Room and bathroom were nice but the bed was so uncomfortable it was like lying on a plank of wood it was rock hard. The pillows were equally rock hard. Did not make for a good nights sleep.

The girls I met at reception were very nice and helpful but the bar not so I sat out side and ordered a spirit and a mixer which I only used half €7.00 for the two the second drink I only needed the spirit but I was still charged €7.00 when I questioned I got no satisfaction that is the price I was told when I asked how much the 7up was I was told €2.50 on its own it didn’t make sense needless to say I didn’t return

2 day stop

5 minutes walk to the beach front.
Service was very friendly and helpful. We try to speak a little Spanish but they helped us out in English when necessary! Rooms were cleaned on the one full day we were there. Breakfast was simple but set us up for the day. We shall return if we're back in the area.

A favourite in Torre del Mar

We always enjoy our stays at this hotel. We are a retired couple who enjoy walking around Torre del Mar enjoying the beach and having relaxing meals at the many restaurants and cafes within the town. Unfortunately this was only an overnight stay.

The staff are friendly and helpful, however this is not a 4 star hotel - 3 star at best. Essential facilities, noise carries through walls, need to upgrade towels and linens. Close to the entertainment area.

This is my favourite hotel in Torre Del Mar. Spacious rooms, clean linens, firm beds. All the basics ticked! The staff are fantastic very friendly and accommodating. I can walk from the bus station with my luggage. It’s very close to the sea and places to eat. Highly recommend.

We were very busy moving house

Good check in. We weren't there very much as we were moving house. Bed hard fir me, fine for my husband. Good shower. Small room. Yard that we looked out over needed sorting out and tidying. Pool needed cleaning and upkeep around it. Hard access with steep steps. Didn't have anything to eat or drink so cannot comment on that. No 'doormans trolley' so was hard taking mutiple pieces of luggage to room. Handy for town centre and beach front.

Standard room ok, 3 x large single beds, sheets and duvets in white, all clean.
Heating worked ok
Lighting ok
Bathroom clean and fresh, only problem was toilet did not want to refill after flushing. Receptionist came and looked. Got it working but only the once, finally found only way was to drop the lid down and it refilled! Obviously something loose somewhere.
Breakfast was unbelievable, probably the best breakfast I have seen in any Spanish hotel. Make sure you go hungry and avail of everything, at least twice!

Nice hotel friendly staff, the property was clean and comfortable.
Parking is on the road outside a little limited but it was possible to find parking close by.
it is easy walking to most of the restaurants and the sea front. easy access to the main road networks.
A hotel I would use again without hesitation.

Great location

Absolutely fantastic little gem of a place, just off the main strip, great location, no noise, very comfortable and clean, nice large rooms, with balconies, parking can be a challenge, when road is busy, but there is an overflow car park at end of road.
Small pool on the roof, with sun loungers and umbrellas, perfect for a quick dip, very quiet, great views of whole town.
Short walk from main high street, cafes, bars and restaurants, great food, reasonably priced.
Beach is 5 minute walk.
Taxi to Malaga airport is 70 Euros, perfect for weekend break.

Would stay here again

The hotel staff was friendly and Christian in particular at front desk went above and beyond to help us with issues we had with the safe in our room.

The housekeeping crew were efficient and friendly, even though I had my privacy tag on my room of so not disturb on days I didn’t want the room clean, they ignored this and still came in.

The hote is starting to show signs of wear and age, and the beds were not comfortable but for us it was about location,, proximity our family apartment, restaurant and beach was all within walking distance.

Overall would stay here again, we has a corer suite room with a balcony. I would prefer the option for luxury mattress and bedding.

Loved the Hotel Mainake.

Great location with access to everything in town. Very close to the beach.
A clean and comfortable hotel. Loved my private terrace and being able to sit outside and relax.
Hotel staff spoke English, they were friendly, inviting and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Back in Torre again

As always a good stay in Torre. Rooms are large which is nice. They could use some updating. The hairdryers are so old and blow very little air. Usually I bring my own. Front desk staff are very nice-it is a part of why we return.

