We chose this location because it was near the Ducati factory and museum. The hotel was a decent place to spend the night and I would stay there again. There was a coffee shop and restaurant in the lobby. We didn't visit the coffee shop. The restaurant was fine and since we didn't want to take a taxi or uber it suited us. The food was good, not one of our favorites while in Europe. We were tired from traveling but looking back we would have made the effort to eat somewhere else since it was our only night in Bologna.

The true plus of this hotel for us was that we could walk to the Ducati museum. We arrived on a Friday night so the factory tour was not an option but my husband already has it planned for another trip. It was a bit of a walk but completely doable. The website stated the museum was closed for renovations so we were just planning on taking some photos from outside but there were people in the guard building and when we asked they said the museum was open that day so it was a nice surprise for us both.

I will add that I thought this hotel was closer to the airport than it is, fully my mistake. I mention this because we were a bit caught off guard with how to get from the airport to the hotel. There is a taxi line outside the airport which is what we ultimately decided to do. My phone was not working well upon arriving in Europe and I couldn't get in touch with the hotel to get an understanding of the shuttle. I originally planned to walk, that was not possible.

We traveled from the US to stay at this hotel because it’s convenient and close to the airport. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The amenities were very nice. One of my favorite features was the blackout windows. The only downfall is the very hard mattresses. Difficult to get comfortable and good rest, especially when traveling from so far away. Other than that, a good place to stay.

The Expedia Representative told us that breakfast and transportation were included. The Airport Shuttle bus only ran to the Airport every 1/2 hour, not at any time one would need it. We had to pay 17.00 Euros for transportation and 15.00 Euros for breakfast. This was very expensive for three individuals who had been told that these very important amenities were included.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Bologna Airport was disappointing. The room was not as advertised and felt very dated. The pillows were completely inadequate, and the bed was like sleeping on a board, making it nearly impossible to get a comfortable night’s sleep. The television did not work during our stay, and the hair dryer appeared so antiquated that we didn’t even attempt to use it.

Despite the name, the hotel is not particularly close to the airport or to any restaurants or attractions. To make matters worse, the hotel charges €15 for its airport shuttle service, which felt excessive given the location. Overall, the accommodations did not meet our expectations and were not reflective of the photos or description provided.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise! The room was comfortable, clean and very cool during the recent heatwave. The prices are very fair too. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, especially for an airport hotel. Great Bolognese specialties! The hotel bartender is very gracious and drinks are lovely. I highly recommend it! Be aware that there is a fee for the hotel shuttle bus, but it’s much cheaper than a taxi from the airport, so I didn’t mind paying at all.

The staff was exceptionally accommodating & the shuttle to the airport, which took under 10 minutes, allowed for a stress free stay. The property was clean & the food at the restaurant delicious. The only slight complaint is that the mattress was hard and somewhat uncomfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a clean hotel and the rooms were nice looking. Hardest most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on, floor would have been better. Needs to upgrade the bed! Loud banging until about midnight, not very quiet. Nice to have croissants and coffee available for free so very early! We had to pay 15 Euro for shuttle, that’s not described well in the overall description, shuttle was nice to airport. So I’d say this place is a C+\B-

Clean hotel and fine for a 1 night stay prior to your flight. The rooms need renovating though. It is old and tired looking. The look of the hotel from the outside photos is deceiving. The walls are paper thin and it feels like you are in the same room as your neighbour. You can hear everything they are saying. But like I say, sufficient for 1 night. Shuttle is handy.

I had a very smooth experience at this property. The check-in process was efficient, and the room was notably clean and well-maintained.

The Highlights
Dining: The restaurant is impressively large and offers a great range of options for breakfast and dinner.

Transport: The airport shuttle service was quick and reliable, making the commute stress-free.

Staff: Professional and organized, especially during the peak check-in times.

Room Comfort Note
The only downside was the room temperature. Despite it being early April, the room felt very warm. The air conditioning unit didn't seem to be working properly, though we didn't report it at the time as we only noticed it late in the evening and were too tired to move.

Final Verdict: A highly convenient and clean choice for an airport stay. I’d definitely stay here again, though I’d double-check the AC settings a bit earlier in the night next time!

The hotel had a lot of hidden charges, such as the airport shuttle. The parking lot is a dirt lot. You will get wet if it is raining.
Also, I do not recommend staying there if it is raining. The windows have a metal pot shelf as an architectural detail. The rain collects into large drops that fall intermittently with a pretty loud bang. This made sleep dificult.

Superb Airport Hotel

This is the ideal airport hotel. As arranged, we telephoned the hotel to request the shuttle bus. As it was 01.30am we were surprised when told that the bus was already waiting. On arrival at the hotel, check-in took only a few minutes. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, a varied choice of good quality products. All staff were very helpful and polite. We will definitely stay here again.

Works for large groups or car travelers

This is a hotel perfect for large groups of people more like a meeting place or for people traveling by car who need proximity to the airport. It is NOT a four star hotel perhaps except for the amenities possible such as a restaurant or meeting rooms.The place feels more institutional than luxurious, more like an inexpensive dormitory. The shuttle service to the airport is efficient and recommendable. The image on this photo is deceptive -- it does not look like this at all. The building is white and institutional.

For an overnight stay with an airport shuttle, this property did the job. While it was convenient and close to the airport, the downside is that there really is not much around the hotel, at least within a reasonable walking distance. During our walk looking for shops and sights, we walked alongside some business (car wash and maybe a mechanic shop). There were a couple sketchy ladies hanging around an intersection that I’m pretty certain were prostitutes. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with the few questions I asked. The only dining option (unless you take a cab) was conveniently located in the hotel. The food was ok, but was just average and a bit pricy. If you need a short stay hotel that will get you to the airport, this hotel is fine, but don’t expect much.

We stayed here two separate nights. We chose this hotel because the offer secured storage( we had a short trip to Croatia for 3 days). Our first visit was very pleasant with a room that had bottles of water, didn’t smell of being smoked in and there was no card needed to operate lights in the room.
Second visit was totally different- no bottled water, room smelled of smoke and lights were operated with the room card which we had no knowledge of this procedure. Staff was blunt and did not offer much information nor were they responsive to the “smokers” smell.
I must say the restaurant offered a good menu and the cafe bar was nice for an afternoon coffee.
