Property is a bit far from town and the beach. It would be nice if the hotel provided some means of transportation to even just the beach.

Hotel is quite large, staff are friendly and very accommodating, lobby, reception and restaurants very first class. Pool and patio quite lovely. Rooms are large, bathroom could use an upgrade as well as the hallways which tended to be a bit noisy.at times.

This is a nice hotel however i wished the indoor pool was available and spa hamam service. The housekeeping and staff alike arw friendly the staff at resturant buffet style lack good english its hard french is wildely spoken.

2 star hotel - Will not come back!

Don’t expect a 5 star hotel. Our check in was 1 hour late, even though we got there late in the afternoon (4pm) . We were staying there only one night for a wedding, which we almost missed because of the delay.

There’s construction in the building which is very loud. Sound echos in the hallways and the staff and guests speak super loud so it’s impossible to sleep. We had a late checkout at 3 but kept being bothered by cleaning staff and front desk from 1 pm.

When I told the front desk about the above, they didn’t care one bit. Didn’t comp anything, didn’t apologize -Just told me I should have called and maybe better next time. I’ll never come back!

Golden Carthage Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. And this last one was probably the most enjoyable. They have some new staff there who all made me feel very welcome. The hotel has a very good indian restaurant and an Italian which I dined at many times. Over all good stay.

This is a charming hotel, with decorations inspired by the local history. Some of the aspects of the property are a bit dated, but they are in the process of (quietly!) renovating. The service was OUTSTANDING! I would happily stay here again.

Clean , in nice and safe area. not far from MARSA town. reasonable ride to the airport.
this is my third stay at this Hotel. the first one in June 2019 was not very pleasant ( one snoppy reception staff ) but ever since things were better ...
I would recommend this place to my friends..

The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was good. The door to the room and between rooms doesn’t keep out noise. If other guests pass the room u can here it very well in the room. Especially if they r talking or pulling a suitcase.
Inside the room, the towels need to be changed and the shower needs to be renovated.

Golden Tulip delivers again

My favorite place to stay during business trips. It is an older hotel, hence conditions of some rooms might require renovations. The food is very good with options of local cuisine, Italian and very good Indian place. The exercise gym is perfect and they also have an olympic size pool. If you feel like running, it is about 1.2 miles around on the hotel grounds and up the hill at some spots, overlooking Mediterranean. Overall, it is priced right, so for the value is perfect for me.

The property is nice but checking-in was terrible since i arrived after a long night flight ( 9 hours ) in the morning and a lady at reception tried to accommodate me to give me a regular room until 11am and then move to a better one but the a staff named EYMEN came and insisted that I pay 150 Tunisian dinars ( about 75 us dollars), when I told him that it was not reasonable to pay this amount for only three hours he was unpleasant, rude and condescending ....I had to wait on a couch for three hours...
I short this will be the last time I stay at this place

An excellent hotel in a peaceful and beautiful area of Tunis,professional staff , special mention to Khaled at the reception and the very welcoming security guards. Room is big and clean with all amenities needed for a confortable stay. Evening service is perfect . Food is delicious and hot . Thanks all staff for the great hospitality.

Golden Tulip has seen better days. Service is going down the drain and nobody seems to care.
The little details are no longer taken care of, and this is the unmistakable signal for employees that quality is no longer required from them. The service culure is getting the touch of Soviet Hotels in the late Eighties.

Terrible service and not a great hotel

This hotel has terrible service. The guy who checked us in didn't bother to check our name on the reservation, even though we gave him a print out of our booking and passports. He assumed it was under my husband name and worse, chose a completely wrong person with similar name to my husband and thought it was our reservation. After he assigned the wrong apartment (we booked the hotel, not the Resident Inn with the same name but looks terrible from the outside) for the wrong reservation, we came back into the hotel and tried to tell him that was not what we booked, he still didn't believe me and then he showed me the name on the reservation and I was appalled that he just assumed the name was my husband and never once bothered to look at my correct reservation, which was under my name. The hotel is pretty rundown for the price it charges. The shower head did not work so the next day we had to change room. The same guy said by the end of the evening our bags would be moved and our new room would be ready. We came back after 7pm and a different guy at the front desk told us nothing was done and that he has to start processing the move. He then apologized for the lack of service and then said he would send us a fruit basket. I didn't expect anything, and sure enough, the basket never arrived either. I'd never stay here again. It is very far from everything.

At the beginning they gave us a bad room next to construction site. Was not not good at all. Then after a small dispute, they agreed to change the room. If the reception desk gets a taxi then they arrange with a taxi company that is owned by the hotel manager and charge three times what the market fare is. The staff personnel in general were very good, friendly, and helpful; but not the upper management.

Very disappointed with the breakfast and with levels of service. I asked to take some milk from breakfast back to my room so I could enjoy tea/coffee with milk. I was told \"No\", just \"No\". I asked to speak to the manager who gave me a tiny amount in a plastic cup.
The breakfast spread was not impressive and the fruit pretty dingy.
The gym facilities were good and the room bright and clean with lovely views of the bay.

Each time I stay here it gets worse each time, I only ever stay here as I like the Indian restaurant there. Even though there manager is rude and a lier. But the food is good and the chef is nice been eating there for 3 years now. The Italian restaurant there is shocking don't bother. Most of the staff in the hotel are lazy and don't smile and extremely unhelpful but most of the hotels in the area are pretty much the same. I have stayed in them all and would say that the movenpick is the best of a bad bunch.

Check in took forever. They didn't have the record and they couldn't find it. Needed to call a manager at home. Clerk didn't really seem to care and took his sweet time going into the back room and coming back with no news. Also, bathroom light did not work so needed to use a flashlight.

Hotel is still up there with the best. Room cleanliness and comfort could not be faulted. The only issue was the in-house Italian restaurant. I've eaten there do many times and never had a complaint. However on this occasion the meal was terrible. Warm salad, that was meant to be cold. Frozen sea food and not even fresh at that, I have never had a poorer meal in Tunis. It was terrible.

Great Hotel and food was excellent, ideally situated away from the hussle but only 25 mins from airport and 10-15 mins away from most tourist spots, not alot of the staff spoke English but were very pleasant and helpful, Taxi's organised from hotel were very cheap although grabbing one street side they will try to charge you silly money, be firm and give them the going rate and they dont argue

Only one problem. Apparently everybody has private arrangments with the taxis, as always when they (corciege, bellboy or whoever) arranged for us a taxi we ended up paying double or triple of the value of the same . Even when we requested to the reception if the hotel had a transport to the airport, they said they didn't and arranged for a taxi (40 dinars) while, arriving at the airport we saw the hotel combi (that charged only 8 dinars per person). So perhaps you could inform of this to the hotel manager.

The hotel rooms are adequate and the pool is a nice area. My only issue really is with the front desk staff and managment who are very badly organised. I have headache checking in on a number of occasions with this hotel. In particular when having had pre-paid bookings through Expedia!

A very nice 5-star hotel. Luxury is there, rooms are excellent and have great view, nice bar with bowling ... nice restaurants and inside bars. Location is good and on the top od a hill and in the middle of a lareg park/forest along with other resorts (Gammarth area) and not too far from sidi bousaed & downtown ... all in all, it was nice and woth the money.
