The towels were changed but the room wasn’t cleaned during our four night stay, tea , coffee, water were not replenished and when I asked at reception I was told to go to the shop. The pool area was tired and lacking in towels, again we had to ask for them as the towel station was full of used towels, not a fresh one in sight.

Room was nice albeit a little dirty. Nice and spacious with a large bed and a nice balcony. Staff were fine, check-in smooth. Breakfast had a good selection with a live cooking station for eggs / omelettes.

The whole property was so quiet, no one in the restaurant for dinner - most people seemed to go off property for dinner. It was more lively round the corner at the square where the other restaurants and bars were.

Overall the hotel was fine,my personal balcony had a birds nest above on the ceiling,and i'm for not disturbing the nest , but bird droppings were all down the wall and on the furniture below.The room was supplied with a kettle and a few teabags,but no milk pots, the shower gel supplied would suffice for one shower.

Our go-to hotel!

We’ve stayed a few times before as our daughter has an apartment on site. One of our favourite Hilton hotels. Always well-priced, great aircon, beautiful pool and an amazing breakfast. The room is super comfortable with a bath - loved it!

The staff were all very polite and helpful. Regarding the bathroom toiletries. You get tiny little bottles of shampoo etc. no actual hand soap. You have to fiddle with either the shampoo or body wash to wash your hands at the sink. Neither of our plugs actually worked in either of the sinks(I should have total reception - apologies) An aerobic class started blaring music across the pool area in the morning. We had to shut the patio doors to try and shut the music out.
The rooms are spacious and we had a kettle and a fridge (on our previous stay we didn't have a fridge) Still a nice place to stay

The room we stayed in was spacious, reasonably priced and clean/safe but was badly lit due to being on the ground/basement floor. There was a large generator block outside the window which was silent but further blocked the light and view from the room. When I requested to be moved to a higher floor (which I also requested as part of my booking) I was told I would have to pay for an upgraded room to make this possible. This was a little disappointing as the view from the room we stayed in did not reflect the pictures, and it was not made clear during the booking that it would be ground/basement floor only. I declined to pay more and stayed in the room allocated. Overall the facilities in the hotel were fine in terms of restaurant/bar/pool and decor of communal areas.

Had over rooms twice because my room was infested with ants they were inside my bed and all over the furniture The first time they said it was my fault because of food inside the room and they showed me photos of this but the room they had photoed was not mine it was another room they had gone to the wrong room!! The second room had the same problem so I stayed until housekeeping came to inspoect. The third room had the same problem but not as bad and I was sick of moving my stuff. They hotel tried to put the blame on me which upset me slightly

The hotel by itself is beautiful. But location was far from my request -- this hotel was located in ROLDAN Torre-Pacheco, a half hour drive from where my son and his family were. We had to rent a car so my son would not have to drive 30 minutes x 2 each day to meet us -- The rental car cost us an additional 780 euros for the week.

With potential but bad experience

State of the lake is very poor, there is rubbish in it and it makes a horrible smell around the hotel.

It’s a 5 star hotel and nobody came to at least help out with my luggage to the reception or the room.

I booked a tee time at the golf club and they booked the wrong order and miscalculated the budget. On top of it they’ve asked me to pay the Green fee twice and haven’t received an answer yet.

Finally, I got the last worse news as I was requesting a taxi to Murcia city, a dodgy van came over quoting me 50€ (thankfully I knew it was circa 29€) and when I asked for a licence they swore at me and left. These taxis are known by the hotel and they might share a fee.

I was promised that a manager would call me to resolve all these series of problems but it’s been over 4 days and I would assume no one will do anything about it so I decided to write a very honest review.

I’m very disappointed that I haven’t even received an apology after all, will never return and you should really think about it also.

Lovely hotel with nice bedrooms and great bathroom/dressing room area. There is a bit of a smell outside in areas from the lakes on the urbanisation I think but not bad enough to be upsetting. A good few eating options and bars right beside the hotel. Hotel staff were excellent-friendly and accommodating so congratulations to Hilton hotels on that.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. We stayed here a night before flying back to Scotland from Murcia. The exterior is beautiful with a lovely pool area and bar. The staff at the pool were extremely friendly and keen to help.

We had two rooms at the hotel. Upon opening the fridge we couldn’t believe the amount of ants! They were in the fridge, on the floor and even on the bed. I spoke to reception and they came along sprayed the room and left. No effort was made to clean away the ants. We were not offered another room ! We were told this is typical of murica! This should be advertised when booking! We would never stay in a room with ants!

