Sept. 2025. Our 6 night stay at the Elaya Hotel in Leipzig's city centre was great. Many sights (museums, churches, the Leipzig Zoo) and wonderful eateries were within walking distance. The hotel was clean, safe, and well appointed. I would definitely return to this establishment for a future stay.

The email reception was difficult as teh codes kept
switching and I spent a lot of time figuring out if
ll is two \"L's\" or two capital \"I's\"
The glass in the bathroom could have been cleaner.
But I am nit picking. The staff are wonderful and the place
is clean and in the rear of the hotel quite quiet.

Just above a hostel

The hotel was more like a hostel than a hotel. No kettle or fridge in the room, no art on the walls, no hooks to hang the jacket on. There was a TV but only German channels or channels dubbed in to German language, so if you don,t understand that it is useless to have a TV.

It was good situated in the town, the staff in the reception was friendly and there were free beverages in reception area. The bed were comfortable and the place was clean.

The hotel is in a wonderfully central location in the pedestrian zone close to everything but therefore a little tricky to find by car. It's modern and clean with a wonderful breakfast spread. The staff was very helpful. The rooms are on the small side but clean and comfortable.

Drunk man found in our room at 5am.

Although the hotel was very nice, had great staff and a decent breakfast, I cannot give it a good review. We stayed a few nights and on our first night, my pregnant wife woke to go to the bathroom in our room at 5am to discover that a drunk German man was inside. We have no idea how he got into the room as I had made sure to lock the door. He looked confused and he believed it was his room but we eventually got him to leave. He wandered the hall looking for his room for a while and then disappeared. Reception doesn't open until 6:30am and there is no info sheet in the room with emergency hotel numbers to call so I waited until then to inform staff. (We learned afterwards that the number to call is on a sign in the lobby, nowhere else. The receptionist was alarmed to hear this and assured us the manager would be informed and some sort of compensation given. We asked to move room as we felt unsafe but the available rooms had not yet been cleaned and we would have to wait until 10am. Then we were told it would be 1pm. We eventually got the replacement room which was on a lower floor and the exact same as the one we had originally. All of our dealings were with the receptionist and we never got to speak with a manager or anyone else. No compensation or anything else was offered/mentioned again.

I left the hotel disappointed to be honest. It shouldn't be up to me to push for some sort of compensation. I don't think security were even informed as we weren't asked to describe him.

The Arthotel ANA Symphonie was nice for our 5-night stay in Leipzig. My complaints are just on some minor things. The room was a little small - we were in Germany for a decent amount of time and had full-size luggage, and it was a little challenging having room to open them. I was also disappointed that the room did not have a mini-fridge. The desk in the room had a cabinet that could fit one, but it was empty. We often purchase water (and often food) the night before if we have something going on the next day, so there was nowhere to keep beverages cold or food safe. It was also a little strange having to keep the television on in order to use the Wi-Fi. My husband went to sleep before me one night and I wanted to continue to use my phone, so I needed to have the TV on which was a pretty bright light if someone is trying to sleep. Overall, none of these things were major issues and I would still recommend the hotel - just some possible suggestions to the hotel for improvements and to guests to be aware of the lack of fridge. The room did have temperature control so that was really nice, especially because it was extremely hot outside. The bathroom was also pretty spacious and had a nice upper counter level to store belongings. The front desk staff always greeted us when we came and went and seemed pretty nice. Overall, a pretty nice hotel!

The reception area and lounge was stylish and the double bedroom was very comfortable. The walk in shower (wet room) was brilliant. There were no tea making facilities in the room, but there was free access to tea and coffee etc in the lounge. The hotel was very easy to access by public transport and conveniently located for exploring the town centre. The staff were helpful and courteous.

New hotel close to the main historic attractions in Leipzig but a few blocks from the main station. Excellent service at reception and during my stay. Hotel has great A/C - which can be hard to fine in summer over here. The king bed was a tight fit in the smallish room - made navigating around it awkward. Would have been nice to have a mini-bar/fridge; although there is a selection of beverages in the reception area, there are no snacks. So if you buy something at the Rewe (just down the street) it can't be refrigerated. Quite a few nice restaurants and shops close by, and the tourist info is through a little passage on the next street. If I stayed here again I would look into getting a larger room.

