Did a self check in as I arrived at 10:00.. the process was simple .. Room was great.. only thing that I didn’t like was the mattress ..

Clean and modern hotel

Very clean and well presented modern hotel. Located in a fairly non-descript area of the city, but only about a 10 minute walk from the main train station. Overall, we got exactly what we expected from our stay at this hotel. I’d be happy to stay again.

Perfect in every way!

I had a delightful 5-night stay at the Mercure Art Hotel. Everything about it---from the cheerful lobby and the friendly reception, to my tastefully decorated and comfortable room---was perfect. It is a mere 10 minute walk from the Hbh and central Leipzig, and the neighbourhood is safe and quiet. Only positive things to say about this hotel and its excellent staff. I will definitely return!

Recommended Leipzig Hotel

Recommended 4* Leipzig Hotel just a few minutes on foot from the Old Town (City Centre) and main station. Stayed in huge balcony room which was just a few Euros more expensive. Didn't have the breakfast so cannot comment. Only minor grouse is there was no black ((.e., English) tea in the bedroom and its wasn't available.

Modern, clean, comfortable hotel in Leipzig

We were warmly greeted by the staff and the hotel dog, Greta Garbo. We had a top floor suite with expansive views. Large desk for our laptop, large safe for the laptop. Excellent lighting. Very comfortable room. Excellent shower and bath. Convenient placement of electrical plugs on each side of the bed and around the room. Very good bed. Very good wifi.

Nice hotel for a quick stay in Leipzig

This hotel has a funky, modern design. There is cabinetry built around the bed that perfectly and expertly houses things like the room's safe, the mini-bar, closet space, and also becomes a little night table on each side of the bed complete with a power outlet on each side for convenient cell phone charging.

The hotel has nice, bold colours and my room had a large drawing of Keanu Reeves, which I thought was pretty funny.

The hotel has no parking. You can park on the street (which was completely packed when I got there); street parking is free after 8pm and until 9am the next day. Or you can park 2.5 blocks away at the nearby zoo's parking garage, for EUR6 per 24hours, but it didn't look like there was in/out privileges (granted, I didn't ask).

The location is a little ways away from the main downtown tourist area where the Bach museum is, and could probably easily be walked, however since I was planning to carry on to Berlin after visiting the museum, I decided to drive downtown and park again there. There is a very large parking garage underneath the markt.

I didn't partake in the hotel's breakfast service, however they did have a to-go offering of a cup of coffee and a muffin for EUR5, which I thought was a fantastic touch for those of us heading out early.

The Mercure is a good budget hotel in Leipzig

The Mercure is a good choice for a budget hotel walking distance to the altstadt. The rooms have a nice, updated style, but are also well designed with storage space. They also have a nicely stocked mini bar and free amenities such as a an electric kettle, with competitors such as Motel One don't have. We had a 1st floor room (2nd floor in USA terms), with a quiet, unexciting street scene without much traffic, which was good for us. The parking out front was ample and seemed cheap enough, so that alone was great. We would definitely stay here again. There is also a nice, cozy bar downstairs but we didn't use it. The lobby area is fairly spacious and seems comfortable.

The black and dark walls in the room give a gloomy impression.
Elecricity in the room is planned really strange: No electric socket near the table. How can one activate a laptop for more than 2 hours. The kettle's cable couldn't reach the electricity cocket so we had to put it on the flour near the bad. The supply of coffee, tea and suger was for one night only. They explained that they serve only 2 coffee bags as a present. Rediculous!
The room wasn't clean enough and the maintenece is bad. For example, the soap dispencer was falling on the shower flour and they didn't bother to fix it.
Only positive thing is that the location was convenient. Very close to main attreactions in this area and surrunded by transportation options.

I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Art Leipzig hotel. My room was very, clean, enough room, and quiet at night. The staff at the hotel was very, very friendly and very, very helpful!! The breakfast served at the hotel was very good. The price of my room at the hotel for 4 nights was very reasonable. And the hotel is located close to the train station and city tram stops. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely Leipzig

Leipzig is an unexpected jewel of a city. Thankfully this hotel is within 10 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). My time in the city - most of which just lay on the other side of the road from the Hauptbahnhof - was therefore used to the maximum. The public tram system is marvellous. There was an excellent tourist information office in the city centre.

The hotel was clean and easy to reach from the local train station. There didn't seem to be much happening in the neighborhood but the main city center was a quick 15 to 20 minute walk. The hotel was very quiet, not a lot of staffing present but those that were there were attentive. The room was spacious and clean and we had no complaints.

