The room was clean and well maintained. We experienced 27 degree weather in June and it was nice that there was a ceiling fan in the room since there was no air-conditioning.
We would have liked to experience the original main building however we were provided a room in a separate building at the rear.
A bonus to have breakfast included. Beautiful town and reasonably close to the train station.

The property was close to the central area of the city which was great, no need for using transport as everything was within walking distance.

The property did not have air conditioning in the room and the weather was hot/humid. The fan was unsatisfactory for cooling the room so it became uncomfortable for sleeping or resting.

A lift is needed for reaching the upper floor of the separate block. These are accessed by wooden outside stairs, however for individuals with mobility issues that is a problem.

The hotel is old and tired and could do with a freshen up. My room was large but had old decor and very light curtains. There wasn't a towel so nowhere to hang a wet towel. It did have two nice arm chairs though and the bed was comfy.

We had a one night stay in Dordrecht. This hotel was perfect, great location, very quiet and lovely and clean. Breakfast was very good, I had scrambled eggs which were delicious. I would most definitely stay here again.

3 star hotel. Traditional. We had a spacious room(3 windows) overlooking busy waterway. Recently renovated bathroom en suite. How marvellous to have free car parking! Good breakfast served to our table.
10 minute walk to marina and centrum where there are plenty of good places to eat and drink.

Lovely historical hotel

Lovely old building with plenty of history. Room on 1st floor overlooking the water. Tea and coffee makers in room, very spacious. Even Dressing gowns and slippers and toiletries.
No good available on Monday nights but told off a restaurant near by. Breakfast very good. Staff exceptional. Short walk to oldtown. Safe car parking at rear of hotel.

Dont go to this hotel. My wife and daughter checked in for I was late and their room was on the 4th floor and they have NO elevators and NO one to help you with your suitcases. How can a hotel these days have no to help you with your stuff. I would not go there again. There are a lot of better hotels and cheaper in Dordrecht

Older building. Clean and comfortable. No food service except breakfast. Staff very helpful and attentive. No elevator for those needing assist.
Parking in rear of building is reserved for hotel and private residents.
Super market approximately one city block away. Nearest restaurant/pub is Merz approximately 20 minutes walk away from hotel.
Hotel is on a narrow, busy street but there is a bus lane in front for quick check in if you’re driving.

It's only a three star hotel.
It is definitely too expensive for what it is.
More than 160 Euros a night/room it's quite expensive.
I know, around Amsterdam and Rotterdam all is expensive, but I think it should not be like this. Or give at least more service to reach 4-5 Stars.
For the actual price, Mnimum I would expect to get some bottles of free of charge drinking water into the rooms. Would be nice an elevator to reach the top flor. Would be nice to get a sign on the main road guiding to the parking spot, which is behind the property. On arrival, I was told the hotel sends an Email explaining this detail, but I have not received this famouse email or it entered spam or simply I didn't notice that you send it to me.
Breakfast was good. Simple buffet, but good.

Comfortable stay for cyclists.

We paid extra for a superior room with Nespresso machine, 2 comfortable chairs and a balcony with chairs and table for 2 nights. Well worth the extra- safe, undercover storage for our two bicycles. Nice little village, good restaurants.

Nice venue with excellent price-quality ratio

This is a nice hotel very near the center of Dordrecht. We liked our stay very much. The room was clean and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent. Free parking was much appreciated by us. We slept in the separate additional building at the back side, it was very quite despite being in the city. The only small critical note is the size of the 2-person bed, a bit on the small side. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice friendly hotel good local Amenities!

Nice old property that used to be owned by a famous Durch painter, Frans Lebret. We were placed in the attic room with was a little old fashioned but totally adequate and functional. The beds were comfortable and the room alhad plentybof space. There is adequate parking at the rear of the property located down a lane on the right hand side of the hotel. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. Small local town in walking distance 5-7 mins with plenty of food options. We had a nice stay and well rested. I would recommed this hotel if in this locality.

Quaint hotel near old town Dordrecht

We really enjoyed our stay in Dordrecht! The hotel is in an historic building near the center of the old town. We were able to walk everywhere. The room was comfortable and the service was very good. There is no elevator, but that was expected of a building more than a century old.

No elevator and, when we arrived hot and exhausted, the lady in charge wasn’t up to helping us up two flights with our luggage. That was the ONLY drawback at this hotel. The cleaning ladies carried our luggage down the stairs when we left a few days later.

Our room had a fridge and a sofa / coffee table. The fascinating nautical theme included a model ship, maritime pictures, storm lantern, and many knickknacks and doodads which I can’t remember.

