Det tog en time at checke ind, restauranten var ikke eksisterende, ladeboks i kælderen var med forkerte numre, så det var et større puslespil at få bilen opladt.

The rooms were modern, spacious and cleaned to a high standard. The pool and sauna were also well maintained and clean.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is well-situated within walking distance of Leipzig city centre, making it ideal for a city break.

The hotel was good for our stay in Leipzig. We enjoy the pool for swimming in the morning and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
The hotel is next to the main train station and the city. The staff were very friendly and we enjoy our stay.

Das Hotel selbst bietet einen hervorragenden Service und ist gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmer ließen jedoch zu wünschen übrig, da es sich um ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel handelt und die grundlegenden Annehmlichkeiten, wie sie bei anderen Ketten üblich sind, nicht kostenlos angeboten werden. Beispiele hierfür sind eine Kaffeemaschine und eine Minibar. Alle Dienstleistungen sind kostenpflichtig, darunter Zahnbürste oder Zahnpasta sowie Bademäntel und Hausschuhe.

der sauna/poolbereich hat keine Handtücher, die ausliegen und es war alles komplett nass, das Wasser stand überall.
wenn man 40min vor Check-in Zeit einchecken möchte, soll man noch 10€ zahlen...

Wonderful hotel

We just had a one-night-stay with two kids, so we didn’t get to spend much time at the hotel.
However from what we did see, the hotel seemed like a place we definitely would come back to for a more thorough “inspection” of all the hotel has to offer.

Rating the service-level might be unfair, but we had no contact with any staff, since everything was digitalized - which worked smoothly.

Our kids have ordered a city-vacation next time, and we will very likely make the trip to Leipzig and stay at Penta Hotel for that.

terrible hotel, more like a 2star. From the staff who couldn't fashion a smile if their life depended on it (I'm looking at you vietnamese woman!), to the cleaners who couldn't be bothered to clean my room (what are you only going to clean when I leave?) I pay 4 star prices to have my room cleaned! If you're trying to be environmentally-eco-great thunberg friendly, let me know and I'll go somewhere else, like motel one!
The breakfast was an absolute mess, it's actually in the main reception lobby??? I have never seen that before, where next, in the toilet?? No omelette station, very basic offerings, and a crowd of people queuing up like cattle at an abattoir.
No water in the room, or in the lobby. No fridge in the room. Half the plug points weren't working. How the hell is it a 4 star???

Rigtig godt hotel med flinke og hjælpsomme ansatte. Rigtig meget for pengene. Ligger super fint tæt på centrum. Eneste minus var parkering, som var i en parkeringskælder til 24 euro pr døgn. Dejligt værelse med masser af plads. Vi fik et værelse med to toiletter, hvilket var super fint. Vi kommer gerne igen. V

Lieber nur für Frühstück

Bademantel sind gegen 5€ für Sauna. Mal bezahlt man dafür nal nicht. E Ladestation ist zu Langsam und kostet 10€. Parkplatz kostet 24€ und finde zu teuer. Im Bar kann mann die Rechnung nicht auf Zimmer schreiben lassen. Zimmer sind schön dekoriert aber veraltet. Die Duschen im Saunabereich haben ein schlechtes Geruch jedes Mal. Bademantel oder Handtücher müssen vorab von Rezeption abgeholt werden. Nur Zeitverschwendung. Frühstück ist sehr gut und neben dem anderen Bedingungen ausnahmsweise.

Wellness und guter Startpunkt

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage. Es ist in Laufreichweite vom Hauptbahnhof. Die Innenstadt, Museen, Oper etc. sind auch gut zu erreichen. Trotzdem war es nachts angenehm ruhig, dass man problemlos mit offenen Fenster schlafen konnte. Das Hotel ist in einem guten Zustand. Der Wellnessbereich mit Fitness und Pool vollkommen ausreichend. Die Option des Late-checkout war sehr hilfreich und an genehm. Das ganze Hotel hat einen guten modernen Stil.

This is a nice hotel. I really appreciated that the swimming pool is open 24/7, but I was disappointed to find that the sauna is only available until 10 PM. Additionally, the swimming pool water was a bit cold.

Our room was spacious, which was lovely. It was also very clean, and I really liked that. The receptionists and staff were extremely nice and polite, making our stay even more pleasant.

For the price this is a great option! Clean, convenient, nice staff, great location if you’re attending an event nearby.

Breakfast buffet was really good! A crazy madhouse on a Saturday morning, but still well worth the price.

I’d definitely stay here again!