Of the 5 hotels I stayed at on this was definitely the best. It was bright and cheery and I loved the bathroom with the very roomy shower. I was about a 10 min. walk from the train station which wasn't great on a warm day, dragging a suitcase, but otherwise it was perfect! I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

We liked the hotel although there was only enough bedding and linens for one person. We had to request additional blankets which they responded to quickly. If staying in room on the main street it is quite loud with constant traffic. Also, the neighborhood which is close and behind the central train station didn't have much but was close to the downtown historic center. All in all in was a good stay.

Das gesamte Team war extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit und zugewandt.
Leider haben uns die Zimmer überhaupt nicht gefallen, zu klein zu verwinkelt. Das Bad schlecht ausgeleuchtet. Das Frühstück ist nicht besonders ansprechend. Dafür ist die Lage zentral zwischen Innenstadt und Gohlis gelegen.

Die Straße ist falsch angegeben.
Die Adresse des Parkhauses ist gar nicht angegeben. Sie entspricht auch nicht der Hoteladresse. Es gibt kein Schild das auf einen Parkplatz hinweist. Auch die Tatsache, dass es eine Tiefgarage ist, also man nach einem Tor Ausschau halten muss, ist nicht angegeben.
Trotz falscher Buchung (nachweislich technischer Fehler) durch hotels.com verweigerte man die Stornierung!
Vor Ort gab es nur eine Kontaktmöglichkeit und zwar per unauffälligem unbeschildertem \"Telefon\" außen am Gebäude. Auch dies konnte keinen Kontakt zur Firma, sondern nur zu einem Dienstleiste für Standardinfos, aufbauen. Also für mich und diesen Dienstleister und hotels.com stand keinerlei Kontakt zur Verfügung. Dieses Telefon hat so schlechten Empfang, dass mich die Gegenseite quasi gar nicht verstehen konnte. Es gab auch keinen Rückruf und der Verbindungsaufbau dauerte im Durchschnitt meiner 5 erfolgreichen Versuche bei über 3 Minuten.
Der vorher bestellt Code für die Tiefgarage wurde mir einfach niemals - auch nicht nach mehrfacher Nachfrage per E-Mail - geschickt.
Auch der zum Check-In nötige Buchungscode wurde nie an mich versendet. Somit hatte ich überhaupt keine Chance, mein Zimmer zu benutzen und musste ein ordentliches Hotel suchen!
Die Rezeption war ebenfalls mindestens seit 21:10 nicht besetzt, obwohl deren Infos hier und ihre eigene Telefonansage behaupten, dass sie bis 22:00 besetzt wäre.
Es gab nie eine Entschuldigung für irgendetwas hiervon!

Das Zimmer war größer als erwartet. Hinsichtlich Freundlichkeit des Personals und Sauberkeit des Zimmers gibt es keine Kritikpunkte. Lediglich bei der Anreise mit dem Kfz sollte bedacht werden, dass scheinbar nur eine geringe Anzahl an Parkplätzen zur Verfügung steht. Bei der Buchung war es nicht möglich, einen Parkplatz zu reservieren. Lösung des Problems: Parkhaus am Zoo nutzen..12 €/24h.

Ein schönes Hotel mit moderner Einrichtung in günstiger Lage. Unser Balkonzimmer im obersten Stockwerk war sehr geräumig, vor allem auch im Badezimmer. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und lecker. Zoo und Bahnhof sind fußläufig zu erreichen, aber auch eine Haltestelle des ÖPNV ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Gemütliches Bett und schön eingerichtetes Zimmer. Einfacher Check in und Check out. Sehr nah am Zentrum und trotzdem gute Parkmöglichkeiten.
Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, leider aber sehr schlechter Service. An beiden Tagen war nur 1 Person für den vollen Frühstückssaal eingeteilt, welche Geschirr abräumen sollte, das Buffet auffüllen und in der Küche spülen und vorbereiten sollte. Dies führte leider dazu, dass kein Besteck mehr da war, Brötchen nicht aufgefüllt waren und generell nur sehr schleppend nachgefüllt wurde.

Der Boden im Zimmer war nicht sauber, aber das Badezimmer war sehr sauber. Zuerst funktionierte die Zimmerkarte nicht, dann funktionierte die Klimaanlage im Zimmer nicht (sie schaltete sich nach ein paar Sekunden aus), aber das Schlimmste passierte am Tag des Check-outs, als ein Hotelangestellter morgens mein Zimmer betrat und überrascht war, dass das Zimmer belegt war.

