I highly recommend this stay! The location is perfect, with a gorgeous view and a short walk into town. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The host is lovely and offers many recommendations for beaches, restaurants and excursions and will even provide coupons if she has any. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

I had a really nice time at Apartmani Ivanovic. The owner is very friendly and helpful - she picked me up from the carpark and gave lots of helpful suggestions. The views are fantastic. It's a 1 km uphill walk from the boat pier but totally worth it. Would highly recommend it.

Fab apartment with an excellent, welcoming host!

Ivanka was such a great host, answered all my questions and gave me some advice of local transport and trip ideas before I arrived. Lovely welcome, including a map of suggestions for Hvar town.
The room was great, a little kitchenette to make food but I opted to just use the fridge. Air conditioning was welcome, as was the balcony with the beautiful views, including of the sunset.
Hvar is very hilly, so yes the property is up a hill, but you can just take it steady. It’s worth it!

from town to property, it's an uphill walk, it takes 10-15 min
this is a great property for someone young, the location is very good and quiet, you can see the castle and the water. room are located on the second and third floor.no elevator, so it's a little difficult with heavy luggage.
For the price, its a very good accommodation.

Ivaka was a brilliant host, she collected us with our luggage upon arrival which was really helpful after a long day of travelling.

We had chilled water ready in the apartment and Ivaka talked us through the map of Hvar and gave us suggestions for restaurants and things to do, which we found very valuable.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed in it. Air-con and ceiling fan above the bed worked great and helped us get a good nights sleep. View from the balcony was gorgeous of the hills and fortress.

We had an early ferry booked to leave the island and Ivaka kindly booked us a taxi back down to the ferry port.

Thank you for a great stay, should we return to Hvar I will not hesitate to book again!

Ivanka was an incredible host. We couldn’t have asked for a better host, she was so attentive to our needs, she kindly picked us up and dropped us off to the ferry. Her recommendations really made it the best holiday ever in Hvar! Her apartment had a great room with an incredible view and balcony. It was walking distance to the main harbour. I can’t thank you enough, we’ll most definitely be returning next year!

Superb location and helpful owners

My son and I were cycling on the Dalmatian coast and islands and stopped in Hvar for 2 days. The location of Apartmani Ivanovic was perfect to explore this interesting town. Also the apartment was spacious and well equip as it was nice to do our own cooking after many a restaurant meal. Views over the town and harbour were superb especially the view of the fort on the hill. Many thanks to the owners for making our stay comfortable.

2 nights in Hvar town

The hostess was fantastic. She picked us up after our ferry arrived, then gave us her recommendations for places to walk, see, explore, enjoy sunset, party scene vs quieter night out and eat. Be prepared to do a lot of walking up hill, but there's not much escaping that anywhere, and the view is worth it. Great stay.

Lovely host & apartment, okay bed.

Ivanka the hostess is amazing. She was kind enough to pick us up & drop us off at the bus station near the Riva, so we wouldn't have to lug our baggage up the hill. Her restaurant & bar recommendations were also on point! We tried Hula Hula bar on our own & didn't like it, so we walked down the beach to Ivanka's pick, Flako & loved it. After that, we tried all the places she told us about.

The only thing we didn't love was the bed. It was 2 double beds put together, which is normal, but this had something hard in the middle, not great for couples. The mattress was thin & the bedding itself was also unconventional.
Wifi was a bit iffy.
The air conditioner was great.
We loved everything else.

Very clean self contained apartment. Great communication by landlady Ivanca - who picked us up / dropped us off to the ferry and greatfully meet with an icy cold beer on a hot day by her husband Goran.
Views from balcony sensational - looks over the city, the water and the fort. Ivanca very helpful with map and recommendations for walks / visits and avoiding the overpriced bars! Only a 10 minute walk to town ( a little longer on the uphill climb home) We made it from the accommodation to the fort in just over 20 minutes walking.

This is an apartment halfway up a hill (10 minutes walk) so it is very quiet and you can enjoy an open view from the lovely balcony.
The host Ivanka also kindly picked us up and dropped us off when we checked in/out with our luggages. The restaurants she recommended were great.
The apartment is spacious with all the basic amenities you need.

We had a great experience. It is up hill, but Ivanka offered to pick us up and drop us off at the bus station which was so appreciated. Our apartment was on the top floor which meant a lot of stairs to climb, but also an awesome view of the ocean and fortress. And Ivanka’s son helped us with our luggage. A grocery store is next to the bus station as well as a fruit market. My photos show the view from our balcony

Great warm hearted host!

Both Ivanka and her daughter Maria were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure that I enjoyed myself in Hvar. Ivanka very kindly both collected me from the harbour and dropped me off saving me taxi fares of 100 Kuna each way. The apartment had everything that I needed and I particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the small terrace looking out at the fortress. Ivanka’s suggestions as to which restaurants to visit and which were the best beaches were spot-on and I ate extremely well! Their warm welcome very much added to my stay and I hope to return in the not too distant future.

