Atrocious, we arrived at the hotel to check in to be told that our room had been double booked and resold to people paying a higher rate. We were moved to an alternative hotel which was not what we booked. Receptionist and 'Manager' were as helpful as a chocolate tea pot. AVOID THIS hotel.

On the day of our departure, we had to leave the hotel at 12 noon sharp or pay an extension fee. We are often in the Ibis hotel, and you can extend for free for about 60 minutes on the day of departure. We drank 2 cups of coffee in the lobby. The cups were tiny, and we paid 8€. I have the impression that this hotel is quite clammy.
At check-in, there was a young Asian lady who always rolled her eyes when we mentioned wishes for our room (e.g., not near the elevator, quiet room). We avoided this person until the day of departure. All other hotel employees were super friendly :-)
The seating in the lobby (especially tables, shelf by the TV) is probably not cleaned for days and is covered in dust. Sorry :-(

Everything was just perfect. The view of the city was also great from my room. Very colourful & lively. The only thing I wished for were USB outlets! Would prevent the need for multiple universal adaptors :)

The hotel is perfectly located. It is close to the train station where all the trollies trams and buses go and it is also within walking distance of all of the major attractions. It is highly recommended, and we would gladly stay there next time you’re in Leipzig.

We stayed here for 1 night as we were travelling for football. The hotel is very close to the station and to the city, there are also trams nearby too.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff we very friendly and helpful.
The bar area was pleasant and if you joined the loyalty scheme you got a voucher to use towards drinks which was helpful.

Good quality hotel located near to Leipzig central station and also a short walk from the town centre. An ideal place to stay if you are intending to make full use of the public transport system. A bonus from this Hotel is a complimentary ticket for all public transport within city zone 110 for each day during your stay.

The hotel was somewhat below my expectations - as I say in my title, I would put it on a par with a Travelodge. Once I got my head round that, it wasn't too bad, but it would certainly be more appropriate for a 1 or 2 night stay than the 6 nights that we did - there isn't a residents' lounge of any sort, the restaurant and bar are uninspiring, there's a lack of storage facilities in the bedrooms. But the staff are good, the hotel's location is good and the free public transport in the city is very useful, so overall I came away fairly satisfied.

OK hotel close to the city centre
Standard rooms are very small and fairly noisy as there is a busy junction just outside. Sadly there was also a large active construction site next to the hotel when I stayed.

Although I was in a room at the front of the hotel, facing Wagner-strasse, the room was very quiet. I was never disturbed by traffic noise or other guests. Even the air conditioning was quiet. I slept well.

For work I have stayed in Intercity hotels in various German cities, and usually they are mediocre. However, the Intercity Hotel in Leipzig is an exception: modern, clean and comfortable rooms.

The location is hard to beat. 2 short blocks from the train station. Its on the ring road surrounding the inner city. Its a pretty conventional nice-ish (i.e. Mariott $100-$150/night level) European hotel (meaning the rooms are little smaller but trendier than the US).
But my experience was terrible. I had a pre-paid reservation. Which means if I change my mind and don't show up I am out $100s of dollars. But when I arrived tired from a day of travel at 11:00PM (hardly late for a large urban hotel), they had overbooked and given my room away. I had to wait while they called a cab and sent me somewhere else (that was not as nice a hotel). And worst, I had to pack up from the 2nd hotel and return to Intercity for the rest of my stay. Maybe I'm old school, but when I pay for something, I expect them not to then give it away to somebody else if it is convenient and they can make more money. The person didn't say how many, but it was clear they had a list of people who had their rooms given away that night - I was far from the only one this happened to. And then just to top it all off they somehow made my WiFi expire at midnight on my last night. So when I woke up in the morning I had to go down to the lobby just to get WiFi.

Comfortable stay downtown Leipzig
We are a couple in our early 40's who travelled to Leipzig for the WGT festival held in May. We had booked a standard double room, but at checking in we upgraded it to executive room for extra 10 euros per night. The room was comfortable, clean and located at the very quiet area of the hotel. The views were not great, but our choice was to book a quiet room, so it was OK with us. The hotel staff was excellent all the time.

This Hotel is in a great location in the City Centre. Close to everything you need, food, transportation, government building, mall, universities, attractions. The breakfast buffet had many options and everything I tried was delicious. The staff were very kind and helpful. The TV had a good amount of channels. The bathroom was very nice. Only thing I missing was a clothes iron and complementary lotion.

Not a 4* hotel!
This is billed on hotels.com as a 4* hotel. It is not. There is no room service and and no housekeeping department to call. You have to go down to reception for everything. The room was sparse and austere and there are no shower gels or toothpaste in the room or even soap! This hotel is centrally located but not a 4* hotel and hence not worth the nighly rate. Breakfast ok but not happy about having to get dressed to go down to reception at 10pm at night to ask for soap and tissues.

InterCity Hotel Leipzig
Stayed here 16 /17th August 2014 on a rail trip around the Saxony area. Prior to stay we requested a room at back of hotel, but on arriving only ones available were at front by the busy main road. Despite double glazing traffic noise, particularly the trams which ran all night, was quite loud and I would warn light sleepers like myself to be aware of this before booking.

My partner and I loved this hotel. We checked in two hours before check in time and the reception had a room available and also provided us with a double room instead of a twin room. The hotel provides you with a free public transport card during your stay which also allows you to go to the airport on your check out date. Very Convenient
Very close to the train station so it was most convenient for a late arrival. Good price, excellent, quiet air conditioned rooms. They even gave me a metro ticket good the days of my stay for tram, bus and S-bahn. I will stay here again.

It was a good night in Leipzig. It was relatively close to the sites of the old city. We easily walked where we wanted to go. The city was slow to wake. It was cool. The air conditioner could have been cooler...would have been nice had it been cooler. Staff was very cordial and helpful.

This is a nice little hotel, looks to have been very recently re-done. It's in the middle of the city, really, with a 3-minute walk to the central train station and to more restaurants and bars than you can shake a stick at. Friendly front desk staff. Rooms are small but fully equipped, with effective air conditioning and an in-room mini-bar that doubles as a refrigerator for any food or drink products you may buy out. Also our room included a public transit pass that was good within the city limits, which we didn't even fully appreciate until we got to later cities on our vacation and had to include time in our travel to think about tickets. One hysterical thing was that based on an insider tip we saw online, we specifically requested not to be placed in room 612. Guess which room we got! Well I can report that there is nothing wrong with 612 after all.

A very good city centre hotel
Checked in late in the night; welcomed by friendly staff; excellent room overlooking the pretty city centre, with very comfortable, firm-mattress beds. Slept like a rock! Full marks for cleanliness & quietness! Realised next morning that I had for gotten to bring my toothbrush; the friendly receptionist promptly provided me with a disposable kit! Haven't felt so comfortable in a hotel for ages. Would definitely recommend!

Close to downtown area
Enjoyed staying in Leipzig. It's a short walk from this hotel across a main street into the downtown area. We had a little trouble finding parking, but there ended up being a garage a block away.
