Poor housekeeping. Towels changed only once a week, room was not cleaned, even though there was a \"please make up my room\" sign on the door. Very noisy, due to local youth hanging right by the windows till 2 in the morning.
Overall, not worth the money spent.

Receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Firstly tried to say that I never had 2 rooms booked, then relented when i showed him booking. Eventually got 2 rooms, though 1 was not what i had booked.

Less than avg.

The pictures on Hotels.com looks so much better than the hotel itself. The hotel is situated in some sort of industrial area and looks dodgy. We didn't feel safe walking in the neighborhood when seeking out dinner. We had booked an apartment for 4 but only given 3 towels. The sofa bed is not able to fit 2 pax and hence the kids and mum has to share the double twin bed. Sofa bed is bad quality and i hardly caught any sleep last night. Room floor is carpeted and looks dirty. The fridge is super dirty and i wonder if the cleaner cleans it at all. Very basic set up in the room.
Only plus is the size which is big, other than that, nothing great. Other guests were smoking from their balcony. Oh yes, no WIFI from hotel in the 21st century.
My fault as well for going for an economy hotel for stopover. Lesson learnt, don't be a cheapo.

Hotel use's a different name at location from that on Hotels.com.
Check-in was the worst I've ever had.
Ignorant receptionist when arriving.
Staff not trained in hotels own policies.
Kitchen in a cupboard with only an oven & kettle. No plates, pots or cups.
Only stayed 1 night out of 3 planned

Best Hotel evening Staff

It was amazing experience. I really like the evening staff specially guy. He helped us a lot. We didnt have euro but swedish currency. They accepted it Very cheap hotel with best service. 1 minute walk to shopping centre where you can buy & eat food. Free parking on street which is always available. Will stay again in next trip

we've stayed here a number of times as we find it very good value. One gets 2 rooms - one with kitchen facilities. It is very comfortable and clean (apart from some rather shabby seating). It is not central but easy to get to when you have worked it out. There are restaurants not too far away but there is a shopping centre right next door with take-away type meals which you can take to the hotel or eat sitting at tables.

Decent hotel, but request extra pillows!

Decent hotel. The room was pretty big, but it had a weird smell to it - like it used to be a smoking room and they tried to cover the cigerette smell with chemicals. They also only give you one paper-thin pillow per bed; we requested more pillows and they left them on the floor outside our door (I didn't hear anyone knock, but I might have been in the shower). The bed was a little on the hard side, but still comfortable. There is street parking and it wasn't too bad to find a spot. There is also a grocery store right outside so that was really convenient.

Good value hotel

We stay regularly at this hotel and find it very good value as you get a bedroom, a sitting room, a kitchen alcove where you can self-cater in a modest way and a shower room/toilet. To get to restaurants you need to travel a short distance by car. However there is a shopping precinct a short walk away with several choices of take-away food (ideal to take back to the hotel which has table and chairs in the sitting room) or there are some seating areas attached to the take-aways if you want to eat there. Or you can buy your own food in the well-stocked store.
Parking on the road is usually not too difficult to find and free. The hotel parking is rather expensive. Access to the city should be relatively easy (though we haven't used it ourselves). There are tram and bus stops nearby.

The price and comfort ratio is amazing. A large, clean room with a big desk to get work done, a seating area, balcony, large shower, kitchenette.

Good hotel

Spacious hotel, close to Kaufland shop (literally next door). The apartment includes 3 separate rooms (hallway/ kitchen, living room and the bedroom) plus the bathroom. The kitchenette is kind of funny looking as it is build in a cupboard but it does the job very well. The whole apartment is big, old style but clean and very pleasant. Even though, there is a private car park the cars can be park outside of the hotel for free. I had no problem with finding the space. The reception ladies were very professional and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed the whole stay.

Friendly and helpful

Very pleasant stay, very large apartment and organised, overall very satisfied. Just a few comments I'd like to add, first the drain/bathroom /bath smells quite a bit with an unpleasant smell. Secondly the housekeeping team is quite loud during the morning in the corridor, not taking in consideration there are people not checking out, a few times we had our door banged loudly with their trolley while we were still asleep, not a nice way to wake up. But overall we are very pleased and would stay there again. Receptionists very helpful and most importantly to me specifically when staying in East Germany, friendly staff.

Really good value for money!

This is one of the best hotels we stay at for good value, comfort and convenience. We visit several times a year and can't really find any faults. It has two large rooms a separate adequate bathroom and a small cooking area if required. There are not many restaurants within walking area but there is a shopping complex, minutes away with a choice of eating places with seating areas, or one can take food back to your rooms if you wish.

Nice, clean, friendly staff . The only problem was no bar for drinks and location, 25 mins from city centre, although the tram sarvice was good you could reach anywhere with a couple of tram rides about €20 for a taxi to centre but good value cheap and cheerful.

No wifi and filthy room...

Well, this one was our second time we stayed in this hotel, first time it was room 310, which was even better than we expected for this price, clean and tidy, but no wifi as their router was down. Room 315 we got on our way back from the East was terrible, same floor BUT: stains over all upholstery and carpets, we had to cover our sofa with sheets and blankets we did not use to cover all stains to protect our kids, where was also a crack on sink, which is not kinda safe.
And where is no wifi on this floor as I mentioned previously, only near the lifts spot where the main router is mounted, and it seems that nobody cares about this as we reported the issue with wifi a month ago.

