It was a nasty shock when we entered our rooms as there is no air conditioner. That was fine if the hotel had anticipated the hot summer by providing hotel guests with cooling unit or standing fan to alleviate the heat.

The hotel looks good from outside. The only thing I feel unsatisfied is that the AC is fake. Staff in the hotel gave us a fan in stead since we feel very hot.

Everything is ok except couple downsides. Not much in the area and waited one hour to get lunch even though there were few customers. Single lane for the driveway which I never experienced before, we had to back out the driveway because the customer ahead of us took long time to check in and blocked the driveway.

We called taxi 3 times but there was no queue.So one person who came after me got the taxi. Maybe you can give the taxi number to the people who called taxi.

Lovely hotel ideally situated if you want to explore Plagwitz as well as the city centre. The bike hire was excellent way to get around. Canals and parks are amazing. Top Tip: don't waste your time with Der Spinnerei - BIG disappointment

It was an average stay in the hotel. Other than the breakfast buffet, there was not much more to say about the hotel. I chose this hotel as the price is lower than similar hotels nearer to the city centre, so I have no reason to complain about the location.

I only stayed for one night, but the room and the bathroom were super clean. The check in process was super fast. Everything was nice.
In addition, the surrounding area is beautiful, next to a forest, it is a nice opportunity to go out for a walk.

Leipzig in three days
A three day stay to visit Leipzig. Location for us was great as we didn't want to be in the middle of the city, and didn't mind the 5 min. walk to the tram and 15 min ride into the city. Clean, comfortable and quiet neighbourhood. Got breakfast in the city each day. Used street parking, in what seemed like a nice residential area.

The Lindner Hotel Leipzig presents itself to the guests in a good to very good shape (consider it is app. 20 years old). The staff is friendly. Even the economy rooms are comfortable and of sufficient size with a good sized desk for working, enough hard surface and good lighting. Unfortunately there is no coffee/tea maker in the room (and no free coffee available at the lobby, too) and there is no free Internet/Wlan, but you may join the Lindner Hotel Bonus Programme - you can just do it at the reception - and you will get free wired or wireless ínternet immediatelly. But the biggest disadvantage is the location of the hotel: in the Suburbs with literally nothing around. Yes, you will find the streetcar to Leipzig Center within 5-8 min on foot, but it will take you another 20-30 Min to get there. If you have a car/rental car available you may use the hotel`s underground parking lot for additional 12 Euro/night, but you will find free parking in the side streets. The hotel is in a very safe area, no question, but a bit far off. The breakfast, if you get a rate with breakfast included, is good, varied and always served up by the attentive staff. I would recommend it only if you like to walk and go by streetcars.By the way, the public transportion System of Leipzig is surprisingly good and inexpensive (Euro 6,50 person/day, 2 persons only Euro 9,90/day), you can reach most of the places of interest/attractions by streetcar, even the stunning Battle of the Nations Monument/Völkerschlachtdenkmal.

The staff spoke English and were very helpful in assisting us with a reservation error. They moved us to a better room at no additional charge and we were offered the breakfast at an affordable rate for not having it included on our original booking. The hotel was so far from the center of town, in a fairly rough area that I really didn't feel safe. While I can get the street train 3 blocks away, I can't say that I feel safe in the outskirts of the neighborhood. Also while the website said that all hotel staff speak English, this proved false in that only 2 of the some 8 receptionists could actually understand me.

Comortable base for the Leipzig Bach Festival
The hotel was friendly and there was quite a \"buzz\" as local people seemed to come in to eat and/or have a drink. However, the bedroom was quiet and I slept well. I was the only English-speaking guest there, as far as I know, and I liked this because I felt that I was in a really German environment. The area around is pretty and it was easy to go for nice walks in woodland.

I read some of the reviews before booking my stay here. Great hotel and I got a great price. I did not mind paying extra for the breakfast, I believe it cost me 15 euros. Only issue with the room was it being by the road and a little noisy. I found the switch for the electric shudders and that cut the noise quite a bit. I am not sure why the sauna is only open at nights. Nor why so many German hotels have no alarm clocks. I took a taxi from the main train station which cost me 10 euros (it was dark on my arrival). Took the tram back the next morning (Leipzig has no underground).

Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, pleasant staff. We stayed at the Lindner this Christmas, right after a huge snowstorm. We ending up extending our stay by a couple of days. The price for the week of Christmas was unbeatable for the quality of the hotel. The breakfast is quite expensive but excellent. The hotel is impeccably clean. Internet service is pricey, but you don't find free WIFI in Leipzig.

This location was formerly a Marriott Residence Inn and, as a result, you get a suite fopr the price of a hotel room.
The property itself appears to be in good shape except for the wear and tear of aging.
--Some of the sidewalks/walkways were chipped/crumbling.
--The rooms were clean but the furniture and beds semmed to be in need of replacement due to wear and tear. The beds, while reasonably comfortable also felt like they were getting towards the end of their useful life.
--There was a dog barking at times at night. I don't mind a pet friendly hotel, but don't appeciate a 3 AM wakeup call from a German Shepard a few doors away.
--The second shower in the room was rather cramped. The other shower was larger and very clean.
--Decent variety and brand of toiletries in bathrooms.
--I didn't get the chance to try out the breakfast bar, but it looked like a decent setup.
--Overall, not a bad stay for the money spent. If possible, owners should invest in new beds, new furniture and new televisions. It would make the hotel experience that much better.