A few days in Hvar

Nice and spacious room with a separate kitchen and sitting area. Host was amazing...picked us up and dropped us to the bus stop to avoid us walking up and down a hill. Excellent and friendly hostess, we had a bus station pickup and even a ride for our departure. The room was nice and clean with a perfect sea view. AC unit was running well enough to bring the temperature down cold enough for a Canadian polar bear like me. We got a map with all the pointers we needed, including some great restaurant suggestions.

Central, quaint, and an excellent hostess

Ivanka is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to orient you on Hvar's best and gives excellent recommendations. Mlini beach on the Pakleni islands and Alviz restaurant were our favourites. Our room seemed small and dated at first but was more than adequate and provided a comfortable, clean, quiet space for us to relax. We had access to a kitchenette but it wasn't sufficient for cooking full meals - so opt for a full apartment rather than a private room if you wish to cook. The view from our balcony was incredible. We'd recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hvar, you won't be disappointed!

My friend and I absolutely loved our stay here. The hostess and her husband were extremely helpful and kind (they picked us up AND dropped us off by the ferries to avoid us having to walk up some pretty steep hills with suitcases). Relaxing place to stay!

Our stay commenced with a fabulous start due to the ease of communication with our host Ivanka. We were able to contact Ivanka through what's app, she picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry as part of her wonderful service. Our apartment was spacious with great water views we had everything we needed for a great relaxing stay. Our location was close to everything and still remaining in a quiet serene part of Hvar. Have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. We found our stay to be both quiet and relaxing.

We had an amazing stay at this apartment. The owners were absolutely lovely and so very helpful. Gave us so many recommendations, from restaurants, to beaches to bars, to what time we should visit the fort, etc. Just simply incredible people. The owner even drove us to the bus stop - SO SWEET! The hotel is up on a hill, which can be tiring, but it has a beautiful view and its far enough from the hustle and bustle of Hvar, that you can get a good night's sleep. We loved it. The location was close to everything and it was very comfortable.

Me and my partner had a great 3 night stay here at apartment ivanovic. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and came and collected us immediately and dropped us back off at the bus station after we arrived via catamaran from Split.
We were given recommendations places to eat and beaches to go to, best bars for sunset and views of the town, which we did and all were fantastic. Great place to watch the sunset, not Hula Hula beach bar but the next bar along around the sea front. Much quieter and peaceful.
Apartment was clean and comfortable, and great seaview from balcony. Bathroom had hand held shower, but this wasn't too much of an issue for us.
Location was perfect, a 10 minute walk into Hvar town and bus station, down the hill. A bit harder on your legs when coming back. Recommend a stay here. Great for discovering Hvar and all the local beaches and restaurants.

She takes time to orient you to the island and point out places to shop, eat, swim, and visit. The apartments are immaculate, and the view of Hvar harbor is stunning. Wonderful host, great stay

We could not have asked for a kinder or more welcoming host! Ivanka insisted on picking us up from the bus station on arrival (and dropping us back when we left!) saving us the short walk up the hill to their beautiful home. She offered us a cold drink (and her husband gave us a lovely fresh fig from their tree) before giving us a fantastic overview of Hvar - the best beaches, bars, restaurants and trips. We followed every one of her recommendations and we were so grateful as she definitely knows what she is talking about! Our trip to gorgeous Mlini was a highlight and we probably wouldn't have gone without Ivanka's advice. She truly is Hvar's number one tourist information service!

The room was comfortable, clean and large, with an amazing view from the balcony over the harbour - beautiful sunsets! The air conditioning was very welcome as we were lucky to have beautiful weather, and the peaceful location ensured a good night's sleep.

Overall we would definitely recommend this accommodation and we cannot thank Ivanka enough for being so kind and welcoming.

We stayed in the superior apartment. It is very large with a balcony that offers a beautiful view over Hvar. The owner is lovely, very friendly and helpful. The apartment could do with a refurbishment however. The walk down to town was very easy, 5-10 minutes downhill, not so easy coming back up!!

Apartmani Ivanovic was brilliant!

We arrived by catamaran in the evening and Ivanka picked us up (thank goodness as we were exhausted!) and she was so kind and welcoming! Ivanka was excellent: the perfect host and she gave us so many ideas of what to do, where to go, good places to eat and drink which was so useful as we were only there for a short stay. The room was great, the views from the balcony were stunning and although up a hill (like everything in Croatia haha) it was nearby beaches/shops/restaurants/harbour. We are already planning our next trip back to stay!

