This is an excellent hotel on the edge of Leipzig city centre and Old Town and within a 10 minute walk of the shops and main attractions. The staff at Reception were most welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was particularly good and great value for money. Hotel Dorint would be an excellent choice for anyone visiting the beautiful city of Leipzig.

Dated but very comfortable room where everything worked as it should. Reception was helpful eg lending us umbrellas. We liked complimentary drinks for no housekeeping. Breakfast was superb and delicious in very pleasant surroundings but the only evening bar snacks offered were frozen pizzas. The restaurant seemed pricey. Overall, would recommend.

A good basic hotel in need of some refurbishment (the shower was disastrous). It is convenient to the centre and provides a great breakfast. Be warned parking is 18 euro per night extra plus a high 15 euro charge for our small dog.

Very happy with the standard and cleanliness of the hotel.
Mislaid an important item during our stay. Staff went out of their way to help me find the item. Particularly the night receptionist and the breakfast room staff, a credit to the hotel. I am please to say the item was found, thank you.

This hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station if you have luggage, otherwise, not bad. Our room was large , clean and comfortable. The WiFi was very slow. We thought breakfast was expensive for what we usually eat so we went in search of breakfast every morning.

Modern hotel within 15 minutes walk of the centre. The staff on reception were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable the only downside were the very flimsy pillows which made it difficult to get comfortable
Breakfast was good and i cannot comment on dinner as we ate out

A big bonus was that they have their own car park beneath the hotel. I would stsy again

Generally OK needs more atmosphere in the bar.

Our stay was a good one in general. Glasses smelt funny at the bar, but other than that all was ok. No atmosphere at all.

Rooms were fine. No noise heard in the night. Bathroom was clean and the shower was good! Very hot and powerful.

Didn’t have breakfast.

Not bad, not great

The Dorint is a chain of hotels originally from East Germany. It is 'old school', formal, but geared for the bus crowds, either pensioneers or sports teams, etc. The room was very comfortable. There was no internet for four days (!) which in 2019 is a tad hard to justify, but they made an effort in the lobby. The biggest issue is that you will walk an extra unnecessary 12 minutes from the Gewandhaus/Opera/start of old town for truly no reason when you can stay at the Radisson or Motel One which would be my suggestion. Bfast was very good but expensive at 17 euros. Just eat next door at the bakery or across the street. (The hotel falls right in between two tram stops so it is almost not worth it...)

Stayed for two nights. Good service and comfy room. Good wifi. It's a short 5-10min walk to the city centre therefore accessible and not too noisy. Breakfast was abit limited in variety though.

Fantastic hotel - very clean

I had a great experience with this particular hotel. As an American that doesn't speak a lick of German, they were very helpful in answering any questions or concerns. It is walking distance from the Center or downtown area (maybe 10 minute walk).

Stayed 1 night as a stop off from long road trip from Poland to Uk. Comfortable room, enjoyed using the fitness suite and reasonable walking distance to attractive city centre made a lovely break from the journey. Free parking on street a couple of hundred metres up road.

Only somewhat disappointed:

Not really close to anything touristy. It was located a good twenty minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof at the centre of the old town. It was close to the university, however.

Only two lights worked in the room. The bathroom light and the one on the desk. (Perhaps there was a trick that I was supposed to know in order to get them working.)

The hotel served xtremely small drinks at the bar. And, the bartender seemed not to know how to make basic drinks. I asked for a martini. It was sickly sweet! The second drink, a negroni, the bartender had not heard of and made no attempt to look up or make.

People in Goth drag seemed to congregate near the entrance. (Perhaps there was a Goth conference in town.)

The room was very clean but the decor was somewhat dated.

Noisy trucks directly below my window woke me up early.

The breakfast was hearty and got me off to a good start.

All this said, I had a great time in Leipzig.

Alhtough this hotel is very nice and is well located, a taxi from/to the airport costs about 50 euros. At the airport I realized that similar hotels do offer airport shuttle. If I have to add 100 euros to the cost of the stay, I might consider other options closer to the Opera, Nikolai Kirche, etc.

The room was not cleaned properly. There were lots of long hair on the carpet and sticky patches on the bedside table. The staff was helpful when asked but not interested if we enjoyed our stay overall. All in all very anonymous and not very welcoming.

The rooms are well appointed and clean, the staff is friendly. The sauna and spa is nice. The fitness area is very limited just a couple of machines. The rate was good. The location is a bit further from the main shopping area but it is within walking distance.

I had to sleep in the bathtub

At my late arrival, the small bar area had a large noisy crowd. The desk clerk was on a call and did not acknowledge me until he was done chatting. He was aloof. I asked NOT to be in a room near noise like from the bar. He replied sarcastically \"The room, 201, is on floor two\", . It was, at the front edge of the building, in a spot that stuck out from the building at the intersection of two very busy cut through roads. Under my room was an echo chamber with no room under it, and just above the entrance to the right, so I got all that noise as well. The exterior wall was paper thin. I am a seasoned traveller, and can sleep on trains, planes, in hostels, and during hurricanes and earthquakes. I could not, however, sleep in this room. I asked for a change but was told there were no other rooms available. I took the bedding and placed it in the tub and closed the bathroom door. It was the only spot where the roar was not deafening. The next day I asked for earplugs. NIght two was not much better, even with the plugs. At 4AM I awoke and went to use the complementary computer. At around 5AM a guy can in screaming at me in German with a harsh look on his face. I told him that I did not understand German. In broken English he scolded \"YOU CAME IN OFF THE STREET!!!! I showed him my door key and told him I was in a room that I could not sleep in. He said \"sorry\" closed the door and left. Night 3 I was so tired. and with other aids, I finally got some sleep.