Kinda still feels like the DDR

For the most part, the stay at the Novum was fine. It is in a quiet neighborhood, and their is a supermarket within the building. It is fairly easy to get to, via the S3 tram from the Leipzig HBF. The hotel provides cooking utensils, for a $15 deposit. The biggest problem I had was the extremely weak WiFi they provide. You have to log-on every 12 hours, with a new code, and the signal constantly gets lost once you are logged-on. The interior of the room still has the old East German feel to it and I had a small single bed. The room has plenty of space for a queen or full. The other discrepancies I had were the false amenities that the hotel claimed to provide, such as a sauna. I was told that it was currently being repaired. With my problem with the WiFi, I feel it is an easy company line towards guests to say it's broken. There is also a claim that a fitness center is available. The fitness center that they provide is approximately 3 blocks away, and costs around 9Euros/day.

Das Frühstücksbuffee war ok, man ist satt geworden... auf dem Zimmer im Badezimmer hat es ais dem Abfluss gestunken, wurde bei Abreise aber gleich aufgeschrieben. Also für uns, wir würden das Hotel nicht nochmal buchen... da sind wir halt was anderes gewöhnt... aber jeder hat ja so sein eigenes was er brauchtbund was nicht...

Das personal war freundlich aber sehr kurz gebunden. Die sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Das bad war schimmelig und das sofa voller flecken und hart. Die gardinen sowie der balkon dreckig und verschmutzt. Die küche im zimmer haben wir erst gar nicht benutzt weil noch spuren vom vorgast da waren. Im flur war ein loch in der wand was gefährlich werden kann bei kleinkindern zum Beispiel.

Lidt outdated men fejler intet. Gode brede senge. Morgen var overraskede god og lækker. Parkeringsplads i garage til 12 € pr døgn. Vi overnattede en dag på vej hjem.
Vi kommer gerne igen.
Eneste negative er den lugt man bliver mødt af når man kommer ind på værelset. Måske en deep cleaning af tæppet ville hjælpe.

Zimmer waren sehr groß aber es müsste dringend renoviert werden. Alles abgewohnt.
WLAN so gut wie nicht vorhanden, ein 56k Modem ist schnell.
Auf keinen Fall das Frühstück buchen. 10 Euro sind nicht teuer aber es gibt im Grund nur belegte Semmeln mit bisschen Beilage. Nur Filterkaffee. Der gut schmeckt so fair muss man sein.
Kannst als Hotel machen ist aber nicht mehr Stand der Zeit. Geht lieber zum Kaufland eine Etage tiefer und holt beim Bäcker die Sachen. Nix anderes macht das Hotel auch.

Würde ich wieder buchen, ja aber nur im Angebot und ohne Frühstück.

Parken geht schon irgendwie immer. Am Abend sind alle Plätze weg.

Die Fächer der Miniküche waren dreckig. Terrasse war mit Kippen übersäht. Keine Zimmerreinigung, nur Abfall wurde entleert. Reinigungspersonal sprach kein Deutsch. Das erwarte ich in Deutschland von Servicepersonal ebenso, dass man Gruss erwidert. Morgens ab 5 Uhr war es durch Lkw des Kauflands schon laut. Ab ca. 8.30 Uhr war das Personal schon auf dem Gang laut unterwegs. Zum Urlaub machen ist das Hotel mittlerweile ungeeignet.

Rummet var smutsigt, synliga fettfläckar på skåpen, smuts på väggar och toalettgolv. Damm kring hela fläkten på badet. Dörrarna mot balkongen smutsiga kanter. Mögelfläckar på väggen vid gardinerna. Fullt med slängda fimpar nedanför balkongen, luktade rök in för många stod och rökte. Visst detta är ett budgethotell men rent kan de vara i alla fall, stället behöver storstädas. Det enda bra var komfortabel säng att sova i.

Mehr als in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung mit fleckigen Polstern und billigsten Schlafsofas. Sauberkeit Bad und Bettwäsche gut, aber hinter Vorhängen und Gardinen finden sich gesammelte Staubdepots der letzten Jahre. Auf dem Kaufland-Parkplatz vor dem Schlafzimmerfenster fand ein lautstarkes nächtliches Trinkgelage statt.

Wir haben 3 mal Zimmer wechseln müssen bus es einigermaßen erträglich wurde. Alles war dreckig, verschimmelt, befleckt, kaputt.... gewesen. Einfach nur ecklig. Nie wieder diese Unterkunft. Auch würde ich diese keinem weiterempfehlen.

Unser Zimmer war für uns nicht tragbar. Wir haben nach einer Nacht unseren Aufenthalt storniert.
Das Zimmer roch nach altem Rauch. Der Geruch saß schon im gesamten Interieur fest. Die kleine Küchenzeile klebte, war schmutzig. Das Silikon an den Fenstern war verschimmelt. Die Bettwäsche war glücklicherweise sauber.

Es war unfassbar dreckig und so für uns keine Option dort zu übernachten.. wir haben die Rezeption sofort informiert, aber es hieß, niemand vom Management wäre erreichbar.. man bot uns erst ein zweites Zimmer an, welches aber genauso unannehmbar war.
Nach weiteren drei Zimmern im selben Zustand haben wir die Novum zentrale in Hamburg kontaktiert um klar zu machen, dass es nicht zumutbar ist dort zu übernachten.
Letztendlich wurden wir in ein anderes Hotel ‚verlegt‘, welches besser, aber auch nicht komplett zufriedenstellend war.
