Shouldn’t really complain at this price but photo didn’t exactly match reality. Maybe, we got the room that is still waiting for its renovation round. View from room was good though. Being central heating and it was winter time, we checked in the day when it was the warmest winter. Had to do like all others (looking down from our window at our neighbours window), turn off the heater and open the windows to sleep.

Stayed 3 nights, 2 nights no parking available was told full. Room was nothing like picture. Furnitures and fittings were all very old run down and broken. Bathtub nice but faucet not working. Given hand towels not bath towels. Asked for extra pillow straight answer NO by reception. Told reception next day I want to check out and refund as it was the worst hotel I ever stay. Straight answer again no and suddenly can give extra pillow. Worst hotel ever stayed. Worth only 20,000won per night stay but paid about 150,000won

The hotel are overall clean and quiet and the room are bug with really nice view. Walkable distance to nearby amenities.

The downside are you will need to walk abit to the amenities. The washing machine are very limited where you will find yourselves waiting for the last cycle to end. And there is nothing yet on the roof. The ovwrall hotel hotel are abit old.

Kitchen is a scam

I searched and filtered to get a kitchen in the room. Paid more than other hotel rooms. There was a kitchen and hot plate in the room but the hotel said we arent allowed to use it due to fire hazard. Then why market it and make us pay more when we cant use it!

Note that very few of the facilities listed by the hotel are usable - there is a fine if you use the induction stovetop, there are no bath towels provided to guests (only hand towels for the toilet), aircon is only provided during certain months of the year, no coffee or tea, there are no block-out blinds so you will wake up with the sun, and the room is overall pretty dated. There is also a very bright sensor light for the bathroom, so if you’re not travelling alone bring an eye mask to sleep with. It is large though and in a good location close to the market and other local attractions.

No AC, only heat even though rooms are 75 degrees (they tell you to open a window and when we did, mosquitoes bit us all night and kept us awake for 2 days since no screens on windows). No large towels, only hand sized towels. No black out curtains so you wake up when sun rises. Sink water didn’t go down because stopper couldn’t be moved. No pots/pans despite having a kitchen. No coffee or tea provided. Parking attendant was rude. Takes 10-15 minutes to get your car from self parking

The hotel is situated at the bottom of a slope, so to go to the town or shops, need to climb up the steep slope which you can’t see if you’re using NAVER map.

The pictures shared for the property are deceiving, yes it is the same building but they show the hotel when it was brand new, it does not look like that currently. The building is old, no work has been done, the carpets are dirty and the bedding is terrible. The cleaning service did not include the bedding, which we found surprising.

The hotel sits in a good location where we can access a lot of shopping and dining options within walking distance. However, this is all I can say with regards to good things about it.

The rooms were not clean and in disrepair. Our fridge was making an odd whirring noise all day, and the tv died our second day. The overhead shower was so rusted we didn't dare to try using it, and the toilet had brown stains on the floor.

Conveniently located within a quiet but accessible town, with good dining options within walking distance. Room was true to description - comfortable for our family of 6, 3 queen beds and 2 bathrooms. View was surprisingly great, overlooking the harbor and mountains. Clean but wardrobes were bit dusty so we didn’t use it since it’s just 2N stay. One staff at front desk spoke English so it was helpful. Overall happy with stay.

Overall a nice property. The room was clean and nice. The only problem we had was that the main sheet for the main bed was torn upon arrival and that was a little sketchy. Check in was easy. Parking was fine. A but difficult to navigate if you don’t speak Korean fluently but still doable.

Convenient to walk around on foot to shopping and food. The room was comfortable for 6 persons with good full length window view. Just required some minor details to check on, the tv remote weren’t working. Also it would be good to have some utensils in the little kitchenette for us to heat our food. As the carpark is down a slope, loading and off loading luggage is a bit of challenge to bring the luggage to the lobby if there are no young ones to help. On the whole the 3 nights stay was good.

My wife and I stayed here on a mid-week get-away from visiting relatives in Korea. The first indication that this would be a sub-par stay was the check-in kiosk (like a fast food restaurant) that was not working, so a clerk in the back had to check us in. The hallway to our room smelled like a mix of old fishing boat and urine. The room itself was was reasonably clean, but full of oddities. No bath-sized towels. There was no shelf in the shower, so the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser bottles were on the bathroom counter. There was a substantial crease in the floor causing the center of the room to be about 4 inches lower than the door or window sides. The sliding door that would have given the bathroom area (not a room) more privacy was visibly glued in place. The side tables were at a perfect height to just block the outlets, but you could see where they were. The AC was centrally controlled and not turned on yet (late April), so we had to keep the windows open all of the time to keep it from becoming an oven in the south facing room.