Ivanka was amazing!! She is very welcoming and is a great introduction for Croatia. She picked us up at the bus station that is close to the ferry and then showed us an amazing room with a fantastic view. She was able to arrange a car rental for us as well and gave us some very good information about restaurants and things to do in Hvar. Wonderful place to stay in hvar. Ivanka was a delightful and extremely helpful host. She picked us up from the bus station when we arrived and met us there again with our bags on the evening we left. She also printed out bus tickets that we needed for our ongoing journey and gave the best tips tips of what to do and where to go in hvar through to the smallest details. We found the location of the accomodation perfect. Up the hill so you get a nice view of the water, the walk up and down the hill was good for a bit of exercise and from the apartment there is also a good shortcut to the best beach in hvar. I wouldn't hestitatevto recommend this property to anyone travelling to hvar. Great value for money too!

Nice owner - located near main tourist area

The apartment is conveniently located near main tourist area of Hvar. The owner Ivanka was very kind and brought us into her home to provide many details about the city, where to park, where to visit and places to eat. There was a balcony with a view of the fortress and ocean in the distance but nice and relaxing to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. There was a shared kitchen with adjacent room next door but luckily there was no one occupying that room while we were there so the apartment was essentially ours. The restroom is also private and each unit has their own private bathrooms so that wasn't an issue. Parking was also free and convenient. I felt like we were staying at grandmas house and we felt very comfortable there. I would recommend this apartment to others!

Wonderful apartment with a gorgeous view

Ivanca was more than helpful. She picked us up from the bus station and started out stay with a very descriptive explanation of the map that she provided. She pointed out several restaurants to try, the best beach, a bakery etc. Every place that she recommended ended up being just fantastic! She really made our stay what it was. She knew that it was our honeymoon so she even had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. She was simply wonderful.
The apartment was close to town and had a wonderful patio with a view of the water. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Brilliant - Don't go anywhere else

We had a great stay at Apartments Ivanovic. The hostess , Ivanka, is lovely. Couldn't be more welcoming and helpful .
We were picked up from town when we arrived, taken to the Fortress next day, and taken back to town when we left. It was like a home away from home.
Good facilities, balcony with a lovely view, comfortable beds, clean. What more could you want?
A ten minute walk to town. Steep coming back if you are unfit, but it's a short cheap taxi ride.
Wouldn't it be great if all places were like this and all hosts like Ivanka!

Our host Ivanka was very welcoming and helpful. She gave us lots a tips for fantastic restaurants and the Mustaco beach, which is a real treat.
The view over the bay from the balcony was amazing and the sun set directly in front of us.
This is great value for a brilliant property and host.

Hillside hospitality in Hvar

We loved our stay as the owner was very accommodating and helpful. She was kind enough to collect us from the port and gave us a detailed map with lots of recommendations of local places of interest, which we used to enjoy many wonderful meals and beach choices. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and superbly located to allow for a wonderful view over Hvar from the double doors opening onto the balcony. It was really quiet at night and the AC worked very effectively. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and spacious apartment with great view

Ivanka was a great host and was happy to meet us off the ferry to drive us up to the apartment. She gave us lots of helpful information when we arrived to make the best of our stay in Hvar. Our apartment was very clean and very spacious with excellent kitchen amenities. We loved the view from our terrace of the sea and nearby islands. It was a bit of a steep walk up from the town centre to the apartment but most of the apartments in Hvar seem to be up on the hill and it meant we were in a quiet residential location.

Roomy, well appointed apartment

Wonderful, roomy, well appointed apartment with great views and a nice cooling evening breeze. And great service -- the owner picked us up from the bus station, and delivered our luggage to us there at the end of our stay. (The bus station is as close to the ferry port as cars can come.) The only downside is that walking back from the city center is all uphill, and our room was on the top floor, three flights of steps up. But if you don't like steps, Hvar is not for you.

Ivanovic offers a great room at great price

This apartment is up the hill from Hvar port, and offers nice views of the sea and fortress from the balcony. It is a short 5 to 10 minute walk for central Hvar. The room was clean and nice. Ivanovic was a great host, and offered many useful tips regarding restaurants and activities. From this location, you can easily walk to Hvar port and one of Hvar largest and nicest beaches. At the beach is a nice place to grab a bite or a drink, Mustaco Restaurant.

On arrival she collected us from the bus station and drove us to the apartment, it would have been difficult to find otherwise., due to the streets looking the same - we absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back

We had a brilliant time at this house. We booked for three nights and we wish we had more! Ivanka was very helpful and attentive. She welcomed us with a drink and a delicious cake! She even gave us a lift to the station for our way back. I would recommend this place to anyone and if I ever return to hear I will definitely stay here again

Lovely apartment with great view!

This was our favorite place we stayed in Croatia, the apartment is just the right size, very clean, and it has everything you need plus an amazing view. Just a short 5 minute walk to the main part of town/harbour from the apartment. Ivanka was a fantastic hostess, she made us feel very at home, and gave us lots of recommendations for places to visit in Hvar! We wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely come back, great value for the price!

