Good base for 1 night stay in Hvar, if staying longer looked like it has a nice swimming pool area and bar. Breakfast was well stocked and varied. Really liked that the hotel took your cases back down to the ferry marina at the end of your stay. Wish they'd of communicated this before arriving as was a lot of steps to be pulling luggage up on arrival as hotel is at the top of the hill out of the way.

The stay was excellent, the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because our shower was leaking a lot of water from the ceiling seemingly whenever the room above us was showering. There is a luggage service to and from the port which is very convenient and the hotel is only about a 5-10min walk into the main town area. Overall a great stay.

We came of the ferry so didnt drive up a steep hill would be an issue if you had mobility problems but not a proper for us ,lovely pool and bar plenty of sun loungers and good chilled out music room was sufficient clean with nice bathroom comfortable bed ,also breakfast was plentiful and loads of options ,had dinner once large portions and very tasty enjoyed my time at the pharos hotel would stay again if ever in that area.

Overall, this place seems like a security hazard. I had one of my most traumatic experiences as my partner and I were sleeping a drunk individual was able to access our room and we were awaken by him with his flashlight on. This was a terrifying moment and has left me quite scarred. The room was okay in general and the hotel is not bad but this experience was definitely my worst.

Everything was great but walls are definitely not soundproof as advertised and even though it’s in a quiet area, didn’t get good sleep since housekeeping starts at 8am. Banging and vacuuming/really loud noises every morning when usually the cleaning window is between checkout and check-in (11am-3pm) that’s a pretty long window to flip rooms and not disturb guests. Other than that pretty nice stay.

This was my 5th time in Hvar and I had always taken airbnbs, so was a little bit cautious about taking a hotel, and after reading the reviews I was a bit suspicious. However! Once we got there we could see how great this hotel was!! The rooms are small but everything else was fantastic. They could use an actual gym and a better situation for ironing clothes.

I would highly recommend staying at this location and would probably stay again.

For the price this place is great. The breakfast was good and they had lots to choose from. Staff was great. It is a bit of walk from the main ferry dock, but completely do able if you didn’t mind doing few extra steps. Only downfall we had regular patio room and the bed for two people was tiny and not very comfortable. Overall I would stay here again for the price.

We had a great stay at Pharos Hvar Bayhill. The location, just a 7 minute walk uphill on the path, above the harbor. You are rewarded with a beautiful property that is well laid out, with a clean, relaxing pool area, and expansive outside dining area off the main building, which is used, in addition to other dining, for the fantastic breakfast buffet (included). I hope to return and stay here again! Value

Very overpriced. Small rooms and no elevators in the property to ease luggage movement. Staff was not helpful when I asked for a king size bed instead of separate ones. They told me it was all full. However, the next day I asked again and a room was available. Also, I kept receiving messages to speed up check out when I had already left the hotel. Very average for the price of the room.

The hotel itself was lovely, huge reception with an outdoor area to chill and grab some food, the pool was great with plenty of sun loungers. A few things to be aware of. The rooms were on the smaller side, not much room to move around at all, same in the bathroom. We went over a weekend and there was 3 large stag groups therefore the pool could get quite loud. If coming to this hotel make sure you ask for a quiet room!

Great location however did require a bit of a climb to get to hotel. Hotel services met us at Ferry Port to take our carry-ons to and from port - which was amazing. friendly staff at check in and informative. Pool was very nice. Walking distance to center and to Fortress. Overall a great choice.

Pros: Gorgeous view, clean room and good location.
Cons: Breakfast was ok. Lots of flies in the dining area. Housekeeping only left 1 towel in the room for a party of 2. When we called the reception they said that housekeeping had left for the day and so they didn’t have access to towels. They also ran out of pool towels. Also it was very noisy at night. People were blaring music at 3 am. No response from the team when we pinged in the middle of the night.

My husband and I spent one night at the hotel. While the reception and outside space was very nice and spacious our room was small and cramped and the balcony sea view was more of a view of the rooftop of the adjacent building.

The 15 minute walk from the port to the hotel is fairly steep and could be challenging for some people (especially with luggage).

We stayed on the ground floor - building 3, the rooms were a bit small, you could barely turn around. “Garden view” is a bit of an exaggeration- it’s more of a cement wall. Very little privacy - I would recommend staff add at least a sheer curtain that can be closed for privacy but let the daylight in. I would also consider planting some bushes to provide the privacy from the pass through road right in front of the “balcony”

The staff were lovely, breakfast was great - pool area was lush too, especially the soft beds. If you are not going to spend much time in the room - this might be a decent option.

