The hotel grounds and pools are lovely. The staff are excellent and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are roomy with a large balcony overlooking a pool area, beds are comfortable and rooms are clean but a bit dated,
The all inclusive is not worth it, drinks choice is awful and wine is only served with meals, only red and white no rose ! Food is okay but bland and caters more for Russian guests , better at the Grill where we had lunch every day, the main restaurant is hectic and not as nice, we mostly had dinner out of the hotel but the Bhorat and the Blue Dome are lovely and you get a discount if you are a guest at the hotel,
This could be a gem of a hotel if they got the all Inclusive aspect right, better selection of drinks and cocktails, beach party that is included instead of wanting to charge you $6 for a bbq and ‘free alcohol’ when you have paid for AI
The hotel is perfectly situated right in Naama Bay near everything and directly across from the Hard Rock Cafe and Soho Square, bars and shops

Location is great, staff brilliant, hotel crap

Hotels location is brilliant. Staff from management level to cleaners all spot on. Food is very minimum with just a handful of dishes. They charge to use sauna and steam. Gym is free but items hardly working. Late night snack was embarrassing with just chips and bread serving. They also charge for drinks at some bars despite being fully inclusive.

I've stayed many times at Tropitel and know many of the staff. I always receive good service from the bar and pool staff and show my appreciation with some tips which goes a long way in Egypt. So look after these guys! The Hotel location is good and has some great restaurants adjoined in Boharat and Blue Stone where the food and service is excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.

HOT pools, Happy Staff, Fun events!

It has HOT HOT HOT pools! Yes! They heat the water in the pool, I think the only resort in the whole of Egypt to do so! so IT is nice to swim in the winter months! and the water slides are great for kids! It tries to be a mini CLUBMED. with yoga, crazysigns, disco, aqua aerobics and so forth. The food is amazing but if you wanted to safe money, then the food choices outside is wonderful! The beach is 3 mins walk. Check was very very very slow, it took us 70mins before we got a room! Animation Staff are great. Enthusiastic youngsters from all over the world. Will come again!

The property is filthy. I booked a triple king sea view room. They gave me a double bed single room. Once I walked in the room it had a funny smell. It smell like mold. The bathroom was filthy. The shower curtain was filthy. It had mold growing on it. The tub was filthy you see the dirt. The toilet had the dirt ring around it. This room was never clean. The entire bathroom was disgusting. I did speak with the manager he offer to get the room clean. I decline because it should have been done before I arrived. They offer to give me a king bed the next day. I did not stay at the hotel at all. I left to another hotel.

The worst hotel I have ever been to in Sharm. It has a good location otherwise nothing goes well. Staff are unprofessional, rooms are not clean and furniture are old, etc. But I have learned a lesson this time not to sacrifice quality and comfort for location.

Avoid this hotel if travelling with families

I stayed in this hotel during my visit to Sharm with my family in September and I didn't have any good experience during my stay. The hotel has close proximity to the beach, good swimming pool, large bathroom which are the only plus point I found in this hotel.
I was given a room facing the sea which turned out to be nightmare. The room was very far from the elevator and I had to walk for almost 5 minutes every time I had to go to any restaurant or the lobby. The hotel has only 2 lifts operational for hundreds of rooms which is really unacceptable.The reception was crowded and I had to wait for an hour for my turn. Only the staff at the reception and guest relations know to speak English and the other staff will only misguide if asked for directions. The room was not clean and even after complaining to house keeping, they didn't bother to send anyone to clean the room. Finally had to complain to the guest relations. There is variety at buffet but most of the food is not eatable. The hotel is located at center of Namaa Bay which makes it noisy even at 3am in the morning. So if you are travelling with your family and want a peaceful holiday, please avoid this hotel.

The check in staff or the reception they are not helpful at all, and I didn't give my booked room I get something else( we are two and I get room with 3 beds and when I sayed why is the they told me it's an upgrade!!! And I booked pool or garden view I get a corridor view!!! This was an upgrade ) the room is old fashioned. the hotel is so big from the reception and my room maybe by walking 10 min. There is transportation a golf car from 9 am to 10 pm.

It's the best ever location in Sharm El Sheikh,
I can't believe the great location next to all, have everything inside and if feel bored fore any reason you can just exit the hotel door to find yourself in the center of Nema Bay (Sharm El Sheikh Times Square)
That was really the best all inclusive vacation we got however I advised one of the food managers to use a paper or foam cups for the hot drinks instead the plast ones and he promised me they will do.
I still need to give them 7 stars out of 5 ;)

brilliant hotel....can not fault it.

We had an amazing time. Due to our flights being delayed we were put up at the Hilton Sharks Bay by the airline but wish we could have stayed on at Tropitel, missed it very much.
Everything is on tap, you don't have to walk milea around the resort just to get a drink or find a member of staff. The staff are amazing and are there to help before you ask. If they see you need help or struggling with something they are there in seconds. I do not have a single bad word for this hotel, we had a fantastic stay.

The hotel is ideally situated for a great family holiday. The beach is only a 2-3 min walk. The hotel resort has a number of pools to cater for all, with a slide pool which is great fun.
Tried avoid the old block and heat a room starting with 900 or 700.
Watch out not all alcohol is included in the all- inclusive deal.
Shopping & night life is literally on your doorstep.
Great fun would recommended the hotel.

