The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the water for showers was lovely and warm. We also had a lovely outside balcony area. On arrival, Mr Teo was waiting to greet us and he gave us maps and told us about places worth visiting, which was much appreciated. A nice place to stay, away from the busy town centre but easily walkable in 15 minutes.

Charming Room with Balcony

Our room was clean and came with a well equipped kitchen and a lovely balcony. Our host, Teo, met us and explained the room features and also provided restaurant recommendations and directions to popular sites to visit. We received a welcome gift, completely unexpected. Teo was a wonderful host. His communication was immediate and upon arrival he gave us a map and outlined many recommendations on the island. The suite was clean with a comfortable bed and a beautiful deck with a partial view. It was about 10 minutes to the main square. Hvar is beautiful!

Cute apartment with a spacious patio equipped with chairs, a coffee table, hanging rack, as well as a floatie and beach umbrella. Very clean, tidy, and comes with everything you need and more. However, the real gem of this spot is actually the host.
Téo is the epitome of hospitality. Very caring man who sat us down upon arrival and gave us thorough rundown on where the best beaches and restaurants were, along with spots that \"play real, old-school music. Not the electronic\". When we checked out, he even gave us a heads up on roads to watch out for when driving. Honestly, I'm a little antisocial and don't really need to be besties with my host. Even so, I was so touched by what a stand up guy he was and have to say he truly helped make our stay in Hvar an amazing one.

Teo was an unbelievable host. Immediately upon our arrival he welcomed my girlfriend and I with open arms, recommendations in the area, and a bottle of wine. I would highly recommend Teo and the apartment to anyone who is staying in old town Hvar. The apartment was clean, convenient, and comfortable for two. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Teo is a gem. He drew us a map of 2 different routes to get to his place but unfortunately we got lost and had to lug our suitcases up winding hills and streets. If you follow a map better than we can, you should be fine, but the location might not be the best for everyone since a majority of the walk from the port and city center is uphill or up many stone steps. Once we found the place, Teo greeted us and showed us our room, then gave us a general overview of the areas, drawing us a map with his recommendations for restaurants, cafes, and nightlife. The room was clean and comfortable, and the only complaint I have is that the hot water shut off after about 5 minutes of the shower. Teo also allowed us to store our luggage with him after we checked out for no extra cost. He lives below the rooms, so he is accessible if you need beach towels, have questions, etc. Would definitely recommend staying here, and hopefully we will come back in the future! Thanks Teo!

Our stay was amazing!

Mr. Teo was already waiting for us at the front gate when we arrived. We had a designated parking space in front of the house so it was very convenient. Mr. Teo was super nice and shared with us lots of useful information. The apartment was cozy and clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. There is also a court yard outside our apartment with a big table and chairs so we were able to enjoy our cold beverages there in the afternoon or evening. Restaurants, shops, and major attractions are all within a few minutes walk so you really don't need to drive your car around. We had a great time in Havr thanks to Apartmani Teo. I highly recommend it.

Hvar Nights

We had a really nice terrace and the hotel is very conveniently located with good parking. Teo was very friendly and had a wealth of tips for exploring Hvar and the surrounding areas and all the great Croatian food at your doorstep. Back to the hotel - we are a couple in our early 40s and live quiet high-stress lives in London so it was a pleasure to unwind and sleeeeeep again. In our current Covid times the hotel had few rooms and was very clean which is what everyone needs to be conscious of when looking for holiday accommodation.

Nice room with great host

We stayed at Teo’s for one night in the middle of July and thoroughly enjoyed Hvar and the accommodation. Teo is extremely accommodating and has a great knowledge of the island and was keen to point us in the right direction of things to do and where to eat. As we were only staying for 1 night we had to see what we could do but found time to eat at one of Teo’a suggestions for lunch which was lovely. The apartment room was nice and the space was cosy enough for two people.

Teo was great! Upon arrival he greeted and offered a choice of beer, wine, juice, water, etc. While sitting and drinking you can see why many other reviews have stated he is a gracious host. He genuinely loves Hvar and where he lives. If you want, he will give you a detailed overview of the area and will point out these areas on a map to help make it easy for you to explore. No complaints about the property or rooms as everything was represented fairly via the pictures provided on Hotels.com. Location wise, it sits on a hill right above the main area, so it is a bit of a trek with luggage if you want to get there, but he does offer to pick you up for check-in. If I ever had the chance to visit this area, I would stay here again.

Apartmani Teo is Fantastic.

