Not what we expected. We reserved 2 nights and left after the first night and found another hotel, even without a refund. They gave us a smoking room, the smell was so bad it kept waking me up. Our room was right by the front office, with chairs set up outside every room. A half dozen people were talking and laughing right outside our window until midnight. There are no sidewalks there and we had to cross 6 lanes of traffic to find somewhere to eat without crosswalks. Definitely not a good place if you don’t have a vehicle. The staff was nice, it’s not their fault. It’s just very run-down. Not worth what we paid.

Wonderful old school hotel. lovely grounds - area a bit run down but that's not the hotels fault. Only saw one little old lady working the 2 days we were there- super friendly - they had hot coffee in the morning but no food. The room was not old fashion I am happy to say with a big TV, a mini fridge and the best bed I have slept in for a while. I would stay there again!

There were some sort of bugs in my bathroom. They looked like tiny ants but I noticed some had wings. They were crawling around everywhere and even floating in the toilet water. There was a clump of hair on the ground that wasn’t mine and also some wrapper behind the night stand upon check in. I didn’t spend any time in this hotel other than to sleep so it didn’t affect my trip thankfully.

It's a bit of a throwback, in a very pleasant way. You get an actual key to your room, which is charming in this day and age. The room was clean, though there was an ash tray in it, which means the faint smell of smoke i thought i whiffed was genuine. Otherwise, it did the job.

Nice cozy place 10 min distance from Providence. Spacious and clean rooms with nice services. We had 2 queens beds that easily accommodated 3 persons. The place is quiet. In the morning, they have coffee in the lobby and pastries. There was a BBQ place just around the corner, serving southern type BBQ and it was super convenient for a quick lunch.

If you’re looking for a clean, affordable place to stay in the Seekonk/Providence area, The Colonial Inn is a great value. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for under $100 a night it exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Room was done over and not bad for price but bathroom door wouldnt shut all the way and there is no vent in the bathroom. Front door didnt feel super secure we put a chair up against it to sleep

I had a very disappointing experience at Colonial Inn.
First, I was placed in a smoking room—something I didn’t even realize still existed. The smell was overwhelming and completely unacceptable. It was so bad that we had to keep the windows open the entire time and even went out to buy a candle just to make the room somewhat bearable.
When I asked to switch rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked, so we were stuck dealing with it.
To make matters worse, they charged a $100 security deposit, and it has now been two weeks with no refund. When I called to follow up, the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude and didn’t even bother checking whether the deposit had been released.
Between the condition of the room, lack of accommodation, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below expectations.
I would not recommend staying here.

To make matters worse, they charged a $100 security deposit, and it has now been two weeks with no refund. When I called to follow up, the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude and didn’t even bother checking whether the deposit had been released.
Between the condition of the room, lack of accommodation, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below expectations.
I would not recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed staying at this Inn. The room is spacious and very clean, equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. The bed is very comfortable. The room temperature can be adjusted and The windows can be opened. The Inn is placed within walking distance from shops and restaurants, there is a supermarket near by with fresh produces. Also the Inn is very close to Interstate which makes very accessible. The staff is very friendly and professional. We will stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Staff were really nice. They have a good library of books to read in the reception area. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available at reception. Only issues were that the smell of Lysol in the room was really strong, even after airing out, and the cleaning staff was yacking loudly on the phone in the morning outside our room. But they were very friendly! Rooms are pretty basic but very clean and comfortable. No extra blanket and a very light one on the bed so be sure to ask for another if you need it.

It was ok! Stayed here because we were seeing a show in providence and couldn’t get a hotel room closer. Room was clean, but not terribly comfortable - a little stuffy, and bed wasn’t very comfortable. Our room’s door faced into a hallway, so it was noisy with people talking and laughing until late at night. It was acceptable but we wouldn’t seek it out again.

I love this place. I travel a lot and this is my go to when I’m in Seekonk. Housekeeping does a great job presenting the rooms and the origami and bed set up is so cute. In the area for a sports tournament. This Inn was easy to get to and located near several restaurants and stores. Parking right outside our room was super convenient. The room was great - having everything one would need. The extra sink was a bonus. Staff were friendly. Everything was clean. I would definitely stay here again especially because the price was far better than the larger chain hotels in the area.

This is a very nice local motel. I stayed only one night, so I noted,but did not investigate, the coffee bar in the lobby. The room was nice and included a MICROWAVE as well as the usual small refrigerator. My only complaint was the shower, which was hot, but weak. I vastly preferred it to many more expensive places I have been in.
