Hotel is in good location however very poor guest relations. I have already paid everything except extras via Expedia. At the end they asked for a service charge??? I have never heard from any other hotels at the checkout I have to pay for service charge. I didn’t use any restaurant or bar at the hotel and they asked me to pay for service charge. They force you to wear hat for using the swimming pool which many others never wore any. In all three stars more generous for this hotel!

The family room that states it sleeps up to 7 people is totally wrong. This room sleeps 4 at best and that includes a cot, not a bed. The cot is very uncomfortable and lumpy. Also, the room faced the front of the hotel which is on a busy, busy street. You will hear traffic and people talking outside until very early in the morning. Recommend getting two separate rooms for large families traveling that faces the back of hotel where it is quieter.

Check in was at 3 PM and me and my wife very tired because of the trip we had. We kindly requested early check - in and they gave us the room at 2PM. When we went the room bathroom tap wasn't working. Asked recepetion several times nobody came. After 5 calls and 1 hour Supervisor turned up with the plumbers. Plumbers dismantled the tap and came back at 3PM when we gave hope and trying to sleep. We left the room at 5PM and asked for fix when we came back and asked for room cleaning because plumbers made towels dirty when they were dismantling the tap. When we came at 11PM tap was fixed and room wasn't clean. All the towels dirty. Asked several times to change the room and although its been told to us hotel is fully booked they gave us new room at 11:30 PM at midnight and we changed the room.

On top of that although I asked late check-out before the check-in with additional payment and confirmation room cards are cancelled at 12:00.

The hotel has no noise insulation whatsoever
between the guest rooms and the bar/ restaurant area located on the roof of the hotel. We stayed in an executive room on the 4th floor ( supposedly one of their better rooms) and unfortunately, we could not sleep because of the intense noise. It was as if the DJ was playing in our room. We stayed nine days total - 4 of those days we were not able to sleep peacefully from 11 pm to 1am in the morning. For €506 per night this is absolutely unacceptable.
The best part of the hotel experience was the housekeeping efforts. Hard-working people trying to keep the place neat. During check out the gentleman at the reception was not able to explain some of the charges on our bill. We did have a VIP access privileges which included 10 % discounts at the restaurants- which was not automatically applied as it should have been. We had to ask for it line item by line item. In conclusion, this by no means is a five star hotel. Unfortunately, we will skip this hotel next time.
If you are searching for a five star hotel, sadly, this is not the place to stay. We have been told that they were going to send our receipt to our email. We are still not in the receipt of it even though we checked out Sunday 3am.

The beds are not very comfortable because they are using two twin beds together to make a larger bed however it is nearly impossible to not feel the split between the two mattresses, even when they put a blanket over it

Was quite disappointed that there was no children’s place for breakfast in the morning. I have two little daughters who eat about as much food as can fit in their fist for breakfast and they wanted to charge €25 for each of them each day. I said no thank you and we all made arrangements to have breakfast elsewhere. I just think that’s a very unwelcoming policy especially for children. Because no matter what children are not ever gonna come close to eating €25 worth of food. They said it was a cut off of age 6 my daughters are seven and eight but about the size of six-year-olds and as such they eat the same if not even less than six-year-olds do.

The hotel was gorgeous, but the staff especially at breakfast try to scam you. We agreed to a price of $25 euros per person than they charged us $35 euross, and completely refused to correct it. We enjoyed the hotel, but on the way out, they left us with a sour taste. It wasn’t about the money., it just doesn’t feel good to feel cheated.

The property has a nice interior design,many dinning options, a wonderful spa, nice roof top. And many workers are trying,they do mean well. I just felt it lacked in service. My check in was unpleasant. There was an incident where others hotels would offer something as an appology, but not Wyndham. It's not that I need something for free, it is a token of appreciation of guests, and there was none of that. Just barely baseline service.

We visited the hotel with our 4 month baby and I requested a quiet room. Despite asking for this multiple times we had music banging in our room until 2am in the morning and our baby was disturbed. I mentioned this to guest services and reception. No action or no follow-up. Very disappointing.

Overall, it was great experience. Unfortunately, there is still slight smell of smoke in the hotel corridors though even the room itself was smoke-free.
Would be great, if the hotel honoured Expedia VIP access, silver and gold membership benefits as been communicated by Expedia website during the booking.
Business center in the hotel is “week” with no reliable Internet connection nor English typeset keyboards.

This is not a 5 star hotel. There are cats roaming around the lobby and the bathrooms need some renovation / re-sealing of bath tubs. We checked out and asked that our luggage be stored while we were out in the city. When we came back to get our luggage and head to airport, i.e. 7 hours later, the luggage was still sitting in the lobby. The location is good.

Shower door broken and spilling large amounts of water into bathroom. Towel holders both broken. Toilet roll holder broken and spare broken off and missing. Electrical socket loose on the wall, a clear electrical and fire hazard. Rotten woodwork in the room. Staff not interested to hear my complaints. This place is completely rundown and lacks even basic maintenance. I suggest you avoid it.

I stayed there for 2 times in January and February for about 2 weeks each and this gave me enough tome to evaluate and give a fair review. They deserve 10 stars and 5 is not enough. Cleanness, CSR service and rooms that are well designed and so beautiful. Food is amazing, staff are unbelievably trained to give you the best service. Would highly recommend them and I am going back in June for 2 weeks with my family. Special thanks to Mrs. Ege duty manager, and Merve guest services to make my stay feel like home. They are the best I wish they would work with me and for my company 👌. Other names are Umut, Gulen and Hazal lobby bar which was my everyday spot to work and chil. They are simply the best with the level of service they give you. Alihan and Anday in reception that made my check in and check out smooth and easy with a warm welcoming attitude. These are the name I remember but the entire team in morning and night shift are wonderful people. Hard to believe. Thank you again and will see you in June.