Be Aware: No Air-Conditioning

Be aware that this hotel does not have air-conditioning. Even though the weather was cool outside, our room was swelteringly hot. I went to the front desk to report a broken thermostat, and I was told that in “winter” there is no A/C in Germany. I found this hard to believe, as our room the prior night on a nearby city had a lovely digital thermostat that we could set to any temperature we wanted. Upon stressing to the front desk person that our room was too hot to sleep in, I was told to “just open a window” (I am not making this up), which, given our first-floor room facing the street, added a new meaning to the term “sleepless night”. Also be aware that there is no telephone in the room. To reach the front desk from your room they expect you to call the hotel’s main line on your mobile phone. If you have phone service from another country, and do not have a local calling plan, then to reach the front desk from your room you will need to make an international call. One of my worst hotel stays in many years of international travel.

Wir kommen wieder

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Aber jeden Tag frische Handtücher muss nicht sein. Das machen die Wenigsten zu Hause auch. War gut gemeint...Schade das wir nicht im Hotel zu Abend essen konnten. Da die Lokführer da waren und die ganze Lobby eingenommen haben. Auf der FB standen Fernsehsender (Sky) die leider nicht empfangen werden konnten. Das Frühstück war super. Vor unserer nächsten Reise nach Leipzig, werden wir auf jeden Fall versuchen wieder ein Zimmer im Penta Hotel zu buchen. Vielen Dank

On arrival I requested two things . Fan and use of the pool.both was ignored in my communication to the hotel.
Secondly I admit I only booked room for one. However it was for two my fiancé & myself.
The reception lady thought I brought a prostitute the way she said to me then my fiancé. That really pissed me and my fiancé off on arrival.
To top it all I ordered room service as it was a special occasion for us celebrating.my fiancé ordered the food over the telephone whilst ordering the lady on the phone asked are you having a party ordering 3 meals and 3 drinks. My fiancé again was upset being challenged in this way. We just wanted food and drinks for our pleasure of the room I paid top money for. I checked out I asked for the manager but no one came.I explained to the receptionist who couldn’t have given a damm.
For this total experience I spent over 300€ to be pissed off and not recognised as being a good customer.
I’m so angry of the lack of service and disrespect I work across EU this is the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced but what hurt the most was my German fiancé was so upset. I’m still waiting for any update from the hotel I’m sure I won’t get one. This hotel is poor on service my customer journey was terrible I don’t go and spend my money over 300€ for a poor one night stay.

On the ground floor everything is great. Check in staff, bar staff amazing, restaurant great and food lovely. Above ground floor everything is poor. Stayed for 3 nights with 2 colleagues, neither of their rooms were cleaned throughout the trip. Found an empty vodka bottle under my bed. Rooms boiling hot and air con didn’t work in any of our rooms. Rooms incredibly basic, no kettle or water! I travel most weeks and to not have a kettle or coffee making facilities in a hotel room is completely unacceptable. Literally just a bed, tv, bathroom and desk

Pleasant overnight stay

The hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from the station and old town and easy to navigate to. We came by car and there is free parking in the street behind the hotel (and others nearby) if you are parsimonious, and lucky enough to find a free space (in the words of the receptionist) - access only from this direction when you have your room key. The hotel itself is lovely, modern and a bit funky but in a consistent and nice style. There are few extras in the room (no kettle for example) but that didn't distract from its ambience.

As it is part of a chain, you can't discover everything on the website, and you get access to pressreader to keep up on newspapers and magazines you miss from home. On the flip side, the wellness area doesn't open the sauna until 2:00pm, but it is pleasant with everything we needed, jacuzzi, pool, and sauna with rest area that we used in the evening (book ahead for a place with the current restrictions).

We didn't eat there as we wanted to spend more time exploring Leipzig. I have never stayed at a Pentahotel before, but will certainly look out for them now in the UK and in other cities abroad in future.

Good clean and friendly hotel. Quiet yet just 5 minute walk to centre of Leipzig. Excellent breakfast. Only criticism was overcrowding at breakfast on saturday morning, had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Other mornings were fine. Our second time stsying hete, happy to reccomend it.

I had pre paid my stay 2 weeks previously and noticed i had been charged a second time for approx. 40 GBP more. 6 days later I haven’t been paid it back.
I had customers and we ate at the hotel and when I checked my bill there were at least 6 drinks (cocktails) which we didn’t order or have.
I have contacted the hotel on returning home which is 5 days ago and I haven’t had a reply about either issue.

