were square and plump like sofa cushions which didn't make for great sleep.

The staff, which were many over the 3 days I stayed were friendly and receptive.

Would I stay again? Yes. Great location, nice staff, gritty but clean and budget-friendly.

Great location and friendly staff, room was compact but had a TV with English channels and a kettle. There isn’t a fridge. The bathroom is big and shower etc were good. We had an issue in that the catch on the window broke on our first day, someone came to look at it but it wasn’t repaired for the duration of our visit. Possibly a hotel for a younger clientele.

This hotel was absolutely difficult to deal with. I accidentally booked the wrong night & even with 6 weeks notice they were difficult about changing it as it was a non-refundable rate. As a result they took my money but never accommodated me. I won’t ever be staying with them as they were a source of considerable stress.

Had a great stay - clean, quiet rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is available for an additional cost, while tea and coffee are complimentary. The bathroom was a good size, with a small glass divider that helped keep water contained. Great location, and we were able to rent bicycles there and explore most of Rotterdam in 24 hours! Everything was as described in the listing.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. The wifi was off and never reappeared. Although it did not need it, the room was not cleaned every day.
It was very convenient for Rotterdam Central Station - easy walking distance. 30 minutes walk to the Erasmus Bridge. 15 minutes walk to numerous restaurants. Decent local bars/restaurants 3 minutes walk.

If you trying solo or as a couple and need a good place to stay I would recommend staying here. The outside meant to look trendy but I think it takes away of what is on offer inside. The rooms are great and the price per night is as excellent when I compared to other places to stay at the time. Only down point was WiFi was not working in the rooms which wasn’t great but once that is fixed I would have given it 5 stars in everything

The hotel had a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff were very friendly and always greeted us with a smile (we even got compliments from one of the lovely ladies as we headed out for the evening, which was very kind!). The beds were super comfortable and the room was clean. We also really appreciated the free tea and especially coffee available all day in the cafeteria.

That said, we stayed in room 602, and there were a few issues: only one power socket worked, which was quite inconvenient. The window let in cold air, and there was a loud noise we couldn’t figure out and turn off until the next day, which turned out to be the air con.
Also, the in-room tea didn’t come with milk or sugar and it would have been helpful to have two extra towels provided since it was a double room.

Overall, a pleasant stay with just a few small things that could be improved. I would recommend/stay here again.

We had the only room with a balcony which was great as the aircon in the room wasn't working and we were able to sit on the balcony which was cooler than sitting in the room. The room is on a corner so gets a lot of sun although the curtains helped keep some of the heat out.
Rotterdam Centraal Railway Station was about a 10 minute walk away. There is a convenience store around the corner and a few Restaurants nearby.

We had a lovely welcome and you couldn’t fault the service at the desk. The room was basic which was fine - it had what we needed. Unfortunately the aircon didn’t work very well, the room had large windows and the sun was streaming in so it was far too hot. We could have dealt with that as we spent very little time in the room. It was somewhere to sleep whilst we explored the city. However on the floor above us there was a group of very noisy people partying into the night as well as an irate guest who kept banging on the walls and shouting ‘shut up’ so a fairly disturbed night. This may have been a one off and it was a shame as our initial impressions were really positive.

What I didn't like is the last check-in time (Expedia was saying that the check-in is at 3pm but it was actually at 4pm, which is quite late)

Hotel was short walk from the main station which was main reason for booking it and a good price. But the lifts were not great with the left hand one being slightly odd in how it functioned. As it was part hostel think the staff and reception had more of a party vibe yhan we wanted. Also a weird noise kekp me awake on the second night( possibly a vent type noise) so on the whole not best place to stay

The staff was friendly, however there were so many aspects in bad conditions. Some of them are: 1)elevator not working for one floor, 2)The room door didn't close properly 3) the left nightstand was fully broken, 4) the pillows were uncomfortable, and the most annoying thing 5) there was a led light blinking all night long on the air contidioner that was not possible to cover or stop

