The room was clean but had several issues with it. Microwave didn't work. Sink wouldn't drain. There were no electrical plugs anywhere near bed to plug in phone or computer, which was frustrating. It's a fine place to stay for a night or 2, though. Clean and safe area. Nothing to worry about and the fixes were easy. Hopefully nxct time I'm in a better room.

The Colonial Inn went through a pretty big upgrade in the past few years - it used to be a dump, but it's pretty nice now. Not the Hilton, for sure, but I'd definitely consider it to be a good value now. The room was clean (although there's a general smell of disinfectant that's not great), the bed was comfy, and everything was in good condition.

TV pictures fuzzy, blurry. 1st person was brusque and unwelcoming, but the other people I saw were friendly and helpful. Large parking lot. Coffee was drinkable and \"continental breakfast\" consisted of packaged danishes. It has the potential to be a very charming inn, but someone needs to make it good. Currently it isn't!

In the orbitz info for the Colonial Inn, it stated that it was seven minutes from Brown University. This is why we chose this hotel. When we checked in, the receptionist, who lectures at multiple colleges, told us that no matter which direction she is traveling in, it usually takes three or four times the amount of time to get to any destination that it should take because traffic is ALWAYS heavy. I'm so glad that she warned us. The \"seven minute\" trip took us 35 minutes. Had we not been warned, we would have missed our appointment at Brown. Our other concern was the paper thin adjoining door through which we could hear every word of the conversations of the the people in the next room. Every other aspect of this hotel was ideal. The person who checked us in, was working there only part time. She was a lovely physician/virologist who was very helpful with info regarding the traffic, places to eat, location of ice machine, and even let me pick her brain for REAL science based vaccine info.

I was very disappointed. I went to the office and saw the manager when I checked out. The drawers were not wiped out, the desk chair was horrible, there was hair on the wall in the bathroom along with overspray of cleanser on the toilet and mold on the bathtub ceiling. TV was very small. Towels were very skimpy. Manager was a little sarcastic and never even offered to give a discount. Will not be going back there.

Stayed at the Colonial Inn in Seekonk, MA during a trip to Providence, RI, Newport, RI and Fall River, MA, this location was very convenient to all 3 locations, Motel room was clean, had all the conveniences of home, it was bright and newly redecorated, quiet and had easy parking. Price point was great for the value! Highly recommend.

We attended a great concert (America!) in Providence on Sat night at the PPAC, and we needed a place to stay just outside the city. We chose the Colonial Inn, and we WILL be back! Upon check-in, we were welcomed by David, the manager. He could not have been more professional, friendly, and helpful! The room was immaculate and, it appeared to us, newly renovated, complete with a fridge and microwave. The PPAC was a mere 15ish minute drive away, and we quickly got into Providence. The property was very neat and clean and QUIET . . . we got a great night’s sleep after the concert. At checkout, we met the sweet and lovely Kudi who was working the front desk. The takeaway: this is a wonderful place to stay!

True statement of you can't judge a book by its cover...this place is a hidden jem...I rented the room bc i had a wedding to go to and live10 mins away however my entire neighborhood was out of electricity when I arrived home from work at 1pm..the wedding was at 4 ..in a panic I rented the first available one on the web..I arrived and was dreading opening the room door but to my delight it smelled looked and felt absolutely fantastic..what was something that I was freaking out about was put at ease...I was able to get ready for the wedding AND at the end of the night the room still smelled looked and felt comfortable which alerted me to the fact that it was not a mask.. I was able to rest in a very comfortable bed...will def recommend to anyone that wants to listen!!