Nice Hotel, but no air conditioning

Almost everything was good about this hotel, but it is a little bit outside the main centre of the city - only 5 mins walk, but a very quiet area. Our only other issue was the heat - the room had no A/C (which I'm normally quite happy to avoid), but on a hot night in mid-summer it was very hard to sleep even with the window fully open.

We only stayed here two days, but it was a very pleasant stay. The staff was quite nice and equally willing and able to either speak English or put up with our terrible German.

Instead of a double bed we had two twins pushed together, which is apparently normal in Europe but very inconvenient. Do most European couples not like each other very much? They should at least latch the beds together somehow, so that the person who ends up sleeping in the crack doesn't find themselves gradually sliding down toward the floor as the two beds drift slowly apart in the night.

We had breakfast delivered to our room both mornings and it was very good. There was quite a lot of food and the scrambled eggs were amazing.

Hotel Mercure in Leipzig does the business

Set back from the busier thoroughfares, this modern 4star was still only a short but enjoyable stroll from the old town. Whether after a concert evening or a day's sightseeing, it was a pleasure to return to the polite staff and spotless room. All breakfast tastes were entertained and the bar was well stocked. Nothing was unexpected and everything was welcome.

Das Zimmer war bei Bezug extrem kalt, das Fenster trotz der Temperatur um den Gefrierpunkt nur angelehnt, und der Heizkörper funktionierte nicht. Die sehr freundliche und auch sehr hilfsbereite Rezeptionsmitarbeiterin kam schnell mit Werkzeug bewaffnet zur Hilfe, woraufhin sich der Heizkörper spontan erwärmte, nur schaffte es dieser aufgrund der ganz und gar ausgekühlten Wände bis zum nächsten Tag nicht, ein akzeptables Raumklima herzustellen. Zum Frühstück erwartete uns dann auch noch ein eiskaltes Restaurant, es hieß, die Heizung sei defekt, Monteure auf der Anfahrt.

朝食会場にはフルーツも豊富にそろえてあり、とてもヘルシーでした。ベーコンや卵など、いわゆる朝食ビュッフェに並ぶものが用意されていたのでほとんどの方は困ることは無いと思います。
冷房は利いていたのかもしれませんが、ちょうど涼しいタイミングだったこともありほとんど使用していません。

Trevlig personal. Rent och snyggt. Vi bodde tre nätter och ingen städning utfördes.
Frukosten är högst ordinär. Det varma hade varmhållts länge även om vi var där tidigt.
Biergarten låste sig själv så man fick gå runt huset för att komma in igen. Parkeringen var perfekt, med hiss direkt upp. Baren var ett skämt. De mest klassiska drinkar kunde de inte göra.

Sehr freundliches Personal sowohl Rezeption als auch im Restaurant beim Frühstücksservice. Lage top, Innenstadt 10 Min zu Fuss, Strassenbahn max 5 Minuten zu Fuss. Konsum 3 Minuten entfernt. Zimmer leider ohne Safe und Kühlschrank, Klima aber funktionierte sehr gut und ruhig, Wlan mittelmäßig schnell. Bad dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Duschwanne, leider aber beim Duschen alleine stand das Bad unter Wasser. Insgesamt war auch das Housekeeping nur für das Nötigste da. Auffüllung Tee- Kaffeebar im Zimmer Fehlanzeige, Böden saugen nur bei An- oder Abreise nicht bei Zwischreinigung leider. Oberflächen abwischen eher nicht und generell wird man beim CheckIn daraufhingewiesen, dass Zwischenreinigung nur auf Verlangen durchgeführt wird. Frühstück für 21 Euro p. P. war okay gewesen aber nicht mehr. Rollmops 3 Tage lang als einziger Fisch, Wurst- und Käseauswahl gut, Spiegelei auf Wunsch, ansonsten warme Auswahl 3x beim Frühstück the same. Kaffeemaschine gut aber eine Maschine am Wochenende das führt zu teils langen Wartezeiten in der früh, Teeauswahl mit ALTHAUS Tees sehr gut. Insgesamt für dieses Preis- Leistungsverhältnis würde ich in Leipzig andere Hotels vorziehen.

Hyggeligt hotel med skøn udsigt og høj service

Hotellet ligger oppe i bjergene med en skøn udsigt over Salzburg.
Ejeren er meget imødekommende og spørger ind til, hvad man skal opleve og kommer med sine egne inputs.
Værelserne er store og komfortable.
Morgenmaden er god, der mangler ikke noget.
Aftensmaden er virkelig lækker. Det kan også ses, da det er et populært sted for de lokale at besøge.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommene Zimmer (aber immerhin mit Klimaanlage, TV, Wasserkocher und Kühlschrank) mit leichten Schimmelansätzen im Bad und zwei einzelnen statt einem Doppelbett. Parken etwas teuer. Sonst gut. Freundliches Personal, Zimmer wird nicht ungefragt mittendrin gereinigt.