Still a lovely place to stay

Staff are always nice. The room is large and comfortable. Needs painting and better cleaning of the whole room, bathroom and terrace. Many marks and mold remain after many stays in the same accomodation, mentions to staff and reviews would have thought this would have been done. Attention to cleaning is needed.

Our second time here and a great stay. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.😊
We are also pleased to report that our laptop was found in our room the last time we stayed and returned to us.
Glad to see the hairdyers are working (I did bring one).
Location is excellent. Parking was found on the street but the parking garage is always a plus. We brought friends who have accessible needs and their room was perfect. Shower only made it accessible with ease. Our room has a tub/shower combo that they could not have used. The lobby had a place to store the scooter and charge it.
The only note on condition is some wear and tear: in the bathroom-water damaged door cracked bidet, in the bedroom-scuffed, dirty walls,crack by AC. Also, real hangers would be better always; on this trip, my hand is bandaged from surgery and these are almost impossible to use with one hand.
One other suggestion it would be nice to know you need to bring pool towels in advance as when traveling some people may not have packed them. (I don't buy and use towels without washing them first, so not an option).
Our friends also enjoyed and will return when back in Torre del Mar. We all live in Spain so enjoy time here when we need a beach trip.

Housekeeping not to be trusted. Sad end

Sadly, the trip was great until I forgot my laptop on top of the black safe in a black bag in the dark closet. Called back to say we'd left it there at about 19:30 and were told to call back the next morning as housekeeping had gone home. Called back in the morning and were advised the room was disinfected and new guests were in the room so could not look, but assured the housekeeping had not found it the day before. Seriously, the room they said checked in VERY late after my call? Why then, did they not go and look? Granted, my fault for missing it but really not to go look. It was very easy to miss. Which is how I did. Sad there is no honesty. I even left a tip for the housekeeper.
Also, they disabled the hairdryer for the COVID? This should be on the website in advance. Stayed in Seville last week and the hotel had hairdryer. Stayed in Antiquera and they had hairdryer???
Otherwise, the hotel was great; nice check-in, clean room, good size, comfortable. Great location.

easy checkin at 1 a.m. street parking very nearby, hotel is on a wide road but reached through narrow streets. very good room. very good value. large balcony (this room was at end of row). located a few blocks from beachfront (but within built-up residential and hotel district), a few blocks from (one end of) town centre.

Only one extra pillow in a double room, shower needs a new wall bracket as rhe one in the bathroom was too loose and when the hand set was in it turning the shower was turned on it was throw backwards and soaked the towels on the rack at the bottom of the bath

Stayed here as we were going to a show close by. For the price(much cheaper than the taxi fare home) hotel was fantastic. Will definitely stay again for a longer break. Sun terrace and pool on the roof an added bonus.

After a previous visit we chose to stay at the Mainake for 3weeks. Any small issues were dealt with quickly and efficently by friendly staff. Attached to the hotel is a pleasant cafe/bar and the area has a number of good restaurants.

Well worth a visit

Would recommend this hotel. Always kept clean in the rooms, Good housekeeping staff and very friendly.
There are a few nice bars just across the street, with plenty of restaurants close by,
I would certainly stay here again when coming back to Torri del Mar.
Rooms are a good size, The is good WiFi signal and we were om the top (3rd) floor. The only criticize is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room

We just needed a room for one night. This hotel suited us. However, the sign does not mention \"Maineke\". It only has the word \"Hotel\" and it took us a while to realise we had driven past several times.

Very convenient location

I was there on a 5 day break to visit my house in the hills about 20 mins away from the hotel. I had my parents with me, we had adjoining rooms (though not interconnecting) so this was very convenient. I found the hotel clean and the room also spotless and very comfortable. I did find it more dates than I had anticipated. The location is perfect for accessing the town, the restaurants and the fabulous beach & promenade. We always found free parking outside which was great. You can even hire bikes. The only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there was a coffee machine near the lifts that was available for use when the bar/coffee shop was closed

Nothing wrong with the hotel as such, but the internet connection was extremely poor.

If a hotel is advertising wifi, it has to be usable. We need to name and shame those whose are useless.

I booked my husband the hotel to have one day business in Malaga, when I did the hotel search, I didn't pay attention to the city name, it's one hour driving distance from Malaga... But it's my fault, I would suggest hotel.com didn't put the hotel there if people tried to search hotels in Malaga or at least give a little hint.