Then there is the breakfast... Jeju is known for oranges. No orange juice. The oranges they had were imported from California. Soupy scrambled eggs. Cold potatoes. Boiled little grey sausages. No real butter. A selection of half-assed Korean foods. Coffee was terrible. Not Korean, not western. Just an abomination of both.

Look for a better hotel closer to the water or downtown area. This place was not worth the money I saved.

The size of the hotel room and location is overall quite good. Cleaniness was also passable. However, we were quite disappointed that the hotel did not have basic amenities such as cup and saucers/utensils in the room. The fridge was also not working when we first checked in (thus had a funny smell) but the front girl helped us with it. The front door lights were not working as well but the front girl told us nothing can be done about it.

Good location with the proximity to Olle market and lots of eating options.

Room is a little dated and not exceptionally clean. Bathroom glass door could not be shut properly. There was electrical kettle provided but no coffee/tea sachets provided. Like the room spaciousness with sofa and lots of tabletops to put things. Separate dresser works great with 2 gals travelling.

its a 3.5 star hotel for a reason. its a run down place with bad service to start with and def not a good place for family as the room was quite dirty when we arrived. had a strong odor when we arrived in the hotel room. found an old pretz stick from who knows when and had to stop my 1yr old son from eating it. asked for extra pillow and they offered each at 5000won. price was dirt cheap and we found out the hard way. def wont be staying again.

There is a cju shop inside hotel veryvery handy and normal prices.

The hotel itsefl is in a very good location but its a bit run down you can not use the hob in kitchen so no cooking not sure why advertise kitchen if you not allowed to use it , our toilet was leaky on floor in corner and the bathroom tap was looose.
Room was very big with full size fridge so was handy and a feeezer

Walls could do with a new paint job

And note the aircon is all korean so i used translater app to use it properly and the tv all korean channels mostly but.my box constantly froze on me so i gave up looking.

But would i stay here again and thats anyes if the prices where low enough to other hotels then yesn i would as it jas some issues but the staff where really good and helpfull

Large rooms, good location.

The large, bright double room had plenty of space and would be great for longer trips as well as an overnight stay. There was more storage than my apartment, with plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The sofa was comfortable and a great space to relax in. The staff had little English but were very friendly, car parking was easy and the location is great for walking around Seogwipo.

The main negatives were that the curtains to the huge windows were not the greatest, meaning the light came through quite early. Also, the kitchen is unusable, the rules say you cannot bring in outside food, the stove is not hooked up, there are no plates/cutlery/mugs except 2 plastic cups. This did not ruin our stay, but as I know that I often book hotels such as this so that I can use the kitchen, it would be very inconvenient for some guests.

The suite was nicely decorated and very well laid out with a full kitchen. However the one disappointing feature was that there were no dishes, pots, cutlery or mugs. When we asked the front desk for mugs they said no even though the hotel has a fully functioning restaurant that was not open while we were there.

Big but a bit run down. Good deal overall.

Service at check-in and in the restaurant was fine. The building apparently used to be an apartment building which was turned into a hotel. This means the rooms are huge! Which is great! But, the hotel did not put much effort into redoing the rooms it appears. Scratches are all over the walls and floor. The bathroom sink was falling apart. The separate door to the toilet scratched on the floor, making a terrible noise. The blackout curtain did not work, and the sunlight shone directly onto the bed at 5:30 am. The bed was comfortable, but the TV was at the other end of the giant room, so it was hard to watch TV.

For the price it is a good deal I suppose. If you like large rooms then its great. If you like to cook yourself its good as it has a small kitchen with a huge fridge. If you like sleeping in, maybe not so good. And if you want flawless room condition stay away. I wouldn't say its dirty perse, but the poor condition of the rooms makes it feel that way at times.

No Bath Towels??

Hotel has no lobby to drop off luggage from rented car. Needs to go basement & lug own bags up.
Room is big but deco bit too conventional. I would have given a rating of 4/5 except one very negative point. NO BATH TOWELS were provided & when requested, they left FOOT Towels for us. We had to go down to front desk to inform them upon which they brought us 6 Face towels apologizing they had runned out. We can also accept that but DONT give us FOOT Towels to wipe our bodies - goodness.

Huge rooms

The rooms were huge with a kitchen, but without plates and utensils. Beds were nice, strong WiFi, large TV with many channels. Its walking distance to town center and the market, which surprisingly has more on offer in the afternoon and evening than morning. Parking is a mechanized parking system in the basement, super cool. There's also a convenient store in the hotel. If you are renting a car, the hotel's name and phone number doesn't seem to be in the gps.