Horrible experience at the Wyndham Kalamis!! First of all i booked a non smoking room, room and whole hallway smelled like smoke. But no problem, pretty common in Istanbul. I was there for a wedding and they were very disorganized. The main dish at the reception was unedible, very dry, everyone sent it back. The events coordinator and main sales guy was straight up trying to milk us for every dollar. We had a second room to use for getting ready and makeup etc, they had the audacity to come and ask me to take my blazer out of the spare room DURING MY RECEPTION INFRONT OF ALL OF OUR GUESTS. then they charged us for an extra night for a whole room just for storing the blazer in the room!!! Every room had some type of mysterious over charges and hidden fees. There are hundreds if not thousands of hotels to stay in all of Istanbul. Avoid this place, they try to scam you every chance they get. Special mention to Alihan and the front desk staff and all the management staff that did absolutely nothing to help. Avoid this place like the plaugue. Bunch of rip offs. Also in the end they called extra staff memebers and security guards to guard the front door as if we were gonna run off on 120 euro after paying 10s of thousands. What a joke of a hotel

I booked and prepaid this stay via Expedia. I was supposed to be given one discounted drink as part of my Expedia booking perk but never received it. Then after I checked out I received a list of charges associated with each night's stay and charges for a minibar which I never used. They never disclosed any of this upon check in or check out. There are other similar feedback/complaints from others who have reviewed this hotel. Totally dishonest. Do not give them your credit card for the security deposit as it was not part of the booking either.

Gorgeous Hotel!

The Wyndham Grand Istanbul Kalamis Marina Hotel is a very elegant and grand hotel. The decor in the hotel is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The bed was comfy, and the decor was amazing!

We were greeted by Ege who showed us around and accompanied us to our room. The front desk staff were also very accommodating, and the concierge was very helpful as well.

Unfortunately, our breakfast at the Jiggers kitchen and bar restaurant was less than appetizing. My omelette had so much cheese on it, I could barely see the eggs. My boyfriend’s croissant had so much garlic on it that you could barely taste the eggs. After experiencing this breakfast, we declined to try the pricey buffet. The restaurant staff were friendly with the exception of one gentleman who was not very friendly at dinner one evening. Everyone else was very kind and helpful.

Overall, this is an amazing hotel with great amenities. I didn’t find very many restaurants I liked within walking distance but there are some great restaurants on the famous Bagdat Street which is a short taxi ride away.

If you want to stay in a beautiful hotel with gorgeous, spacious rooms, this is the place to be when visiting the Asian side of Istanbul.

Do not trust this company.

When I checked out there was no mention of any additional charge. When I got home my credit card had been charged. I contacted their customer service to ask what this related to. Got an email confirming they had received my query and they would respond in 7 days. I emailed them 3 more times. They never replied. They never told me why they took my money without my consent. They never returned my money. This is extremely dishonest.

Very nice property with beautiful views to the marina and the sea. Swimming pools, gym, spa and fitness facilities are of good quality. The rooftop bar, restaurant and food is great. In terms of location, it’s in one of the nice areas of Istanbul’s Asian side. It’s a long drive to the touristic city on the European side. The hotel is surrounded by nice restaurants and the marina is across the street.

The street is very noisy and we knew it before so we stayed on the sea side so our baby can sleep and it was very quiet. The beds are comfy. The AC works fine. But the bathrooms are not clean at all. We stayed here in 2013 and everything looks old and dirty now.

I was assigned to room 135, which unfortunately was located directly above a live music bar/pub. Upon checking in at around 12:30 am, I inquired about the loud music and was informed that it would cease within 15-20 minutes. However, the music continued for approximately 2 hours, preventing me from getting any sleep. To make matters worse, there were preparations happening early in the morning across from our room, presumably for a wedding.

This was my second stay at this hotel. As a frequent traveler for work, I prioritize having a comfortable sleep, which unfortunately hasn't been possible during my last two visits to this hotel. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed

Stayed here while I was getting married in Istanbul. Breakfast options could be better! It was actually not worth it despite plenty of things - they just weren’t very good on that. The rooms were a bit smaller than I had imagined. But otherwise well assigned. Staff were very helpful especially when I needed help finding certain services, none of it came to fruition but they tried and I appreciated that. The guys near the pool area were a bit strange and not friendly - I had my wedding guests in the same hotel and they were a bit snobby to them. On the whole it was a pleasant experience, a business hotel than one for leisure and the front desk / concierge room were lovely.

The staff and service were super friendly and wonderful. They are best part of the hotel experience. The music at the roof top bar went on until 2 and 3 am whole week so maybe turn down the music so hotel guests can sleep.

The room was very nice and clean as well as the lobby. Although the price was too high for what you get. Not much to do around the hotel within walking distance. There was a marina, a park and few restaurants. For anything more you needed to get an Uber.

I stay at this location ever time I'm in Istanbul. Totally recommend it. Very professional friendly staff. I forgot some things in the fridge last time I was there, and later on they could not be found, but that is probably on me as in most hotels housekeeping is supposed to throw away what they find in the fridges as most often they are perishable.