These extended stay-style efficiency suites are terrific for the price. For the same price of a flaebag, we got a room with kitchenette, bathroom suite and self-contained bedroom. It is small, and the furniture is a little outdated, but the room was impeccably clean. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was decent, not great. We only stayed one night, but if I ever had a reason to stay in Meriden for longer than that (I hope I never do), I would stay there again. Beware: there is no dining or entertainment in the vicinity! Subway or Friendly's is about it. But for a cheap, quick stay, I do recommend it.

When the price came up on Hotels.com for the INNPLACE SUITES in Meriden, CT I thought it was a typo! The next cheapest hotel was nearly twice the price!
To get a suite with a bedroom, lounge and fully equipped kitchen plus free broadband internet did not seem right.
The icing on the cake... a \"Continental\" breakfast was included in the price. The hotel management does not know the definition of a \"Continental Breakfast\"... we were treated to a buffet style FULL breakfast!
Staff at reception and in the dinning room were efficient and friendly.

Excellent mid-priced hotel, worth
Excellent mid-priced hotel, worth using your member dollars on to reduce price a little. Comfortable rooms and small but nice fitness/spa area - exercise bikes and mini-spa area (sauna, steam room, solarium, footbaths, shower area etc) are free to use and there's also a metered solarium. 5 mins from forest/river walks, and 15 mins by tram to city centre (which run every 10-15 minutes virtually all day for €2,00 each way, or get a day ticket for €5,00). Bar and restaurant at hotel expensive by Leipzig standards but by no means extortionate, cheaper to eat and drink in city though.

This was not a room -- it was, literally, a SUITE. Living room with sofa and TV, small kitchenette with full-sized fridge, and a bedroom with doors to shut it off from the living room. It really felt like a small apartment, and I could easily stay there for a week or more.
The pet fee was confusing, as it is a one-time fee of more than twice what I paid for the room. I was under the impression that it was one time per visit, which seemed ridiculous when I was only there for one night. It wasn't until I called to complain about it later that it was explained to me that it's one time FOREVER -- No matter how many more times I stay there, I'll never pay another pet fee, which is actually pretty fabulous.

Lindner Hotel Leipzig
We spent two of the hottest and most humid days of the summer in this hotel. Our room was equipped with a thermostat and an airduct that did not seem to be for heating (as there was a separate heat radiator on the wall). We tried to turn the thermostat on but nothing happened. When we called the front desk we were told that something must be wrong but that the janitor had already left. The next morning - after passing the night at about 90 degrees Fahrenheit - we made a new attempt and were then told that the room did not have air condition and that the thermostat and vent were installed but never hooked up to a system! We knew that most hotels did not have air condition, but still felt that this appearance was kind of deceiving. Other than that, we were very happy with the hotel, especially the beautiful terrace and garden that offered some relief from the heat. Breakfast was great, too, although we felt it was still on the quite expensive side.

Arrived to a friendly and prompt check in. We asked for a city map which was provided along with directions to the tram stop a five minute walk from the hotel. (It may be just me, but after a long drive to a hotel, it would be welcoming to be offered tea or coffee, especially as there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room)
Area around the hotel was fine, big old houses, a lot of which were being renovated (which didnt cause any noise or disruption) and when this is completed it will be a pretty grand area. Some of the areas a little further away were not so grand but didnt impact on the immediate area and for us it was interesting to see differing aspects of the City.

We used the tram into the city a few times which was easy and convenient but then discovered (by chance) that the hotel put on a free mini bus service into town and back in the evenings. This was not explained to us at any stage but would have saved us some time and a little money if we had been told about it.
Staff were friendly and approachable and all appeared multilingual.

Area around the hotel was fine, big old houses, a lot of which were being renovated (which didnt cause any noise or disruption) and when this is completed it will be a pretty grand area. Some of the areas a little further away were not so grand but didnt impact on the immediate area and for us it was interesting to see differing aspects of the City.

I had a VERY early plane to make and wanted the hotel to have the taxi there at 4:30, not have to lug bags down the 6 flights where I was visiting in Leipzig.

The only thing that bothered me was that that on the web site no info was available about eventual charges for amenities like: parking, breakfast, internet.
It turned out that those are not included in the room price.

A very good hotel. Excellent breakfast and very helpful front desk. Other meals are pricey but quite good. Room had goodly amount of room and plenty of closet space and this was one of their smaller rooms. Good value for money. The only warning is the distance from the city. The tram however is just about a ten minute walk and that way you get to see some of the surrounding areas. There is a discount grocery store about a five minute walk away. The desk has very clear instructions on which tram to take and how to get back to the hotel from the city centre. Get the Leipzig Card at the front desk for unlimited tram and bus usage.

Das Zimmer ist groß, daher umso unverständlicher, dass nur ein Queensize Minibett drin steht. Die Dusche hatte enorme Temperaturschwankungen, man balancierte permanent zwischen Kälteschock und Verbrühung. Seife am Waschtisch war nicht aufgefüllt, dies wurde trotz Hinweis nicht geändert. Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen aber sehr überschaubar. Das Zimmer war ruhig, leider sehr warm. Die Klimaanlage hat nicht wirklich viel gebracht. Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas abseits, aber dennoch recht verkehrsgünstig gelegen.
