Really nice place to stay. It’s clean and staff are friendly. Close to the cheonjiyeon and jeongbang falls and market. I would stay here again.

Hotel was located in a good area of Seogwipo. Convenient parking on site. Morning breakfast was good. Across the street from ShinShin Hotel Seogwipo so I got confused initially. Staff at both desks were pretty curt and rude. Not the most helpful. Good restaurants and some sites in walking distance. Laundry in room was nice to have, but would be helpful to have a drying rack on site as there is no washer. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Would stay again.

We arrived at 11ish pm to check in and the receptionist struggled to find our booking despite us showing the hotels.com booking reference within the Hotels.com app and separate email confirmation. This went on for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, we requested to park our car at the garage first while she continued looking for our booking to get us checked in. Upon returning, there was no progress and the receptionist was still not able to pull up our booking to check us in. After another 10 minutes, a 2nd receptionist came (presumably the manager), and asked to see the booking reference and also had trouble finding our booking. After another round of waiting, we finally got our room key. In total, it took us around 45 minutes to check in.
In terms of the room, the furnishings were old and worn but at least it is spacious.
Overall, I would say that the pictures are not reflective of the current condition of the room and I would not recommend staying here.

The room is a good size, but definitely not like what's in the photos (little more worn down). It's nice that they give you new towels and water everyday even when you don't do room cleaning, by hanging the stuff on the doorknob. Outside hallways are old and dingy. Glad that there's a 7-eleven convenient store at the hotel too.

The hotel is in need of some serious maintenance and accommodation updates. While the room was spacious, the toilet failed to operate if power is not provided to the stall. This resulted in sewer gasses being allowed to flow back into the room.
The shower water system was falling off the wall.
The sink was blocked with hair and gunk- front desk notified, no action taken/noticed.
Breakfast was decent; however, hot items were not hot.

It was a very nice location. The room I had was spacious and very nicely decorated and well equipped with full size fridge, dining/work table, nice shower etc. Added bonus is there a legit massage place across the street that was a life saver after days of hiking etc.

The photos made the property seem far nicer than it actually was. The curtains in the room were so dusty. The air conditioning wasn’t working at all. There is no concierge, only the two ladies at the reception who were not very helpful. There are no restaurants in the area that open until after 5pm which wouldn’t ordinarily be a problem except that the hotel is around the corner from some strip clubs so if you are traveling with children, it does not seem safe at all. Furthermore, the hotel’s only restaurant serves only breakfast so eating out of the hotel is necessary. I would definitely not take a family there. It is definitely a no-frills place. We chose it because it was close to the water but this is not a four star hotel by any stretch of the imagination and it was not worth the money we paid.

Super spacious room with great Ocean View. The washing machine inside the room came in handy as we were able to wash our clothes when needed. If only there is a small microwave oven to allow us to heat up our food, that would have been perfect. Location wise, it is walking distance to shopping street, the port and beach, but be prepared to walk up a gradual slope as the hotel is located up hill from the beach/port. Whole building looks a little run down but the room is still decent. House keeping needs to be improved as there were no bath towels provided and we had to ask for them. One of the bath towels given had a hole in it. The towels were taken to wash and were never replaced.

The hotel was nice; needs a little love but I liked it. Great Chinese restaurant downstairs. Awesome cafe steps outside the door (Grey Owl) and an amazing grill restaurant 5 minutes away (Golden Bow). The property isn’t for the bougie traveler but it does have a lot to offer. Conveniently located near attractions. Fun neighborhood to explore. The store keepers in the area are very friendly. Hotels are a place to lay my head when I’m out exploring a new city so it was okay.

Don't trust those nice images on the website about this hotel. In reality its interior is run down and requires substantial refurbishment throughout. Rooms are big, but furniture very old. On the first day maid did not clean our room and when I asked why, she replied that she did not have a key... even though she must have a master key to each room. On the second day, I did not see her, but she only changed towels without cleaning room again... Same story on the following day... Thus, effectively, it was bad room service. I don't think I will stay in this hotel again.

This is at best a 3 star, its suited to familys or coach tours. The reception is very basic with extra charges or deposits for pretty much everthing from charge for early check-in to just getting one room key card, even though we booked the european family triple room..you need to leave a deposit if you need another key card. The hotel has a convienice store, a tacky chinease resturant and q cafe, only the convienience was open.

Love that the room is big and spacious. However which such a big room guest would have expected more amenities. The one and only microwave is situated at level 1 and we needed to bring our food down to get them heated up before headed back to our room. Even though there is a washing machine, we do not have enough hangers to hang out clothes.

Hotel can’t decide if it wants to be a hotel or a serviced apartment. Doesn’t appear professionally operated as a hotel as there were no consistency in their electrical appliances (we switched rooms). Too many unnecessary built-in storage. Décor is old & amenities are worn out. Reception staff have low command of English & tend to decline most requests (not sure if it is because it is more convenient to say no or simply because they do not understand). There are a few markets around the corner from the hotel & a convenience store, Chinese restaurant & coffee joint directly accessed within the hotel premise. The Airport Limo bus stop is a 15-min walk away & not exactly most friendly if you have heavy luggage as the roads leading to it isn’t all flat.

Ocean palace hotel need to be taken down from a four stare hotel to a two stare Motel. Everything in the establishment was so dated, my room was falling apart and it was being held together by tape literally. It did have great space in the rooms but the photos where so false leading. I asked for an Close iron, they did not have any at all, not unavailable they did not carry them, the free breakfast was Horrible it’s not what someone expects for Four- Stare Hotel.

It was an OK kind of stay. Actually i would only say the cleanliness of the rooms weren't done properly everyday. Especially bathrooms. But the rooms are very spacious and they provided ample drawers and washing machine inside the room which was really great. I was pretty happy with the stay.

My family was so pleased with the condition of the facility. It was very spacious and clean. However, they charged us extra for checking in a bit early and didn’t even do anything when we had to check out so much earlier than the usual time nor gave us refund or anything else to make up for missing the breakfast we bought. There was an emergency in the family and had to leave early at 5:30 in the morning and asked for a refund for the breakfast we paid for. What kind of math do they do when they charge for early check in and do nothing for the service we paid for and missed??

Nice hotel - communal areas could use a little updating but the rooms are enormous and very nice. Well situated for Seogowipo, with easy access to amenities and sights.

The beds were very nice and clean. I liked that we had a wall of windows in our room. We were provided fresh sheets every day which was nice. The bathroom was just s little dirty in the shower and looked a bit old. I also would have liked a larger trash can on the room. Overall, I think the place was a very nice place to stay.

The room is spacious and the location is within walking distance to Ollen Market. The toilet is very smelly and it’s unbearable. The pictures @ Expedia did not turn out to be the same as the actual condition of the room. The room wasn’t very well maintained and I can’t wait to leave after the first night. Will not stay in this hotel again. Hotel staff is fine but their English is not very good hence wasn’t able to assist much. For extra keys or travel adapter, you gotta pay 10,000 wons deposit for each item.

The address on Expedia was wrong making it difficult to find. The staff was not friendly nor helpful with confirming the place or with anything. The wooden floor in the bathroom was rotten. Room was big but empty i.e. no furniture to fill the room! Staff called us at 11h20 PM to confirm our dislike with the hotel. We changed hotel after 2 days. Location was good but that’s all that was good.

The property seems quite dated. The pictures online look better than it actually is. There aare lots of underground parking spaces. The check in was quick and the front desk staff was friendly. The toilet in the room we stayed in smelled very bad. It remained foul smelling even though we requested cleaning.
