The hotel was beautiful and looks exactly how it does in the pictures and videos but only issue here is that it gets cold in this area at night time and my hot water went out. For the large nightly cost for this luxury hotel I would expect to not have any major issues like that. The staff were very kind and came to address the issue immediately, but even after it being addressed the hot water went out minutes later. I was excited after getting off of the beach to take a long, hot shower in that huge shower. This was a consistent issue for my stay for the two days. I definitely would expect to take more than a four minute shower with warm water at a hotel this expensive. I also had to call to get the heat turned on. I’m not sure if the reasoning was because it doesn’t get this cold as often but this particular night it was freezing in the room. The staff immediately came to address this issue as well, but they had to remove a plate out of the roof to turn some kind of knob. It just seemed like a big task for something I felt should be easily accessible to the guest without waiting for maintenance. Overall, I will still give this Hotel a 3 to 4 star rating. Everything around it was beautiful. All of the videos did the hotel property no justice. The restaurants, the entertainment, the staff, everything else was five stars. Unfortunately, the hot water in the heat were a big deal for me not only because of the amount per night, but because I am iron deficient.

Might want to think about changing out some of the carpets. Staff were outstanding. Our last night, a football team was staying. Someone near our room decided to start a party at 4am.

2 nd floor needs some attention.

Beautiful room with view. AC did not work or TV but they came to repair pretty quickly. Often there was a sewage smell in hallway. They tried to address it a few times. Shower sprayed out into the rest of bathroom. Often had to deal with puddles.

Overall we had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. What made it more memorable was Jonathan (manager) pleased us with extra welcome gestures by surprise visit and bringing us chocolates and champagne to make our stay even more pleasant and heartwarming. We appreciate his gesture and kindness very much.

Clearly this hotel was a favourite for Barcelona. Lots of locals try to get in so Security was tight. Always asking who are you. They offered access to the roof top lounge and dinning room. But never go there. Always book up. Could not get a table until 10 pm. Not for a family. Sunday night there was a big pool disco party and locals lined up. The main floor bars were packed. The location for swimming was good. The breakfast again was not up to a Marriott standard I am use too. Only self serve. Order fried eggs and never got them. On serve said the breakfast is covered but the tip is not? Most staff tried to accommodated but was it a 6 start, no not at all. At least the bathroom did not have clear windows into the room like a lot of hotels.

Terrible experience

Aside from the great location and view it was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. The first night the whole pool and beach area shutdown early for a DJ show and we couldn’t get anyone to get us drinks for at least 30 minutes. Shower leaked out into sink area and into toilet every time we showered. Anytime a neighboring door shut the mirror and whole wall rattled very loud. Couch and floor stained. Open concept to lobby and bar down below made for very loud nights and hard to sleep. Our keys stopped working on the third day we were staying there. I was very disappointed with this hotel especially for how much money I spent on the room. I would never stay here again.

The hotel itself was very nice. Very modern, great location. Checking in, proved to be an ordeal. Long wait with people cutting in line, not enough staff, terribly slow. Then my case didn’t work and I had to go back and wait again. Should be better for a five star hotel.

The view from the hotel is absolutely incredible and It’s nice to have beach front. However for the price the hotel is dated with paint coming off the walls and the baseboards throughout the hotel are dirty. It’s got a party vibe. The breakfast and the view were good. But not worth the price.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and clean, and the food and drinks were outstanding at all the restaurants and bars. It was the perfect place to spend our 30th anniversary. We loved that we were close enough to be able to walk into the city or easily grab a cab waiting outside the hotel, but also far enough away from the city that we had a luxurious place to relax when we returned from our excursions. We were very sad to leave and dream of returning again someday!

No turndown service. Asked the housekeeping staff at 11 am to wait 10 minutes before cleaning the room - came back 10 hours later and room not clean. Called front desk and the person that responded was very patronizing and rude.

Great location with gorgeous views. A little away from most of the attractions but just a 20 minute taxi ride from most of them. And always a taxi there waiting. All of the staff was great!!! Thought I left phone in taxi and young valet ran them down. Food was good. Looked like pretty popular place for the bar scene. My kids liked the view and how close it was to the beach. Rooms were great!!! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Close to the cruise port area. I would stay here again and try to use more of the amenities.

Beautiful room and view. Great staff in everywhere except the lobby bar. Took 30 min to get a drink. I actually googled when they opened cause the staff looked all very new. Was shocked to so how long it had been open. Breakfast was stunning. Room was 10/10. Too many Americans being ‘loud and American’ all over resort. Ahaha

They put me in that lower building on the second floor after a 9 hour flight. I was awake until after 2am from the noise in the bar. The bar waitress ignored us and was very attentive to only the male guests. The chicken sandwich in the bar was dry and hard.

This W never disappoints. Even though the hotel is nearly full, service was still fantastic. The gym is well equipped, has plenty of space and a gorgeous view. Food and wine are excellent and of course being on the beach makes this hotel unique in Barcelona. The only drawback is that you have to take a taxi to get anywhere - but small price to pay

The WIFI did not work so we could not do work or look things up while there. We also were not provided with towels and coffee for two people and the room was not replenished the second night we were there with any towels or coffee. The concierge and reception were amazing and the common spaces and spa were stellar.

Initial check in staff was rude. Extremely poor service to a platinum member. Didn’t even prepare our room early. At check out they tried to charge me again for the room. They had made the mistake and were trying to keep my money. Manager wasn’t willing to come out, he/she was busy. Eventually the attendant agreed that it’s on them, as I’ve clearly paid for the room in advance.

During that time, guests checking out were also complaining.

Rooms are disgusting, poor interior choice. The only good thing about the hotel are the views from your room.

Our tv was tuned to Middle Eastern channels with Arabic language or subtitles on most.

Don’t waste your money here. It’s a let down on the Marriot brand.

We booked this hotel which was conveniently located close to the cruise port. Quiet and clean. Staff was accommodating. Had dining options. Stunning view of the beach. Pool lounge area was amazing and clean. Nice bar lounge on main floor of hotel and rooftop bar with music in the evening. Spectacular views. Not close to shopping areas.

This hotel was fantastic. Its location is wonderful, but it’s a beach experience. If you want old Barcelona, stay more in the city center. But if you want the beach experience or breaking your stay in two parts (ideal), then W should be in your list.