Our second floor apartment was spacious and had a commanding view towards the sea, islands and hills around Hvar. You have to climb steeply from the town centre, which was no problem for us but could be an issue for some - there is parking in the town but at 12kn/h could become expensive. The owner is both welcoming and a fund of useful information. More than that she is exceedingly kind, and well known in the local community. We stayed 6 nights at the end of Sept and have no complaints.

We booked Apartmani Ivanovich but when we arrived, were told some story by Ivanca about why we could not stay in the room and apartment building we had reserved. She had us stay next door, at her \"cousin's\" apartment. That was the first negative for Apartmani Ivanovich.
Then, although we had specifically booked a place with wifi... When we tried to connect to the wifi using the password Ivanca's \"cousin\" gave us, it did not work. So for the entirety of our stay, if we wanted wifi, we had to go outside downstairs to use it. Very inconvenient for keeping family updated on travels.
Another negative was that arranging the pick up type from the ferry drop-off was very complicated. So if you don't have a working Croatian cell phone/SIM, it might be difficult to coordinate with Ivanca.

Taking these negatives into consideration, the great location, huge apartment size and friendliess of both Ivanca and her \"cousin,\" this deserves 3 stars.

A great place in Hvar

Our stay here was great. Ivanka was amazing, she really made us feel welcome and highlighted spots that would be good for us based on our interests. She gave us beach towels when we forgot our own, and drove us down to the marina to catch our ferry. The place was also very quiet, though the location is only a 5 minute walk to everything.
We will definitely stay here again when we return to Hvar.

So glad I booked here, excellent value for money!

Ivanka met us at the bus terminal as promised and after showing us the apartment sat down and told us all about the island, places to go, things to do and recommendations of where to eat etc... She was so friendly and incredibly helpful. On our second day we returned to find homemade cake in our fridge which was delicious. Some of the reviews I had read mentioned about the steep climb to the apartments from he old town and how it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues. Although there is a steep climb, this is no different most of the other places to stay on the island due to the geography of Hvar town, I have a severe chest condition and find walking very hard, especially up hill, but I managed it and after day one it was no problem at all. This is definitely a minor detail overall. Ivanka let us store our beach things on her patio and gave us a lift down to the bus terminal on the day of our departure. This was definitely the best apartment that we stayed in over our two week stay with regards to value for money. It is fairly basic but very clean, great sea views, room is well equipped and the kitchen area was perfectly adequate for us to make breakfast and a packed lunch each day. Overall we were so pleased that we chose to stay here!

Wonderful apartment in Hvar Town

Upon arrival, the host was incredibly friendly and provided us refreshments as well as a detailed map labelled with many great recommendations for restaurants, bars, beaches, and surrounding islands and towns. The apartment is located uphill from the Hvar town harbour, but the walk is only about 15 minutes and very doable! In fact, the host will happily pick you up/drop you off from the harbour when you arrive/leave so that you don't have to make the journey with luggage in hand! She was very accommodating, driving us at 6 am so we could catch our ferry back to Split at the end of our stay, and printing off online tickets for us as well. The apartment itself is nice, clean, and comfortable, with wifi, air conditioning, kitchen facilities, as well as a balcony with a view of the town and harbour. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Hvar!

Fab!

Arrived early at the hotel (3hrs before check-in) and the lovely owner insisted on arranging our room ASAP. While we waited she got us cold drinks and gave us an island map with lots of inside knowledge about good beaches and fab restaurants. Our room was then ready within 30 mins: Amazing!
She also loaned us beach towels for free: We just literally loved her and the place!
Definitely recommended, such a steal for the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ivanka picked us up and gave us lots of info on the local area which was very useful, spending lots of time telling us of the best restaurants to go to and what to try.
Room was simple, clean and was absolutely adequate for use.
It's about 5minute walk to town, but this was great as I came back slimmer even after over eating!

We arrived by ferry and Ivanka gave us good directions to the bus station where she picked us up. She provided a very comprehensive overview of restaurants and places to see and was very helpful dealing with an airline problem we had. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Great little balcony upon which to enjoy a late afternoon wine, Pag cheese and bread sticks. Ivanka grew up in Hvar and is very knowledgeable about the area and seems to know everyone in the small town.

Nice apartment with a wonderful hostess!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the apartments in June 2014 as part of an isalnd hopping holiday. Ivanka , our host, made us feel very welcome and drew us a personal map of Hvar with all the places we might like to eat and things we might like to do, she even gave us a voucher for one of the local restaurants.
The room was very clean and tidy and the neighbourhood felt very safe. The rooms are a 10 minute walk up quite alarge hill, but the view is worth it.
I would highly recommend these apartments.