Fantastic hotel in the city centre that makes it very convenient for any planned sightseeing and/or eating out. Loved the quirky interiors of the lobby too. Very friendly and helpful staff too. I would perhaps suggest to make the neon in front of the building slightly bigger, though. I missed it twice :)

Soulless and uninspiring

This is a soulless place with tiny rooms. Hardly any space between the end of the bed and the tv. Not enough hangers and the hotel ran out of them. No drawers in the room. Big bathroom which was fine. Didn’t have breakfast as when we went by to look at it in the morning it looked uninspiring. The public areas are dull you wouldn’t want to sit in them. It’s very easy to miss the entrance and you go up to the second floor for the lobby. And then up again for our room. I would not stay here again.

Excellent location in the centre of Leipzig. Rooms were comfortable and clean; check-in was quick. Only one lift to reception (on the second floor) and then have to change lifts to get to the rooms. Fire alarm false alarmed at 6.30am and everyone had to evacuate the building but these things happen... If I return to Leipzig, I would certainly consider this hotel again. Represented good value for money.

A very good deal indeed!

Being right at the centre (Markt) makes a huge difference. On top of that advantage, if you also get 24 hrs free coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate etc. at the lobby, and a very nice and efficient staff at the desk and very efficient cleaning staff, you don't need much else. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from the S-Bahn station, Leipzig Markt. The S-Bahn takes about 18 minutes to arrive at Markt from the airport (Halle). The lobby is well spread out and a very helpful staff at the desk. The breakfast (for which you have to pay extra) is not very rich but more than sufficient for the amount charged, it's of course buffet style. There is always enough meat, vegetables, and fruits available. The style of furniture and interior is mixed Art Deco but never too loud. The Hauptbahhof or the Main train station is also within walking distance, and the location of the hotel makes is much easier to explore beautiful Leipzig.

This hotel lacks!

I'll start by saying that the hotel staff was helpful and friendly. They gave us a great recommendation for food and helped where they could. That said, the hotel itself is severely lacking the comforts you'd expect for the price. First off, the rooms are bare bones, there is no microwave, no fridge, no chairs other than some sort of tiny, cheap, metal barrel things. The closet is akin to a poorly made high school locker and there isn't much shelf space. Traveling with an infant has some demands, one of them is warm water and sterilization. To our surprise, the entire hotel does not have a microwave, the staff was able to provide us with hot water to steep our bottles however. After much disappointment, we finally checked out and the good news is that we had plenty of time to complain as we wheeled all of our luggage over hundreds of meters of cobblestone to get to the shopping mall which provides the closest parking for the hotel. Yes, the shopping mall and no, you cannot pull your car up to the front of the hotel.

Funky hotel, but neighborhood is in transition

The hotel is really cool & funky. It is kinda of quirky. The hotel staff was great. The neighborhood seems to be in transition for the better. It was a little difficult to park due to construction. You can park at the mall parking lot around the corner. The hotel is close to the Stazi museum and the main central part of the city, with lots of things to do and see.

This was a great hotel in terms of location, service, and amenities -

Location: The hotel is located in the pedestrian zone and a block away from the main square. This is ideal when there are events going on. The hotel is also a very short distance from the Markt train stop, yet only about a 5 or 10 minute walk to the main train station.

Service: The front desk personnel were always very friendly and helpful. They provided information about the local area, maps to help us get around, and good recommendations when we asked. The people working at the hotel really do make the difference.

Amenities: There is free WiFi which had a pretty good signal strength, and there was also a FREE coffee / cappuccino machine in the lobby, available 24/7! We always stopped for a coffee or hot chocolate on the way in or out. While there isn't a \"bar\" to speak of, there is a refrigerator with different types of beer or soft drinks at a reasonable price. That's handy when you want to have one more beer in the evening after getting back to the hotel. Lastly, we only had breakfast one day, but it was pretty good. For 9 euro, it was a reasonable buffet style with eggs, meats and cheeses.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay, and a great value for the price! Arthotel was only a bit more than the budget hotels, but seemed far above budget in terms of comfort. I would recommend it.

