This was, without question, the WORST hotel experience I have ever had. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS.
Here is why:
1.The hotel is extremely old and poorly maintained. I was shown three different rooms, and every single one smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I don’t have asthma, but I still couldn’t tolerate the level of odor.
2.The front desk staff was rude, dismissive, and arrogant. Instead of helping or acknowledging issues, their attitude was “take it or leave it.”
3.My assigned room was on the first floor. On a Tuesday night, loud bar/disco music started around 11:00 PM and continued for several hours. I later discovered there was a bar directly underneath my room. Sleeping was impossible.
4.The bathroom was in unacceptable condition: there was a cockroach trap in plain sight, the shower was very old and uncomfortable to use, and the door to the room didn’t close securely—it felt unsafe.
5. When I addressed my concerns to the front desk the next morning, the staff’s reaction was shockingly unprofessional. They showed no concern, admitted they knew about the issues, and essentially told me nothing would be done. Their dismissive attitude made it clear that guest experience is NOT a “priority”.
Bottom line: DON’T JUST WALK—RUN AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

The staff at this property are really nice. However, the rooms, hallways, lobby,etc need a major upgrade: carpets were in poor condition, showers not the best. The bedding was clean and location excellent. Also, there was an aroma that was sprayed through the hallways, etc that was a very heavy scent. This is our second time staying here two summers in a row and both times when we returned to our room the room was filled with a smoke smell that had entered our room through the vents.

Very happy with my stay. It is a 4-star property and has the amenities you expect from a 4-star. The rooms were cleaned very well every day. The bed was comfortable but a bit hard. It is very nicely located with much shopping and dining around. Marmaray station is close and easy to use for public transport.

From impressive art deco interiors, walking distance to the shore, welcoming and attentive staff, great breakfast selection, an amazing roof top restaurant with a stunning view of the sea, to proximity to many other amenities and restaurants. Suadiye hotel is one of the best hotels on the Asian side of Istanbul due to its location. The breakfast is open buffet and of very good quality. The staff at the reception are very nice and a significant number of them are young people. However, the employees working as bellboys have been the same for years and unfortunately they are older than they should be and they are not very respectful. We know that there is a taxi problem in Istanbul. It is obvious that these bellboy employees are working under contract with some taxis. When you tell customers to call a taxi, they insistently ask where you are going and act accordingly. The hotel management needs to fix this.

Tried to charge for extra 5 nights when I paid for eight. Was required to provide receipt otherwise they would’ve charged on the spot as I was leaving. **Do not use their shuttle service! They charge double than a regular taxi and more than limousine.

Allthough my reservation was confirmed with queen bed my room had 2 single beds and beds were very uncomfortable. They didn't change or upgrade the room they said hotel is fully booked which is hard to believe since there was so many empty rooms very early in the morning very unusual for a beginning of a weekend. Therefore it was disappointing when you pay good amount of money and can't get a good sleep which is why i was there for. But hotel has a great location and smiley, polite workers .

The hotel is best value for money.I stay there every time I visit Turkey 18 years now.Recently renovated,in one of the best areas of Istanbul on the Asian side and just 30 minutes from the historical center with Istanbul's excellent Metro System.(The station is 5 mins walking from the hotel lobby)

I had selected this hotel for its location (ideal for my needs) but also based on the pictures and guest reviews, but it failed to deliver to my expectations. On arrival I asked the doorman where I could park my car and he gave me a dirty look and asked if I really wanted to park it myself, and I was not impressed by his snooty attitude - not a good welcome or a good start to my stay.The exterior of the property looked impressive, and the lobby too; my check-in was friendly and efficient; but the bell-boy's attitude matched that of the doorman so I declined and found my room myself.

To top it all, I went to the rooftop bar at around 11:25pm for a drink with a view and was initially turned away by the doorman, who told me it was closed. As I walked away I was aware he was laughing with a girl he had appeared to be chatting up, and it seemed very much to be at my expense. When I checked with the lobby receptionist, he confirmed that the bar open until midnight!

At the time of check out was a misunderstanding about the booking, the deposit the payments we have made, so there were 4 people to the reception and they couldn't find the mistake so we are near to lose our flight, after half an hour explanations. At last, we paid so much more for the room, because we made a change, from garden view rooms to sea view rooms.@@@!.I should note that it was our third stay to this hotel!!

Location is the best thing about this hotel. Proximity to Baghdad shops and restaurants as well as the walking path along the sea front. Plus very close to Bostanci ferry station from where you can go to the Princess islands or across to the European side. Hotel staff has improved, quite switched on this time around. Pleasing, and helpful. Facilities, incl rooms, need an uplift particularly if you do not smoke. Bathrooms and toiletries are basic. But good value for money overall.
