Mostly excellent. The staff was great and helpful. Some rooms did not have air conditioning but they gave a fan if you asked. The attached restaurant was closed each time we were there, not sure that it is still operational. Breakfast was excellent.

Away from the hustle and bustle and near the airport. Easy access to buses for getting downtown. Should be even better once they get light rail in (it is in the works). Breakfast had a lot of selections. I liked the place. It just wasn't anything special.

One of the best breakfast spreads in all European hotels. Rooms were clean, staff was ok. Lifts are too small for people traveling with big luggage. Lots of good authentic Italian restaurants around to dine, snack, drink. Hotel bar also open but slightly expensive. Within 15 min walking distance from Borgo Panigale train station and 10 min walk from Ducati museum and factory.

I had a wonderful experience at JR Hotel Bologna Amadeus. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for sleep after a long day. The breakfast was fresh and varied, with plenty of delicious options.

Overall, everything exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna!

Pictures didn’t match the room interior. Locals said it was a bad area to be out late. There was still, moldy water inside the AC unit. Uncomfortable bed. Better to stay in town and taxi to the airport.

The hotel was about a 10-15 ride to Unipol Arena, which is why we stayed for a concert. They were good with checking in late after our concert was finished and kept our bags on the side of the desk, not behind. Breakfast was in small selection of pastries, juice, etc. The location is a little tucked away from most things in an area that was under high construction, which caused a couple of minutes of delay in traffic. However, our room was switched from three separate beds to a queen and one single without permission. The cleanliness was not where it should’ve been and the Wi-Fi did not work at all. Overall, it was ok for the night but we will stay somewhere else next time.

Two of English speaking receptionists were excellent.
Breakfast was very good & included.
We were allocated a disabled bathroom which had a concertina shower which was not what we are used to-awkward to use and impossible to avoid water over area outside shower: we are not disabled. Toilet was too high for my wife. We were offered another room after 2 days but it is hassle to move and we stayed put-bedroom fine.
There are substantial road works close to hotel-we were high enough for it not to be a problem.

Staff friendly & helpful. Room very spacious and clean. Breakfast was great, with lots of options, and family friendly. Not too many options in the neighbourhood for restaurants, although the one downstairs was good.
The location was a little further from the core than expected, but accessible by bus and train. Walking distance to Ducati factory.
Unfortunately, there was road reconstruction which made it tricky & dusty to navigate sidewalks. Overall, would return & recommend

The room was also spacious and the bathroom was good. Breakfast was ok. Considering I paid a lot of money for this particular stay (I think there was an event taking place in Bologna) I would have expected more.

The restaurant attached to the hotel is a bonus and serves really nice food.

The Hotel is located in a middle of a building site. Access is awful and the noise , early morning is horrific.
The selection at breakfast was awful - hot pineapple , sour melon. The fruit juice had a nasty taste.

Perfect Location & Excellent Service!

Perfectly located, just 8 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes by taxi to Unipol Arena, making it ideal for concerts. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even assisting us with taxi bookings when the apps weren’t working. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Bologna!

I thought this would be a nice hotel. Our room was on the second floor and appeared to be a former ball room or meeting room. The one wall was made of removable panels. The ceiling had suspended ceiling tiles and we could hear conversation from the neighbouring room. Did not meet my expectations.

The room itself was very big and quite well laid out though I felt comfort could have been better especially the bed. This was a double bed but for all the space in the room the bed itself was quite small and the mattress not the most comfortable. Also I luckily found some extra pillows as the ones on the bed were almost inexistent. Apart from that, very helpful and friendly staff, amazing breakfast ( I wish I could eat more to enjoy what I missed out on) and the rest of the room comfortable.

Good place to stay. Room is quite big, breakfast delicious and everything is fine. Staff is bilingual or better, usually very helpful and kind. Bus stop across the street and train station 15 minutes walk.

Be aware that to reach the historic center you will have to take a bus ride for about 40 minutes each way, plus waiting time.

While this property was very reasonably priced and offered an exceptional breakfast buffet we were SHOCKED to find out that regardless of the temperature (80F/27C) they would not activate air conditioning for any rooms until June 1st- we were there May 27 and 28th. This should be revealed before booking.

Staff was absolutely great. Very nice and helpful. The main issue was about the room temperature… they could not turn in AC (state limitation) but it made it very difficult to sleep as when the window is open there were people talking outside… Aldo some furniture and details in the bathroom like the state of the drain could benefit from an upgrade.

No recognition of Expedia VIP or any perks. This should not be an Expedia VIP hotel, it does not meet the standard. Very disappointed.

The A/C in the room didn’t work. The staff told me just when I found out and asked about it that it’s because of the government cut it due to the rain…BUT the A/C of the hall way and everywhere else works perfectly why?He didn’t even tell me at the check in which was weird. The hotel is being renovated and there was smell from substance used in installing the flooring structure. Other than that the room was large and clean although it shows its date (do need renovation). In the bathroom, the bathtub was really awkward with a very high wall making it difficult to get in and out.
The metal blind over the window was hard to pull up or down. Overrall the room was fine for a short stay. Location was okay for me to get the bus to city downtown. Breakfast was good and standard with eggs, bread, bacon, cold cuts, fruits, juices.

The hotel is ok but far from 4 stars. It’s quite old and needs a proper refurbishment. Room was spacious but basic. Shower wasn’t working properly and I had to keep the shower head by hand as the holder was broken. Also water was coming out of shower and flooded the bathroom. Not a great experience. Breakfast was good though.

Friendly staff didn't make up for exhausting stay

Pros: 5min drive to to BLQ airport; free parking garage; friendly staff.
Cons: Run down, noisy, smoky. Smokers in corridor and lift could be smelt in the room. Thin walls, woken up at 2am with music/tv from adjoining room, then later woken by alarm in next room which they kept putting on snooze, so alarm kept ringing. I eventually got up, exasperated, exhausted. Shame, as selected the hotel so I could get a good sleep before flight next morning - didn't happen. Won't stay here again.