Very clean hotel

Didn't know what to expect as I booked at a very good rate and found the hotel very clean and very helpful staff. There was even free water in the fridge and the breakfast had a great choise of food including cereal, cold meats ,fried eggs ,toast ,croissants and a wide selection of drinks.
It was a quick stay so I didn't have time to use their swimming pool but hopefully will return

Fantastic value for money

The room was spacious and much nicer than the web pictures indicated.
Staff were really helpful, and spoke excellent English.
I arrived after the restaurant had closed, but there are some really great restaurants nearby.

Friendly staff who were always on hand help. Sun terrace on the 4th floor with a small pool was a very pleasant place to relax. An extra bed was provided for the room when my daughter visited from Granada. Good place to stay. We had quiet room on the 3rd floor with a balcony. Bottled water was put in the mini fridge each day. There is also a free safe- which some other hotels have charged for.
There are lots of information leaflets and a small book library too.
Los Larios, the cafe bar at the end of the hotel is run by a very friendly lady. It was a very relaxing and pleasant experience.

We had a great time in Torre Del Mar. Lots of great restaurants to try and walk along beach very easy. Hotel staff were very helpful in providing bus and train timetables to nearby towns.

Comfortable, clean, good value for money.

Just a block behind the sea front cafés, restaurants (and a lighthouse)and a few minutes on foot to the centre of town and the bus station. Our room (311) had a sunny balcony and sea view ( admittedly , between the blocks of flats in front ). Staff were lovely, cafe/bar modern, warm and cheap, room comfy and spacious with well equipped bathroom complete with bidet and constant , piping hot water. Very efficient - if noisy- air conditioning/ heating system which depended on French windows being firmly shut to work, we , eventually, discovered . Everywhere spotlessly clean. Decor un memorable 1990s. Functional, comfy , value for money at less than £40 per double per night. Breakfast adequate - 9 euros - but lots of nearby cafés where coffee, juice and hot croissants costs about 3.

\"Fantastic hotel in a good location\"

I would strongly recommend this hotel. The facilities and location were excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly and we got a brilliant deal with Expedia. As not many English visit this resort my partner and I had the pool to ourselves most days especially at siesta time. Buffet lunch and dinner are provided in the restraunt at only ten euros each and although we didn't actually buy one the food looked fab. We would definately go back to Mainake.

A clean and comfortable hotel room. Very friendly and helpful English speaking front desk staff. The only negative is the breakfast. Nothing edible really. And the coffee comes out of a machine. But the attached cafe out front is a good stop for coffee, drinks and snacks.

Todas las instalaciones estaban bastante limpias. Usé el servicio de lavandería y muy bien la verdad.

Del baño, todo bien, ducha nueva, y me encantó lo de.la duchita del WC. Un gran acierto.

Camas bien, aire acondicionado ok.

Quizás lo que menos me gustó fue lo de la.pisicina, porque era pequeña y sólo había aforo para 25 personas.

Pero he estado a gusto y sin duda repetiré y lo recomendaré.

Et un hôtel très calme.

Ehrlich gesagt muss ich allem 5 von 5 Sternen geben das Zimmer wurde immer auf Wunsch gesäubert desinfiziert sowie aufgeräumt auch das ich mal ausversehen Geld da gelassen habe aufn Tisch (waren vielleicht 10€ und bisschen Kleingeld) war noch da sprich von Zuverlässigkeit ist große Rede gewesen die Rezeption auch alle supernett und als wir ankamen war der Check in noch 5 Stunden später erst jedoch konnten wir schon vorher ein checken danke noch mal sehr dafür

Best hotel in Torre

Clean and nice looking hotel. If slightly worn in places. Best hotel in torre del mar that we have stayed at.
The pool area with sunbeds and some cover from the sun. Note that the pool is not heated so in April it is quite cold.
Good pressure in the showers. Spacious rooms.
The only real downsides are the lack of sound proofing from the corridor that did not bother us but sensitive guest might get annoyed, and we missed a clothes rack on the balcony for drying clothes.
A bonus is the nice CrossFit gym across the street.
