Our rooms were clean but the pictures on hotel.com did not match the looks of the room. The room was much older and that was not told to us. And my daughter was getting married in the city that this hotel was in her room was terrible. The bed was very uncomfortable and they wouldn’t change it as a courtesy. They wanted her to pay $500 more per night to be moved to a more comfortable room, she had to sleep on the floor because her back was hurting from their bed

We were very excited to book Es Moli based on positive reviews and lots of social media posts. We booked what we thought was a standard one bedroom at the hotel and were very surprised when we arrived to be transported to a building called the “Annex” that was about a 7 minute walk to reception, and was very dated. We were disappointed because we could tell that there were rooms in the main hotel that were modernized and nicer and that is what we meant to book. When we told the hotel we were disappointed, they said that it was clear when we booked that we chose the annex. I honestly can’t recall if the booking said Annex, but in any event didn’t realize this is what we were booking and would not book again. We tried to upgrade but all rooms were full. We overheard other guests having similar complaints. It’s weird the hotel even has these rooms they really tarnish what is otherwise a good value property.
Overall the hotel is nice - the pool is as pictured, lots of seating near it and around the garden which is lovely. We enjoyed the private beach, which was beautiful and close to the property, with a free shuttle. Breakfast was a nice perk and food was good for value. Easy walking to Deia, for dinner reservations in town.
Ultimately, only recommend booking if you book a modernized ‘tramuntana’ room in the main building. The ‘traditional’ rooms are not 4 stars.

The room was lovely; clean and fresh , great shower, and v efficient aircon. Lovely balcony to sit out. The mattress was a little hot for me, although very comfortable, I think it may have been memory foam. There were so many highlights - the huge pool, loads of different places to have a lounger and relax. The views are spectacular everywhere you are in the hotel especially the breakfast terrace, this really is a very special place and I hope to come again some time. Thank you to all the amazing staff!

Gorgeous Mountainside View Stay
This was quick stop in Deià town for part of our honeymoon trip. The staff was very welcoming and even had a champagne bottle waiting for us for our honeymoon stay! The bed was comfortable and perfect walking distance to the Deià town. The pool was nice as well. I highly recommend staying here for a relaxed vacation.

Then a guest at reception asked for a tel number for a taxi so she could come back from Muleta when she wanted to - but the chap on reception said he didn’t have a number for a taxi.

We had a fantastic stay. Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean well appointed rooms. Good sized pool, Muleta is gorgeous (and drinks prices there are quite reasonable given the location).
The only slight negative is it would helpful to know the airconditioning wasn't on yet. Opening the window let in a cool breeze but as it shuts off the airconditioning we didn't know if it was broken or not.

Great hotel for the value you pay, the best thing is the included breakfast, hotels in the us that offer free breakfast should be ashamed, the breakfast is a buffet with everything you can think of to start your day, even a chef making eggs. The hotel is in great location, and parking is available if you rent a car, they even have a private beach and they take you by bus. I would definetively be back there, highly recommend

Great location. Plenty of amenities. The rooms felt modern enough, yet the building itself had a very typical Spanish architecture. More like a big house or mansion than a hotel. They have a terrific, private, ocean front/beach area. The bus will take you down there three times a day. Plenty of lounge chairs and even a bar facility to enjoy.
The only complaint would be the quality of the lunch and dinner that was available at the property- it is not all that great. That said, there is plenty of terrific dinning options in the area; either a short walk or drive away.

stunning property - well kept and maintained. We loved our room and the balcony view. The front desk staff was very unpleasant, disgruntled, almost irritated when asked ANY questions. It got to a point where me and my husband didn’t want to call or ask. The rooms and front desk could definitely use an upgrade but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The food at the restaurant was ok and honestly pretty expensive for an in hotel restaurant. It almost gave the feel of an all inclusive resort - many families and folks returning who love the idea of sticking around one spot.

Overall we were very disappointed. This is not a 4 star experience. There was one nice member of staff. Many others were just outright rude. The experience of arrival and departure felt more inline with a budget package holiday. The room does not even have shampoo, only soap. There is no coffee machine, no slippers. It’s very basic. I do not know how they have decided this is 4 stars. The positive is that the surrounding area is absolutely stunning.

Really beautiful pool, hotel grounds. 20 minute easy walk to town. Comfortable rooms. Really awful service. They seemed annoyed at every request. Also, there is a private beach, but you must reserve it in advance. This was a huge reason we paid more and it was full the entire time we were there, we could never go. Never saw you had to reserve in advance, and kind of garbage it was full.

This hotel is a dream! The property and grounds are incredibly picturesque, the hotel is quiet and small enough to feel exclusive, the staff are so hard working and kind. This hotel also feels very authentic which is a big plus as I feel some hotels can loose that. The restaurant el jardi is absolutely beautiful. This is one of those places to always remember. From talking to other guests it seems many people have been coming back over the years. If I can come back to Mallorca I will definitely be back!

