The room was dirty looks to me that the person just moped the floor and left at check in the rooms were not ready and it was a week day I just can’t imagine on weekends the restaurant are ok but I saw the food recycled the leftover was served at breakfast I’m sorry but I been in a lot hotels and I know about food and service next time I’ll find something else

The property is obviously 20 + years old. It needs a refresh or remodel. While it was fairly well kept, there was quite a bit more mold in my room than I anticipated. I know it is a hot and humid location, but the mold was excessive. There was excessive hair in out towels and on the bathroom floor as well. Service levels varied across the property. Some employees were very engaging while others avoided interaction at all cost.

The staff were very nice however the room was not. There were bugs in the bathroom and we found two geckos in our room during our stay. The cleaners did not give us new towels when they cleaned. The pools, food, and drinks were all good. The beach was nice but not many chairs to sit on.

The front desk staff were so kind and helpful .Outside grounds beautiful.
However the rooms are dated .we were only given sheets on the bed and they were so thin you could see through them .There was a rolled up blanket in the closet but it smelled of dried puke.
There were no hand towels and when we asked for a facecloth/washcloth we were told they had none and weee given a bath mat to use .
I asked for some clean sheets the next day and waited 2 hours and that was asking 3x
The food was ok and the drinks so so
Not we would expect for Tue price or a best western

If you're interested in a convenient all-inclusive at Jaco Beach, this may be your place. It is definitely not a luxury 5-star place - that is why I give it three stars. The facility is a bit old and is not fancy, but it is a Best Western and not a White Lotus. It gets a lot of use and the poor staff work hard to keep up with the demands of everyone expecting everything because it is an all-inclusive. We had an issue, and the front desk and hotel manager were gracious and understanding and resolved our issue without much trouble. Bottom line - good people working hard to accommodate everyone - facility is older and well used...

We had a great stay and felt very comfortable throughout our visit. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location right on the beach was a real luxury. Everything was relaxing and easy, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Good endless food. I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back and stay again.

The rooms were very outdated. The mattress was terrible! The bathroom had no counter space or lotions, etc Only one restaurant on site although most food seemed fresh the selection was mostly limited to area/cultural favorites. The beach was unapealing and the water was basically unswimmable due to the undertow and murky water. The pool at times appeared cloudy, lots of families with children. No poolside entertainment or evening entertainment. In the 10 days we were there, 2 days were spent on excursions, we only saw one game of cornhole, 2 water aerobic classes and a cheesy marching band that circled the pool. Bar drinks were very weak! Even when I asked for additional alcohol in a cocktail there was no difference
On a good note, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. And the resort was kept clean.

The hotel was too noise, and they play loud music until 1am every night but Monday. Guest there also are not polite enough about hall etiquettes' and talk loudly there early in the morning and in the middle of the night.
There is no gym in this hotel, so the description about it isn't accurate.
The rooms have mold because of excess of humid in the country, and if you have issues with it, you would better off finding a different place to stay because the ACs here are not good enough to keep the mold in challenge.
The hotel crew are nice, and the food is alright. The drinks are water down, but I can see why they have to do that.

We are so happy we chose this hotel for our vacation. Having all-inclusive makes everything else so much easier to do like day tours, beach time, pool time etc. The only thing we marked 4 stars instead of 4 is related to how the housekeeping doesn’t refresh towels and how you have to go to the front desk to request them and other items like bottled water (only two regular sized bottles at a time) soap. Despite this minor issue we were so happy with our stay here and hope to return!

If you want to make your friends back home jealous with killer views and do it on a BUDGET, Best Western Jaco is the perfect place! The grounds are immaculate- palms and that postcard perfect beachfront setup. Let's talk about some MVPs here: Aaron, Bryan, and Francisco at the bars. Quick, friendly, and mixology specialists who have a very heavy hand if you ask nicely. That said, I do wish the drink menu had a bit more flair. Espresso martini, anyone? The service overall was fantastic especially in the food & beverage areas. One nice perk of this property was the live music at night, several nights of our trip were done by local performers. A nice, authentic touch!