A great hotel close to beach, close to nightlife and shops. We had a small problem with our air conditioning (not great in 40 degree heat), however, as soon as we mentioned it to the reception staff they got someone on to it straight away and when we came back from our day out the room was lovely and cool and no more problems with it. In the centre of Namma - near the dive centres.

This was purely a dive holiday - so hotel was in a great position - 5 mins from the dive boats and centre -
Felt safe as a single lady traveling solo, staff were very helpful and could pop out for food on an evening without having to go far, being central it was sometimes a bit noisy - but not enough to be a neusance, and would definatly return to the tropial when diving - a great base.

Despite the awesome location in the middle of all the hot spots, our experience was not pleasant at all. The staff was not friendly. They were defensive and unpleasant and they dont seem to want to do the job. It started at the front desk when we were told that if we lose the towel card we were to pay a fee. When we expressed our surprise the guy said \"what if u lose the towel?\" It also extended to the beach when we asked about the menu and they pointed to the kitchen meaning go get it yourself and then the waiters never bothered to come.

Avoid ! Very Disappointing

After reading such positive reviews about the Tropitel Hotel, due to all aspects including the central position, it wasn't a difficult decision to book to stay there for New Year.

To say we were disappointed is an understatement, the hotel has clearly not had any investment for a number of years. On arrival we found our room (909) to be shabby, dirty and not very well maintained. If was clear to see that some efforts had been made to give it a refurb, probably a long time ago but the bathroom looked like it had been missed (usually due to costs). There were discoloured seals around the shower cubicle, with dirt caught underneath them. Attempts had been made to cover the filthy grout on the wall tiles with more filler which was also peeling off into the shower tray. Under the sink, vanity area & all the floor/bath outside tile edges were totally disgusting dirty.

The scatter cushions on the bed were stained and grubby and the mattress very hard. The patio doors did not make me feel very secure, one hard pull and it could have been accessed.

Although the hotel offered us another room (which in their opinion was better on their club floor) this one too was poorly maintained and looked even more shabbier than 909... They addressed our cleaning issues but the whole experience in the hotel was a massive let down, including the communication. We were not told that the Executive restaurant would not be available the days running upto the New Years Eve party due to getting it r

The Tropitel failed to deliver the promised quality typically present in a resort that boasts a five star rating. The internet infrastructure provided spotty service at best. The reserved single room turned into a room with double beds. That were far from comfortable. The matress was only 3 inches thick and hard as a rock. There was black mold growing in the hallway which undoubtedly stressed my sinuses nearly ruining the diving experience in sharm el sheikh. The tubs were not made nonslip and the walls were stained. I will gladly affirm that the Tropitel will not ever be considered in any future travel plans.

Great Location but disappointing service

The hotel is at a prime location with fantastic swimming pools. My children enjoyed the water park pool and the activities organized by the hotel. Sea access is a walking distance from the hotel which was a bit inconvenient. All the fun and night life are just few steps from the hotel. Breakfast quality is below average. They have an Italian restaurant just outside the hotel entrance with excellent taste; I recommend that you try it. Rooms are below average; we experienced bad smell in our room for almost 5 days out of the 7 days we stayed there. The fridge in the room was hardly working. We also had bad experience on arrival when the hotel reception did not respect the confirmed rates booked for my family. They imposed additional charges on 3 rooms claiming that the rooms were booked for one adult and a child while their child policy considers ages between 12 and 16 as Adult. Of course we reported this back to Hotels.com who promised to refund any extra charges.

Much better than average review!

I stayed 4 nights in a sea view room in the main building. The complex is very big and for certain rooms a buggy is provided to transport to other buildings on the hill where the aqua park is situated. My daughter stayed in this part, only a 5 min walk but can be a negative for some guests with small children. Most of hotels in Sharm masquerade as 5* but in reality 3-4*. The Tropitel I would give 4*, service at pool bar, reception and dining room was good. Quality and variety of food good. The hotel caters to Russians, British and Egyptians but don't expect all to understand what a queue is or how to behave late at night. There was entertainment at night by the animation team but not very interesting, mainly game shows with same guests. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Tropitel Naama Bay and look forward to my next visit!

Barely a 1 Star Hotel

Hotel Cleanliness - Starting with the hotel lobby - The Bar in the lobby, there was dirt in the water dispenser as it was visible to the people sitting on the bar while the bar tender was refilling one can see the dirt sediment in the dispenser. The Bar tender is also the person who cleans the floor, as he holds a filthy rag and cleans the floor, seconds later he would be serving drinks on the bar. The toilet in the lobby was simply unusable as its piping is faulty, dripping all over the place. In the room toilet there were swarms of ants. In the Restaurant the tables, chairs, and floor were as if no one cleans them at all, as area's were sticky to walk on multiple days, the tables were never cleaned between guests as they would seat you there without even attempting to clean it, the chairs were stained from food and also not cleaned between guests. House keeping would finish cleaning the room at 5-6 pm as opposed to every other hotel they would be done by the time back from breakfast.
The Service- Ordering a water bottle and 2 glasses on separate occasions had the same outcome of not showing up despite the numerous calls and complaint to the on duty manager saying its best they can do at the time. (after waiting in the room for a little over an hour). The food in the restaurant was very oily and there wasn't much of variety just very heavy food on the stomach. The snacks on pool and beach were either burnt (ex . mini burgers) or not fresh (ex. rock solid bread and pastries