We were greeted by our host Teo on our arrival. It was the most welcoming beginning to any stop on our vacation to Croatia. The apartment was not a studio but had separate bedroom and kitchen. Very well equipped and very comfortable. A private patio and free parking were also attached. Teo is the unofficial \"Mayor of Hvar.\" Everyone seems to know him and loves to joke about him. His recommendations for restaurants and beaches were spectacular and they were not the most popular tourist venues. We ate two great dinners and drank the best wines from Hvar. Can't say enough about Apartmani Teo.

The owner was very friendly and helpful and the room was excellent. The only issue to consider is that the property is a fairly long up/down hill walk away from the town center/harbor if you don't have a car. The immediate area is very nice but not near restaurants, etc. Otherwise an excellent place to stay for a reasonable price.

Teo the owner was very welcoming and the friendliest host I’ve ever had, he sat us down to give us an overview of the island, tips, tour of the room and a free bottle of wine! The room itself was fine, with a nice little balcony and only a few minutes walk into town if you ignore google and go through the windy stairs (easier going down with luggage than up). Only improvement point was the room wasn’t made up during the day, which normally I wouldn’t have minded too much, but our friends had come over to use the shower and get dressed.

Apartmani Teo is a nice little rental about 8-minutes walk away from the center of Hvar, but far enough away to offer you a welcome breather from the crowds and make you feel like a local. It’s a cute space with a nice kitchen and a clean bathroom. But, what I’ll take away from our stay there is how great Teo is. He met us for our (later) check-in with a cold beer and a nice conversation about the island. His pride in Hvar is really reflected in how welcoming he is and his extensive knowledge of the town, which came across in his recommendations of things to see and do and places to eat (definitely try the Hvar Gregada at Konoba Bonaca). If you’re not into the clubs or the resorts and would enjoy a bit of a quieter, more localized experience, with a host who really cares about his guests’ experience, Apartmani Teo is a good choice.

Simple, good value and good access

Teo's rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, and good value for money, especially since they are located within close proximity of the sights in the Old Town and also the ferry port and water taxis. They are a 5-min uphill walk from the Pizzeria Alvis situated opposite the bus station. Teo, the owner, is warm, hospitable and well-connected to the local proprietors of good restaurants and other services, and very kindly helped us get a table in one of the busy and popular local restaurants that was already fully booked. He also took pains to share some local history with us, explain to us the main sights of Hvar that should not be missed and directions to these places, and alternative options we could consider around Hvar.

Gem of a Host!

This is a great apartment with even better hosts! The location is a five minute walk down some steps to the heart of the old town. The room was spacious with a fully stocked kitchenette and lovely balcony with table and chairs. What made our stay, though, was Teo the host. He greeted us at the ferry port with a ride to the apartment. Cold beer on arrival as he gave us all his recommendations. He later came by with a beautiful bottle of wine for us to enjoy on the balcony. He was very gracious, knowledgable and friendly. All in all, great stay!!!

Our host was warm and welcoming, and had already prepared a map with local attractions, eateries and amenities ready to talk us through. He took time to show us this map and was friendly and interested in our trip and what we had planned for our stay. He also left us with a couple of beers to enjoy, which we never got enough time to unfortunately! The room was clean, stylish and comfortable, with all facilities in working order, and the option to cook on the stove if need be. There was a nice terrace we also didn't get time to enjoy, and the apartment was a short walk to the centre of town and the port. Would definitely recommend this location and would stay here again.

From ther time we made the booking until th etime when we had unfortuantely to leave Teo was helpful with local knowledge and information, he even managed to decipher the Jardiolinja ferry time table for us.

A simple phone call and we wwere collected from the bottom of the hill and whisked up to teh apartment by Teo and Mary.
A bottle of beer each as a greeting, teo bottles of wine and Marys cakes! What more can you ask for

Grandmas Grappa is also indeed good medecine, a plentiful supply also being left in the Fridge.

The apartment was huge and well equiped

A little gem, with a great host!

I can't fault our stay at Teo's apartment. From the email received straight after the booking was made to being dropped back in the town when we left, the whole stay was great.

Like most of the reviews you will read, Teo is a legend. We loved it here so much we ended up staying 6 nights instead of 3. He greeted us with a cold beer, a map of the city and lots of knowledge. The hospitality didn't stop there - a bottle of home made cherry grappa and some local wine were also left waiting for us.

If you're looking for luxury accommodation, then this isn't the place for you. But if you want somewhere clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood, then it's perfect. Its about a 5-10 minute walk from both the harbour, the beach and bars and restaurants - all down hill! So yes, that does mean that it's uphill on the way back but Hvar is a hilly place so you're very lucky if you escape them.

I would go back and stay with Teo any time so would highly recommend.