The rooms? they suck. DATED. Beds are rock-hard, walls are thin- you can easily hear loud music all day and until about 12 am. You're NOT coming here for luxury or a plush sleep- you're here for the beach and a strong drink to forget the bed. The food was very hit or miss. Some days we were vibing with the fried yucca, plantos maduros (scrumptious), juices and fruits, and chilled wine. Other days it felt like they couldn't get enough chicken, bland and so overused. The snack bar gave off \"school lunch line\" vibes- perfect for kids but you'd have to be very intoxicated to eat there.

If you're American and emotionally attached to bacon or conditioner for your hair- pack your own. Both of which would improve the experience. Pro tip: the beach-facing pool at the far end of the resort is the ultimate chill zone

Very nice place. Felt like there could have been more of a variety with the food, but the drinks were good. We were also limited on the number of pool towels we could use, couldn’t have more without returning our old ones and room service took ours before we left so we didn’t have any towels the last day. Being within walking distance from the beach and from most shopping on Pastor Diaz Ave was ideal. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good, and we definitely enjoyed how they did a different theme every night. Having Alsama Tours on-site to coordinate activities was great as well. Thank you!

The pros: The staff was amazing…very pleasant and eager to help. The restaurant staff especially was great (Jelsin E.)
Also, our room was clean (although small) and the reception area clean and well maintained.

The cons: The pool areas were not maintained or cleaned often. Chairs broken and dirty, cement crumbling, and the area around the large pool it’s not very nice with sparse grass and plastic chairs. Makes the hotel look cheap.
The food also was not very good. It was mostly tasteless and some was cold. The snack bar food was absolutely awful. Drinks were watered down.
Hotel is understaffed and we had to wait in line at reception every day for bottled water and beach towels. There was no no one on site to help with excursions
The main thing that needs MAJOR improvement is the food.

Let’s start off by saying this has been the worst resort I have ever been to. First off when I arrived they gave me a room with broken Air conditioning so they downgraded my room for the night and when I tell you that room was horrible tv didn’t work and the few channels you did get were all in Spanish . Next thing is the property details speak of 24 hour shuttle but are charging $150 to get you back and forth to the airport so about $300 just for an airport shuttle . This place is way over priced for what is being provided I don’t recommend coming here and the food was a 3/10 I will not be coming back here

They have not refunded us our money because we then had to go find another hotel that night. We have been calling the resort and the employees keep hanging up on us. My room lacked a bath towel when I checked in. Tried calling with the room phone but no ring tone. Made a trip downstairs to front desk and they told me the phones in entire hotel rooms were not working. They said I would need to come down if I needed something. for the price you pay the property is Nice. All the staff was helpful and accommodating which made the stay enjoyable. checking in and out was easy and hassle free. we were the only black people on the resort but I never once felt unsafe/ unaccepted by the staff members which was nice. the food at the resort could've been a bit better on some occasions but overall wasn't bad. the views of the sunset and easy and access to the beach was very nice. the location is vey ideal, everything was walking distance to the strip where there are clubs, restaurants, and convenience stores. overall a great stay for families, friends, or even solo travelers on a budget.

We went for a wedding so the whole party stayed there out of convenience for first time travelers. Overall the property was beautiful, rooms were okay, buffet food was the same pretty much everyday with slight variety made but the food was good. It was so loud and the music played until 1am. There was no sound-proofing to escape it. The birds wake you up at 5am as well, so you get very little sleep. The rooms were shabby and the facilities were not nice, and didn't function well. No mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold and not many places available to just hang out out of the heat.

Second time staying and it was great! The food is excellent, pools are spotless clean, and the room was dated but super clean. The staff was very friendly. The only issue we had (same as the first time), we had to ask for maintenance twice after waiting a long time to come and fix our safe. But all good and would definitely stay again and recommend!