Das Hotel war vom Bahnhof zu Fuß leicht erreichbar. An der Repzeption wurden wir herzlich empfangen , bezogen danach das Zimmer und wurden positv überrascht alles ok.

Das Zimmer war zwar klein, aber man hat dort alles, was man so braucht.

Alles in allem okay; ABER Klimaanlage ist Schlaftöter - KEIN Hinweis, wie diese Maschine abzustellen ist.
Empfehlenswet wäre auch der Hinweis, daß es auf der Straßenseite vis a vis KEINE Parkplätze gibt; sie sind (zeitlich) nur für Anlieger.

Muy buen hotel en un entorno que engaña

El hotel está perfecto. La calidad de las habitaciones, la amplitud, los servicios, la limpieza y la comodidad responden a la categoría del hotel. Durante el tiempo que estuve alojado, el staff fue muy agradable. Está situado además en una localización muy buena, cerca del centro, a cinco minutos de la estación de tren y muy cerca del zoo. Es perfecto para una visita turística de la ciudad. El entorno en el que está situado puede engañar, ya que es una zona, detrás de la estación, con edificios en ruinas y en renovación. Posiblemente en poco tiempo, cuando se complete la reurbanización de la zona, será inmejorable. No hay muchos servicios al lado mismo del hotel, pero dada la cercanía de la estación y el casco antiguo de la ciudad, no hay problema alguno.

Gutes Hotel in Zoonähe

War wegen des Deutschen Röntgenkongress in Leipzig. Von dem Hotel aus ist das Congress Zentrum wie auch die Innenstadt für erreichbar. Natürlich war mir auch wichtig das ich schnell am Zoo war.

Stadthotel eben

Ich hatte ein Standardzimmer gebucht mit dem Hinweis „ruhig bitte“.
Bekommen habe ich ebensolchens zur Seitenstrasse hin.
Da im Bad noch benutzte Handtücher vom Vorgänger hingen und ich das reklamiert habe, bekam ich (allerdings erst auf Nachfrage meinerseits) ein Upgrade:
gleiches Zimmer, nur zum Innenhof und somit leise - Aufpreis hierfür wären 20€ gewesen!

Trotzdem schnell und relativ unkompliziert geregelt - also ok.

Wochenendaufenthalt im Frühling

Das Hotel ist ein modernes Hotel und entspricht dem Stil einer Herberge für den typischen Geschäftsreisenden. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer und die technischen Einrichtungen sind in einem sehr gutem Zustand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit.
Parken direkt am Hotel ist schwierig, aber die Parkmöglichkeiten in den Parkhäusern der Umgebung (Hauptbahnhof, Zoo) sind sehr gut.
Die Hotelbar ist modern eingericht, hat aber nicht unbedingt ein Wohlfühlambiente. Für Cocktails oder \"Absacker\" hat die Innenstadt Bars, Kneipne oder Clubs.
Im Vergleich zum Zimmerpreis ist das Frühstück sehr teuer. Für preisbewusste Besucher lohnt sich ein kurzer Spaziergang zum Bäcker (50m entfernt) mit einem Frühstücksgedeck zum Bruchteil ds Hotelpreises. Wer ein paar Schritte mehr gehen mag, hat in 10 Min die Möglichkeit zum Frühstück am Hauptbahnhof bzw. nach 15 min in der Innenstadt.
Wir werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen.

Ich persönlich mag nicht so gerne Teppichboden. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße, was sehr laut war, zumal auch noch die Straßenbahn dort fuhr. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Wenn die vermeintliche Hotelchefin (blond, Brille) mit ihrem Hund vor dem Gast durch die Eingangstür geht, ist schon alles gesagt. Sie wurde auch nicht freundlicher, man kann die Angestellten nur bedauern. Als Gast spürt man die große Spannung. Ansonsten: kleine, gut ausgestattete Zimmer, sauber. Leider nichts zum Wohlfühlen.

overall a very nice Hotel. We enjoyed our stay except for the issue with making up the room. The hotel staff was very apologetic and we took it in our stride.

Das Personal war freundlich. Das Zimmer war klein, aber sehr sauber. Die Matratze war ok.
Wir würden beim nächsten Besuch, wieder hier buchen.

hotel met openbaar vervoer goed bereikbaar

het hotel is zeer dicht bij tramhalte gelegen. Een halte van treinstation, dus zeer centraal voor toerist.
ontbijt ook prima.