My only suggestion is to have some water at reception like most hotels do (as they do not place new water bottles in the room on a daily basis, which I expected considering the price). My husband and I traveled to Deia for our honeymoon and had an amazing stay at Hotel es Moli! The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and has great amenities - a giant pool, a botanical garden, restaurants with great food, a gym, free breakfast and our favorite which really made the stay incredible - a private cove! They provide transportation to and from the private cove and there's a restaurant where you can eat lunch and drink! Getting a taxi in Deia is hard, so if you don't have a car it would have been hard to get to a beach on your own, so having this cove w/ transportation really puts Hotel Es Moli above the rest. We went twice in our 4 day stay because we loved it so much.
The hotel is also an ~8 min walk from the town of Deia, where you can shop, eat and drink which was awesome.
The staff is also great, and will do anything for you to make your stay incredible. They even gave me a pool noodle for the cove since I can’t swim :)

Two Canadians stayed in Es Moli for our second leg of our trip around Mallorca. This place is a gem!
First, THAT POOL (omg)! Pure 1940s European fantasy lying by the giant pool up in the mountains. This alone made the stay for us!
Service was quite good, though this was the first spot where we had English/communication issues, albeit only a handful of times.
Our room was a bit disappointing as it only had two small windows. I don’t believe Expedia gave the option to choose room types, but I saw other rooms had balconies and when staying in the beautiful mountains of Deya, I definitely would have paid for that!
Food was extremely good - the suckling pig in particular has been our top meal of the trip so far.
Deya itself is very small but very picturesque. I’m glad we only stayed for 2 nights otherwise boredom may have set in (but this is just me).

The pool is lovely but not many beds can go around the pool so the option is a side terrace bit. A major plus was their private beach area set in the rocks.
The major issue they have is with the service at meal times. Our first evening meal ensured that we would not dine there again. Our first contact with the waiting staff was extremely rude, we booked a reservation but somehow we were not on the list and he was attacking in his insistence we had to booked, I told him several times we had booked. he then looked irritated and hassled and dumped us on a table. We were not explained the menu, no one served us for some time it was not a good smooth service.
There are serious management issues with breakfast, the majority of staff are hassled, grumpy and running around. the sitting and cleaning of tables is disorganised and slow, Wanting to sit in a nice spot waiting for them to clear does not go down well, they come across as angry that you can't just sit down anywhere as they are not organised enough to clear tables. The food was delicious but the hotel has serious issues with the dinning area and really need to sort this out as many diners were not happy including myself.

Is one of the nicest I’ve seen at any hotel, and the private beach is spectacular. Staff are attentive. Normally I don’t like to eat dinner at hotels but the outside terrace for dining is lovely and the food is good.

We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay here at Es Moli. The location was pure perfection... Nestled in the mountains, beautiful roam-able property and views of the ocean. Deia is such a quaint, picturesque village and only steps away. It was so quiet and tranquil - exactly what we wanted. The staff was beyond friendly and the room was very comfortable. I really enjoyed my facial at the spa. Don't hesitate - book.

Deia/Valldemossas is a beautiful place in the middle of the mountain with the sea near by. This hotel is constructed on the different levels of the mountain and gives you an unique view. The terrace at the 3rd level for restaurant is lovely. The service was wonderful. The team is at every detail for you to have a wonderful time. Also it's very quiet, odeal to a complete relaxed vacation.

Friendliest staff. Can’t do enough for you. Perfect place and we didn’t want to leave. However what is typical of holiday makers is the reserving of sun beds. This is prohibited by the hotel but generally ignored. Can be quite annoying. However the hotel is fab, the surroundings are breath taking. The sun bed situation is the only criticism and that’s just people being selfish, no reflection on hotel or staff. Thank you Es Moli.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location
My partner and I stayed at Es Moli for 4 nights in early May. We had a superior double room with balcony on the 3rd floor in the main part of the hotel.
The hotel is a little eclectic in its layout – for example the dining rooms and bar are on the third floor, the pool best described as being on the 4.5 floor – this is because the hotel is arranged down one of the steep hills in Deia. It take a little getting used to but it does mean plenty of steps and stairs to do anything. On a precautionary note the annexe is something of a climb!

The hotel is a little eclectic in its layout – for example the dining rooms and bar are on the third floor, the pool best described as being on the 4.5 floor – this is because the hotel is arranged down one of the steep hills in Deia. It take a little getting used to but it does mean plenty of steps and stairs to do anything. On a precautionary note the annexe is something of a climb!

Again a lovely stay at Es Moli Hotel. A pity the drinks and meals are so expensive compared to other mallorcan hotels, but the location is wonderful. Recharges the batteries.

The Es Moli is a traditional old-world high service hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable with modern bathrooms. Very responsive staff, beautiful gardens & pool, an outside terrace for breakfast and evening drinks. The evening restaurant provides a la carte or prix fixe menus with 5 star service and food preparation. The buffet breakfast is expansive including multiple choices of fresh fruit, breads, made to order eggs, cereals,etc. The best \"extra\" is the use of the free bus service to Muleta Cove for a day of lounging and sunning on the turquoise Mediterranean in a private setting. You can walk to the town of Deia which provides local tapas restaurants and sidewalk cafes along with several historic sites including a hike to a public beach. Deia has convenient access along scenic roads from the ferry port of Alcudia or from Palma if you have a car.

We had a lovely few days at Es Moli. Although our room is rather old fashion and small, the bed and bathroom are fine. However the ballustad at the balcony is too high so couldn't see the lovely views when we sitting on the chairs. The breakfast was very good and stuffs were all friendly and helpful. Garden is really pleasant and relax. My husband loves the heated pool and enjoyed his swimming every morning. We also love the walk from the hotel to the Deia beach.

Great hotel. Lovely heated pool with fantastic views. Tasty breakfast. Walking distance to the town. If you aren't hiring a car there is a bus (210) that runs between Soller, Deia, Valdemossa and Palma that you can use for the hotel - it's not very frequent so check with the hotel/online for the timetable. It takes about 50 mins to an hour to the main bus terminal in Palma from the hotel.
