The safe batteries ran flat causing me to be locked out, but swiftly sorted out by maintenance. I expect the hotel to be top notch as soon as renovations is sorted out!

The recent changes and additions were lovely to see. The coffee/tea selction has always been very good, with the little biscuits, but the chocolates were a nice treat. The room was huge, clean, and luxurious. The only problem I had, which the hotel couldn't help with was girls laughing and talking outside our room at the end of the hallway. We only had 3/4 roll of toilet paper in our room, and the weird one, is no outlets next to the bed, so we could plug in phones or the CPAP machine.

Exceptional experience at The George hotel

Our room was impeccably well-maintained each day. Always felt comfortable due to the cleanliness and everything like coffee, tea, free waters, were refilled without question each day. The restaurant in the hotel was exceptionally good and we ended up eating there most days for at least one meal. It was also not very expensive and such good food. The hotel offered a 27Euro parking pass for 7 days. This was very reasonable considering the fact that the parking ramp’s normal cost was 27 Euros per each 24 hours. We enjoyed this parking pass with unlimited, multi-entry parking just a block and a half away. Great experience at the George.

Great stay!!

Very clean, comfortable and staff were truly accommodating. After a long day and a half of travel, we were able to get in to our room a little early which was wonderful. The restaurant (Vincenzo Grill) was amazing and there were many pubs and shops easily within walking distance.

This is a very nice property. Very clean, nice amenities, great restaurant. The only challenge is staying here in the summer if you have a room facing the street. It’s nice that the windows open enough for air circulation, but unfortunately, the beeping noise from the crosswalk signal is tough to tune out. We appreciate that they have tried to help this by providing 2 fans in the room. If both fans are used and the windows are open just long enough to air out the room. I’m sure this is probaly more an American problem as we are used to A/C.

Place was nice and clean, but I received an email request to let them know when I would be checking in. When I was delayed, I called to let them know and the person I spoke to was very nice, but said it didn't matter because their reception desk was manned 24/7. It made me wonder why they needed to know when I was checking in then.
And when I did check in, I was tired and hungry. I asked if the pub across the street was OK for dinner and the man at the front desk said he had no idea and recommended the hotel restaurant. Staff should be able to review the places nearby.

Very nice hotel in the city centre

It’s very nice to stay at the hotel. The location is probably one of the best as it’s in the city centre and surrounded by shops, pubs, and restaurants.
The conditions of the room and the services were also great. Sound insulation was good too, which is a very important feature.
I would stay in the hotel again next time when i visit and I’ll also recommend friends and family to do so.

Breakfast was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at in Ireland over the past month - my avocado toast had at least one whole avocado on it, possibly more. Parking is off-site, but an easy walk just around the corner - however we did not find any place to drop off luggage, so we had to make a couple of trips back and forth.

Wasn’t happy about people walking into my room at 6am in the morning and what made it worse was when I went out for breakfast I was unable to enter my room very strange that others had access but I didn’t. Staff was apologetic and extended my checkout time which I didn’t need. Would have been nice if maybe they had comped my breakfast at least
Maybe this is how hotels are run in Ireland but doesn’t seem very safe or comfortable to be woken up by strangers in your room and then you are denied access to a room with your belongings well before normal checkout. I think I will ask about this policy at the next place I stay at in Ireland

Lovely welcoming hotel. Easy access to public transport and shopping area. Friendly and helpful staff.

Nice big bright room with a large comfy bed and a well stocked Nespresso machine. The Rituals toiletries provided added to the luxury of the stay.

Little extras in the room were pleasant additions, such as little box of chocolates, slippers & grooming kit to mention a few.

Only issues were aesthetic, the lack of doors on the wardrobe and the bathroom could do with being updated. The lack of doors gave an unfinished look to an otherwise perfect room. The decor in the bathroom seemed a little dated.