Hotel looks more rundown in person than it does on the pictures which only shows the rooms. The picture of the rooms are accurate, the corridors and building looks more like a university halls which needs renovation. The service was excellent and location great 5/10 minutes from both the train station and Rotterdam centre. If not expecting the most modern hotel this would work for you

Dank, unbelievably hot, very old hotel thats been renamed, (used to be Days Inn) but not repaired. The AirCon doesn't work and the windows open just enough to let mosquitoes in. Somehow, it's about 10 degrees hotter in the hotel than it is outside. I couldnt sleep and I'd already spent too much to just go somewhere else. After 3 nights, I was sleepless and covered in bug bites. Do yourself a favor a stay literally next door at A&O hostel; same experience, about 90% of the price. Total waste of money. How tf this has good reviews, I have no idea.

Got everything I needed but refridge

I was looking for budget hotel for work trip. And after pandemic all the reviews seemed outdated. I read this hotel has not enough parking area (which I dont need) and excellent breakfast (which I needed!).

There are; desk with two chairs enough working space, small but enough wardrobe & restroom, windows to have fresh air, enough distance for a walk to central/metro station, simple but everything breakfast buffet, and so kind reception! Ther are not; refridge, complimentary water or very good safety.

I had to change my room (from corner king to king) but both were good enough with that budget.

Plus this area is a bit “dark” so not recommended for sole female traveler.

There was a sewer smell from the bathroom on occasion. Also, the air-conditioner was noisy in the room. I had an intermittent \"growling\" sound that was annoying. Close to Rotterdam Central station and the downtown center.

Breakfast had excellent choice and high quality. Great that was able to have breakfast through to 1100 on weekdays. Excellent value for city centre hotel. Only 5 minutes from central station. Well located, close to train station

This is a bigger property than I am used to in Europe; it is very busy and you may need to wait to check in. This being said, the staff are very friendly and you can tell are working hard to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. It is conveniently located not too far from the Centraal train station and you can also walk to the main sites fairly easily. It looked like it might be a bit sketchy at night so I did not stay out late. The room was very quiet facing the back with plenty of sun. A lot of furniture made it a bit tight but provided the extra comfort of a table. I would have liked the option of a do not disturb sign but there was none. You have to watch the AC because mine continually went to 30C when you pulled out the room key so you had to manually change it. Not many restaurants or stores close by. Breakfast was plentiful and you could have your eggs made to your liking fresh. Check out was seamless. Property is a bit dated but if you are staying for only a few nights, I would recommend. Interesting city!

Its a no fuss property. Good to stay for a night or two. The room wasn't very clean and the service at the reception was slow but maybe that was because we checked in at midnight.
There was nowhere to get some water. After it finished in the vending machine, the person at the teception couldnt help us out either.

The location is good if you arrive/depart from the Central station. However, the pillows and blanket were huge, bulky and heavy and I could not sleep well due to that.
The room did not have a fridge. Shampoo, conditioner and slippers were missing as well, which added to the inconvenience.
The breakfast was only served from 8 a.m., which was too late for my check out time and generally relative to other hotels.

We found the location excellent. On a main street easily walkable to many sites - Koopgroot shopping area, Maritime Museum, Marketplace, gothic cathedral. Staff were super friendly and always took a moment to ask if they could do anything else for us.

An Ice Hotel for January

I booked two rooms for my family during a recent visit to the city. The heating didn't function in one of the rooms (603) leading to a cold night's sleep.
Breakfast was fine. The satellite TV system requires the use of two remote controls, which is not ideal
The hotel does not have a bar so it does not have a welcoming buzz. For the cost, the hotel was fine though my wife was less than impressed

We loved our stay at this hotel, our room was clean, nice and with a great view! Our room was on the 8th floor so we enjoyed the lovely view. The hotel is very close to the city centre. I do not know about the breakfast as we did not have it at the hotel. There is underground parking but they charge for it – 19 euros per night (we did not know that is chargeable). Other than that everything was amazing, I would definitely stay there again next time in Rotterdam.
