I have stayed there two nights. The second night the mirror felt down in middle of the night but I was so intoxicated by the food eaten at the restaurant that I did not noticed until the next morning. I woke up feeling dizzy, with body aches. The breakfast is very poor but the restaurant has great amenities. The price is affordable

This hotel left me with the worst memories.

I checked into this hotel late on a Saturday. The room I was given wasn't clean. There were no towels, shampoo, or soap. The bed sheets and pillowcases were dirty and had to be washed. This hotel is a party place with loud music every night until 4 a.m. I barely managed to fall asleep at 4:30 a.m. on my first night. I was assigned a different room and was able to sleep the remaining three nights. Overall, this hotel left me with the worst memories. The two photos below were taken at 3:20 a.m., when I went to the party venue to ask them to turn down the music because the noise in my hotel room was keeping me awake. It's a shame the photos don't convey the loud noise.

Warning! Death trap for sleep and rest ahead !

Nothing to say about the comfort, the cleanliness, the welcome, the dedication of the staff. The setting is pleasant, there is a very large swimming pool. The breakfast services are acceptable given the very economical price, although the offer is rather low-end. Given the tourism situation in Tunisia, the management's effort to keep its hotel upright should be highlighted. But there is a very big problem, and it would seem strange if I were the first to point it out: The hotel is part of a fairly large resort, of which it seems that the first argument of attractiveness is... the nightclub , frequented by many more external guests than there are guests in the rooms, which delivers a deafening flood of sub-bass decibels and rhythmic vibrations, which renders all hope of sleep and rest vain from 19:00 and until 02:00 in the morning during the week, and until 04:00 at night from Friday to Saturday. This is not a mild inconvenience, but a severe medically-harmful nuisance. It should be be more than appropriate and professional to warn customers of this inconvenience at the time of booking. Imagine the disappointment of customers having booked for a long stay, focused on relaxation during the day and a sleep cure at night.... Think about families with young children! This is a real commercial trap, harmful to psychological and physical health.

Not so good room for three kept needing to ask for towels and got nothing had to give towels from our room so they can shower. We asked 4 times at night said they'll bring them, asked again in the morning, nothing, breakfast was not at a good standard for international visitors.
The beach was the only redeeming part of this whole thing a d it was a bit of a walk behind the hotel no room in hotel is really on the water.

This hotel has a program at night that starts at 9 or 10 in the evening and does not stop until 4 in the MORNING! It is extremely loud music and we and many of the other guests just could not sleep at night. We complained several times but Management did not care at all. Also, when the cleaning ladies are mopping in the reception or anywhere, there are no \"wet floor\" signs. I slipped twice and almost fell. I have hip replacement so I did not feel safe. Also the beach is filthy. Broken glass everywhere and trash. The pool tiles were coming off in many places and there were a couple of times the water was green because there was no pool maintenance. It seems that the Manager only cares about this night life program because he never talked to any of the guests and had no intention of changing this. I went there to rest and relax and could not at all. Expedia needs to put in the description of this hotel about the music because if I had know this, I would never have booked at this hotel.

The doors are not safe to leave any valuable stuff inside, but you can leave them at the reception. You can park the vehicle behind the locked gate. Friendly staff but the place wasn't too clean. I did not expect miracles for the price.

The hotel is in the middle of a major refurbishment and the builders are everywhere. To their credit the hotel accommodation block where clients stay was clean and tidy. The hotel did say that they informed booking agents of this, however, this seems to have by-passed Hotels.com!

It should be closed during this time, in my opinion.
The room had no hot water, making for very uncomfortable showers.

Not clean at all. Very poor WiFi connection. They changed rooms three times to find a room with decent WiFi and a decent TV but didn’t have a clear view. I don’t mind old hotels but if old and very poor maintenance and dead ants in washrooms in all rooms visited then something is wrong with the management and cleanliness level. I cancelled my reservation after first night and went to a much better hotel at comparable rates

The front desk is saying that we don’t have a hotel reservation when I already fully paid it in Hotels.com.
The hotel is pretty much ok for a short stay. The bed is ok but the pillows were hard causing me and my friend both had a stiff neck the next day. They have not maintained much the place as it is off season.

The rooms are not clean, the phone didn’t work and there is no WiFi inside the rooms. The bathroom is dirty and old. Even the furniture and the linens are very old and the didn’t change them everyday. Some of the stuff are nice and helpful but other they are rude and not respectful. Housekeeping is not up to par. The room never gets dusted, the bathroom does not get any cleaning. The sheets are not changed after the guests leave. The towels are unclean and worn out. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Advice: get receipt when you hand out cash.

The hotel should not be advised by Expedia .room were dirty,hair on beds, no mattress Proctor on beds. Toilet sit had pee on it. Bath tab was blocked, shower curtain was dirty! Heating wasn't working we had to sleep wearing our coats on! It was terrible experience!

