Was a big mistake

The hotel is clean, but recaption staff are not professional. The gym is poor condition with equipment and opens from 10am till 10pm. I reserved the largest sweet and it’s small compared to other hotels. Bed are bad mattress everyday you’ll have back pain and ache. They try to squeeze money on normal services like asking for ice bucket which is free in all the hotels around the world.

I would to thank all the staff. Hotel are rated based on the staff. They definitely make all the different. I can say I didn’t meet a single unkind person. I would always stay in this hotel great service. The place is quite and peaceful and staff are very accommodating.

It is an older hotel, and like many other things it is suffering from the curse of covid 19, it could use a coat of paint and some cosmetic maintenance. Having said that, the staff more than makes up for the building's short comings, they are friendly, courteous and extremely attentive. I would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Helnan. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and very helpful. A special shout out goes to the front desk crew who knew us by first name, and the restaurant staff who were ready with our special drink orders every morning and overall very attentive.
The hotel is a little dated, but was overall very clean and the rooms are very spacious. Our travel party had two rooms, a corner suite and a classic room. The bedrooms are very large and the beds were very comfortable. The corner suite has two rooms with an additional living area with a sofa (not a sleeper though) and a large terrace which was nice for family gatherings.
In terms of the location, if you’re unfamiliar with Cairo, this is not at the heart of the city. In the typical traffic you’re about 30 minutes from the pyramids, over an hour away from downtown Cairo and 1.5 hours away from the airport. It suited our needs as we needed to be in that part of town, and for everything else we used Uber mainly, and a few taxis. Uber was extremely convenient and I’d recommend using it. We also had a car for one night, the hotel provided free parking on site which is nice. One thing to note is that is that the hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. If you’re looking for a shuttle service the airport does have one for a reasonable cost. You have to prearrange it though.

The staff is very efficient, welcoming , and friendly.
The room is nice, clean and comfortable where you can find everything you need.
As an Expedia Gold Member, I was happy to find the VIP Access benefits available at the hotel and the staff thankfully made sure that I receive all the benefits.
My stay at the hotel was really wonderful.

I was surprised that the property looked so different than on the website. Sometimes front desk are rude and don’t want to answer questions about the town. In addition to cleaning rooms; they don’t really clean the bathrooms at all or change the sheets everyday

Due to the fact the hotel I usually use was full - the HELMAN was the closest to the plant I had meeting at. The property was new - good condition - clean - it was being used by the Egyptian Football Team.

Dirty Hotel, Poor Service, Unprofessional

I stayed in the hotel for 3 week (21 Days), Dirty Hotel, The Pillow was uncomfortable at all, I asked the Guest Service many times to change it, but they told me the didn't have another type of size of the pillow, the restaurant don't have variety of food, the laundry service was poor, every time i asked them to iron my t-shirt they bring it back without anything changed and i asked them to make them iron again!

Everything was good except the gate's security they appeared a little bit loose when asking for my driving licenses each time I enter the hotel in order to verify my identity. This seemed very obvious at night shift, the officer was asking me if they photo copied my licenses or not !! , my answer was simply i don't know it's you job. He was a bit rude while asking for my driving licenses.

Great Staff and quiet hotel

Nice and relaxing time. Staff very helpful, especially pool attendant and restaurant staff. Security is very good as the hotel is on a compound. Excellant facilities and real value for money. Dreamland park is very close which has some shops and a bank.

Quiet area in a gated community

Security made me feel so safe since they have a guard dog , look in car trunks and ask for the drivers license . Hotel is clean and staff members are eager to help . My room was very big. Hotel has a nice restaurant and beautiful pool. Some times they have live music at night . The breakfast buffet is sure to please everyone with it's variety of foods. Hotel is located in a quiet new city that has an amazing new mall. Mall of Egypt is only a five minute drive away. Hotel is also right next to a big theme park. I would definitely return .

The rooms are in an average condition. The hotel needs a renovation. Carpet was badly stained . No internet in the rooms only in the lobby. Breakfast buffet is good. Hotel is in a quite area.

Convenient hotel but not to stay longer

I had to stay 6 nights but I had to pay for 7 (??). The payment should be done at the end not at the first day (check-in) even the booking was for more nights.

It was great though the restaurant could do with better organizing and new methods to cope with over crowding, as the staff were very friendly but obviously rushed off their feet, as for example they had to bring the milk for tea etc at breakfast time in little kittles. that could be avoided by using a container like other hotels. and the room cleanliness with not the best as the fridge smelt badly but when we asked for it to be cleaned properly they cooperated nicely.

Last time to visit after many happy years

Been coming to this hotel for years. Really strange to be the only person now staying here. Helpful for visits to Smart Village but looks like end of relationship. Hotel power was up and down and pool was always "Being cleaned". Food is good. If you want peace and quiet and your own 200 room hotel. Enjoy.