Further more the bed sheets had dirty stains on them and the air conditioning rattled all night.

In the morning I asked for a manager to call me before we got on our flight I heard nothing. I would never stay here again! Poor customer satisfaction.

A very disappointing hotel.

The hotel is sadly nowhere close to the 5* it claims to be. The first thing we saw as we walked into the lobby were large windows with a lot of bird mess on them, obscuring the views. Receptionists were consistently unfriendly, not even acknowledging us whenever we were passing by the reception area. The only friendly staff members were cleaners.
During our entire stay we could not get soap… we were given shampoo instead for the first two nights and eventually also shower gel, but no soap bars were available! We were also made to feel by one of the receptionists like we were asking for something really unusual… No environmental friendly policies in place, towels being replaced every day until we specifically asked to leave them unchanged. Breakfast was good - large, decent selection of foods. Dinner not for vegetarians- literally not one veggie option in the whole menu. Overall a very disappointing stay.

La Torre Golf hotel

Hotel accommodation good but they fell down on restaurant meal choices. As vegetarians we felt the menus too limited, front of house staff excellent. Happily there was a nearby Italian restaurant that was excellent and able to adapt their dishes to suit.
Overall we felt that the hotel let themselves down by not moving with the times.

The Hotel was lovely, very immaculate and clean throughout, staff greeted us to the hotel and we had A very speedy check in. However we came to our first problem which was when we booked our Suite we did so with the breakfast option.
However upon check in we was told that breakfast was not included in our Package and an extra 30 euros would have to be paid for breakfast, Even though our email clearly stated free breakfast.
We got to our room to find that it was just like how the pictures portrayed the room and with stunning views over the golf course it was a lovely area.
We then realised that there is no Tea/coffee making facilities in the room as stated on the website. Not A big issue but when it is stated and was looking forward to an early morning cup of tea was a tad disappointing.
We then get to the main issue with the hotel at this present time and that is the indoor pool. We booked this hotel on our stop over before heading to the airport for the reason of proximity to Murcia airport and an indoor pool so my 3 year old daughter could use the facility. Upon finding the pool they are currently refurbing the area something not stated when Booking on the Expedia site. There is plasterboard and debris everywhere, no changing rooms available to change into. And the place just looked like A building site. I went to reception to ask if the pool was open to find that yes it was but the hotels reception seemed to not be aware of the renovations. TBC as character limit.

We really enjoyed our time at Double Tree Hilton Hotel, at La Torre. We had a 3 day weekend break. Our room was on the third floor and was very comfortable with a lovely view of the swimming pool. The staff from reception to the breakfast staff and the restaurant were all very helpful and friendly. We would definitely visit again.

Well nice reception and lovely staff throughout.
Only a few issues. One with security as there was a person terrorising people and smashing bottles glasses etc. That they seemed to turn a blind eye to.

Pool attendant was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough to help you when needed.

The room was nice but the view was horrible overlooking aircon units on a roof, and they were draining the lake so smell & flys were everywhere, and on everything. Big problem.

Not a lot to do though apart from the pool. If you don’t play golf.

The Double tree Hotel itself was lovely, very clean and Pool was perfect , however the surrounding Golfing facilities left a lot to be desired. It was dirty , unkept with a couple of left rundown buildings. I know that the pandemic has had an effect but they need to do a massive tidy up if they want to help the hotels reputation .

Beautifully finished, especially the bathroom. Good air conditioning which enabled us to get a good nights sleep. Could actually watch BBC news on a huge TV. Lovely deep bath and two sinks. Only negative was finding the room, bit of a maze.

Hotel is a good 4 star. The pool is lovely, hotel room was good/clean and the cleaning staff were lovely. However the kitchen/waiting staff were a problem. We decided to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary in the restaurant - we ordered well done stake, and it had to be sent back three times, as it was rare and cold. The waiter took grievance to this decided to take my dinner completely. He then brought out a dessert for me and my husband to share (which we hadn’t chosen nor wanted). In the end I had no dinner :-/.
The Pool Bar refused to bring food / drinks to the seating around the pool, but when I raised the problem with management they obliged?
Breakfast chief serving shop bought pancakes, and refused to get me some out of the cupboard, again when raised with management she did - all very odd.

Hotel is fabulous, staff are lovely, room was clean and comfortable. The only slight complaint was that the lovely indoor pool didn’t open until 11am and closed at 7pm, so difficult to fit in a swim and seeing the area when only there for two nights. Outdoor pool looked fantastic, need to go back in the summer when it’s open.
