On January 11, I left a 2 star constructive review of issues I encountered in the previous 2 stays at this property. This follows numerous stays here and an earlier positive review. My constructive review was answered by management with the phrases

“ Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your loyalty over the past few years and are glad to hear you've consistently valued our location, cleanliness, and laundry facilities. However, we're sincerely sorry to learn about the issues you experienced during your stay” And “We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention and hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the reliable, comfortable experience you've come to expect from us.

I tried to check in on February 3rd, was denied when I was told that I was on the do not rent list. When I asked why, they couldn’t tell why. My attempt the next day, after 10 AM took three calls and 11 hit zero to reach operator attempts before the phone was picked up by Neil the GM When I asked why I was on the do not rent list. It took him a while to respond because of as he put it there are many on the do not rent list, however, his reason for putting me on that list was because of my constructive review. He couldn’t refute any of the issues I raised, however, he said that negative reviews hurt business and that’s why I am on the list. He further had the audacity to hang up on me in bed sentence so the call was professional.

This hotel is a perfect location for convenience and has been a go to for the past couple of years. Holiday Inn express locations are a fine option because of price, cleanliness and quality of breakfast.
I stayed at this property, in two separate stays, Six days in the past two weeks. And frankly, the quality of this location has diminished. In my last two stays, I was coincidentally put in the same room. In both stays, the room was immaculately, clean, and the guest laundry was accessible, handy, and well maintained. Check in was relatively simple, but the front desk staff showed for lack of a better way of saying it friendliness. The room phone did not work and was reported two times on the first stay. On the second stay,it still did not work. The toilet clogged each day, and while maintenance was called twice, it clogged immediately after repair. Shower also drained so slowly that it would cause water runoff in the bathroom and also after the draining, left hair and other items from what I assume is past occupants. The breakfast on two of the six days was fine, but on four of the six days it was eggs, visibly burnt, orange juice, empty, and very minimalized selection. A number of other guests, came in, looked at the selection and walked out. The other oddity of this hotel is that the front desk is generally unmanned. There is a bell to ring to get front desk assistance, yet ringing it generally proved fruitless as does calling in.

The staff was courteous. The outside was beautiful and so was the pool. The breakfast was ok, lots of hot options, fresh pancakes you make yourself and eggs and such. Unfortunately our rooms cleanliness was just unacceptable. There were gross stains on the room carpet and in the bathroom and paint chipping from everywhere. The furniture is all new and upgraded but all the outlets were installed improperly and crooked, many not even usable. Thank goodness the sheets were clean because we arrived late and had an early morning the next day, so we just went to sleep otherwise I would’ve definitely requested another room or my money back.

Hotel was very clean. And the complementary breakfast was high-quality. They included high quality yogurt, hot food was cooked. Well the pastries were very attractive and tasted good. We travel a lot for sports and I’ve stayed in hotels with very subpar continental breakfast. This one was of higher quality than others we had.

Sweet hotel, large and comfortable rooms with comfy beds and fluffy pillows. All amenities we needed and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was fresh and tasted great…bacon, eggs, potato wedges, cereals, pancakes, freshly oatmeal with ALMONDS, cranberries and brown sugar. 3 juices, hard boiled eggs, a variety of yogurts, bottled milk, 2 types of breads and muffins and some of the best coffee ever. Overall, a great experience.

Plenty of parking. Room was clean and there was plenty of room. We had a 2 queen room with two teens. 2 chairs, desk, microwave (perfect for leftovers), mini fridge.
Room was cleaned daily, (reservation said no housekeeping service) Breakfast was perfect. Pancake maker was a hit!!!! So easy. Staff continually cleaning tables and replacing food. Friendly, considerate, and accomodating. Clean, updated! A great value. Will definitely return. Went to battleship cove and Newport! Many options on DoorDash, a plus for teens. Deliver directly to your room.

There was nothing to complain about, besides the weather on the rainy, windy night I arrived. Check in was quick and easy. The room was up two floors and 50 ft away. Room was spotless, and comfy. In the bathroom, there was a chip out of the tub rim, revealing a black subsurface, but it was small and obviously clean.
At breakfast, a typical motel offering of scrambled eggs, the eggs had sat a while and the sausage patties were a trifle old, but ever-so edible. Enjoyed the yogurt and muffin assortment. Coffee was good and fresh.

Very nice hotel, off of highway. Looks fairly new. We only stayed a couple days but the room was clean. They had a coffee station and a refrigerator. A large cabinet to hang clothes. A nice bathroom, walk in shower with Dove products.

The desk clerks were friendly. They had an open lobby area with drinks and snacks to buy. The breakfast was very good. One of the best breakfast areas we have had as most hotels do not refill items or care about its look. They kept refilling food which was appreciated. The seating area is good size. We would stay again.

Came in from a late/delayed flight, got to the hotel past 2am. When I went to check-in, the staff informed me they couldn't check me in because their computers were down. I waited in the lobby for about 30 mins while the two staff members were off in another room trying to reset the computers. Not a good experience, especially that late at night, but they insisted there was nothing they could do for me until the computers were back up.
After 30 mins, they got me into a room on the third floor, then let me know the elevator was broken.
Entering the room, it smelled like cats/cat-pee. The room, especially the bathroom, was quite worn down and not all that clean. When I showered the next morning, the shower drain was so clogged I could only take a 5 min shower before the water was going to pour out onto the floor.
The breakfast had plenty of options, which brings this from 1 star to 2.

The worst thing was our bed sheet where not changed after the last guest slept in the bed! You could see where they slept, hairs, and the smelled. Even though it's 100% wrong that seems to be the case and a lot of hotels. This is one of the most nastiest things that can be left unchanged. The bathroom area had mold all along the baseboard. The silicone around the baseboard was discolored, yellow, and found multiple hairs left over in the shower from past guest. The hallway carpets are covered with stains and I was placed on the third floor, even though I was using a cane and the elevator went down for three days we had to push our luggage down the stairs that type of thing happens. It's understandable it just added to the frustrations. Also, when calling the desk about my sheets, they were never changed. I had to go down them and get myself and come back up and make my own bed. There was no housekeeping staff not a big deal because I have a cell phone, but the landline telephone wires were ripped from the phone and unusable to call the front desk. I expect better staying at a Holiday Inn express. It's not a five star hotel I know but come on.

I tend to book a night here randomly for some quiet to use the pool and have someone make breakfast for me every now and then. Most recently I’ve noticed some lacking on the cleaning but ignored it at first. Last nights stay of course was top notch sleep. However the ceiling was peeling. The bathroom shelf had residue of some sort stuck on it. To make things worse, when unfolding one of the towels, there was some sort of debris stuck on the towel. Of course my mind went right to feces. I did notice new faces in the building. Upon checking out there was a sign stating the staff was assisting someone else; so I was not able to ask if they were under new ownership. Although the location is great I hope they plan to implement some modern updates.
