Hotel is nice, clean. My Standard room was nice, neat, clean, with a partial sea-view. However, some maintenance needed - drawer & cupboard door tended to get stuck opening & closing and bathroom tiles were cracked in many places.
No shelf for own items in shower was awkward for me.
No water bottles provided in room daily which was unexpected, also no kettle, tea & coffee, & there is a small charge to use the Safe.
Staff are very friendly & accommodating, especially Catering, Housekeeping & Maintenance.
All tiled floors meant I had to be careful about slipping.
There is building work opposite the hotel at the side so there was some building noise.
I stayed Half-Board - Breakfast & Dinner choices were very good.

I found that everyone in the area was very friendly also, as were the other guests.
Overall, I had a very pleasant and lovely stay at the hotel!

I recently stayed at BQ Andalucia Beach Hotel and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The front desk staff lacked the basic courtesy you’d expect in hospitality. The hotel itself is outdated with old furniture that clearly need renovation. One of the most surprising things was being charged EUR 3 per day to use the in-room safe — something I’ve never encountered before, even in budget hotels. The breakfast was equally underwhelming, with limited variety and poor quality, definitely not up to 4-star standards. The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its location — just a 5-minute walk to the beach and the beautiful promenade lined with bars and restaurants. If you're in the area, I highly recommend La Bella Torino, an Italian restaurant nearby that stood out with great food and excellent service.
Unfortunately, I would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to others unless major improvements are made.

Check in staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable but I think there was a problem with bad smells coming up from the bathroom sink or bath, parking was a little bit overpriced at €10 per day, the breakfast choice was excellent with a great range of hot and cold items including cooked to order eggs, omelette or pancakes, the restaurant staff were excellent at clearing used plates and restocking the hot & cold breakfast items, we would certainly stay again, well done to all the staff for great customer experience

It was an overnight stay. When we arrived there was nobody at the desk to check us in. We waited about 20 minutes then had to phone. Which was awkward as we don't speak Spanish even with the help of google translate. Eventually a man turned up to check us in.

Average hotel, definitely NOT a 4 star hotel, pretty basic.
Breakfast buffet not worth getting:
1- Egg omelettes are rushed, if you don't tell the cook to cook it properly, you'll get runny eggs.
2- Most of the bread is stale, including pastries which seem too be soggy
3- Coffee is machine made, weak and lacks flavor.

Dinner AWFUL!!
I don't know if people eat it because they already paid for it or they just don't want to complain.
Everything was way too salty. It seems they salt every so that people order more drinks...or do that people don't eat anymore.
I really don't know what their angle is or their business plan.

Well maintained mass tourism hotel

The pictures of the hotel are accurate: it is a large, relatively modern mass tourism hotel. It has been well maintained so what you see is what you get.

The location is right next to the beach. There is secure parking but we did not use it as it is not as easily accessible as the large amount of general free visitor parking just outside the hotel, and we were staying only one night.

I was very excited about this trip, since it was our 5 year wedding anniversary. We checked in and it was fairly quick, and the lady behind the counter was very friendly and professional. But, the room itself was very basic and the ocen view i paid for, was more like a peripheral view of the water, with a bunch of construction. Underwhelming to say the least. The pictures just make it look so nice and the real thing was good, but 'meh' compared to what the pictures showed it to be. But it was clean and that's always nice. The best was a bit uncomfortable, but we didn't spend much time on it. Took a lool at the pool, and it was on the smaller size but looked clean.

Not there usual standard .we only had an overnight stop arriving after 6pm and driving 600kilometers from Portugal .reception was good and quick ,The room not so good ,bathroom door did not close properly and I think it had been in this condition some time. Only one tiny tablet of soap ,no glasses in bathroom even plastic ones would have helped ,and. To cap it all the TV didn't work ,some of these faults we did not realise until we came back from dinner about 11pm so too late to get anything done ,these things should not happen in a 4*hotel .this was our 3rd stay at this hotel and probably the last .

We were very happy with our stay. Staff were friendly and always greeted us with a smile.
Rooms had 2 double beds which were comfortable and very clean.
We only had breakfast but there was plenty of choice and hot.
The hotels front door faces straight towards the beach with a 2-3 minute walk to the sand.
We would recommend staying here as it’s close to the beach and town but far enough away to relax with no noise.
The only thing I will say is ask for a west facing room as the locals bins are cleaned about 0230 for about 10 mins and they are not the quietest.
But overall we had a lovely stay and would return.