There is a lack of staff at check in and out and the bar which is combined. You wait for ever to get someone's attention which is annoying when you need to catch a train! Otherwise nice and funky place. Bar and lounge area great, but one snag......the draft beer is a bit lukewarm. Shame as it is my favourite, i.e. Beck's. Same problem when I stayed a year ago. Location is nice and quiet and yet only 8 minutes to the old cobbled square in the altstadt

The receptionist was not aware that the room was already payed via Hotel.com.
Renovation wouldn't hurt. Also adding a cattle in the room would be nice.

The hotel was fine - but not close to either the Hauptbahnhof or the old city if you're walking. And while the hotel was clean on the surface there were random hairs everywhere, including the bathroom walls and the sheets. And having blonde hair I knew none of them were ours. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Decent hotel with good location but some issues

We have several issues with Pentahotels that other travelers should be aware of. First - no refrigerator in the room. It is nice the room was a huge suite - but I'd trade half the space for a fridge and in room coffee maker (supposedly there is free coffee and tea in the bar area - but we were charged three euros). On a long stay the lack of a fridge is a huge issue. An even bigger complaint is the \"free\" Internet access. For free you get an abysmal 256K connection. Useless for video or just about anything but checking email. You can pay $8/day and upgrade to 5GB - which is still slow for 2017. Parking was another pricey \"extra\" at 18 Euros/day - and no \"in and out.\" The maid service was lacking. Some days we got clean bedding, some we did not. Likewise clean/dry towels. The towels were an issue because nothing would dry in the rooms due to local humidity. The pillows (two per king bed) were terrible. Useless fluffy sacks that provide no support. The furniture in the suite was, other than the bed, horribly uncomfortable.The hotel location is very good and the staff were nice. But next trip to Leipzig we'll try a different hotel.

Very good value for money.

This is a very fine hotel in a business section of the City but within easy walking distance of the train station and city centre. The staff was unusually helpful and friendly. The pool was great for swimming laps. You need to pay extra for fast WiFi, which was a bit annoying, especially considering that connection is even then difficult and balky. I did not try the restaurant.

Issue first as said we only paid for 5 people not 6 showed booking confirmation and it was sorted only one bottle of water for the whole 3 day stay we thought it would be renewed daily and had to ask for toilet roll as it wasn't renewed when cleaners did the room. Breakfast expensive at €19 so only went once. Noisy outside as delivery at 4:30 am and 6:30 am. Room was also to hot. Apart from this room service was quickly delivered and I asked for an iron and ironing board which was delivered to my room straight away and left for the duration of my stay. If you don't mind outside noise early in the morning for the money this hotel is good. Wifi was very slow that you gave up

Terrible wifi and phone (Vodafone) reception. Unable to connect via own 4g - even paid wifi was terrible.
Fine if you're trying to get away from it all - but unable to even access local web pages or email.
Club rooms not well advertised but look to be good value.

I liked this hotel a lot. Room was great, breakfast buffet also great. wifi had some issues. no concierge (I guess this service is becoming extinct) some of reception staff were very helpful, others minimally helpful... could use one or two more peeps at front desk for quicker service. Pool was crystal clear and very nice for an early morning swim, although the adjacent Jacuzzi was actually cooler temp than the pool so I was not happy about that. Would like to visit again in warmer weather as Leipzig looks to be a fun place to bike around... still a lot of peeps were riding around when I walked from train station to the hotel & helped me find it.

Nice Hotel ! location difficult to find

This hotel is nice modern design, clean, many facilities, cheap breakfast if order early. Bed confortable, good bathroom (no bath) . I must point out that this hotel is not easy to find if you come from main train station . Since all the dowtown area is very easy to find, not the hotel even thought it is not that far ! It is not in the same direction as others hotels and center of the city. Leipzig is a city to visit and this hotel is a good place to stay.It is quiet. Air conditioning works fine.

The hotel is hip and different. Check in is at the 24/7 bar and everything else is just a little different.

The hotel is well-located for walking the old town. The immediate area around the hotel is quiet and there's not much at all. 5 minutes walk into the city and everything is available.

Room, bed and bathroom were all clean and comfortable, with two exceptions. The pillows are awful. I asked for a replacement and promptly received one. But still woefully low. My wife used her neck pillow usually used on planes
The second exception is the bathroom towels, which seemed thin and small to us. It seems odd that such a funky hotel skimps on these items.

Overall, we enjoyed the hotel, found the staff helpful and liked Leipzig.

Good enough to warrant the price.

