Good parking under hotel, with lift to front desk and rooms. Great location, 5 minute walk over bridge into downtown and 10 minute walk to King John’s castle. BEST meal for supper EVER, food is great! Nice bar and restaurant area to eat in, or just relax. Would stay here again!

Location was very nice. Right on the river with a nice outdoor patio area. Parking was very convenient, with the attached garage. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the pool or other amenities since we were flying out early the next day. Our room was large and comfortable. Some of the furniture was worn and in need of attention. Staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. They have a nice restaurant / bar area but the service we experienced there was poor at best. Server wasn't knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered and received our entrees within about 10 minutes, which is never a good sign. The food was not good at all. We ordered a simple dessert and, after waiting for 40 minutes, we had to give up and cancel it and ask for the check. Our server could not be found anywhere.

We were upgraded to the executive floor. Room was spacious and clean. The food situation was a disappointment. Dinner in the restaurant was cold and we seemed to be forgotten by the staff. 1 hour 45 minutes to have a beer and a couple of appetizers. Room service breakfast lacked about the half of what we ordered because they were out of stock. Room was good though.

I booked a balcony suite which was disappointing. The room was a good size, but poorly appointed. While there was a nice balcony, the exterior space was all enclosed in an atrium with all of the other balconies which afforded zero privacy and no one made use of the their balcony space.

The executive lounge had a very meagre offering compared with other typical concierge lounges.

I recently stayed at the Limerick Strand Hotel and had a fantastic experience from the moment I arrived. Sophie at check-in was absolutely amazing, warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She set a great tone for the stay.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a lovely view over the city. The leisure facilities were a real bonus. The location is perfect too, just a short walk to the city centre.

Overall, a brilliant stay made even better by Sophie’s friendly service. I’ll definitely be returning!

I thought certain aspects of the hotel are a little shabby and worn compared to when i last stayed some years ago. The breakfast was just OK. Some hot items were missing even thiugh wexarrived in plenty of time. . Our stay was comfortable and the staff pleasant and heloful. €12 for overnight parking is a bit steep. I would have hoped it would have been free or discounted.

The staff were helpful. There was a mix up with our breakfast on the morning of our check-out. It is a very beautiful hotel and wonderful location. It was difficult to reach the vending machines when needing a drink / snack... your key only accesses your floor / lobby / parking .. which is nice for safety. Also on our check-out day the maid entered our room at about 8am.. just opened the door enough for us to yell we were in there.. I didn't appreciate it... but all the front desk said was sorry. They said they didn't have record we were in the room.. which explains the breakfast not being delivered too. :( But we had another stay a few days later before flying out and all went smoothly and our dinner was great that evening. Very nice bar / restaurant too.

Friendly staff, special thanks to Sophie at the front desk who gave us so much advice on where to go and how to get there. The whole hotel was very clean, Award-winning breakfast and Darragh kept the buffet running smoothly.Really liked that nothing was disposable.
We had a lovely quiet room, with a shower and a separate bath.Only issue was we arrived on foot from the bus station and there’s no ramp at the front, just steps, the ramp is at the back close to the drop off. Great views of the river.

I did not like that access to the underground parking required making a telephone call in order to be admitted after dark. It does not feel safe. There should be a buzzer system in place. This would definitely be a deal breaker for me in the future.

A bit dated property. Very small shower with the shower head to loose to hold its position. The shower doors often coming out of its railings. Air conditioning not working. WiFi internet extremely slow 4-7Mbps so nearly unusable. Curtains a bit broken, unable to get the room dark. Probably won’t stay here again.

However, some of the staff (not the managers or supervisors, but lower rank employees) were very friendly and helpful!

The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. But the balcony was so odd. All of the balconies are enclosed, encased in glass. Totally claustrophobic. When you step out of the room onto the beautifully furnished balcony, it is hot, noisy (like an echo chamber) everyone can hear everyone else’s conversations. And what’s worse, you can see your neighbors, they are right there!

The service wasn’t great. Just okay. It took about 30 minutes for us to have some teabags delivered and our room wasn’t cleaned in a timely manner (or well). The front desk staff was not welcoming or very helpful at all. In fact they were kind of smug.

All that being said, I would definitely stay there again. Parking was easy, the fish and chips in the restaurant were really good, it has a great view and the location was perfect.

Probably our favorite stay in Ireland. Limerick was a delightful city to visit and Limerick Strand Hotel was a huge part of our enjoyable stay. Easy parking underneath the hotel, early check in offered at no additional cost and friendly hotel staff.

Narayan was our server both nights we dined at the hotel restaurant and he was amazing! We are still amazed at how he was able to manage the entire floor seeminglt by himself.

Very good stay, was there on business but got full use of the restaurant, bar, gym and pool.
The restaurant was spot on with delicious fresh food. The gym is a good size but was busy, but it was 6pm.
The pool is perfect and has a full selection of stream room and sauna.
The room itself was a great size and full of all the amenities needed including free of charge bottled water.
The bed was very comfortable and I haven't slept so well in a hotel in a long time.

Breakfast had a good selection but maybe the quality of produce was lacking compared to the evening selection.

Although the other side of the River Shannon to the city it was only a short walk across the bridge. Unlike some other city hotels there not only was parking available under the hotel, but at the time we were there more than ample parking, albeit at a not insignificant cost. Our room was spacious, well decorated, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. The inclusive buffet breakfast was very good and we also had a meal one night in the hotel which was good too. A very smart hotel in a lovely city.

It's a good location right next to the river. The hotel has access to a small lap pool, jacuzzi and gym in the building. The lobby and bar is nice. The room itself was a good size but a bit dated and slightly odd smell but not horrible.

Hotel was in a good location. Not down in the middle of the city, so quieter, but a short (10ish minute) walk to anything you would need. The front desk guy ok. Not super helpful, but got us checked in. The smell in the lobby is strong and doesnt smell good. But the smell was confined to the lobby. Room was spacious, clean, and quiet. There was a show at castle nearby we could see and hear from our room which was nice. (Concert was quiet by 10) overall, hotel was fine and i would stay again if i was visiting the area.

The Strand is a very good example of understated competence. Mirroring the swans on the Shannon directly outside, you know a lot of skill and care must go in to keeping such a large and popular hotel \"afloat\" but to the observer, it seems so smooth and simple.
Rooms are equipped for comfort and ease: there's storage so you can tidy your things away, and how guests would use the space is anticipated, including conveniently placed mirrors and a TV you can cast to from your own device.
In short, The Strand is set up around the guests' requirements, and a stay there is truly comforting.