Uncomfortable stay, thankfully just for one night

We were pretty disappointed with our stay. The weather was warm but the hotel had the AC turned off. Our room faced west and was boiling hot. We had to keep the slider open at night but heard the noise of the campground next door and all the neighboring rooms. The terrace light also stays on so your room isn’t dark of the slider is open. The bed was the most uncomfortable we’ve ever slept in. European beds are hard, I know but this was downright awful. There was also a strange musty smell to the room. The breakfast was ok , parking was convenient and right out front of the door.

WOW. Best hotel ever. Large comfortable rooms with a balcony. Fantastic swimming pool, with ping pong table. Breakfast was outstanding. It was a buffet breakfast but they have a station that will make eggs to order or even American style pancakes. Very close to the beach with plenty of free parking directly in front of the hotel. Beach was very nice where you could rent 2 lounge chairs with umbrella for 7 Euro a day. The staff was friendly and very helpful. On the day we checked out, they stored our luggage all day so we could enjoy one more day on the beach. After the beach they provided a courtesy room for us to shower and change clothes. Fantastic friendly staff. About a 30 minute drive from Malaga. but so worth it. GPS couldn't find the address to this hotel so I suggest you contact them before to ask for directions. We stopped someone on the street and they gave us excellent directions right to the front door.

Seafront tidy hotel.

Right on the beach. Just a small car park in front. Free parking all around. Easy walk to nightlife shops and tapas bars. Lots of good Ice cream and coffee places nearby. Neptuno is the best. This hotel has improved enormously since our last visit about a year ago. Rooms and bathrooms have been revamped and public areas had a bit of a spruce up. Staff seem much more friendly too. Large selection breakfast buffet. We hit peak time at breakfast 9-10 but staff were working very hard to keep everything flowing well.

A good hotel, but just found the room a little noisey for a light sleeper like me. The sound of plumbing in use was the most common sound, not the noise of other guests talking. Generally can't really fault the hotel, breakfast buffet is a great selection but not of the highest standard. Certainly a good base if staying in Torre Del Mar, which is a great resort to base a quieter holiday in.

A lovely modern hotel

We had to wait a while to check in because there was a couple of coaches of guests booking in at the time. However the staff knew we were there and kept apologizing for the wait, this meant a lot. Once checked in which was really quick we found our really nice room with balcony with a slight sea view and above the nice pool. The rooms are nice and spacious with good lighting. Apart from the intermittent air conditioning there was nothing to complain about. Our room must have been above the kitchen as there was a lot of banging around during the day and evening. This could be a problem for some, but if you have the air-con working it helps muffle the noise!
WiFi is available in rooms at extra charge and has a good speed.
Breakfasts are very good with a good choice of everything and plenty of it
This is a very nice hotel for the cost, but of course because of this it can be very busy. We will stay in this hotel again when in the area.

Great to overnight only one hour from airport.

Enjoyed staying here for our last night in Spain. Great to sit around poold for a couple of hours after breakfast(which was pretty good!)A nice overnight stop on way to Malaga airport. Do leave plenty of time as airport and car return can take a little time.

Advertised as 4* but really 3* - wouldn't stay there for 2 weeks again
Cleaning of room on daily basis rather superficial; not enough toiletries (not renewed every day) and of really poor quality; towels not brilliant; shower and toilet needed mending
Pool area very small and cramped
However, on the plus side:
comfortable beds
Reasonable breakfast choices and friendly staff
Good location for beach

Lovely relaxing week here.

really good experience here, went with a friend just for a relaxing week. Nice family atmosphere at hotel, mainly Spanish families and couples staying there. Even though pool a little small, hotel is on beach front. plenty of cheap great value restaurants nearby if not on full board (try Brujas restaurant, along road by seafront). Staff have decent english and very helpful. Breakfast buffet is good. No complaints whatsoever.

We paid 5 euros per day for Internet but there was no signal inside, only limited intermittently on the terrace. Walking distance to beach. About 35 minutes drive from Malaga.

A very nice stay

A nice hotel close to the beach. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice balcony with a view of the sea. The breakfast was good, but the breakfastroom was a little crowded and noisy. There were very good restaurants close by and we had a very nice stay (this was our 4 time in this hotel).
