Windows in the room cannot be opened, so “fresh” air is delivered only via AC, which is turning on automatically with a very bright light. My son (5 y o) had really issues with sleeping because of that. The fridge in the room did not work, we spent 10 days in this hotel with the kid, so broken fridge was as an issue. They tried to repair it twice, what did not help. The last day we did not have a hot water in our room, the staff allowed us to use the shower in another room.. but all together the impression from the hotel is so-so

I had a good one-night stay at the hotel. I was extremely tired when I checked in and was easily able to fall asleep and stay asleep. The hallways were quiet and the room was very comfortable. The wifi worked well, the bathroom was nicely stocked and clean.

They also didn't provide towels for the 4 of us (only 2).

We had to request toilet paper because there was only one single roll already in use in the toilet!
Next day housekeeping didn't took the trash away when cleaning the room what you would expect as a basic thing and it was a small bin so really annoying as was already full.
They don't have many places to hang things, specially towels in the bathroom, we squeezed ours on the only place there was and housekeeping came and folded our used towels. I don't know if they meant to pretend to give us new towels but even if they didn't I didn't like they dealt with our used towels and folded it all together to put in a shelf.

There was renovation work going on and two lifts were broken making long wait times if you are on a higher floor.

Hotel itself is nice, out of town so bare in mind a shirt drive to centre. Stayed here on the 29th May 2022 for one night. Iv still not received my deposit back yet, not impressed. My safe didn't work in my room so I kindly asked the lady at reception to look after our passports for the night whilst we were out. She took the passport and apologised for the broken safe and said she will let the other staff know where she has put them etc. As we came back in after going out for dinner know one was told were they were kept or any knowledge of them as she had gone home after her shift. Very alarming as we had to check out the hotel by 9am which we couldn't as in the morning no one had a clue or could even get hold of this lady.

Great hotel suited if using car. Parking was quite cheap and pay directly at check in. Room was comfy for a family 4 with sofa bed. Nice view from top floors. Large bath as well. The hotel is equipped with a nice fitness room with some machines including a large treadmill, but no free weighta. Breakfast was a big surprise (one of the best we had) quite varied. They cater for your needs so don't shy to ask. Staff was very friendly. They have a small children room in the lobby with books, some toys and an Xbox. Only negative of hotel

I stayed with my family including three children for two days, and it was a lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms were beautiful. I had forgotten my iron at home so asked the reception and within 5 minutes an iron and ironing board was brought up to my room. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and i managed to get rooms next to each other which was great. In terms of location, once i found the route from the centre it was quick and easy to get from the town to the hotel, as it was a short walk from the train station. I would definately recommend this hotel and would stay here again when i return. I didnt eat in the hotel so cant comment on the food there.

The carpet in the room had seen better days, but wasn't terrible, but was the part of the hotel that was lower quality then the rest of the hotel. The main thing I was happy was I booked the wrong Novotel and when I called Expedia - the man dealt with my issue and arranged with the hotel to swap it without penalty and didn’t add any charge.