The main hall downstairs and the large landings between stairs had antique type furnishings, and at one stair landing there was a colourful stained glass window of a town scenery.

We ate breakfast in the very inviting back garden, where patio tables and chairs were situated on green carpeting under the pine trees with large pots of colourful hydrangea flowers nearby. Olaf, who served our breakfasts, called us by name and was very attentive to our needs. There was always a basket full of assorted breads and buns, as well as the main breakfast.

Although the bus goes right by the door, Olaf also drove us to the train station the day we left so we wouldn’t have to haul luggage any distance.

The town was quaint and we enjoyed our visit. The hotel staff were attentive, helpful and prepared a delicious breakfast! We would stay again if ever in the area.

Good location.

The hotel is at the edge of Dordrecht but you can walk to center in a few minutes.
It is a charming building with loads of old and well kept features.
Rooms are big and have all the amenities needed.
Pillows are a let down as they were extremely hard. Woke up couple of times in the night with neck pain. Ended up using the pillow from the couch as a replacement.
That said.....the room was very quiet as it was a garden room and on the top floor.
The bar downstairs was beautiful.
Free parking and breakfast were a bonus.
The breakfast was one of the best in Holland as we were offered a HOT breakfast option as well as the usual one.
Service was pleasant.
I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Dordrecht

This is a great 3-star hotel. Located in the former mansion of the Dutch painter Frans Lebret, the feeling of the hotel is one of former grandeur. Paintings by the former resident hang prominently in the breakfast room and the history of the building can be felt and seen as where ever one turns. Our room was located in the old mansion, though there is a later extension that probably has more modern rooms. Being located in the main house, the ceilings were very high and the room was very spacious with an en suite bathroom. With free wifi, a late model flat-screen tv and a little bar downstairs, most travelers looking for a welcoming spot won't go wrong here.
It's an easy walk to some of the main sights of Dordrecht, including the main church and the end/beginning of the longest shopping street in the Netherlands (according to some sources). Plenty of restaurants, but be sure to book on Friday and Saturday. A special plug for Finn's! A great spot not too far from the hotel. If you're not looking for posh, but just a decent place with pleasant hosts, give the Hotel Dordrecht a try.

exactly what we were looking for regarding ambiance. We were two floors up, no elevator, so a bit of a challenge but oh so worth it. Receptionist was great, gave us a history lesson on not just the former use of the building but about the city as well. The gentleman in charge of the wonderful breakfast could however be a bit (a lot) more friendly, a smile would go a long way. Location is great, walked from the train station to the hotel in about 10 minutes and about the same to the center of town. A beautiful city with a great history.
Would definitely use this hotel again.

Ideal for a short break

Located within a 20 minutes walk from the railway station. About a 10 minutes walk from the shops. Front of the hotel over looking the river.
Room for one was ok. It was clean. Even though it was quite warm outside the room was cool. The only downside I would government it is that the bathroom was a bit cramped. It has all the facilities but cramped. Breakfast was a good selection of of cooked eggs and bacon or continental breakfast.

hotel is fine, but every time i stay there they put me in the back building, which is ok, but just not the beautiful old building one thinks of as the Hotel Dordrecht. Also, there is no reception; usually one can find someone to help or answer a question (usually by looking in the kitchen) but not at reception office.

This hotel is an old mansion, beautiful tall ceilings, windows, doors etc. It is walking distance to the old town. Around the corner are two supermarkets. The town is charming, has some nice stores not found everywhere and lots of places to eat or have coffee. Staff was attentive and helpful. We stayed in the modern addition. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is within easy walking distance to the centre of Dordrecht, ferry, bus and trains are all close by. We would definitely stay here again, the room was very clean and comfortable, not huge but ample space. Staff were all very helpful, friendly and pleasant.

Pleasant place, and helpful staff. Simple place, no reception area, rooms were painted brick walls - but they have concentrated on the areas that matter - very comfy bed, a nice looking bar in the hotel (didn't get a chance to investigate), and a nice breakfast...
Also a functional desk to work at in the room, and a mini-bar for when you'd finished.

Zeer gedateerde inrichting (jaren 90). Het hoofdgebouw op zich is fraai. De dependance is een sfeerloos gebouw. Het contrast kan bijna niet groter zijn. De kamers in de dependance zijn ongezellig en ontzettend gehorig. Naar mijn mening is de prijs veel te hoog.
Op de site staan alleen foto’s van de superior kamers in het hoofdgebouw! Dat zegt genoeg.