The room and free wifi are the main reasons to stay here. Our room was quite large even by American standards and very clean and modern. The bathroom was similarly large and though our shower sprayed water a bit, it was manageable. The only downside to the room was the \"king size\" bed was of course two twins pushed together. Great service (except one lazy bartender) and good location; three blocks from the edge of the Fußgängerzone and theater, 6 from the train station. It's a little pricey, maybe a little too much, but in the end we have no complaints.

Welcoming, comfortable - shame about the WiFi

Hotel is clean & comfortable and within an easy walk of the city centre for the Leipzig Bachfest. Gym and pool are an added bonus and the meals & drinks I've had so far have been very good and reasonably priced.

So why am I not giving 5 stars? Its the WiFi - \"up to 256Kbps\"
High speed wifi may be \"available\" but it didn't say \"at extra cost\" when I booked... And its quite a large extra cost which I'm very reluctant to pay. Come on guys this is 2016. 256K??

Wonderful stay at Penta

All around, the pentahotel was a great place to stay. From the good food for breakfast & nice menu for order lunch or dinner, to the incredibly friendly & accommodating staff, to the views from the room, to the comfort of the beds. All around great hotel!

Close to the center, but not in it. Well appointed

Hotel and room were fine, very comfortable. Unhappy about 2 speed wifi- advertised free wifi, but it was at a very low speed. Better wifi had to be paid for. Many good hotels in Leipzig for them to pull this off.

Good location, quiet neighborhood

I made my last minute reservation at this hotel and it was a great choice. Great location, quiet (which is important to me), clean, and friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

Spacious room in a fine hotel

We spent 3 nights at the Penta hotel. It is very well-situated, just a short walk to the compact city centre. Our room was excellent. We really enjoyed the fact that we had a separate living area from the bedroom, which meant that we had much more space to spread ourselves out. Bathroom facilities, too, were excellent.

We didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on this, other than to say that we drew the line at spending 19 euros per person for breakfast when there were so many excellent bakery/cafes in the city centre which provided a really good breakfast at a much reduced price.

Overall, this was an excellent hotel for a city break in a city which is very much worth visiting.

Penta pleasure

Our second visit lived up to our expectations. If you want a very comfortable, quiet room and a delicious breakfast with lots of fresh food and variety (and maybe dinner) in a relaxed atmosphere hotel - with leisure facilities and a huge reception area with bar, pool table, comfy sofas, etc. All with in a very few minutes walk of the main station, old town, shopping centre, Opera House, etc. then look no further.,Pentahotel Leipzig won't disappoint you.

Well located, comfortable hotel

The decor is good fun and it's very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, especially when the hairdryer wasn't working and they replaced it straight away.

I thought the standard of cleaning each day was quite poor though.

It was good having wifi, but was annoying that once we'd checked out we weren't able to use it whilst we had a drink in the bar.

The reason I probably wouldn't go back is because when I used the toilets I was annoyed to find that the ladies toilet had a sign saying 'shopping' and the men's had a sign saying 'football'. I find this kind of lazy stereotyping quite offensive and would probably pick somewhere else next time as a result

Great hotel, funky reception area and bar. Rooms reasonably spacious. Breakfast quite good. Easy 5-minute walk into town, maybe 7-10 minute walk to the train station (which by the way is one of the nicest train stations I have ever seen!).

Hotel is good - I was travelling for business so I had to use internet a lot - even by buying the \"business\" package it was very slow therefore couldn't use it. Didn't get any refund - beside that it's a great place - service at the bar is so so

Fun Hotel

Fun Hotel. Open plan reception, bar, restaurant, 2 pool tables, play stations and library section. The hotel also has a leisure facility. Centrally located just a few minutes walk to shopping centre.
Food and service excellent. Rooms nice. Great hotel for 1 or more nights.

Fun location

We only spent one evening in this hotel, but enjoyed the location immensely. The entire reception area is a massive lounging bar with plenty to keep one entertained. Outside of the hotel though, it is a little bit of a journey to arrive at anything else to do. However, if you are up for a 15 minute walk, the brewery in the train station, a large mall, and the university are all accessible. A very nice hotel which I would definitely stay in again.

Great pool; no refrigerator in the room

Hard to find the hotel. Once we arrived, all was fine. Good pool and great service.

I have meds that need to be refrigerated and a gluten allergy -- the lack of a refrigerator was a hassle. We spent an extra 66 euros for the breakfast (which -- though tasty -- did not have a lot of gluten-free options and could have been improved)

Funky hotel close to the city. Good value.

The pentahotel in Leipzig is a young, modern,,funky hotel close to the city centre. Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall good value.