Very disappointed with our initial room as they were renovating block 3 and we were woken by drilling and banging. We spoke to reception and they kindly moved us to a superior in block one. The room was bigger, the bathroom in particular was so much better. We overlooked the pool. However being near the front door was noisy at night.
Breakfast was good, the pool is like an ice bath.

There are stairs for sure getting to the property but well worth it for able-bodied individuals. This place was everything we could have hoped for and more. Breakfast was incredible with sausages , meats, eggs, pastries and more. Only complaint was no hairdryer in the room and on Saturday the late-night partiers came stomping through the halls at 3 am but that is no reflection on the hotel.

The air conditioning was not working in our room 3201, they couldn’t not fix it, they had to call the repair person, but they had to wait the next day for him to arrive. The washing machine for the pool towels was not working, guest had to use their towels from their rooms and they ran out of those towels mid day, we didn’t have new and clean towels. We ended up buying new towels from the stores to use.

Lovely hotel in a lively relaxed town.

We enjoyed a lovely few days at this hotel. The location is on a small hill just outside of the town - just a few minutes walk into the centre. The hotel has great facilities, a lovely pool with bar and plenty of outdoor loungers, a restaurant (there are also many places to eat a short walk into town) and the room was spacious and clean.
It was a little on the pricey side - although I think this is more a reflection of accommodation in Hvar in general - but would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to visit Hvar, and the town is definitely worth a visit - lively but lovely atmosphere.

Staff is terrible! When we were checking in, one employee said that he was “too busy” to answer any of questions. In addition, they were completely unaware of any tourists’ recommendations / information (for ex, they didn’t know the beaches names or how to get there). They also forget to do our room one day so we had to remind them of it. Also, when we were checking out they forgot to book our taxi (which we reminded them twice and with advance) and we had to run down the hill in plain sunlight at noon with our luggage, almost missing our ferry.

Besides that, it’s a nice hotel in a good location. keep in mind that it doesn’t have any elevator so you have to carry your own luggage even when taking the stairs.

Overall hotel was ok, the pool was excellent, the room a little substandard, very small bathroom and not the cleanest shower. Most staff were friendly except for ‘Eldar’ who checked us in. Quite possibly the worst check in experience I’ve ever encountered, he was very rude and seemed like he was having a bad day taking it out on us who had just arrived. This man should not be on the front desk, no welcome, no information about the hotel or area, I checked in quite frustrated and needed to jump into the pool to cool off from the experience.

This hotel is beautifully outfitted, with lots of tables indoor and out to get a drink or a bite to eat. There is even a separate bar by the pool. The pool area has plenty of deck chairs and extra spaces to just relax and look out onto the sea. The place is uphill a ways (everything is uphill from the harbor!) so if you don't want to climb, hire a ride. Note that there are five different buildings. So this is more of a complex than a singular hotel. I was put in the farthest away building (yes, uphill) in the farthest room. The \"patio\" was nothing more than a square of concrete that barely fit 2 chairs. That said, it really wasn't a problem, because once you leave the room, every direction is beautiful and there are many options for places to relax. The room was well outfitted and was just what I needed for my short time there. I will certainly stay here again.

A very nice hotel in a great location , the only thing I found was the breakfast wasn’t that hot
steps down to town where all the restaurants /bars and ferries are. We had 2 heavy suitcases which we had to cart up the top to hotel , a suggestion when you come off the ferry try to avoid walking to hotel up the cobbled steps in the main square as googled maps took me that way , that is a hard climb
Walk towards the Adriana hotel , and there is an art gallery further on where there are easier steps
To walk up to hotel . Overall hvar is a great visit and hotel is worthy of its 3 stars .

After dragging luggage from ferry up the hill with a lot of steps then the front desk is upstairs with no lift. Once we did come to check in the receptionist was quite rude. So,we stored our bags, changed & went to the pool which was great. I went back to check in to see if the room was ready & then greeted by Tea who was a complete joy with a big smile smile and genuinely interested in helping…we were back on track! The buffet breakfast was fabulous!

Great location and a very nice hotel. The staff was great. However, the hotel needs a good landscaper. Bushes were growing wild, plants and trees were not trimmed and could be a hazard specially around the steps near the pool area. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