This is the 7th time I have stayed at Aqua Viva. It was cheap - only 32$ US and clean. Need a taxi to get there though.
Nice, pleasant staff and decent breakfast. Some very noisy foreign guests who don't seem to respect the culture.

I find the price is right and the bed is comfy. Bathroom bit dated but clean and water is hot!

Very poor and bad behaviour in managements team

It was the worset hotel after staying 3 weeks.
Initaly the shows up a good and positive signee but suddenly the miss behaviour with bad attitude (reception) team force me to pay extra money and unfortunately NO food was deliver even after I booked for lunch and dinner. I do understand a maintenance going on as per there're reason, but they schuld contact you to let you know and to avoid person book this hotel.

In regard the cleaning its worst even but for the first 2 weeks was good, but my blame is to supervisors who run the hotel and seems to me that they do it in purpose to let the visitors leave the hotel due to there're maintenance.

I show them that my room is for max 3
Why do I have to pay 12 USD after spending 2 weeks in the same hotel.

Finally,
NO way to complain at the hotel because its for a hotel managements

The resort is improving

We stay at Acqua Viva because it is a good value. It's clean and they management continues to upgrade, slowly. The TV didn't work, nor has it on previous visits. Food is decent and the restaurant staff is friendly and hard working.

No wifi in rooms, only in reception, with low speed connection. The first day I get a room without TV,. There is no shampoo and no bath gel. The first day at night I had a big leak in the sink. It took half a day to fix it. Also It took 2 days to get the key of the safety box (it written 2 dinars a day, and when I went to the reception, the receptionist asked for 5 dinars). In the breakfast the juice was very very bad,if you drink it you die. No fridge in the room.

Staff were friendly, pool area deserted didn't look like it was maintained, en suite was shabby, cracked sink, food was ok although I didn't eat there much. There is a lift which is a plus and there are a couple of English channels which come on TV. If your looking for cheap and cheerful then this is one of the place's you can go but don't go with high expectations. Nothing outside hotel need to get cab to centre. I did feel pretty safe though for those concerned. Would I use again... No next time I rather pay extra for a much nicer Hotel

This is not a 3, 2 or even a 1 star hotel. Situated miles away from everywhere, at 22 km (15 miles from the airport with no taxis about to take you back). The only compensation is the staff; frienfdly & they had to be, otherwise no one would want to be in the hotel. Old decor, old beddings & beds, old draperies, old, old, old.......Everything.

very basic standard… room was clean but we needed to request a change for the smelly cigarette smoky room we were first given. Viva la Acqua Viva!

On my first visit to Tunisia I found this hotel a delight. Nice environment and friendly staff. The taxi drivers were always willing to go the extra mile (excuse the pun) to help you get a great photo or your postcards mailed in nearby La Marsa. The pool and environs were very conducive to lounging and the beach is literally steps down the path. I think Acqua Viva was a great place at a great price!

This Hotel was fine for our family holiday - most of the staff were kind and friendly - food was decent, indoor pool was ok - room was satisfactory, it was right by the beach and although it was a long way from the city it was nice to be a bit exclusive. You get what you pay for and this was a 3 star hotel - it was cheap - Overall we were definitely satisfied and might even return. Don't know why some ppl are complaining here

Unusual mix of culture and great experiences

Was awkward to find as whilst only just off of the main road it was not sign posted. 10 minutes from La Marsa by our hire car which was a lovely location. The hotel beach is stunning too. The culture is very different and tolerant of things in a different way than in the west, this is evident in certain idiosyncrasies generally in Tunisia. If you hire a car please remember the advice given by my car hire company was this ' indicate, be brave and go go go !!!' it was good advice, should you not have nerves of steel get a transfer or settle for having to use taxis !! I would revisit this hotel, I enjoyed it.

garbage strewn all around the hotel, grounds not maintained, weeds popping up everywhere, tennis court unusable, the net was destroyed, very loud disco music played over loudspeakers from 10 a.m to 3 a.m. the staff was sullen, unless you could speak Arabic or French and they could communicate to you. English-speakers don't even bother. to stay at Acqua Viva. Very old t.v. in the room and you will only get stations from Algeria, Tunisia, Al Jazeera and 2 French stations.Everytime I flushed the toilet, the plumbing pipe would leak out on the floor. Don't get me started about the food in the dining room

Not a bad hotel for the money!

The hotel does not have a great deal around it but if you just want to relax on the beach or by either of the two pools then it is a good choice. The staff especially the Animation team and reception were very helpful and nice.

The hotel has things to do to keep you busy such as archery, massages, mini golf, quad bikes and camel rides. I felt the food was quite nice....and good value!

The hotel does have a club but there were not too many guest while I was there so it was not very busy. You can easily get a taxi to a more lively area at nights....just make sure you get an average price from the reception so you do not get rip off by taxi's! Which happens where ever you go I suppose!