Just needed to stay overnight to catch an early flight out of Frankfort. Very clean, lots of extras like free water, chocolates, and a nice in room kitchen. About a 20 Euro ride to the airport, about 10 minutes away. Most hotels with shuttle service were about twice as much. The cab fair was a bargain. No traffic between hotel and airport even though it was rush hour. Only glitch was the cabbies GPS showed the hotel about a block off. The hotels sign needs to stand out a little better.

All around good.

The hotel is a little tricky to find, marked only by a small sign above the entrance, but it's worth looking for. It was a near perfect location for us, just inside the edge of the old part of the city within convenient walking distance to many of the places we wanted to visit. The hotel was wonderfully quiet, no TVs blaring in the lobby. The room was quiet and dark at night in spite of looking out over the street. The breakfast is not free, but it is superb and well worth the cost. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

This obviously very new (?) hotel features well designed modern rooms with 1-2 pieces of \"antique\" furniture as nice contrasting elements. It's right in the center and connections from there to other parts of the city are simple (with Tram or Taxi, e.g.). The price is remarkable good and the staff young and very friendly!

OK if you want a minimalist look

This hotel resembles a converted office block. You take the lift to the 2nd Floor and the rooms are then on floors 3 and 4. Our room was spartan, arty white wall minimalist look and is not something that invokes coziness. The bathroom was clean, but the toilet paper and shower gel ran out and was not replenished on the clean. Reception staff very nice and helpful. Overall lacked soul and probably would not stay again.

Minimalist interiors in busy town center.

The Hotel is brand new and is on the second floor of a new commercial building and situated in the centre of the old city on a very busy shopping street. The rooms are minimalist with high ceilings. Comfortable and clean. Checking in took a very long time the receptionist could not find my booking even though I gave him the Hotels.com Booking sheet with all he required information.He found it and then lost it again, it took forever, all I wanted was to check in and have a shower after two flights and a train journey all in one long very hot day. The check out was equally charmless. I always feel that the checking in and out process is key to a successful stay, first impressions are vital.

Ich war 2 Nächte dort. Ich bekam nicht das bestellte Zimmer mit der Begründung, das Hotal sei voll und es nicht anders zu lösen sei. Der WLan war kaputt. Dafür bekamen wir Frühstück geschenkt, welches ich ursprünglich in meiner Reservierung hatte, jedoch vom Hotel nicht bekannt. Im Zimmer war nur ein Stuhl für zwei, eine mini Kleiderstande ganz am Ende des Zimmers. Am Eingang keien Ablage für Schuhe, (nasse) Kleidung, keine Garderobe. Es fehlte an Steckdosen um das Bett herum. Der Fernseher war unscharf.
Die Sauberkeit ließ auch zum Wünschen übrig, Haare im Bett, muffige Bett- und Badwäsche. Schliere im Waschbecken.
Als Ausgleich zum Wlan durften wir uns Getränke vond er Rezeptiion kostenlos ins Zimmer nehmen.
Das Frühstück war okay, aber sehr wenig Auswahl, beide Tage das gleiche Angebot. Kaum frisches wurde angeboten. Für den Preis enttäuschend. Positiv war, dass den Rest der Brötchen in einem Korb auf einem Tisch den ganzen Tag zur Selbstbedienung blieb. Kaffee und Tee jederzeit zur Verfügung im Eingangsbereich.

Das Personal beim Frühstück war nicht sehr nett. Die Tassen waren alle beim Frühstück. Nach Nachfrage auf Tassen sagte der Mitarbeiter das er jetzt keine mehr holt und hat mir stattdessen einen Pappbecher gegeben. Ich habe dann auf den Kaffee verzichtet. Das Zimmer ist auch sehr sporadisch eingerichtet. Das Hotel werden wir nicht mehr buchen.