We had a week in this hotel as part of a longer trip around Croatia and it was our favourite accommodation for a number of reasons. We were greeted with a beer from Teo, the extremely friendly and hospitable owner as well as a map and a lot of info; where to go, what to do, where to eat, day trips and lots of interesting information about the island! The room was clean and had a small well equipped kitchenette area. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to most places-restaurants, bars, beach, supermarket, boats for trips to other islands...everything you would expect!

Well recommended and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Staying at these apartments we really felt like we were brought in to the family! We have just got back from an amazing trip to Croatia but Teo was by far our favourite host. Always on hand with tips for Hvar and so helpful in arranging our onward travel plans. The homemade grappa is to die for and Teo's stepmother does a fantastic job at keeping the place spotless and running flawlessly! We stayed in two rooms and the double room/terrace/sea view was our favourite because the balcony was huge and great for sitting and looking over Hvar. This was amazing value and really made our trip. I can't wait to come back!

The welcome received at the apartment was brilliant. The owner Teo took the time to pick us up and drive us to his apartment (which was hardly necessary as it was a 5-minute walk from the centre of town/ferry port), offered us a drink on arrival and talked us through a map of Hvar with highlights and recommendations. Any questions we had he was happy to answer and he also provided cake and home-made liqueur for our enjoyment. The apartment itself was on of several occupying the upper floor of the family home so he was always around if required. The room was a decent size and included a small kitchen for convenience. The location was also great, a 5-minute walk to the main town square but surrounded by residential area for a quiet nights sleep. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Best guesthouse we stayed at in Croatia!

Would recommend this apartment in a heart beat and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Hvar. Teo was a great host.Location: a bit up a hill, 10 min to be exact, but if you enjoy some exercise like us, that'll be pleasant. We arrived the hard way. Got off the boat and went right, then up some steps and through streets. Eventually we found the place, it was hard because streets did not have names and we used a google map to deduct where to go. Teo welcomed us with an ice cold beer to drink. Turns out that he could have picked us up from the old town center not far from the ferry. Learn from us- get off the ferry and call him directly using his phone number provided though booking. I'd you don't have a phone that works in Croatia, the you can find the tourist center near the ferry and ask them to call. Apartment: we stayed in the first apartment, which is right off the entance steps. We loved it! Nice bath, bedroom,small and cozy kitchen, which had all the things you need for cooking, even wine and beer openers. Plus, some oil and spices to get you going. The highlight was the terrace, we ate all the meals there. So cozy with lights at nights. There is also a bucket and a drying rack. They offer machine wash at 70 kuna, which is about $12 usd. Hvar itself: the old town is small but cute. Some restaurants, pubs, stores. We tried going to Mlini and Parmizana beaches via taxi boats, so worth it! Wish we stayed more than 3 nights to check out other islands.

The nicest people & great view.

Teo was our host and he was amazing! Very helpful, nice and spoke great English! His mother was also very sweet & helpful. The room was fine. The balcony was a nice touch as well. The mother made homemade cherry grappa that we were hesitant about at first but it was love at first sip! Delicious!!! They also brought homemade cookies when we checked in. The parking was free & right outside our room (a big plus). The trek down to the waterfront was pretty crazy. A lot of steps and steep walking paths but getting down to the water was pretty simple besides that. Overall, a great place to stay with amazing hosts.

A real great family place

Teo's apartments are a typical \"apartmani\" as they call them in Croatia. A family shares their home with you. In Teo's place you get your own bathroom and the rooms are clean and comfortable with an AC as well. They have parking for upto 4 cars. Which helped us a lot since we had a rental.

What made this stay an exceptional one for us was Teo's mother who prepared coffe for us in the morning and served us orange juice and cookies. It was fantastic. We felt like we are staying with our cousin and our aunt was serving us breakfast. I mean the place may not be far apart from the others but this little touch made our day and this has been one of the greatest moments for us as travellers.

Teo the owner is a wonderful person who lets you keep your privacy yet if you fancy a chat tells you about wonderful stories of being a DJ 30 yrs ago, working on the front line during the war but also his love for football, tennis and culture. The apartments are excellently kitted out and a simple stroll from the harbour up the hill. Genuinely if you want to meet real Croatians but stay for cheap and live in a real part of town stay here. Really wonderful experience.

Apartamento aconchegante, bom ar condicionado, varanda com vistas boas, O sr Teo é um excelente anfitrião, nos deu muitas orientações e dicas de passeios e restaurantes, de boas vindas ganhamos um vinho delicioso e mais mimos durante a estadia, nos forneceu seu nr telefone, era só mandar um whats que ele já nos respondia. Accueil très agréable, logement très bien, mais avec tous les escaliers à Hvar le logement n’était finalement pas facile à rejoindre en fin de journée prévoir un taxi depuis le port avec la valise.
