Poor Experience

I stayed there for 5 nights and was on a business trip. They have switched the entire air conditioning off, so in the room, you can neither switch on the A/C nor change the temperature. The room was facing the Main Street, which was extremely noisy even late into the night. I could not keep the window open and with everything shut, the room was very warm and suffocating. For 4 nights, I was unable to sleep properly and I had to work long hours on the following days. On the last night, after repeated requests, they turned on the air conditioning. This is unacceptable, least of all, by Marriot standards. There should be better ways to conserve energy. The hotel is expensive and the least one would expect for the money paid, is proper rest during the nights.
Also, I had an issue with the drainage in the bathroom sink. It took them time to fix this, so I wasn’t able to use the sink tap for one evening and morning.

- at the entrance, guy was very rude and we have our stuff and baby in hand , he didn’t alow us to enter before he see out he’s code,

My stay was amazing. As soon we arrived to the hotel we were upgraded to Executive suite instead of deluxe. We got smoking room which we were happy with that as we smoke. The room was luxurious including bed and bedding. Huge tv. The bathroom was great. Cleaning service every morning as per our request. There are few places to eat at the hotel which are by the pool bar or restaurant downstairs. We also had room service as we were lazy to take a taxi to eat outside. Hotel has great gym. State of the art equipment. Great pool. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Anything you need you can get it. Special thanks to Mr Enes for accommodating our needs like booking restaurant or booking nail appointment then cancelling for us as we did not have local number. We already missing the hotel and treatment there. We are definitely coming back in few months. Forgot to mention that we had late flight and hotel gave us late check out at 4pm which was really great and convenient for us. Great hotel.

Splendid Hotel

A really wonderful hotel to stay with all facilities on hand.
Taxi or a metro is a must to explore the European side of istanbul.
Several caffee places within walking distance from the hotel.
There is always room for quality staff training to communicate with overseas guests.
Breakfast is pricy & we ate at Mado for 1/3 of the price.

Renovation on a Saturday

I've seen better five stars. If five stars is a standard, this one doesnt meet it. 4.3 seems just.
Staff is doing their best though.
There were workers running renovation work, drilling holes, cutting out bath tubs etc. serious noisy work, on a Saturday. I had to wait till five to get my rest. Two calls to the reception only helped to make the head of the workers furious, as heard from my room. So there wasnt a manager downstairs to tell this guy to keep it quiet or he didnt care. Or nobody cared. I only wanted a calm day so I just waited. It's a situtaion, isn't it? You pay a five star room to sleep and listen to people breaking walls, all day!
Restaurant is run poorly. 30% capacity is considered an overload. It took forty mins to fix a salad. Breakfast is good, other amenities are just fine. Location is somewhat convenient but far from old town.
I used to like this place but I'm not there again.

Comfortable room and good conditions

We stayed in executive suite, the room was very comfortable and nice. I liked the jacuzzi in the room but jacuzzi's light was not working and also shower phone was a bit broken. Except those, everything else was very good in the room.

Convenient and reasonably priced

The only 5 star hotel on Asian side
Good hotel. Excellent front desk staff. Some of the staff in lounge and restaurant may need training. Mini bar, WiFi and breakfast were included in the rate.

Great Hotel, Roof Terrace with superb views !!

Although this hotel is located a cab ride away from the main tourist attractions of Hagia Sofia & the Blue Mosque, it is well worth short listing. First impressions were superb. After entering a secure site & undergoing brief security checks, we entered an attractive Foyer & comfortable waiting area. A bar with seating area & access to the hotel's pool was located to our left & the hotel's dining room was to our right. Upon checking in, we were very pleased to receive an upgrade to an Executive room located on the 19th floor. After a brief express lift ride we reached a very well presented, clean & spacious room & upon entry found a clean & comfortable bathroom to our right, wardrobes to our left beyond which was a concealed & well stocked fridge, a kettle, cups & hot drink making area. The spacious room contained a selection of furniture, a large & very comfortable, possibly king size, bed, facing which was a TV, large table with drawers, a desk & chair & adjacent to the bed was a bedside table, Chaise lounge & beyond which were the rooms full length windows. The Executive upgrade gave us free access to the Executive Lounge, free snacks & drinks along with access to the roof terrace / smoking area. On the ground floor, the comfortable bar area leads to further seating outside & an excellent pool. Everything was well presented & clean & we were extremely comfortable during our stay. The location of the hotel meant we were unaffected by the 5 time a day call to prayer !!

hotel services are five star. The bell man to the front desk, excellent customer service. Really make you feel welcome and comfortable. there is not much within walking distance but malls, and restaurants are within 5-10 taxi ride. The Asian side is very nice, and modern, unlike the european side of Istanbul. However, next time I would prefer to stay in the EU side which is closer to the airport. More sightseeing and lively.

Amazing hotel, if you're looking in Asian Istanbul

This marriott hotel is amazing. From the first minute we checked in until the moment we checked out, and even after.
Check in was quick.
Front desk was always very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful during the whole stay.
We were in an executive room so we had access to the executive lounge all day (great views and great atmosphere), complimentary breakfast and minibar and fast Internet.
Breakfast was very rich and delicious
Gym/indoor pool were great. Big diversity and very clean.
Again the staff was amazing.
The only setback is that it's far from European side and from Taksim Square. Otherwise, it's a wonderful hotel.

Love this hotel !!

I have stayed here numerous times on business.quick friendly check in and check out. Staff friendly and helpful. My room was huge with a lovely bathroom. The pool and spa are 5-star!! Great breakfast with a very good selection. Evening meals are good and competitively priced. Can't wait to go back.

Good hotel away from the busy city

The hotel was a good break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Some of the staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. There wasn't much TV programming for English speakers. Turks, Russians, and Arabs are the target demographic for this hotel, based solely on the TV programming. Internet was fairly expensive and not free to Gold or Silver Marriott members. Otherwise, it was a very nice hotel with good amenities and very nice pools.