Good view of the Sea and close to restaurants

The hotel is in a great location. The main restaurant/bar area of Seogwipo is a block away. Further, the room looking out to the Sea was magnificent. The room was standard, #706, but had a kitchen area, and combined living room/bedroom. This was almost a suite, I would say.
On the side of the room looking out at the Sea, the wall was basically windows from the floor to the ceiling. Other than one load bearing column, it was all open. Waking up in the morning was quite enjoyable having an unobstructed view.

The shower and toilet areas had their own rooms and there was even a kitchen table. I was very impressed with the room, as it was all white. So, when the sun hit it in the morning, it was very enjoyable to wake up from a good night's slumber.

The only area of confusion was the parking. This hotel uses an automated parking system, where the car goes into an elevator and then disappears below. As long as there is a staff member handy, then no problem. However, it is all in Korean, so without them, it is almost impossible. However, it is very neat to see in operation.

All in all, this was a very nice one night stay. I would easily stay here again. There is a cafe and restaurant in the hotel as well.

The room daily rate was only KW$60000, and I admit it was a good rate. However, due to our early flight, we arrived at 1pm, and was told we could only check-in at 3pm. If we were to check-in 2 hours earlier, the charge would be KW$30,000 per hour additional. The hotel was far from fully booked, and in any parts of the world, if you stay for 3 nights, and 2 rooms, the hotel would allow you to check-in a little bit earlier out of courtesy. I found the reception lady's attitude to be arrogant and far from helpful. Other than that, the stay was pleasant.

Amazing Experience, Wonderful Hotel

The Island Blue Hotel was great! We arrived after a long, somewhat stressful journey to a free upgrade from a standard twin room to a deluxe family suite. The room was exceptional - large, clean and comfortable. We had a large private kitchen, with a fridge/freezer and oven, as well as a powerful shower and separate dressing area. We had one large double bed and one single, as well as a sitting area with a large TV & ocean view. Such a special stay at this fantastic hotel - One of the highlights of our South Korea trip. Thank you so much to the staff members who helped us find our way around Jeju, and of course for the upgrade!

A dream-like, paradise hotel in Jeju

This was such a pleasant stay! I was in Korea for business, but spent a few vacation days to visit Jeju Island and this was the perfect hotel. The modern building, fantastic room, and courteous staff.. everything was top notch, and I do have high expectations and standards. I would say the value would probably be ~$300 in U.S. hotels for such a stay. Great value. It was such a relaxing getaway. My favorite part was enjoying my time in the bathtub, looking out to the mountain view in the early morning. I would definitely return here if I visit Jeju again!

Nice on the website... minimal facilitiee

Beds were extremely uncomfortable as were pillows. Staff spoke limited english but were as helpful as can be given the language barrier. Walking distance to jeongbang falls and the beach and Lee Jeong Seop street (olle market and main shops and eateries). Convenience store downstairs and massage parlour were good additions. Quieter area in Jeju if thats what you are looking for.

Fell short...

Stayed 3 nights. Changed rooms due to cigarette smoke from below... No smoke in second room but unfortunately, it was very dirty. Maybe cleaning service was having a bad day. Another room change. Third room was ok. Front staff handled it well, but what a hassle.

Breakfast buffet was ok. Location is ok. Note, checkout is 11am with a charge of USD $30/hr if you're late. Interesting policy.

Overall, it wasn't a bad stay, but I'll try elsewhere next time.

Clean hotel but inconsistent price

Bit overpriced and inconsistent pricing for similar style room. My $129 room was not too different than my friend's $80 room. It was not worth the $59 price difference and I felt overcharged yet the hotel would not let me cancel to get the $80 room.

Customer service was terrible. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. There were not any room amenities i.e. coffee, tea, etc. Our room was booked for three people. We only received towels for two, washcloths were not provided either. On our second day after the room was cleaned and the towels were removed they did not replace them. We had to call and ask for them to be replaced. This is not a kid friendly hotel nor a foreigner friendly hotel. The front door only has one lock in which it automatically opens if you turn the handle, not safe for young children. The hotel seemed more like a studio apartment they couldn't sell than a hotel. The free parking which is a joke, there are approximately ten parking spots in the garage and the outside parking is not much better. There is a kitchenette with no pots, pans, glasses, etc. I would stay at any other hotel in Seogwipo than the Island Blue.

Great hotel

Very good hotel in downtown seogwipo. Hotel is very modern and has lots of space. I had to kill couple of small bugs with the big spray they provided and the blanket was dirty at some parts. Overall everything was excellent. Staff was great. Rememeber to ask the hotel for their hotel card for the korean address, because not a lot of taxi know how to get to this hotel.
